Abstract

Impaired lung function is a disease caused by various reasons, such as viruses,bacteria, dustan do ther particles. It is exposure by dust tea every day of lab or sortingresult in decrease of lung function. This study aims to determine the role of breathingexercise in improving forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) and vital capacity(VC). The research designs is experiment trueby the one grouppre-testandpost-testdesign, where taking sample from the population by random that ful fill the inclusionand exclusion criteria. There are 10 groups of people and getting treatment BreathingExercise. Frequency of exercise 3 times a week for 6 weeks. The subjects were all lab orssorting who had impaired lung that has been diagnosed by the measured procedurewith lung physiology measure ments were performed using aspirometer in the teafactory of PT. Candi Loka Jamus Ngawi. The significance analysis of Pairedt-test(paired) showed that giving breathing exercise increase the vital capasity (VC) andforced expiratory volume (FEV1) was significantly different (p <0.05). While differentteston VC and FEV1 after treatment with the Independentt-test (unpaired) show that thevalue of p =0.749. The results means that there isno an increase between the value offorced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) and Vital Capacity (VC) after treatment.Thus it can be concluded, the giving of breathing exercises is as better as to increase thevalue offorced expiratory volumein 1 second (FEV1) and Vital Capacity (VC).

Abstract

Nowadays , decreasing of physical activity of children were increasing therisk of falling and injury. The Provision of physical activity of children years willincrease the balancing ability and reduced risk of fall. Dinamic balance started atage 7-8 years. Gymnastics is a physical activity which helps to optimize the brainfunction, one of them is dynamis balance. This study aims to determine thephysical training of brain gyms were better to improve the dynamic balancingthan Senam Kesegaran Jasmani (SKJ) 2008 in children of age 7-8 years old.Thisstudy used true experimental method with pre-test and post design. Experimentwas conducted in SD Negeri 8 Simpang Teritip, SD Negeri 11 Simpang Teritip,SD Negeri 15 Simpang Teritip Bangka Barat. Group control was givenintervention SKJ 2008 consisted of 38 boys and 41 girls, while in the treatmentgroup was given brain gyms intervention consisted of 35 boys and 44 girls. Theexercises was conducted 3x per week for 6 weeks. Balance beam walking test wasused to measure the dynamic balancing. The results of using Wilcoxon test in thecontrol group gained an average of dynamic balancing before trained the SKJ2008 was 2.95 ± 0.354 and after trained the SKJ 2008 was 4.15 ± 0.949 with p =0.000 (p <0.05). Whereas in the treatment group the mean of dynamic balancebefore brain gym was 2.89 ± 0.358 and after brain gym was 4.97 ± 0.225 with p =0.000 (p <0.05). Different mean of dynamic balancing among group control andtreatment were tested using the Mann Whitney was obtained p value = 0.000 (p<0.05) with a mean value of dynamic balance after treatment in the treatmentgroup of brain gym was 4.97 ± 0.225 was heigest than the group of SKJ 2008 was4.15 ± 0.949. The conclusion of SKJ 2008 and brain gyms that can improve thedynamic balancing in children of age 7-8 years old, however brain gym was moreimprove the dynamic balance than SKJ 2008 in children of age 7-8 years old.

Abstract

The age of 4-6 years are the time for children to play so the best stimulationshould be implemented through games. They have not experienced the sensomotoricmaturation which affects concentration, posture, balance and daily behavior. It isnecessary to perform treatment as early as possible in the form of brain gym andkinesthetic exercises, which usually used both gross motoric skills and sensory. Thestudy aims to determine the effect of brain gym and kinesthetic exercises forproprioceptive in 4-6 years old children. The number of respondents of this study were48 children which were divided into 2 groups: group 1 with brain gym and group 2 withkinesthetic exercises. The treatment was routinely given 3 times a week for one month.The research method is a Quasi experimental research which was designed using preand post-test group design. Paired T test was the statistical test used for brain gym,Willcoxon test was used for kinesthetic exercises and Mann Whitney test was used fordifferent test influences. The results of the data analysis using paired T test shows thatthe p-value was 0.000 (p <0.05). This means that there is an influence of brain gym onproioseptive in 4-6 years old children at TPA Al Mustaqim. The data analysis test usingsig Wilcoxon rank test shows p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that there is aninfluence of kinesthetic exercises of proioseptive in 4-6 years old children at TPA AlMustaqim. The data analysis result using Mann Whitney Difference Test shows p valueof 0.787 (p> 0.05) which means that the difference in the effect of brain gym andkinesthetic exercises on propioceptive in 4-6 years old children at TPA Al Mustaqim. Itis suggested in 4-6 years old children are given braingym and kinesthetic exercises sothat propioceptive is increased and thus, the concentration, posture and balance of thechild is also improved.

