Abstract

The  voucher  program   entitled  "Manufacturing    Ginger  Squeezer  Machine  for Small  Powder   Ginger-Coffee    Industries"   aims  to  increase   productivity   of  the  UD. ROSE  KURNIA   especially   in  squeezing  basic  material  of ginger  as a substance  for Powder  Ginger-Coffee   and  Coconut   Sugar  Ginger  being  produced.   It also  wants  to know the suitable  size and productivity  of such ginger squeezer  machine.,         The   steps   of  this   manufacturing    ginger   squeezer    machine    are   planning, machine  manufacturing,   and training  for industry  partner  workers.  The  planning  step includes:  (1) designing  machine  plan  draft,  (2) calculating   the needed  materials,  and (3)  calculating   the  implementation    cost.  The  machine-manufacturing     step  includes: (1)  material   cutting  to  fit  the  work  draft,  (2)  welding,   (3)  assembling,   (4)  electric installation.   (5) machine  performance   test,  and (6) painting.  The training  for industry partner  workers   consists   of:  (1)  theory   and  speech  delivery,   (2)  demonstration    of machine using, and (3) machine  using practice  by the industry  partner  workers.The result  of the  voucher  program  is realization  of a squeezer  ginger  machine and skill  achievement   by the  industry  partner  workers  in the  machine  operation.  The squeezer  ginger  machine   was  made  of right-angled   iron  frame  sizing  50x50x5  mm, combined   with  plywood   of  3 mm  and  12 mm  thick.  The  machine   size  is  120 em length,  60 em width,  and  190 em height,  moved  by a gasoline  motor  power  HONDA of 4 HP  and rotation  speed  of  1400 RP;-'1, The  crushing  system  runs  by 2 cylindrical tubes   with   20   em   diameter    rotating    in   the   opposite    direction.    The   machine performance   and productivity   for  squeezing   ginger  has  speed  of  4 to  5 times  faster compared  with manual  squeezing  system having  been done up   till now.Key words:  ginger   squeezer  machine,  and small  powder   ginger-coffee   industry.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe echo sounding measurement is a method that can be used to know thechange of dam volume directly on the field. This research aims to: (1) know therest of the economic age of the Panglima Besar Jendral Sudirman (PBJS) Dambased on measurement and calculation the echo sounding data, and (2)give more detail view of the changes of the PBJS Dam condition viewed fromsedimentation problem.The research activities were conducted in the PBJS Dam located onKabupaten Banjarnegara, Jawa Tengah. The research utilized secondary datacollected using documentation technique, consists of: (1) sediment volume/year,(2) dam effective volume, (3) dam volume, and total sediment volume year/year. The data were the best mathematic curve interpretationsupported by the Microsoft Excel software. The mathematic curve is indicatedby the variance value coefficient (R) value fromthe various existing trend curve alternatives.The research results show that based on various mathematic curves beingused, since 1999 the rest of operation age of the PBJS Dam lies between 17.37to 20.71 years. This conclusion is a simple prediction without considering thefuture erosion control changes. The rest of the dam age assumps thatthe natural condition especially the sedimentation rate occuring in the dam doesnot change significantly compared to what happened on the previous years andit is not affected by the existing sand mining on the upstream of the dam.Keywords: dam age, echo sounding

