Abstract

This research is experimental research that aims to determine whether the model of learning, cognitive style and ability to influence the outcome of learning early math class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Rantepao. Population in this research is class VIII SMP Negeri 1Rantepao. The instrument used in this study was the observation sheets, questionnaires, mathematics achievement test that includes pre-test and post-test, test early and test the ability of cognitive style (Test GEFT). The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis using linear regression with interaction factors. The results showed that students mathematics learning outcomes are influenced by a model of learning, cognitive styles and abilities early.

Abstract

This research aim to know image of domination of teacher to innovation of study bases on curriculum 2013, level of education of teacher, study effectiveness bases on curriculum 2013, and bearing between dominations to innovation of study and level of education of teacher with study effectiveness bases on curriculum 2013 in Town Elementary School Makassar. This research applies quantitative approach with research type of deskriptif-korelasional is having the character of one way. Research variable that is: domination of teacher to innovation of study bases on curriculum 2013 (X1) and level of education of teacher (X2) as independent variable, and execution effectiveness of study of curriculum 2013 as dependent variables. Population of Research that is all schoolteacher Dasar Kota Makassar teaching matter based on curriculum 2013 counted 17, then pulled sample in cluster sampling counted 3 district with category closest, medium, and far counted 6 school with teacher 56 as responder. Data collecting applies enquette and documentation, while data processing applies descriptive statistical analysis and statistical analysis inferensial applies correlation product moment, multiple correlation, and test t. Result of research that is: (1) level of domination of teacher to innovation of study bases on curriculum 2013 in Town Elementary School Makassar pertained masters, (2) level of education of teacher in Town Elementary School Makassar most of graduate Strata Satu ( S-1), (3) study effectiveness bases on curriculum 2013 in Town Elementary School Makassar pertained effective, and (4) there is  positive correlation signifikan either parsially and also together between dominations of teacher to innovation of study bases on curriculum 2013 and level of education of teacher with study effectiveness bases on curriculum 2013 in elementary school Kota Makassar. Mean, increasingly good level of domination of teacher to innovation of study bases on kurukulum 2013 and supported by level of education of teacher, hence increasingly effective also study process bases on curriculum 2013.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop the ability of students mathematical literacy by applying the journal assessment for students of MTs Negeri Gantarang of Bantaeng Regency. Method This research is qualitative research classroom action research. Data collection in research consists of 2 cycles with the intention to know the effect of journal writing on improving students mathematical literacy skills. Each cycle consists of 4 stages of planning, implementation, observation, reflection. The result of the research showed that the ability of students mathematics literacy VII A MTs Negeri Gantarang Bantaeng Regency through the use of journals as an alternative assessment in learning has grown and developed which is marked by the increase in formulating, applying and interpreting problems or problems given in LKS, Mathematical reasoning and using concepts, procedures, and facts to describe or explain in writing events or understandings during learning, seen from the results of student journal writing at the beginning of the journals have shown how students answer questions in the student worksheet and they can identify information and complete problem. It is also shown from the completeness of learning mathematics class VII A students have achieved the classical 76.19% or more than 75% of students who achieve a minimum score of 75

Abstract

This study is an expost facto research that aims to determine the influence of learning styles, family climate, and self-confidence in mathematics learning outcomes. The research population of students in grade XI IPA SMA Negeri Somba Opu District 2015/2016. Sampling technique with proportional stratified random sampling. Total sample of 158 students. Instruments used learning style tests, family climate questionnaires, confidence questionnaires, and mathematics learning outcomes. Data were obtained by using regression analysis. The results of the study reveal that (1) there is influence of learning style on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject, (2) there is influence of family climate on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject, (3) there is no influence of self confidence on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject, (4) there is interaction between learning style and family climate on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject, (5) there is interaction between learning style and self confidence on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject, (6) there is no interaction between family climate and self confidence on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject, and (7) there is influence of learning style, family climate, and self confidence on learning outcomes in Mathematics subject by 13% and 87% which are influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The study aims to discover; (i) the implementation of academic supervision of school supervisor; (ii) teachers’ work motivation, (iii) professional competence of Mathematics teachers of SMAN (Public Senior High School), (iv) the influence of the implementation of academic supervision of school supervisor and teachers, work motivation simultaneously toward professional competence of Mathematics teacher of SMAN, (v) the influence of implementation of academics supervision of school supervisor toward professional competence of Mathematics teachers after considering teachers’ work motivation, (vi) the influence between teachers’ work motivation and professional competence  of Mathematics teachers of SMAN after considering the implementation of academic supervision of school supervisor based on teachers’ perception. The study is a survey research. The populations were Mathematics teachers at SMAN in Pinrang and Sidrap District. The samples were obtained by employing Area Proportional Random Sampling. The data was analyzed by using partial correlation and regression. The result of the descriptive analysis indicates that the implementation of academic supervision of school supervisor is in high category, teachers’ work motivation is in high category, and professional competence of Mathematics teachers is in very high category. The results of the research reveal that: (i) academic supervision of school supervisor and teachers’ work motivation simultaneously give influence toward professional competence of Mathematics teacher, (ii) the implementation of academic supervision of school supervisor give influenced towards professional of Mathematics teachers at SMAN after considering Mathematics teachers’ work motivation, (iii) after considering the implementation of academic supervision of school supervisor, there is influence of teachers’ work motivation toward professional competence of Mathematics teachers at SMAN.