Abstract

Low Back Pain is one of the most musculoskeletal problem. LBP can cause disability,material loss and biopsychosocial problem. The most effective management for LBP is stilldiscussing in the health practitioner and scientist between Aquatic Exercise or McKenzieExercise. The aim of this study is to prove the different between Aquatic Exercise withMcKenzie Exercise to reduce disability in Discogenic Low Back Pain patients. This studywas the true experimental control trial research, with randomized pre-test and post-testdesign. The study was conducted in Physiotherapy Clinic in Borromeus Hospital Bandungand Melinda Surgery Hospital Bandung. The samples were 19 divided into two groups.Group I with Aquatic Exercise was 9 people and Group II with McKenzie Exercise was 10people. The measuring instrument in this study was Oswestry Disability Index. Results of thehypothesis used paired t-test and independent t-test. The hypothesis test results showed thatboth of groups can reduce disability significantly with mean in Group I = 25,9248 ± 3,98214,p value = 0.001 (p < 0.05) and Group II = 16,912 ± 4,0873, p value = 0.001. And between 2groups there were significant difference with mean = 8,57193 ± 3,66789, p value = 0.032 (p< 0.05). The conclusions where both of Aquatic Exercise and McKenzie Exercise couldreduced disability significantly and Aquatic Exercise was better than McKenzie Exercise toreduce disability in Discogenic Low Back Pain patients. This study can be suggested that thisAquatic Exercise program to reduce disability in Discogenic Low Back Pain. The multicenter study should be held with longer time and much more subjects.Key

Abstract

The work attitude ofstampbatik workers in conductedtheir dailyworkin standingposition. Stands work attitudeina longtimewillmake theworkeralwaystryingto balancethe body thus causing the static load on the feet. Static muscle contraction in along timewill cause ashort age of muscle blood flow, which results in reduced energy exchangeand egress metabolic wastein the active muscles, thus causing fatigue and pain. Theprocessing volvesa lot of loading on static muscle is faster cause muscle complaints,and this affects of the ability and decrease in labor productivity result. The purposeforknowing whether combination of contract relax stretching and infrared are better todecrease calf muscle pain compared with pedal exercise under compression and infraredon the stamp batik workerin home industries Buaran Pekalongan. Types of experimentalresearch, with the randomized study design pre and post test control group design.Group-1 (n =14) subjectswho receivedpedal exercise under compressionandinfrared,whileGroup-2 (n=14) get contract relax stretching and infrared. Analysis ofthe datawiththePaired Sample t-Test design mean scoresin the calf muscle pain in group1beforetreatmentwas142,857 mmHg and after 6 times treatment be172,142 mmHg, p=0.000. While the scores of calf muscle pain in Group-2 before treatment was 142,857mmHg and after 6 times treatment be170,714 mmHg, p =0.000. DifferenttestgroupswithGroup1 and Group 2 with astatistical analysis of Independent Sample-tTest value of p=0,871 (p>0.05).The conclusions obtained were exercise programsofcontract relax stretchingand infrared with pedal exercise under compression and infrared together can decrease calf muscle pain on the stamp batik worker. There is nosignificant different between the turn combination of contract relax stretching andinfrared with pedal exercise under compression and infraredto decrease calf muscle painon the stamp batik worker.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the distribution practice training raise the agility indribbling ball viewed from motor educability skills.The study was conducted with pretestposttestgroup design in the second semester students Program Study of PJKR PGRI University-NTT, with a number of samples 28 people who were divided into two groups and each grouptotaled 14 people. Both groups were equally practical training distribution with high and lowmotor educability abilities, conducted for 8 weeks with a frequency of exercise 3 times per week.The results were analyzed descriptively to variants age, height, weight, body mass index and themotor educability in both groups whose data were taken before the determination andimplementation of training samples. Normality test is using the Shapiro-Wilk test andhomogeneity test with Leven's test. T-paired test is to know different of agility time cost fordribbling of group 1 (high motor educability) with the average before training is 15.217±0.496seconds, and the average after training is 10.719±0.470 seconds with difference = 4.497 and theincreasing of percentage is 29.52% (p<0.05). While at group 2 (low motor educability) loweducability motor group with a mean 15.746±0.662 seconds, and the average after training12.105±0.565 seconds with the different = 3.640 seconds and increasing of percentage 23.12%(p <0.05). Results of the different effect of changes in time cost dribble soccer agility was testedwith t-independent between groups before and after training on the significance limit of ? = 0.05.The average of time changing before training with p?0.05, it means the early condition is equaland after training has value p<0.05.These results indicated that the high motor educability groupand low educability motors are equally give effect to an agility increase (p <0.05). However, theincreasing of high motor educability is better than the low motor educability. Suggested furtherintensified at high motor educability skills in the training process, athlete recruitment andimplementation of motion activity, because it gives the increasing effect.

Abstract

Medial collateral ligament knee joint injury is one of movement disorders which causesimpaired mobility and function that inhibits daily activities. Pain and disability will beincreasing with the emergence of fatigue and atropism of muscles functioning as dynamicstabilizer. Pain commonly occurs on a condition of medial collateral ligament knee jointinjury type I, in acute and chronic phase. The purpose of this study to determine theeffectiveness of the application of Kinesiotaping and elastic Bandage on interventionstabilization exercises to decrease pain caused by injury to the medial collateral ligament ofthe knee joint.This study was experimental with randomized pre and post test group designwhich aimed to learn about causal phenomena by giving treatment to the study objects. Thestudy was carried out in Sport Health Clinic KONI Kota Langsa starting March to May 2015.The subjects of study were 20 patients who were classified into two groups, 10 subjects oftreatment group I given kinesiotaping application and 10 subjects of treatment group II givenelastic bandage application. The measuring tool of VAS (Visual Analogue Scale) was used tofind out any pain reduction. The results of study showed that group I and II indicating paindecrease with value of p = 0.008 (p<0.05) and p = 0.000 (p<0.005) respectively. Statisticalanalysis also showed a significant difference on both groups. Application of technique ongroup I was as effective as on group II to reduce pain due to medial collateral ligament kneejoint injury (p>0.05). From the above findings can be summarized that applications of bothkinesiotaping and elastic bandage on intervention of stabilization exercise are effective toreduce pain due to medial collateral ligament knee joint injury.
