Abstract

The aim of this research is to formulate development strategy of traditional market based on local wisdom to alleviate poverty. This study was taken in Bali Province. The sample determined by nonproportionate random sampling. The samples were 18 heads of traditional market in Bali. The data processed by SWOT analysis with Internal External Matrix (IE Matrix). The result shows that the opportunities consists of income percapita, inflation growth, traditional market revitalisation policy, stabilisation, social awareness, communityappreciation, communiy taste changes, and adoption of information technology, the threats were the existenceof modern market and population growth. The future strengths are product diversify, local productdifferentiation, product quality, merchandise layout, price flexibility, and strategy location. Whereas, theweaknesses are parking area availabilitry, transaction process, promotion, cooperation with tourism industry,market cleanliness, public facilitity availability, and consumer services. Based on the SWOT analysis, businessposition of traditional market are in cell-1 which is further become the basis for development strategy, i.e.?Growth and Maintenance Strategy?

Abstract

This study aims to find the effect of job involvement and organizational justice on three types of organizationalcommitment, which are affective, continuance and normative. This research was conducted in Pacto-Bali, using 70 employees as its respondents. Sampling technique used in this study was saturated sampling technique.Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis technique was multiple linear regression, which was processed using SPSS software.The findings indicate that job involvement has positiveinfluence on each types of organizational commitment, that was affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment. The same finding was found in the relationship between organizational justiceand organizational commitment, where the more justice the employees received the more committed the employees to the organization. To improve the organizational commitment of employees, Pacto-Bali shouldincrease employee motivation by inviting employees to involve in the decision making process, and also should improve the networking between the owners and employees in order to help organization to reach its goals.

Abstract

Kinerja keuangan organisasi pemerintah mempunyai peran penting dalam tata kehidupan bernegara karena kinerja keuangan yang menunjukkan kemakmuran masyarakat. Penelitian bertujuan menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh tata administrasi dan keefektifan sistem pengendalian intern (SPI) terhadap kinerja pelaksanaan anggaran belanja negara. Populasi penelitian adalah 169 satuan kerja pengelola keuangan yang menjadi mitra KPPN II. Kuesioner dikirim kepada 150 pengelola satuan kerja pengelola keuangan negara. Tingkat pengembalian kuesioner sebesar 46%. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan perangkat lunak WarpPLS versi 4.0. Seluruh indikator penelitian bersifat reflektif  dan telah memenuhi validitas konvergen, validitas diskriminan, dan reliabilitas. Hasil analisis menunjukkan lingkungan pengendalian, kegiatan pengendalian, informasi dan komunikasi, dan pemantauan pengendalian berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan. Namun, administrative governance dan penilaian risiko tidak terbukti berpengaruh pada kinerja keuangan.  Kata kunci: kinerja keuangan, tata kelola, dan SPI.   ABSTRACT The financial performance of government organizations has an important role in the life of the state because this perfomance shows public welfare.. This study aims to analyze and examine the influence of administrative governance and the effectiveness of the internal control system on spending of state budget. The population of this research consist of 169 spending units which is working partners of KPPN Semarang II. Questionnaires were sent to 150 officers of the state finance management unit. Questionnaire response rate was 46%. Hypothesis testing used WarpPLS software version 4.0. All indicators of the research are reflective and have met the convergence and discriminant validity, and composite reliability. The results show the control environment, control activities, information and communication, and monitoring control have significantly positive effect on financial performance. However, administrative governance and risk assessment have not effect on financial performance. Keywords: financial performance, good governance, and internal control.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of the bid-ask spread, market value risk of return and earnings per share (EPS) on the holding period of the stock index LQ45 during 2011-2013. This study used a non-participant observation method to view the report published on the Stock Exchange?s website (www.idx.co.id) and using the bid - ask price data dof Indonesian Capital Electronic Library (ICamel). This study used a sample of 25 companies drawn by the purposive sampling method. Thedata analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that  out of four independent variables considered in this study i.e. bid-ask spread, risk of return, EPS, and market value, only market value has significant effect  on holding period of the stock index LQ45 period 2011- 2013.

