AIFI berdiri sejak Februari 2010 di Jakarta didirikan oleh tokoh-tokoh Ilmuan Forensik Indonesia yang berkumpul di Jakarta dalam dua periode pertemuan. Semua ilmuan forensik yang hadir pada saat itu dinyatakan sebagai pendiri asosiasi ini. Pendiri sepakat dengan mufakat memilih Prof. Dr. Oetarjo Diran sebagai Ketua Asosiasi dengan SekJen. AIFI adalah organisasi nirlaba dengan asas organisasi meliputi: kebenaran, keadilan, keselamatan, profesionalitas, dan akuntabilitas. Tujuan dibentuknya AIFI adalah: a) membentuk dan menyelenggarakan forum komunikasi antar ilmuwan forensic, b) meningkatkan komunikasi, menyelenggarakan pelatihan, dan tukar menukar informasi, metodologi, memberdayakan keahlian di antara ilmuwan dan praktisi forensik di Indonesia dengan standard profesi dan etika, c) meningkatkan mutu pelayanan dan keahlian, metode manajemen, dan pemanfaatan efektif dalam ilmu forensic, dan d) menilai dan mengusulkan segala bentuk kebijakan peraturan yang terkait penerapan ilmu forensik. JURUSAN FARMASI UDAYANA berdiri sejak 25 Mei 2005. Jurusan Farmasi Udayana beralamatkan di Kampus Bukit Jimbaran, telp/Fax 0361-703837. Jurusan Farmasi dalam menjalankan visi-misinya mengembangkan kurikulum dengan kompetensi: Farmasi Klinik / Farmasi Rumah Sakit, Kimia Farmasi/Farmasi Forensik, dan Farmasi Bahan Alam yang mengedepankan kearifan lokal “USADA BALI” sebagai kajian utama. Secara umum ilmu forensik dapat diartikan sebagai aplikasi atau pemanfaatan ilmu pengetahuan tertentu untuk kepentingan penegakan hukum dan peradilan. Farmasi adalah ilmu tentang obat. Pekerjaan kefarmasian adalah pembuatan termasuk pengendalian mutu sediaan farmasi, pengamanan, pengadaan, penyimpanan dan pendistribusi atau penyaluranan obat, pengelolaan obat, pelayanan obat atas resep dokter, pelayanan informasi obat, serta pengembangan obat, bahan obat dan obat tradisional. Farmasi Forensik dapat dipahami sebagai penerapan ilmu farmasi untuk kepentingan penegakan hukum atau peradilan. Farmasi forensik sangat erat hubungannya dengan dengan proses peradilan, proses regulasi, atau pada lembaga penegakan hukum (criminal justice system). Dalam pengembangan bidang farmasi forensik, Jurusan Farmasi Udayana berusaha untuk meningkatkan kerjasama dengan semua stakeholders terkait, seperti AIFI, BPOM-RI, BNN, POLRI, dan DirJen Bina Pelayanan Penunjang Medik-KemenKes RI.

Abstract

Rumah Sakit Akademik Universitas Gadjah Mada (RSA UGM) is a teaching hospital that recently began operating in March 2012. Currently the average number of patients per day who come in the clinic approximately 30 patients. As for the number of cases in the Emergency Room (ER) about 10 cases per day. For clinical visum requests are increased since the beginning of the year, especially for the case of traffic accidents and abuse. In the manufacture of clinical visum, RSA UGM still working with Sardjito hospital because Rumah Sakit Akademik have limited human resources. After observed in RSA UGM, clinical visum is still made in the absence of a standard operating procedure, both in terms of content and structure, as they found the involvement of leaders, although leaders are not involved in the process of handling victims. This happens because RSA has not been functioning as a teaching hospital, with no resident in the daily execution of which by the resident is expected to assist in the management of patients. While the number of cases that require a clinical visum, means indirectly have shown variations in the case of the hospital. Then RSA UGM should have started optimizing its function as an academic hospital with start receiving co ass and resident. In the manufacture of clinical visum at UGM academic hospital, is still required supervision and assistance, especially from those who are more competent and experienced, in this case dr. Sardjito hospital. Expected some time, academic hospitals can be self-sufficient in the manufacture of clinical visum.

