Abstract

The aims of this study are to determine how the effect of financial and non-financial compensation on employee commitment both partially and simultaneously. This research is a causality study with the quantitative data. Data is collected using a questionnaire which  tested for its feasibility by validity and reliability testing. The population in this study are UMKM employees in Palembang with a sample size of 100 respondents. Data is analyzed using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. This results of this study show that financial compensation has no effect on employee commitment while non-financial compensation has effect on employee commitment.https://doi.org/10.26905/jmdk.v7i1.2775

Abstract

This study intend to create adaptive solutions to the SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) in the outer circumference culinary Malang order to be sustainable. The reason is because so many problems faced by this business. Therefore, require a fast solution especially by maintaining customer loyalty. For that surely, need to look for a solution through empirical research. Further, the specific objectives of this study wanted to develop a new model to build customer loyalty and business sustainability through productive approach of customer relations, product accountability and governance-based Six Sigma (study of the development of SMEs in the area of ??culinary outer circumference of Malang). In this study, productive customer relationships, product accountability and governance-based Six Sigma as an exogenous variable, variable customer loyalty and business sustainability as an endogenous variable. First step, structural equation modeling analysis techniques used in the development and simultaneously test theoretical models. Second step, model tries out for selected small and medium industries. Based on the results of research conducted revealed that the productive customer relationships, product accountability and governance-based six sigma significant effect on customer loyalty and business sustainability. So that this result will be a new model in the culinary development of SMEs, particularly in the city of Malang and based on the trial results also reinforce these findings. It means the finding model of customer loyalty and competitiveness is really an adaptive model.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of lean manufacturing to the business competitiveness. The research population is all craftsmen shoes and sandals in Toyomerto, Malang. By simple random sampling technique, the researcher uses 105 repondents. Primary data were analyzed by structural equation modeling (SEM). Based on the analysis, it was revealed that lean manufacturing plays a significant role to the business competitiveness. It means that, in order to build the business competitiveness of craftsmen shoes and sandals in Toyomerto,  Malang Regency, they should begin to applicate the concept of lean manufacturing. That concept can make these small business entities more competitive and sustainable.

Abstract

This study intend to analyse the implementation of institutional image and competitiveness model through knowledge management and social capital. The try out of model supervised periodically for limited small and medium industries in Probolinggo (10 SME’s).  Based on the primary data collected during implementation and then analyzed by discriptive and parametrical statistic (compare-means) found that there are significancy differences between before and after model implementation. It means, the created model at this study can be categorized as adaptive model for SME’s in Probolinggo. Therefore, if we want to build corporate image and business competitiveness, this model strongly recommended to be applied. By this way, the small and medium industries will have good image and adequate business competitiveness at the market. Interestingly, the model at this study as standard model and support previous studies that suggest knowledge management and social capital play an important role to build corporate image dan business competitiveness.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine the effects of Brand Social Responsibility (BSR) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on the reputation and competitiveness of the organization. This methods research designed by using the explanatory research. Unit analysis in this research is students in  University of Merdeka Malang. The research instrument used questionnaires technique, collected from a sample of 150 students. Data analysis techniques used the SmartPLS and descriptive analysis. This results research showed that Brand Social Responsibility (BSR) does not have an effect on the reputation and competitiveness. The CSR has effect on reputation but not towards competitiveness. The reputation has effect on competitiveness. CSR influences against reputational mediated by competitiveness. Based on the research results, The University of Merdeka Malang should be continue to implement and enhance the BSR and the CSR program in a more planned and ongoing concern as a manifestation of Business and Economics Feculty in improving knowledge, expertise and skills of the nation's children.