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the normative study of Article 138 Paragraph (2) of theLaw on Criminal Procedure Case Files Return To Investigators from the Public Prosecutor.The results of this research can be used as an input for law enforcement, especially the Policeand Attorney General, as well as the general public to find out the problems in preprosecution.The method of approach used in this study is normative or doctrinal legal research, theresearch literature that use secondary data. The technique used by the research literature(library research), this study formulated seeking materials or data for the purposes of thiswriting through literature by reading, interpreting or transfer books or literature, in the form oflegislation.Based on the results of this research is that the process of prapenuntutan submission ofthe case file to the prosecutor’s investigator , incomplete case file of the investigation toprosecutors will have an impact in the process prapenuntutan by prosecutors. Furthermore, todetermine how much grace time required to surrender or refund back on a reciprocal basis toinvestigators from the prosecutor to file a criminal case under Article 138 paragraph (2) wherewithin fourteen days from the date of receipt of the file investigator should have completed theinvestigation results as directed public prosecutor. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui telaah normatif Pasal 138 Ayat (2) KitabUndang-Undang Hukum Acara Pidana tentang Pengembalian Berkas Perkara dari PenuntutUmum Kepada Penyidik. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai bahanmasukan kepada penegak hukum khususnya Kepolisian dan Kejaksaan, serta kepadamasyarakat umumnya untuk mengetahui masalah-masalah pada prapenuntutan.Metode pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah yuridis normatif ataupenelitian hukum doktrinal, yaitu penelitian kepustakaan yaitu mempergunakan data sekunder.Teknik yang dipergunakan melalui penelitian kepustakaan (library research), penelitian inidirumuskan mencari bahan-bahan atau data untuk keperluan penulisan ini melalui kepustakaandengan cara membaca, menafsirkan atau mentransfer buku-buku atau literatur, berupa undang-undang.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa terjadinya proses prapenuntutandari penyerahan berkas perkara dari penyidik kepada penuntut umum, kurang lengkapnyaberkas perkara dari penyidik kepada penuntut hukum akan membawa dampak dalam prosesprapenuntutan oleh jaksa. Selanjutnya untuk mengetahui berapa tenggang waktu yangdiperlukan terhadap penyerahan atau pengembalian kembali secara timbal batik dari penuntutumum kepada penyidik terhadap berkas perkara pidana dalam pasal 138 ayat (2) dimana dalamwaktu empat belas hari sejak tanggal penerimaan berkas penyidik harus sudah melengkapi hasilpenyidikannya sesuai petunjuk penuntut umum.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study examines the design of normal concrete mixtures according to SNI 03-2834-2000 and SNI 7656: 2012. This research is done because SNI 7656: 2012 is an adoption of ACI 211 which requires a mixture considering its economic side. This research was conducted by experimental method in laboratory. In this research, the test object used is concrete cylinder with dimension 150 x 300 mm. The test specimen consists of 2 variants, namely: normal concrete SNI 2000 (BN-00), and normal concrete SNI 2012 (BN-12). Each variant consists of 3 strong compressive specimen plans: 25 MPa, 30MPa, and 35 MPa. Based on the result of the test, it is found that the strength of concrete with the design of SNI 2000 for the compressive strength of 25 MPa (BN-00-25), 30 MPa (BN-00-30) and 35 MPa (BN-00-35) 27.24 MPa, 38.99 MPa, and 44.85 MPa. While the concrete mean press with the design of SNI 2012 for the compressive strength of 25 MPa (BN-12-25), 30 MPa (BN-12-30), and 35 MPa (BN-12-35) plans were 31,43 MPa , 36.54 MPa, and 39.76 MPa. Keywords: mixed design, SNI 03-2834-2000, SNI 7656: 2012, compressive strength   ABSTRAKMakalah ini mengkaji tentang rancang campur beton normal menurut SNI 03-2834-2000 dan SNI 7656:2012. Dilakukannya kajian ini karena SNI 7656:2012 merupakan adopsi dari ACI 211 yang mensyaratkan suatu campuran dengan mempertimbangkan sisi ekonomisnya. Kajian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimen di laboratorium. Pada kajian ini benda uji yang digunakan adalah silinder beton dengan dimensi 150 x 300 mm. Benda uji terdiri dari 2 varian yaitu : beton normal SNI 2000 (BN-00), dan beton normal SNI 2012 (BN-12). Tiap varian terdiri dari 3 spesimen kuat tekan rencana yaitu: 25 MPa, 30MPa, dan 35 MPa. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian didapatkan kuat tekan rerata beton dengan rancangan SNI 2000 untuk kuat tekan rencana 25 MPa (BN-00-25), 30 MPa (BN-00-30), dan 35 MPa (BN-00-35) berturut-turut sebesar 27,24 MPa, 38,99 MPa, dan 44,85 MPa. Sedangkan tekan rerata beton dengan rancangan SNI 2012 untuk kuat tekan rencana 25 MPa (BN-12-25), 30 MPa (BN-12-30), dan 35 MPa (BN-12-35) berturut-turut sebesar 31,43 MPa, 36,54 MPa, dan 39,76 MPa.   Kata kunci: rancang campur, SNI 03-2834-2000, SNI 7656:2012, kuat tekan

