Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi akuifer air tanah daerah Pallantikang serta memetakan sebaran potensi air tanahnya.Metode yang digunakan adalah metode geolistrik tahanan jenis konfigurasi Schlumberger dan pengukuran muka air tanah sumur. Berdasarkan pembahasan yang telah dilakukan maka akuifer air tanah Desa Pallantikang diperkirakan berasal dari batuan sedimen laut dengan nilai tahanan jenis 0,0193 Ohm.m – 70,19 Ohm.m. Akuifer ini dapat dijumpai pada kedalaman 1 m hingga 99 m sehingga Desa Pallantikang memiliki potensi air tanah yang besar.

Abstract

Fabrikasi bahan penyerap gelombang elektromagnetik berbasis CuC telah dilakukan. Tembaga Karbon (CuC) diolah dengan metode kompaksi/pemadatan, karakterisasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan XRD, FTIR dan VNA. Penyerap gelombang elektromagnetik (reflection loss (RL)) diperoleh pada rentang -17,73 dB hingga -24,94 dB. Nilai RL dipengaruhi oleh konsentrasi karbon aktif (AC). Spectrum RL terbaik diperoleh pada frekuensi 4 GHz – 5 GHz.

Abstract

ABSTRACT−Investigation of saltwater intrusion in Nusawungu Coastal area of Cilacap Regency based on the 2D-resistivity data has been done in April – Juni 2018. The resistivity data acquisition has been carried out using Wenner's configuration on four locations covering of the NWT-01, NWT-02, NWT-03, and NWT-04 with a length as 200 meters. The obtained result is the 2D-resistivity profile of subsurface rocks for each trajectory with a depth of about 30 meters. The rock resistivity values which obtained for each trajectory consists of the NWT-01 is 2.30 – 103.00 Ωm; the NWT-02 is 3.65 – 54.30 Ωm; the NWT-03 is 0.96 – 43.20 Ωm; and the NWT-04 is 2.33 – 70.80 Ωm. Based on the interpretation results, the deep aquifer in each trajectory with a resistivity value of 0.96 - 6.81 Ωm are estimated to be intruded by saltwater, while the shallow aquifers have not been significantly intruded by saltwater. Based on the testing results of the electrical conductivity (DHL) of several water samples taken from some wells around the NWT-01 to NWT-04 trajectory, it is known that all of the water is freshwater. Some well water samples have a rather high electrical conductivity value, such as the well A on the NWT-01 with a value of 740.0 μSi/cm and the well C on the NWT-03 with a value of 894.67 μSi/cm. This is thought to be due to the relatively high salt mineral content in the aquifer rocks.

Abstract

The localization length and the Density Of State (DOS) of electron in a Poly(dA)-Poly(dT) DNA molecule at two temperatures have been calculated for several values of magnetic field. The calculation are carried out on a DNA molecule model that consists of adenine (A) and Thymine (T) nucleobases and sugar-phosphate backbone. The DNA molecule is modeled in tight binding Hamiltonian approachwith semi empirical Slater-Koster theory and Peierls phase factor for introducing the effect of temperature and magnetic field, respectively. In the model, electron is allowed to move between nucleobase sites, backbode sites, and between backbone site and nucleobase site. The localization length is obtained from the smallest Lyapunov exponent which is calculated using transfer matrix method along with Gram-Schmidtorthonormalization procedure. The DOS is calculated using Green’s function methodby taking into account the presence of metallic electrode at both ends of the DNA molecule. The localization length and the DOS change as a result of the change in electron wave phase due to magnetic field. The change is observed at both temperature used in the study, but the change at lower temperature is larger than the one at higher temperature. Thermally agitated vibrational twisting motion perturbs electron motion in the DNA molecule such that the influence of magnetic field on the localization length and the DOS of electron at higher temperature becomes smaller.

Abstract

Mortar geopolimer berbasis abu layang dengan penambahan metakaolin telah disintesis dan dikatakterisasi  sifat termalnya. Rasio SiO2/Al2O3 dalam penelitian ini dipertahankan dengan nilai 4. . Efek subtitusi abu layang dengan kaolin tatakan yang telah dikalsinasi pada suhu 750°C selama 3 jam memberikan informasi peningkatan nilai kuat tekan. Peningkatan nilai kuat tekan ini diyakini akibat berkurangnya kadar SiO2 yang tidak aktif dalam campuran bahan dasar, sehingga reaksi ikatan antara matrik dan partikel-artikel aluminosilikat semakin baik. Daya tahan terhadap suhu pada suhu 750°C selama 4 jam menunjukkan adanya penyusutan volume dan berkurangnya massa sampel, meskipun pengurangan massa sampel terjadi namun massa jenis semakin meningkat dan secara visual tidak terlihat adanya keretakan. Pengujian shock thermal juga menunjukkan bahwa mortar geopolimer yang disintesis mampu menahan adanya perubahan suhu secara mendadak. Oleh sebab itu mortar geopolimer dengan bahan abu layang/kaolin tatakan dapat digunakan sebagai material refraktori.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine location and distribution of groundwater in Bapangsari, Bagelen, Purworejo. This research used Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) method with Schlumberger configuration. Research data were taken by using resistivity meter IPMGEO. This research did on 2 locations with length of line is 180 m. The data were processed using software Microsoft Excel and IP2WIN. Based on result of the research. On the first location, groundwater is at 32,2 m depth with 3,3 m thick. On the first location, groundwater is at 34,6 m depth with 9,58 m thick. Groundwater on the first location is shallower than second location. However, on the first location have over burden. The over burden has big enough resistivity value (higher than 100 ohm m). This value has been identifying of a solid layer. The layer is andesitic breccia. While on second location, the over burden has small enough resistivity value (50 ohm m). This value has been identifying of a sedimentary layer. The layer is weathered breccia and gravel.