Abstract

The seized cocaine samples by Narcotic Police in Denpasar have been carried out profiling. Cocaine’s were eluted on Al-TLC Si GF254 and spot scanned on Spectrophotodensitometric-method. Eight seized cocaine’s were presented relative peaks pattern, with chromatograms similarity of 99.81%.  Based on the similarity, all of cocaine’s, could be classified into one group or same origin.

Abstract

Identification include fingerprint, property, medical, dental, serologic and exclusion methods. In the development, identification methods led to molecular forensics, a new field of science evolving since the 1980s, known as DNA fingerprinting. Blood spots/bloods, semen spots, vaginal swabs, buccal swabs and bones are specimens widely used in DNA assay for identification. In addition to these specimens, the last objects often used by the perpetrators/victims can be used, such as hearing aids (headsets/earphones). In its use, earphones are attached to the outer ear skin; thus, the earwax is suspected to adhere to the device. To date, in Indonesia personal identification is performed through swabs of earphones/headsets using the DNA profiling method. In particular, mitochondrial DNA has not been widely used for identification. The present study was of laboratory experimental. Earphones which have been used for 3 days were placed in room temperature for 1, 7, 14 and 20 days. Results showed that the environmental factor of exposure duration had an effect of a significant decrease in the levels of DNA from day 1 to day 20. Only 126-bp mtDNA (HVS II) was detected on the samples of day 1 and continued with sequencing. Mitochondrial DNA has better durability and relatively higher number of copies than those of nuclear DNA. This leads to greater possibility of success in amplification, given the higher number of mitochondrial DNA copies and the fact that mitochondrial DNA is a single locus that allows recombination.

Abstract

It is often difficult for a doctor to write off the death certificate because when death occurs due to woundcomplications that occur due to the killing of more than one year prior to death.In an old law in England known the term "year and a day rule", which says that death is believed to occur morethan one year and one day, there is no connection with the murder, now it's been much written off in manycountries, including the United States and New Zealand.The basis for this rule is the elimination of intervention efficacy in prolonging the life of a person's doctor andtech support, so that the interval between the act of murder and death that ensues is also elongated. In addition,advances in forensic medicine to assist the court in determining a cause of death although the action is carriedout long enough in the past.The series of events that occur in delayed death due to homicide (delayed Homicide) are rarely reported. Generaldeath in murder cases pending include: infected decubitus ulcers, bronchopneumonia, and urosepsis due toparalysis due to spinal cord trauma, seizures follow-up post-blunt head injury, and small bowel adhesion / herniadue to stab wounds. In making a determination of death is consistent and accurate information on the pendingmurder case, it is important to rely on the definition of a direct cause of death pending kematian.Penyelidikancase of murder to be a challenge due to: failure to report the death to the authorities, the lack of adequatedocumentation of trauma that occurred, and jurisdictional differences between the trauma and death.

Abstract

Chlorexidine is a mouthwash that is chosen by many dentists as an antiseptic and antibacterial. CHX has bactericidal properties in gram-positive and negative bacteria and fungi. Chlorhexidine causes damage to the permeability of bacterial cell membranes so that cytoplasmic fluid in bacterial cells and other cell components with lower molecular weight from inside the cell penetrates out through the cell membrane, causing the bacteria to die. Much research has been done to study the biocompatibility of composite resins, especially cytotoxicity and genotoxicity testing. Genotoxicity tests that are often done are comet tests to see DNA damage and micronuclei tests to see genome damage. CHX increases Fe-dependent lipid peroxidation by splitting oxygen bonds with iron ions in Fentonlike reactions, producing alkoxyl radicals. The ROS reaction of unsaturated lipids on cell membranes and plasma lipoproteins results in the formation of lipid peroxide (malondialdehyde) which can chemically alter proteins and bases nucleic acid. Abstract