Abstract

The tourism industry has the characteristic interdependence : (1) Hospitality Industry (Food and Baverage, and accommodation); (2) Travel (Retail and Wholeseller; The operator); (3) Visitor Services (Attraction; Event; and Tourism Agencies). Therefore, to build a strong tourism industry needed a strong organisational relationships. Power and dependence  is an important basic building cooperation between organizations. One of the cities in Indonesia that are prominent in tourism is Kota Batu. Kota Batu  is the  icon of tourism in East Java. Even in the year 2006-2007, the industry of tourism in Kota Batu had dropped shraply because of overflow of Lapindo mud. In 2012, the total tourists visiting the Kota Batu reached 1,603,441 visitors. In 2013 increased 1,881,446 and  2,089,022 tourists in 2014. That number rises quickly compared in 2007, when the condition of the Kota Batu dropped as the number of tourist visits  less than 1 million people. Now, in 2016, The government of Kota Batu target revenue of Rp 1 trillion, where 80% is derived from the tourism sector. Therefore, in the study will be analized how the  government power  in developing the tourism industry in Kota Batu. The technical analysis of this research uses a combination of analysis statistics and policy analysis. The  analysis unit  of this study is the tourism industry in Kota Batu. This research  population  are the stakeholders in the tourism industry :  tourism entrepreneur and community.  Based on the statistics analysis, the  aspect of power has significant influence towards the development of the tourism industry. This shows the importance of the government role in developing the tourism industry.

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of the various dimensions of quality on the company performance. The source of data research are 75  companies composed of 46 major companies and 29 medium companies. The data collected through  middle managers and top managers of major and medium  companies in Malang, East Java.  The results showed that the dimension of quality (customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and employee service quality) effect significantly to organizational performance at both the major   companies and medium companies . The service quality of employee has  a dominant effect to the performance of the company.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analysis the influence of the  rational understanding of Islamic financing and the religiosity of farmers on the attitude of farmers in choosing Islamic Banks (Bank Syariah). This data sources are muslim farmers in Rogojampi Banyuwangi. The number of samples  are 36 farmers. The result of this research shows that the attitudes of farmers in choosing Islamic Banks directly affected by the rational understanding of Islamic financing. Motive of business profit underlies the farmers to understand financing in Islamic Banks. Religiosity factors don’t directly affect the attitude of farmers in choosing Islamic Banks.

Abstract

This paper discusses the Islamic perspective of accounting, known as sharia accounting. The accounting sharia based on the Qur'an and Hadith, both on paradigms and practices. It is not only a social orientation but also the orientation of the responsibility. The accounting sharia will report the social impacts of an activity and responsibility of humanistic, emancipatory, transcendental and theological. In Islamic terminology, accounting sharia is zakat and amanah oriented.

Abstract

Taxation policy reforms has been done by the government with the issuance of Law No. 11 year 2016 about Tax Amnesty. The background of the issuance of this law : a) there is still treasure the community both in the country and foreign who have not yet fully reported in the Annual Tax Income, b) to increase state revenues and economic growth as well as awareness and compliance community in the implementation of tax obligations . Although the government wants tax amnesty  to secure tax revenue, but in general they wants it for the repatriation of capital. The goal is to increase the liquidity is getting tighter, so eventually bank deposits can be cheaper, bank lending rates fell and investment will  increase. In addition, the quality of economic growth will increase by decreasing of unemployment, inequality, and poverty. To obtain a Tax Amnesty, the tax payer must disclose truthfully how the property owned which have not paid or partially paid taxes in the Letter of Statement and pay the ransom that provisions stipulated in the Act, and not subject to administrative sanctions taxation and criminal sanctions in the area of taxation. The ransom money to be paid in full to the state treasury through the Bank Perception (Bank elected to hold funds Tax Amnesty). Institution Tax Amnesty container fund is 19 Banks, 19 securities firms, and 18 of the Investment Manager. Tax payers who intend to bring  funds owned to Indonesian territory, at least to invest of 3 years commencing from the funds transferred by the tax payer to the Special Account through the Bank Perception. Investment instruments include in the form of government securities of the Republic of Indonesia, the bonds of State BUMN, bond financing institution owned by the government, financial investments in the Bank's perception, bonds private companies whose trade is supervised by the Financial Services Authority, infrastructure investment through government cooperation with corporate, investment real sector based on the priorities set by the Government; and/or other forms of investment constituted under the provisions of the legislation.