Abstract

The study is an experiment research with pretest and postets design, which aims at examming (1) the effectiveness of cooperative lerning model of TPS type; (2) the effectiveness of cooperative lerning model of NHT type; (3) and the comparison of the the effectiveness of cooperative lerning model of TPS type and NHT type based on independent learning of students. The result of the study reveal that (1) the impelementation of cooperative learning model of TPS type is effective when impelemented in class VIII at MTsN 2 Makassar of plane space geometry; (2) the impelementation of cooperative learning model of NHT type is effective when impelemented in class VIII at MTsN 2 Makassar of plane space geometry; (3) there are differences of the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of TPS type and NHT type based on independent learning of students on plane space geometry in class VIII at MTsN 2 Makassar which in high category; (4) there is not difference of the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of TPS type and NHT type based in independent learning of students on plane space geometry in class VIII at MTsN 2 Makassar which in not high category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to describe the implementation of discovery learning model in science learning,  learning motivation, and to examine the influence of the application of discovery learning model toward the motivation of the fifth grade students of SDN Mannuruki in science subjects.  Research is a quantitative research which  used true experimental design with pre-test-post-test control group design.  The result of this research shows that: (i) The implementation of discovery learning model at the experimental group followed the syntax of discovery learning model namely observation, constructing questioning, making hypothesis, collecting data and making conclusion; (ii) The motivation of the fifth grade students of SDN Mannuruki in science learning categorized as medium before applying the discovery learning model; (iii) There is a significant effect of the implementation of discovery learning model toward the motivation of the fifth grade students of SDN Mannuruki in Science learning where the significant value is 0.0015 < α 0.05.. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the implementation of discovery learning model toward the motivation of the fifth grade students of SDN Mannuruki in science learning

Abstract

The objectives of the research are to discover (1) the description of the implementation of socio-drama , (2) the description of the students’ pro-social behaviors before and after the implementation of socio-drama technique in group guidance, (3) wether there is influence of socio-drama technique in group guidance toward the improvementof pro-social behaviors of the students. The research employed quantitative approach by using true experimental desugn in form of pretest posttest control group design. The subjects of the research were 30 students of class XI who were identified had low pro-social behaviors divided into 15 students in the experiment group and 15 students in the control group. The data collection techniques employed pro-social scale and observation. The results of the reaseacrh reveal that (1) Socio-drama technique in group guidance was implemented in four sessions; first session builds the sense of helping each other, second session builds cooperation attitude, third session builds the senseof honesty, and fourth sessions builds students’ emphaty, (2) the level of pro-social behaviors of the students at before treatment was given to the experiment and control group in this case socio-drama training in group guidance is in low category, but after treatment was given, the level of students’ pro-social behaviors in experiment group improve or in high category; whereas, students in control group are still in low category, (3) the implementation of socio-drama technique in group guidance gives positive influence significantly towards the improvement of the students pro-social behaviors, meaning that when socio-drama technique in group guidance is implemented, it helps improving pro-social behaviors of the students.

(3) differences in the critical thinking ability of learners who have high initial ability and low initial ability are taught by guided inquiry learning model with learners who are taught by discovery learning learning model. (4) the difference in the ability of conceptual understanding between learners who have high initial ability and low initial ability that is taught by guided inquiry learning model with learners who are taught by discovery learning learning model. (5) the difference between the critical thinking ability of learners with high initial ability and low initial ability which is taught by guided inquiry learning model and discovery learning. (6) the difference between the difference in the understanding of high-ability early-skilled learners and low initial skills learned by guided inquiry learning and discovery learning models. Research is a quasi-experimental research (quasi experiment). The results of the research are: (1) There are differences of learning model to the critical thinking ability of learners; (2) There are differences of learning model to; (3) There is a difference of students early ability to critical thinking ability of learners; (4) There is a difference in the learners early ability to understand the concept of the learner; (5) There is a difference between the difference in the critical thinking ability of learners with high initial ability and low initial ability taught by the learning model; (6) There is a difference between the difference in understanding the concept of learners with high initial ability and low initial ability learned by the learning model.
