Abstract

Study examined of the quality of orgaoleptic and panelist preferences test of Kasembukan crackers as one of the functional foods. It is known that Kasembukan has antioxidant content and among traditional society has been used as medicine in treating diarrhea and flatulence. The treatment of the research  was the combination of Kasembukan’s flour with concentrations of 2.5%, 5% and 10%. Indicators of the  quality organoleptic include texture, taste, flavor and after taste. Panelist preferences test used of scale of preference from numbers 1-7 (most dislike-most like). There were 100 panelists in the study. The results showed that the best treatment on organoleptic quality and panelist acceptance was the addition of 2.5% kasembukan’s flour from leaves

Abstract

The Nursing documentation that done is still incomplete, especially in evaluation notes and nurses notes. Incomplete patient file will have an impact on the quality of hospital services and legal ethical issues the purpose of this study is to obtain factors of documentation of the completeness of nursing care that done by staff nurse in the emergency room of Anutapura General Hospital Palu. This type of research is quantitative, with observational analytic cross sectional approached. Sampling numberwas total of population about 31 staff nurse. Data analysed by used chi-squer test with Fisher's Exact Test alternative test at significante level (ɑ <0.05). The results of the research on the level of good knowledge with the complete documentation category 91.3%, the level of poor knowledge category of incomplete 75.0%. and high workload with a complete documentation category about 40.0%, low workload with a complete documentation category about 9.5%. knowledge with the completeness of nursing care as a result of Fisher’s Exact Test alternative test results obtained P-value 0.015 (p <0.05), and workload with complete documentation of the results of Fisher’s Exact Test alternative test obtained P-value 0.002 (p <0.05). conclusion there is a relationship between workload, knowledge with the completeness of nursing care. Suggestions for the hospital to evaluate the workload efforts experienced by nurses in the emergency room so that documentation of nursing care conld be qualified for patient services.

Abstract

CV Nurul Jannah adalah UKMKM yang terbentuk dari kelompok petani kelor dan pada tahun 2012 berubah menjadi CV. CV Nurul Jannah mengolah hasil pertanian kelor menjadi produk tepung kelor, teh kelor dan beberapa snack yag berbahan kelor. CV Nurul Jannah memiliki keinginan yang kuat untuk terus berkembang dan berinovasi dalam produk olahan kelor dalam bentuk minuman instan sebagaimana tren konsumsi masyarakat terhadap produk instan saat ini. Produk minuman instan yang akan dijadikan produk inoasi oleh CV Nurul Jannah adalah tablet effervescent kelor. Kendala yang dihadapi CV Nurul Jannah untuk membuat produk inovasi mengembangkan produk kelor menjadi produk inovasi adalah kinerja karyawan yang kurang memadai. Penyebab permasalahan kinerja adalah pemahaman karyawan akan teknologi baru masih rendah dan penguasaan teknologi pengolahan kelor juga masih kurang. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaupayakan penyelesaian permasalahan dengan cara memberikan pelatihan pengolahan dan pelatihan pengoperasian alat pembuat tablet. Dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan pengukuran antara sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan menggunakan metode Key Performance Indicator dan ditemukan adanya peningkatan kinerja karyawan. Melalui pelatihan tim produksi CV Nurul Jannah telah mampu memproduksi tablet effervescent kelor karena telah memahami formulasi bahan, pencampuran dan pencetakan. Abstract

Obesity is a substansial public-health crisis in numerous developing country including Indonesia. Morbidity and mortalityin adult population is increased in individuals who were overweight in adolescence even if they lose the extra weightduring adulthood. Many factor influencing occurence of obesity, such as food pattern and activity pattern.The aims ofthis study was to describe risk factor of obesity of obese students. Samples were 2006’s obese students of RiauUniversity who had doing medical Check-up in Balai Kesehatan of Riau University. A descriptive study conducted on27 obese students in Riau University class 2006. variables of this study are risk factor of individual and family, foodpattern, and activity pattern. Obese criterian was taken by measured BMI. Food pattern and activity pattern was takenby using questionnaire. This study showed that 15 students (55,5 %) wereobese II (BMI > 30), 100 % students arecentral obesity, 59% students had mild consumtion risk factor and 22% students had high consumtion risk factor. 16% student had mild and 74 % student had high activity risk factor.

