Abstract

Telecommunication industry in Indonesia is growing rapidly in the last two decades. Prepaid services remain dominant (above 90%), in which 95% are distributed electronically. The condition attracts many players to participate in the business and eventually increasing the competitive tension among them. Based on market orientation perspective, we investigate whether responsiveness toward competitors deliver higher performance for electronic server company? Moreover, this study address under which conditions that the relationship is strengthened or weakened? By distributing questionnaires among all electronic server companies in Surabaya, we reported that responsiveness toward competitors positively contribute to companies’ performance. The relationship strengthened when the slack resources was low than high, while there was no moderating effect of competitive tension. Managerial and academic implications are further discussed.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to analyze: 1) the effect of physical support to contact personnel, 2) the effect of service delivery systems that consist of physical support and contact personnel to hospital image, 3) the effect of service delivery systems that consist of physical support and contact personnel to hospital consumer trust’, 4) the effect of hospital image to consumer trust’. This research is a quantitative research. This research is descriptive and verivicative research with descriptive and explanatory survey methods. Type of investigation in this research is causality with time coverage is cross sectional. Sampling method used in this research is multistage sampling by taking four public hospital in Banyumas residence with 100 hospital consumers’ as respondents (patients and their family). Data analysis methods used in this research are descriptive analysis and path analysis. The research results show that: 1) Physical support correlate to contact personnel, 2) physical support affecting hospital image, 3) contact personnel is not affecting hospital image, 4) physical support affecting consumers’ trust, 5) contact personnel affecting consumers’ trust, 6) hospital image affecting consumers’ trust.

Abstract

Success in realizing the objectives company relies heavily on existing human resources in organizations in such company. To realize the objectives of the company, the company must consider factors that affect the performance of Civil Servants Work Motivation among others factors, Compensation, and Job Satisfaction. With the achievement of expected performance of Civil Servants Kebon Jeruk District Company can achieve its objectives. Kind research used is descriptive method, Pearson Correlation and Path Analysis is useful to know the response of employees on Work Motivation, Compensation for Job Satisfaction and Their Impacts on Civil Service Performance Kebon Jeruk District Company District Company where the employee population of 60 respondents. Provided the results of a calculation of the structural equation, Y = 0.579 X1 + 0.325 X2 + 0.644 ε1, where R2 = 0.585, sub-structure structural equation 2 ie, Z = 0.191 X1 + 0.239 X2 + 0.618 Y + 0.402 ε2 where R2 = 0.838 Conclusions and Recommendations of this research work motivation (X1) and Compensation (X2) jointly have a significant influence on job satisfaction (Y) equal to 58.8%. Work motivation (X1), Compensation (X2), and Job Satisfaction (Y) jointly have a significant influence on the performance of Civil Servants (Z) equal to 83.8%.

Abstract

High competence human resources can support employee performance improvement and contribute in determining the companys future. The aim of this research is to examine and analyze the simultaneous and partial effects of competence characteristics consisting of knowledge and skills, self-concept, and the motives and traits on the performance of employees in the marketing department PT. X. The samples in this study were employees of the marketing department PT. X as many as 42 people, technical analysis is a technique used multiple linear regression analysis. The results found that knowledge and skills, self-concept and motive effect traits Employee Performance in the Marketing Department.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the possibility of Earnings Management in the financial statement of Islamic Banks. The population of research includes Islamic general bank. This research applied purposive sampling with Islamic general banks issuing financial statement within consecutive five years ; 2002 – 2006. The hypothesis of the research is the Earnings Management in the financial statement of Islamic Banking. This research applied the method of Total Accrual Healy (1985) as described in Arfani and Sasongko (2005) to identify Earnings Management. Based on the test performed, the average total accrual for 5 years of research is positive and negative, thus, it can be concluded that there is Earnings Management in the financial statement of Islamic Banking in Indonesia as for case Islamic Bank “X” and “Y”.

Abstract

Spiritual leadership is creation of values, attitude and behavior which is required to motivate one’s selves and other by intrinsic motivation to achieve spiritual survival sense through calling and membership.  Impact of spiritual leadership in developing relationship between leader and follower are value creation in harmony, empowerment of member and individual, increase psychology aspect and welfare until the organizational commitment is achieved.  The objectives of the research are to gain knowledge regarding influence of spiritual leadership to organizational commitment through calling and membership. This research was conducted to 50 employees of PT Asuransi Takaful Keluarga Marketing Office in East Java.  Analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is Partial Least Square (PLS).Based on analysis result, we conclude that: (1) spiritual leadership is has significant influence to calling (2) spiritual leadership has significant influence to membership (3) calling has significant influence to organizational commitment and (4) membership has significant influence to organizational commitment. Keywords: Spiritual Leadership, Organizational Commitment, Calling/Meaning, Membership.
