Abstract

The low students learning motivation, students do not use learning resources well, and low of parents' attention to children's learning activities were related to students mathematics learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive relationship between and significant relationship between learning motivation, use of learning resources, and parents' attention with the result of mathematics learning outcomes in students class VII on odd semester at MTs Negeri Godean Academic Year of 2015/2016. The population in this study was all students of class VII on odd semester at MTs Negeri Godean Academic Year of 2015/2016 consists of 4 class. While the sample being picked class VII B and test class VII A as a study sample with a random sampling technique to the class. Data were collected by a questionnaire test and methods test. Test research instruments used are the validity test, reliability test, and different power test. The prerequisite test used normally tests, linearity and independent test. Analysis of data using product-moment correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The result showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between learning motivation, use of learning resources and parent attention with mathematic learning outcomes, multiple correlation coefficient (R) 0,823 with a regression equation Y ̂=-33,384+0,427X_1+0,487X_2+0,288X_3, at the 5% significance level, obtained F_count at 19,716 and F_table at 2,95 means F_count≥F_table. The percentage relative contribution of learning motivation 42,71%, the relative contribution on use of learning 36,33%, and the relative contribution on parents attention 20,97% and then the effective contribution of learning motivation 28,99%, the effective contribution of the use of learning outcomes 24,65%, and the effective contribution of parents attention 14,23 %.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of comic learning media on social arithmetic material in schools. This study aims to develop comic learning media in HOTS oriented social arithmetic materials for junior high school / MTs students. This research is included in research and development using the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were material experts, media experts, State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 4 Sewon, and Muhammadiyah Junior High School (SMP Muhammadiyah) Sewon in Bantul regency. Data collection techniques used in this study are interviews used before product development. The research instrument used was interview guidelines to assess comic learning media that had been developed. Data analysis techniques use quantitative data analysis, converted into qualitative data with a Likert scale. Based on the results of the feasibility study of the product which was developed based on the calculation of the average score of the media expert obtained by 4.32 with very good criteria, from the expert material obtained at 4.29 with very good criteria, from the response of students in the small class test obtained at 4.38 with very good criteria, and from the students' responses to the trial of large class products obtained by 4.01 with good criteria. Based on these assessments, the mathematical comic learning media developed in social arithmetic is appropriate for the learning process.

Abstract

The learning process that still tends to teacher-centered makes the students less active in the learning process. The use of teaching materials still less facilitates students in the process of learning mathematics. This research aims to develop and test the feasibility of the Student Work Sheet with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach to the subject matter of linear program for students of SMK class X. The research of Student Work Sheet development with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach to the subject matter of linear program for students of SMK class X follow the steps of Research and Development (R & D) covering: (1) potential and problem, (2) data collection, 3) product design, (4) product validation, (5) design revision, (6) product trial, (7) product revision, (8) trial use, (9) revision of the final product. Research subjects are material experts, media experts, and students of class X SMK. Data analysis using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. Product assessment results by a material expert, media expert, and student responses are included in the excellent category. The results showed that the Student Work Sheet with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach to the subject matter of linear program for students of SMK class X is feasible to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Students’ motivation in Mathematics that is considered low and students’ anxiety level are expected to influence the students’ learning outcome. This research aims to discover whether there are effects or not towards the Mathematics’ learning outcome between the high-motivated students in studying or the low ones and high anxiety level or low towards the students of the 8th grade of the whole junior high schools in Kalasan sub-district, Sleman, Academic Year 2014/2015. The population in this research involves all students of the 8th grade in Kalasan sub-district, Sleman, Academic Year 2014/2015 consisting of 20 classes whose students are 637. Samples in all schools were taken by using the Random Sampling technique towards classes in every school. The result is 3 classes, SMPN 1 Kalasan 8th C grade, SMPN 2 Kalasan 8th D grade, and SMPN 4 Kalasan 8th B grade as the experiment class whose students are 97. The collecting method used was a questionnaire for motivation and students’ anxiety level, and also the students’ learning outcome test method in Mathematics. The data analysis used two-way variance 2 x 2 with different cells and post ANOVA. The result of this research shows (1) The existence of study motivation’s significant effect towards the Mathematics’ learning outcome of students of SMPN 8th grade for the whole Kalasan sub-district, Sleman, Academic Year 2014/2015 of Even Semester obtained tcount > ttable = 9,48967 > 1,661 at significance level of 5%. (2) The existence of significant influence of students’ anxiety level towards the Mathematics’ learning outcome of the students in SMPN 8th grade in all Kalasan sub-district, Sleman, Academic Year 2015/2015, Even Semester obtained tcount > ttable is -10,25663 < 1, 661 at significance level of 5%. (3) The absence of mutual influence between learning motivation and students’ anxiety level on the Math’s learning outcome of the students in SMPN 8th grade in all Kalasan sub-district, Sleman, Academic Year 2015/2015, Even Semester obtained fcount < ftable is 0,91 < 3,956 at significance of level 5%.