Forensic entomology was utilized to determine the postmortem interval of eleven forensic cases sentfor autopsy examination at Ipoh Hospital and Hospital University Kebangsaan Malaysia between of Januaryto December 2003. Sixth species of sarcosaprophagous flies: Chrysomya megacephala, Chrysomya rufifacies,Chrysomya villeneuvi, Chrysomya nigripes, Synthesiomya nudiseta and a sarcophagid fly were found amongthe maggot specimens received by the Forensic Entomology Laboratory, Department of Parasitology &Medical Entomology, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Those maggots were collected from dead bodiesfound among others in wrapped in gunny bags, around water tank, hanged with black nylon clothes, insidehome, beside road, drowning in lombong and an estate. Ch. megacephala was the main species found in eightcases examined. Postmortem Interval (PMI) estimated from the cases varied from one day to 10 days.

Abstract

Some newspapers (mostly forensics) report cases of abuse, accidental overdoses or criminal purposes with propofol. Propofol is a drug that can reduce anxiety and stress, leading to relaxation and sleep or loss of consciousness. Suicides and intentional and unintentional killings related to the use of propofol have been widely reported. A number of analytical methods have been used to detect and measure the concentration of propofol in biological specimens. Forensic toxicology analysis of death cases related to the use of propofol is carried out from the process of preparing samples (biological specimens), conducting screening tests, ascertainment tests, determination, and interpretation of data.

Abstract

Screening and determination test of morphine using TLC-Spectrophotodensitometry method have been studied. Screening test based on the hRfc – value and the correlation value between detected spectrum and reference. The analysis results were improved by using the shift of spectrum reaction. The maximal result of screening test was obtained when determinate the hRfc-value with error window of three and the spectrum correlation above 0.90. The reaction of spectrum shift showed that morphine spectrum was not significantly changed after plates sprayed with HCL 10% and KOH 0.1 M so that could be used to increasing the analysis result of substance identity determination. Validation of method showed precision of method was 1.69%, the limit of detection 93.1 ng/spot and the limit of quantitation was 310,3 ng, percentage recovery of morphine from plasma was 106.34 ng ±10.79 (10.1%). TLC Spectrophotodensitometry could be used as simple and cheap method for screening and determination test of the morphine.

Abstract

Identifikasi forensik dengan pemeriksaan DNA yang dapat digunakan untuk menentukan asal usul anak; kasus paternitas; hubungan kekeluargaan; maupun identifikasi korban tak dikenal, semakin hari semakin diakui keberadaannya dalam menunjang penegakan hukum di tanah air. Hanya saja dalam perkembangannya pemeriksaan dengan menggunakan bahan DNA ini bukannya tanpa persoalan. Salah satu persoalan yang seringkali menjadi masalah yang serius bagi ahli DNA forensik maupun ahli DNA lainnya adalah kondisi DNA yang tergedradasi atau yang dikenal dengan istilah degraded DNA. Salah satu alternatif yang ditempuh dalam degradasi DNA saat ini oleh ahli DNA forensik adalah melalui penggunaan mini primer set, yakni melalui metode pengurangan ukuran STR assays, pada pemeriksaan lokus DNA inti. Penelitian ini menggunakan mini primer CSF1PO, FGA & D21S11 pada bahan gigi molar dengan perlakuan paparan 5000C dalam waktu 20 dan 30 menit serta suhu 7500C dalam waktu 20 dan 30 menit. Hasil yang didapatkan terjadi penurunan kadar DNA gigi yang bermankna (p<0.05) sebagai efek paparan suhu tinggi. Visualisasi hasil PCR didapatkan hanya lokus CSF1PO yang masih terdeteksi dengan mini primer pada paparan suhu 7500C selama 30 menit (paparan maksimal penelitian ini) sehingga melalui lokus tersebut sangat potensial dalam pemeriksaan identifikasi melalui analisis DNA terutama dalam kondisi terdegradasi efek paparan suhu tinggi, serta mempercepat proses identifikasi terutama pada kejadian bencana (mass disaster) maupun kasus-kasus kriminal lainnya.