Abstract

Perilaku konsumsi masyarakat yang dipengaruhi oleh kesadarannya pada kerusakan lingkungan menjadi latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh kepribadian merek terhadap kepercayaan dan komitmen merek, yang kemudian mengakibatkan loyalitas merek salah satu produk kosmetik dan perawatan diri organik di Kota Denpasar. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode survei menggunakan instrumen kuesioner. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling berjumlah 150 responden, kemudian data dianalisis dengan SEM (Structural Equation Modelling). Hasil penelitian adalah kepribadian merek berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap komitmen dan kepercayaan merek. Begitu juga dengan komitmen merek dan kepercayaan merek, ditemukan berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap loyalitas merek. Implikasi teoritis penelitian ini adalah memperkaya konsep kepribadian merek yang ditemukan oleh Aaker (1997). Implikasi praktis bagi perusahaan produk ini adalah memperkuat dimensi kehandalan yang merepresentasikan kepribadian merek, indikator setia mengkonsumsi produk dalam waktu yang lama yang merepresentasikan komitmen merek, dan indikator konsistensi kualitas yang merepresentasikan kepercayaan merek dalam rangka meningkatkan loyalitas merek.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mencari nilai premi asuransi jiwa kredit menggunakan konsep aktuaria pada asuransi jiwa berjangka. Objek penelitian adalah premi pada lembaga keuangan mikro yaitu koperasi dan lembaga perkreditan rakyat (LPD). Premi pada konsep aktuaria memperhitungkan  mortalita berdasarkan usia dan jenis kelamin, dan tingkat bunga yang ditetapkan yaitu mengacu pada BI rate sebesar 6,5%. Hasil analisis perhitungan menunjukan, semakin tinggi usia debitur berdasarkan perhitungan aktuaria nilai premi akan semakin tinggi, begitupula dengan premi yang berlaku pada LPD Pecatu namun berbeda halnya dengan premi pada KPN PNB. Premi pada KPN PNB hanya berdasarkan jangka waktu pinjaman saja sehingga nilai premi akan sama untuk semua usia.  Hasil perhitungan aktuaria menunjukkan semakin tinggi usia, peluang kematian semakin meningkat. Golongan perempuan dianggap mempunyai risiko asuransi yang lebih baik daripada laki-laki.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find the relationship of employee on performance indicators to the needs of society?s demands for high-quality services. The use of performance towards work motivationand work performance. Populations of the study are 50 employees at housekeeping department at some small hotels and villa located in Sanur and Kuta. Data obtained from the questionnaire and analysismethodology is using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that employee attitude on performance indicator insignificant related to employee motivation and to work performance, work motivation is related negatively on work performance. The company should use timing of the work speed in process of performance appraisal, and the next researcher is advised to extend the number of samples to several categories of hotels.

Abstract

This study investigated the predictive relationship between proactive personality and entrepreneurial intention and the extent to which such a relationship was moderated by entrepreneurial education. Using sample 200 undergraduates students at ten universities in Semarang by quota sampling technique. The results showed that proactive personality was significantly and positively associated with entrepreneurial intention. Entrepreneurial education related significantly with entrepreneurial intention. It was observed that entrepreneurial education significantly moderated the relationship between proactive personality and entrepreneurial intention. The findings were consistent with the personality theory of entrepreneurship. The implications of this research can be used for those who strive in higher education, how they supposed to design the right pattern of entrepreneurship education to encourage more students improve their entrepreneurial intention.

Abstract

The aims of  this study is to investigate the effect of leadership, physical work environment, and compensation on employee performance. The sample size was 91 employees of UD Terus in Bali which was determined by saturated sampling technique. Method of data gathering used was questionnaire distribution with five Likert?s Scale. Technique of analysis implemented in this study was multiple linear regression. The findings show that partially, leadership, physical work environment, and compensation has positive impact on performance. Additionally, 80.8 percent of employees performnace variation determined by leadership, physical work environment, and compensation, whereas 19.2 percent determined by other variables not considered in this study

Abstract

This study is an overview of the various ideas related to concepts and techniques of management from the industrial revolution to the modern era. In this article the various theory or thought are classified into four areas. The classification is not based on the periodicity of the year, but more to the realm of thought being developed. The four areas are (1)scientific & administrative management theory, (2)behavioral management theory, (3)quantitative management theory and (4)modern  management theory. The field thought is presented by the emergence of the field earlier than other areas of thought, though the period or era of the movement of thought one area may also appear a work that is part of another movement of thought. The results of  this literature review shows that the development of management thought started from mechanical related t hinking and productivity in manufacturing, and then progressed to studies related to nature and human behavi orand proceed to the field of relationship between human and organization systems. This study also found a lack of attention from management historians that focuses on marketing or customer orientation.