Abstract

ewasa ini, bidang konstruksi sipil cukup pesat perkernbangannya.Dalarn kaitan ini, konstruksi beton rnernegang peranan pentingdalarn rnewujudkan sarana dan prasarana kebutuhan rnanusia, baik ituberupa rurnah pribadi rnaupun proyek-proyek dalarn skala yang besar.Berbagai kelebihan konstruksi beton bila dibandigkan dengan bahanbangunan lain (kayu atau baja), yaitu (1) tahan terhadp kelapuikan, (2) Atahan korosi, (3) tahan bakar dan pengaruh air, (4) rnudah dibentuk, dan(5) tidak perlu perneliharaan yang rutin.Klasifikasi betom rnenurut PBI 1971 dibedakan rnenjadi enarnmutu yaitu: Bo, B1, K-125, K-175, K-225 dan K > 225. Angka-angkaindeks dalarn rnutu beton ini rnenunjukkan kekuatan tekan beton karakteristikdalarn urnur 28 hari. Sedangkan menurut Pedornan Beton 1991kekuatan tekan beton (fc') harus dihitung dengan persamaan (0,76 +0,2'?ig (fc115)) fck.Untuk rnencapai kekuatan beton tersebut, kadangkala tirnbulberbagai rnasalah yang rnenunjukkan kekurangan dari beton yang dihasilkan.Oleh karenanya banyak produsen yang rnenawarkan berbagaibahan tarnbahan (admixtures) guna rnengatasi rnasalah tersebut, seperti:produk dari PT. Incrona Raya dan Sika. Disarnping itu di pasaran beredarjuga berbagai produk lain yang fungsinya juga untuk mernperbaikirnutu, dan rneningkatkan kekuatan tekan beton tersebut. Berbagai hasilpenelitian rnernfokuskan pada rnasalah penggunaan admixtures ini,rnenunjukkan bahwa: pertarna, penarnbahan tricosal BV special dapatmeningkatkan kekuatan tekan beton sebesar 10,80% pada urnur 7 hari,dan 5,40 % pada urnur 28 hari. Kedua, penpruh variasi pencarnpuranpernakain retarder dan plasticizer dapat rneningkatkan kekutan tekanbeton se6esar 15,6% pada umur 28 hari. Ketiga, peninjauan , penambahanbahan tarnbah conplast rnernberikan hasil "ada perbedaan kuat tekanbeton antara tanpa bahan tarnbah dengan diberi bahan tarnbah tersebut".Dengan dernikian pernakaian bahan yang di atas dapat dipakai sebagaiusaha meningkatkan rnutu dan kekuatan tekan beton. Untuk bahantarnbah rnerk lain yang belum ada hasil penelitiannya, perlu dilakukanpengujian terlebih dahulu di laboratoriurn.

Abstract

Hyperglycemia is associated with oxidative stress and the pathogenesis of diabetic complications. To reduce the hyperglycemia, modern treatment combined with traditional therapies through functional foods need to be considered, particularly to repair the damaged pancreas beta cells. A foodstuff that has a functionality potential is velvet beans (Mucuna pruriens L), espcially when it is in the form of a fermented product, i.e. tempe. The aim of study was to prove the effect of velvet beans tempe intake on blood glucose levels and superoxide dismutase antioxidant status. This research used randomized controlled group pre test- post test design using 50 male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats aged 2-3 months. The rats were subdivided into 5 groups, 10 rats per group, by means of random allocation. Group 1 is negative control (C-), group 2 is positive control (C+), group 3 is X1-TK10%, group 4 is X2-TK20%, group 5 is X3-TK30%. The groups of C+,X1, X2, X3 are induced by 40 mg/kg body weight stereptozotocin dose by intra peritoneal injection. The research was conducted for 30 days. The data were analyzed with Paired T Test, One-way Anova and continued by the Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The results showed that streptozotocin injection increased the level of blood glucose and reduced the level of serum superoxide dismutase antioxidant activity. Bioassay experiment demonstrated that velvet bean tempe diet reduced the level of blood glucose. On the other hand velvet bean tempe diet improved the level of superoxide dismutase antioxidant activity.ABSTRAKHiperglikemi menimbulkan stress oksidatif dan patogenesis komplikasi diabetes. Untuk menurunkan hiperglikemi perlu dipertimbangkan kombinasi antara pengobatan modern dengan terapi tardisional melalui pangan fungsional guna mengurangi kerusakan sel beta pankreas. Bahan pangan yang memiliki potensi fungsional tersebut adalah biji koro benguk (Mucuna pruriens L) yang difermentasi menjadi bentuk tempe. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan pengaruh asupan tempe koro benguk terhadap kadar glukosa darah dan status antioksidan serum pada tikus hiperglikemi. Penelitian ini menggunakan 50 ekor tikus jantan jenis Sprague Dawley umur 2-3 bulan. Tikus dibagi ke dalam 5 kelompok dengan cara random alokasi. Kelompok 1 kontrol negatif (C-), kelompok 2 kontrol positif (C+), kelompok 3 adalah X1-TK10%, kelompok 4 adalah X2-TK10%, kelompok 5 adalah X3-TK10%. Tikus kelompok C+, X1, X2, X3 diinduksi streptozotocin (STZ) dengan dosis 40 mg/kg BB secara inta peritoneal. Penelitian dilakukan selama 30 hari. Data dianalisis dengan Paired T test, One way Anova dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Wilayah Ganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa STZ meningkatkan kadar glukosa darah dan menurunkan aktivitas antioksidan SOD serum. Hasil analisis in vivo pada tkus menunjukkan bahwa asupan tempe koro benguk menurunkan kadar glukosa darah dan meningkatkan aktivitas antioksidan SOD serum.