Abstract

Poor student learning outcomes are associated with many factors. The relationship between interest to learn and learning habits students is possibly related to learning outcomes. This research aims to determine the presence or absence of a positive and significant relationship between interest to learn and learning habits student to Mathematics Learning Outcomes in Students Class VIII of State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 13 Yogyakarta in Odd Semester in Academic Year of 2017/2018. The population in this research was the students of VIII of SMP Negeri 13 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2017/2018, consisted of class VIII A, VIII B, VIII C, VIII D, totaling 130 students. Samples were taken from VIII D as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The writer uses the questionnaire method to collect the data of interest to learn and learn habits and test methods to get the resulting math results. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and independence. Abstract

Mathematics is still considered difficult by most students, so the impact on learning outcomes. The lack of good peers and learning environment that is less than adequate and conducive and the lack of seriousness and independent learning is some of the factors that may affect student learning. Therefore, this study was conducted in order to determine whether or not a positive and significant between peer relationships, student learning environment at home and independence of learning with learning outcomes in SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in Academic Year 2016/2017. The population of this research was all students of class VIII of even semester in SMP Muhammadiyah 9 Yogyakarta in Academic Year 2016/2017 which consists of 5 classes. As a sample class was class VIII B by random sampling technique to class. The questionnaire technique used collection data peer relationships, student learning environment at home and learning independence, as well as the test technique used collection data mathematics learning result of student. Test instruments used validity, distinguishing features and reliability. Test data analysis requirements using the test for normality, independent, and the test for linearity. Data analysis for hypothesis testing using correlation analysis and linear regression analysis. The research result showed that there was a significant positive correlation between peer relationships, student learning environment at home and independence of learning with learning outcomes with  and  so that . Abstract

The low of students' mathematics learning outcome is associated with many factors. Not all peers support students' achievement. The lack of time management and the lack of studying interest are several factors that were assumed to have a relation with mathematics learning. Therefore, this study aimed to determine whether there is a positive and significant relationship between peers interaction, time management, and interest learning with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII of State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 2 Banjarnegara in even semester in the academic year of 2016/2017. This research population was the students of VIII grade in SMP Negeri 2 Banjarnegara in 2016/2017, consisting of class VIIIB, VIIIE, VIIIF, VIIIG, VIIIH, totaling 165 students. Samples were taken from VIIIF as the research sample class and with the random sampling technique. The writer uses the questionnaire method to collect peer interaction, time management, and interest learning and test methods to get the resulting math results. The research instrument: validity test, different power test, and reliability test. Test requirement analysis includes a test of normality, a test of linearity, and independence. The writer uses product-moment correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the data. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between peer interaction, time management, and interest learning with mathematics learning outcomes in students class VIII in even Semester of SMP Negeri 2 Banjarnegara in the academic year of 2016/2017. Abstract

The low student learning outcomes are influenced by several factors, one of which the model used in the less varied learning of mathematics is still centered on the teacher. This study aims to determine more effective learning between mathematics learning using cooperative learning model type two to stay two strays with learning mathematics with a cooperative learning model type index card match to students' mathematics learning outcomes. This study population was all seven grade students of State Islamic Junior High School 7 Sleman (MTs Negeri 7 Sleman) regency Academic Year 2016/2017, which consists of 5 classes. The sampling technique using a random sampling technique and selected class VII A as an experimental I class and class VII C as an experimental II class. The data was collected using the test method—tests using instrument validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques used for the analysis include the prerequisite test, normality test, and homogeneity test. Analysis of data used hypothesis testing. Based on mathematics learning result obtained that 1)  and  which means . This means that there is a difference in learning outcomes between learning mathematics using cooperative learning model type two stay two strays with mathematics learning using a cooperative learning model type index card match of seven grade students of MTs Negeri 7 Sleman in even semester regency Academic Year 2016/2017. 2)  and  which means . Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of Student Activity Sheet (SAS) in the study of mathematics for students of class VIII SMP/MTs. The purpose of this research is to develop a SAS based problem, determine eligibility based on expert assessment and teacher assessment, as well as students' response to SAS. The study was conducted through the model of Research and Development(R &D). Steps that passed include two aspects, namely the development of the SAS and its feasibility. SAS development includes: (a) collecting information (b) the designing of SAS(c) Validating SAS to the expert review by the mathematics teacher of MTs N 2 Yogyakarta and SMP Muhammadiyah 6 Yogyakarta (d) revising the product. The feasibility of SAS include (a) trial test (b) data analysis(c) the feasibility of SAS. The subjects were students. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis to describe the inputs from expert assessment of products, SAS assessment by expert assessment of products, teachers and students' responses to the SAS based problem. The results of research and development has developed the Student Activity Sheet (SAS) on the circle in class VIII SMP/MTs based problem. The results of expert assessment and teacher assessment on the products obtained an average score of 75with good category, so the SAS can be declared feasible. The students' response to the SAS is included in very good categories indicated by an average score of 87, 7093335. These results indicate that the Student Activity Sheet (SAS) in the circle in class VIII of SMP/MTs based problems can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

A learning model that focuses on the teacher resulted in the students more passive in following the teaching and learning activities, especially math lessons, so that teaching and learning activities are still less satisfactory. This affects students' mathematics learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on grade VIII students' mathematics learning outcomes. This study's population is the students of class VIII Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah Pleret 2016 school year consisting of 4 classes. The sampling technique used the purposive sampling technique and obtained class VIII D as experiment class and class VIII C as control class. The method of collecting data is done by the test method. The data analysis technique uses a prerequisite analysis test, including normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis tests. The research results obtained that (1) there are differences in learning outcomes between learning mathematics using Problem Based Learning model learning with Direct Learning model. This is based on the two-party hypothesis test obtained and   with 5% significant level and degrees of freedom, respectively , and , which means , so H0 is accepted, and H1 is rejected. (2) Learning mathematics using Problem Based Learning model is more influential than the Direct Learning model toward the mathematics learning result of the VIII student of SMP Muhammadiyah Pleret of the academic year 2016/2017. This is indicated by a one-sided hypothesis test obtained  and  with a significant level of 5% and degrees of freedom, respectively  and  which means  so H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected
