Abstract

Brand image is one of the important aspects of marketing, this also happens to the 212 minimarkets which is being discussed lately. The aims of this study are to understand the role of viral marketing on the formation of brand images and interest in shopping at minimarket 212. This study is qualitative using questi0nonaire as the method of data collection. The population of this research is the general population of Palembang aged 16-69 years who have sufficient knowledge of 212 minimarkets. The result of this study, are as follows: first, that viral marketing has a significant effect on the brand image (Est: 0.426; SE: 0.033; CR: 0.033; P: 000). Second, that viral marketing has a significant effect on behavioral intentions (Est: 0.261; SE: 0.040; CR: 6.538; P: 0.000). Third, that brand image has a significant effect on behavioral intentions (Est: 1,187; SE: 0,067; CR: 17,708; P: 0,000). Thus, the effect of viral marketing on shopping interest in a 212 minimarket has the smallest influence value among other variables which is only 0.26 point. However, with the brand image variable as an intervening variable, the effect is greater up to 0.50 point, this means that brand image which formed through viral marketing get a good response from the public to increase the willingness to shop.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the determinants of non-performing financing (NPF) in Islamic banks in Indonesia. The study objects are the Islamic banking industry during the first quarter of 2008 until the third quarter of 2019. The variables in this study are inflation, growth of Gross Domestic Product (PDB), and Bank Indonesia rate. The statistic method used is the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). The result shows that inflation shock significantly affects the trend of NPF, while others do not give significant effect to NPF of Islamic Banking.

Abstract

East Java is one of the potential provinces on the island of Java consisting of 29 districts and 9 cities. East Java is also a densely populated island, but as the population grows, so does the standard of living that must be fulfilled by the government. If this cannot be fulfilled, poverty will occur. So we need the other factors that can reduce the rate of poverty. The aims of this study is to determine the effect of the Human Development Index (HDI), Growt Rate Domestic Product (GDRP), and unemployment rates on the rate of poverty in the province of East Java in 2011 to 2018. The estimation results of the Data Panel model using Eviews 9 and Microsoft Excel 2007 software. It is known that the HDI, GRDP, and unemployment rates in 2011 to 2018 were able to reduce the number of poor people that occurred in the province of East Java. Besides variable of GRDP, variable of HDI in this study also played a major role in reducing the number of poor people. So in this case the role of the government is needed to improve the HDI in order to reduce the number of poor people in the province of East Java. Because HDI is one factor that in line with Islamic efforts in alleviating poverty.

Abstract

The development of endowments land in the agricultural sector is very essential because it is one of the strengthening sectors of the Indonesian economy. This study aims to identify the development of sustainable endowments strategies through the agricultural sector at Yayasan Pemeliharaan dan Perluasan Wakaf Pondok Modern (YPPWPM), Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Ponorogo. To identify the endowments development strategies in the agricultural sector this research using a qualitative method using a SWOT analysis. The result shows that Yayasan Pemeliharaan dan Perluasan Wakaf Pondok Modern (YPPWPM), Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Ponorogo carried out three-factor systems for the sustainable development strategy. First, using the waqf land rental system. Second, the development of the management system. and thirdly, the profit-sharing system with the concept of muzara'ah. On the other hand, the results of the SWOT analysis indicate that this model is worth continuing to develop sustainable endowments so that the benefits of endowments can be fulfilled continuously.

Abstract

The existence of the regulation for Islamic banking causes it to conduct their activities by the guidance of Islamic principles which avoid some non-halal sources of income. On the other hand, the transactions between Islamic banking and conventional banking are unavoidable because conventional financial institutions still dominate all transactions in each country. Means that non-halal sources of income cannot be avoided, by the way of the transaction is done. This research aims to analyze the sources of income and its distribution of the non-halal funds of Islamic Banks in Indonesia. This research is quantitative. The method of collecting data documentation uses data from 2015-2017 with a total sample of 102 Islamic banks. The results show that there were differences in the average non-halal funds of Islamic Commercial Banks with Islamic Business Unit Bank. In addition, this study shows that Islamic commercial bank tends to have non-halal funds bigger than Islamic Business Unit Bank. On the other hand, the result shows that non-halal funds sources in the banking industry are dominated by interest income from another conventional bank and the using of non-halal funds is dominated by social activities.

Abstract

The act of accuracy and prudence is very important in the company because is the factor that determines the sustainability of companies such as banking. This study aims to analyze the effect of Shariah Complaints towards the profitability of Islamic Banks in Indonesia. This type of research is quantitative. The data collection method used is the documentation method and library study method. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling with the criteria of Islamic commercial banks that publish annual-reports from 2013 to 2017 from 13 Islamic commercial banks (BUS) in Indonesia. The results of this study show that the Funding and Investment, Products and Services, Employees, Community or Social, Environmental, Corporate Governance simultaneously does not have influence significantly the ROE variable, but it does significantly influence to ROA. Means that the wider the Islamic social reporting of Islamic banking, the greater the profitability of Islamic banking. In addition, high profitability will encourage managers to provide more detailed information, because they want to convince investors of company profits and its compensation for management.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the Statement of Islamic Accounting Standards, Sharia Audit, Sharia Supervision, Islamic Corporate Governance, and Islamic Work Ethos affect the Quality of Sharia Financial Statement Presentation in the Baitul Wat Mal of Wonogiri Regency Regional Office. This study uses a quantitative approach. Samples were taken by convenience sampling method. The research objects encompass five BMT’s located approximately 10 km away from the Wonogiri Regent's Office which consists of three sub-districts, namely Selogiri, Wonogiri, and Ngadirojo. 35 questioners are processed and analyzed using SPSS Version 23. The variables of interest include 12 PSAK, 16 sharia audit, 8 sharia supervision, 3 ICG, 8 Islamic work ethos and 27 quality indicators of sharia financial report. Based on the results of this study, there are many effects of statement of Islamic accounting standards and Islamic work ethos on the quality presentation of Islamic financial statements. On the other hand, Islamic auditing, sharia supervision, Islamic corporate governance can not affect the quality presentation of sharia financial statements. Simultaneous test, the statement of sharia accounting standards, sharia audits, sharia supervision, Islamic corporate governance and the Islamic work ethos at the same time influence on the quality presentation of the sharia financial report.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether socioeconomic factors, production factors, religiosity factors, and transparency factors influence the selection of agricultural production sharing models in the Residency of Madiun. This research is quantitative with multiple regression analysis. Based on the T-test, socioeconomic factors partially have a significant influence on the selection of agricultural production sharing models in the Madiun Residency of 3.701. Meanwhile, the factor of religiosity has a significant effect on the selection of agricultural production sharing models in the Madiun Residency with a significance level of 0.039. Furthermore, the factor of production does not have a significant effect with a significance level of 0.778. Finally, it is a factor that has a significant influence on the selection of revenue sharing models with a significance level of 0.008. While based on ANOVA test results, the F count of 10.288 with a significance level of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05, which means that socioeconomic, religiosity, production, and transparency factors simultaneously have an influence on the selection of revenue sharing models.