Abstract

The height of the barrier between the interacting nuclei is one of the interesting topics in nuclear reaction, especially in charged-particle nuclear reactions. Wong formula is one method that can be used to perform such study, especially about fusion cross section. Therefore, a study about fusion cross sections of some light nuclei with Wong formula becomes very interesting to be performed. In this study, the fusion cross sections of 12C+12C and 16O+16O reactions have been calculated by using Wong formula at 12<=E<=32 MeV of energies. The potential of the interacting nuclei was approached by using Woods-Saxon potential. The calculations performed numerically by using both finite different and Nelder-Mead methods. The obtained results of this study have achieved a good agreement with the experimental results and the calculation results of the other researchers. Those results were indicated that Wong formula has good capability in explaining the experimental results concerning fusion cross section of light nuclei.

Abstract

Penjumlahan dosis radiasi pada lapangan foton dan elektron menyebabkan terjadi kelebihan dosisi (hot spot) di sisi lapangan foton dan kekurangan dosis (cold spot) di sisi lapangan elektron. Untuk itu, penelitian mengenai pengaruh jarak (gap) lapangan foton dan elektron terhadap distribusi dosis radiasi telah dilakukan dengan melakukan pengukuran dan perhitungan dosis radiasi serap dengan analisis menggunakan Dose – Volume Histogram (DVH) pada tahap Treatment Planning System (TPS). Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu water solid phantom yang dipindai dengan detektor PTW (2D Array) menggunakan CT Simulator.  Hasil pemindaian kemudian dikirim ke komputer TPS untuk dibuatkan variasi lapangan foton dan elektron dengan jarak antar lapangan 0 – 5 mm pada kedalaman tertentu dengan SSD 95 cm, 97,5 cm, 100 cm, 102,5 cm, dan 105 cm sehingga didapatkan distribusi dosis yang dapat dilihat pada DVH. Hasil analisis distribusi dosis pada DVH menunjukkan distribusi dosis yang menunjukkan keseragaman dosis antar dosis maksimum dan dosis minimum berturut-turut 7,5% dan -6,4% yaitu pada SSD 95 cm dan 97,5 cm dengan jarak (gap) antara lapangan foton dan elektron 3 mm. Namun secara klinis, SSD yang direkomendasikan untuk digunakan pada treatment, yaitu SSD 97,5 cm dengan jarak (gap) antar lapangan 3 mm. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa jarak (gap) antara lapangan foton dan elektron mempengaruhi distribusi dosis berkas foton dan elektron.

Abstract

Pada penelitian sebelumnya, kami telah berhasil membuat biobaterai dari pasta elektrolit ketapang (Terminalia catappa L.). Namun demikian, peran glukosa dalam menghasilkan arus listrik dalam biobaterai masih menjadi suatu pertanyaan. Pada penelitian ini kami menyelidiki secara rinci akan kandungan glukosa dalam pasta elektrolit ketapang, dan melihat bagaimana hubungannya terhadap produksi arus listrik dalam biobaterai. Pengukuran kandungan glukosa dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Miller, dimana nilai absorbansi dari larutan pasta diukur menggunakan Spectrophotometer-UV.Hasilnya menunjukkan adanya hubungan linier antara kandungan glukosa terhadap arus listrik pada biobaterai dari pasta elektrolit ketapang. Pasta segar diketahui memiliki konsentrasi glukosa sebesar 23.9 mg / mldan dapat menghasilkan arus sebesar 1 mA, pada saat biobaterai dipasang hambatan sebesar 100 Ω.

Abstract

The area around of Jember University has potential as a trading area because the majority of its citizens are immigrants. This potential is utilized by street food vendors located around the University of Jember. Most street vendors dispose of waste i.e used cooking oil directly around trading locations. One methode to determine waste seepage in the soil is to use the geoelectric method with crosshole dipole-dipole configuration. This research is a laboratory scale research. The sample of soil and waste of used cooking oil were taken from the location of street vendors around Jember University. Based on the research results, the soil resistivity value before being given the waste is 2.78 Ωm to 7.52 Ωm. While the value of soil resistivity after given the waste of used cooking oil ranged from 0.01 Ωm to 5.15 Ωm. Observations from the first day to the seventh day indicate that the movement of waste used cooking oil occurs vertically due to gravity and in all directions due to capillarity.
