Abstract

Multidisciplinary study is often conducted to investigate emotions. Research on emotions focuses on the situation, behavior and beliefs that underlie the emergence of emotion, and not on the emotion itself. Research on emotion not only examine the types of emotions alone but is associated with the situation, behaviors, and beliefs. It is inseparable from emotion regulation system that is owned by someone. Gross & Thompson and Kalat & Shiota state that emotion regulation may serve as a coping strategy to face psychological distress. Prihartanti’s research shows that in Javanese culture (Suryomentaram concept), a healthy person must be a able to adapt to the environment with introspective methods. Theoretically, the introspective method is similar to the concept of emotion regulation version of western culture. Therefore, this study intends to study the difference between the two concepts. The research method used is a comparative study using two approaches, namely qualitative and quantitative. A qualitative approach was conducted in the first year with the aim of acquiring data directly from the field then compiled into a gauge or scale. Quantitative approaches were used to examine differences between the introspective emotion regulation. Result shows that there are differences and similarities between the concepts of introspection in Suryomentaram with emotion regulation. The similarity lies on the ultimate goal, role and function, cognitive approaches and generalizations, while the difference lies in the step or process.

They also used the passive voice when recounting the tales. They used the verb suffix {di-} and {di-in}. Acquisition of syntax through recounting tales can be applied in accordance with existing standards of competency.

Abstract

This research aims to produce instructional design and model-based constructivist learning course of Statistics Math through lesson study in an effort to improve the quality of learning. Besides, it is also to find the effect of the use of the device and the constructivist model of learning based on student results. This study uses the approach of research and development (research & development). Results of research and development are as follows: (1) The statistical learning mathematics, covering the syllabus, lecture and Quality Plans, and Teaching materials are ready to be validated through lesson study approach, planning, implementation, reflection, and follow-up. (2) Design-based constructivist learning model includes the stages of orientation, elicitasi, restructuring ideas, the application and review. (3) Based on the findings of the trial results and the model of learning, particularly in the development of student activity indicates that the use of constructivist-based learning model can increase the activity of students, as measured by indicators of the ability to answer questions, the ability to propose ideas, and the ability to submit allegations.

Abstract

A research on Syntax learning model in university is needed because such research is barely available for reference yet. Existing research on learning models are commonly carried out in high and middle schools, not university. This research aims to expose Syntax learning model in universities in Central Java and Yogyakarta. As object of research, two departments of Indonesian Language and Literature in Yogyakarta, one department of Indonesian language and Literature in Central Java, and one department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education in Central Java are chosen to be analyzed. The model includes: existence of lecture plan (RPP/RMP), teaching material, lecturer methods/strategy, learning media, and evaluation method. Data of research is collected through interview and document analysis, which is done quantitatively us- ing interactive and comparative models. This research reaches five conclusions. First, all departments in the research have both RPP (lecture plan) and RMP (lecture quality plan), even though with slight differences in names and details. Second, the departments have similarities and differences in term of teaching material. As a similarity, teaching material based on lecturer research is not found. Third, the departments have similarities and differences in term of teaching methods. Interestingly, some departments use unique learning method that synergizes with ideology of the particular university. Fourth, learning media between the departments is varied. Not every department is familiar with multimedia technology though some lecturers smartly use games as learning media to cover the lack of multimedia technology. Fifth, the departments use different evaluation method with different components. Some departments uses UKD (base competence test) while some are using UAS (end semester test).