Abstract

Research aimed at describing profile of indigenous knowldge owned by the Dayaks Bakumpai in Batola district on managing the diversity of herbs growing at the river flow and swamp. Data on herb used by the tribe were grouped based on the etnobotanic study, covering study botany, etnofarmacology, etnoantrophology, etnolinguistik and etnoekologi. We also observed how the Dayaks Bakumpai in Batola district preserve the diversity of plant in around them, and how their efforts in bequeathing or teaching the traditional knowledge of an old breed generation to his young daam in managing diversity of herbs around them.  The study was carried out at three vellages, namely Simpang Arja, Pengulu and Ulu Benteng. The results showed that 52 plant species living along the river and 67 species that live in the marsh. Based on the interview we found that (1) the profile of indigenous knowldge dayaks bakumpai district batola in making use of the diversity of plant in surrounding shown through etno-linguistic, etno-economy, etno-anthropology, etno-farmacology and etno-ecology against 44 tufted herbs of 67 of herbs found, (2) Dayaks Bakumpai in Batola district, to preserve the diversity of plant surrounding them, have done without planting, but by making use of herbs without a certain rule, making use of herbs by a certain rule, making use of herbs let plant grown in nature, and destroy plants that exist or cultivated, and (3) efforts for the inheriting the indigenous knowldge to its young generation have been done by women and quite alarming that many young ages of Dayaks Bakumpai do not know the name of herbs around them.

Abstract

Background: TB patients are generally the most productive age group and suffer from chronic energy deficiency. Therefore, patients with TB requires a combination of chemotherapy and supplementary feeding as probiotics and zinc to boost the immune response and nutritional status.Objective: To analyze the effect of a combined of probiotics and zinc on the changes of hemoglobin, albumin level, and BMI.Method: This study is a quasi-experimental, randomized design with pre-post test control group involving 52 respondents. They were divided into two groups. The treatment group was given a combination of 1 capsule of probiotics (2 billion probiotics) and zinc 20 mg per day for 28 days. The analysis is paired t-test, independent t-test, Mann-Whitney, Pearson, Spearman, Covariance.Results: There was an increase in hemoglobin (p=0.01), albumin (p=0.01) and BMI (p=0.01). There is no difference between the two groups in the levels of hemoglobin parameter (p=0.21) and BMI (p=0.12), whereas there is a difference parameter albumin levels (p=0.01). The effectiveness of interventions is 4% for hemoglobin levels, 16% to albumin, and 1% for IMT.Conclusion: Probiotics and zinc for 28 days in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis may increase levels of hemoglobin, albumin, and BMI, but there is no significant difference in the changes of BMI. The most powerful influence of intervention effectiveness is on albumin.

Abstract

A voucher program of manufacturing a static hole-making  wood- .chiseling machine for small-scale industrial companies producing wooden furniture was conducted with the objective of increasing the productivity of the wooden furniture production company of Indah Jaya in especially mak­ ing holes for joint construction in the furniture produced. Another objective was to determine the capacity and productivity of the machine itself.The program was conducted through the stages of planning the ma­ chine, manufacturing it, and training company workers in operating it. The planning stage covered the steps of drafting a design of the machine, calcu­ lating the materials for its manufacture, and estimating the cost of the manu­ facture. The manufacturing stage covered the steps of cutting the materials according to the design in the draft, welding some parts together, assem­ bling all the components into a unit, installing electrical appliances in it, testing its performance in operation, and painting it. The training stage co­ vered the steps of delivering a lecture on its theoretical aspects, demonstrat­ ing its operation, and giving company workers practice in operating it.The program has resulted in the actualization of a static hole-makingwood-chiseling machine and in company workers'  acquisition of skills in operating it. With a round iron frame 10 em in diameter combined with a wooden frame 6 cm by 12 ern in size, making it 120 ern by 100 em by 50 em in its dimensions, and powered by an SEM electrical motor generator of12HP and rotation speed of 2800 RPM, in its performance and productivity at making holes of the same form and size in wood the machine has been five to eight times faster than manual tools.Keywords: hole-making  machine, small-scale woodfurniture  industry