Abstract

One of atherosclerosis risk factor is dislipidemia. One of plant that is expected to overcome dislipidemia is shallot(Allium ascalonicum L.). The aim of this research was to know the effect of shallot’s extraction water on the plasmalipid profile of mice. Groups with treatment consist of yolks group, and shallot water extraction divided into threetreatmen level ; 20%, 40% and 80%. Parameters that were measured were total cholesterol level, LDL, HDL andplasma triglyceride of mice in the end of treatment. Simvastatin and aquadest were separately used as positive andnegative control. This research proves that shallot’s extortion water has effect in decreasing the level of total cholesterol,LDL and triglyceride and also has effect in increasing level of HDL plasma with 80% of concentration as the bestconcentration.

Abstract

Atherosclerosis can happen easily on animal that are given high cholesterol diet. Alpha lipoic acid is universal antioxidantthat very effective to reduce free radicals, include lipid peroxide. The goal of this research was to find out the prohibitionof atherosclerosis lesion development on male mice aorta that was given high cholesterol diet by alpha lipoic acid. Thiswas an experimental laboratory research with post test only design. Eighteen adult male mice were segregated intothree groups labelled as group NaCl 0,9%, yolks and ALA.. The experiment was design for 6 weeks. The measuredparameter was atherosclerosis lesion score of groups labelled. The statistical test result showed the significant differenceof some tested groups. There was a statistically significant difference between alpha lipoic acid and yolks group (p=0,008),but there is no significant difference was found between ALA and NaCl 0,9% group (p=0,126). As the conclusion, thisstudy proves that alpha lipoic acid has the effects to prohibition of atherosclerosis lesion development on male miceaorta that are given high cholesterol diet.

Abstract

Hypercholesterolemia is complication in type 2 diabetes. Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) reduced total cholesterol by modulatingcholesterol synthesis pathway and reduced cholesterol biosynthesis genes expression. The goal of this research wasto investigate the prohibition of hypercholesterolemia in type 2 diabetes rat by ALA. Fifteen adult male wistar rats (2-3 months, 200-250 g body weight) were segregated into three groups (standard, type 2 diabetes and type 2 diabetes +ALA). Type 2 diabetes induced by streptozotocin 65 mg/kg and nicotinamide 110 mg/kg. ALA was given for 3 weeksafter type 2 diabetes induced.After 31 days total cholesterol of groups labelled is measured. The result showed therewas significant difference between ALA and type 2 diabetes groups (p= 0.012), and there was no significant differencebetween ALA and standard groups (p= 0.591). As the conclusion, this study proves that ALA has effects on totalcholesterol in type 2 diabetes rats.

Abstract

Malondialdehyde, a product of lipid peroxidation, is often used as an indicator to detect the oxidative stress damaged in the body. Lipidperoxidation is associated with progression of atherosclerosis. It is known that onion (Allium ascalonicum L.) can be used as an antioxidantand hypolipidemic agent, but whether onion can decrease hypercolesterolemia mice MDA plasma induced by yolk is still unknown. Thepurpose of this study was to investigate the effect of onion’s juice on hypercolesterolemia mice MDA plasma level. This was an experimentallaboratory research with post test only design with control. The measured parameters were cholesterol and MDA level on tested groups.Groups with treatment consist of yolks group, and 80% shallot juice, simvastatin and aquadest were separately used as positive and negativecontrol. The result showed that there was significant difference between high fat feed group which added 80% onion’s juice and high fat feedgroup only. Addition of 80% onion’s juice in high fat feed groups decreased MDA plasma level equal to normal feed group. In conclusion, itwas proved that onion’s juice decreased mice MDA plasma level.

Abstract

Abstract: This study was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of students, with an average grade 56.75. Among students of 20 people only 7 students who completed reached KKM with classical completeness 35%. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted aims to improve learning outcomes Mathematics Elementary School fourth grade students 2 Muda District of Siak Kecil Lubuk Bengkalis by applying the model of Problem Based Learning. Data collection instruments in this thesis is the teacher and student activity sheets and learning outcomes. This thesis presents the increase in the number of students who reach the KKM of 7 people on the base score to 13 people in the first cycle and increased to 18 people in the second cycle. This means that the sample classes have been completed in the classical. An increase in the average learning outcomes of basic score is 56.75 into 63.25 and 76.75 in the first cycle in the second cycle. An increase in the activity of the teacher. At the first meeting of the first cycle of activity percentages of teachers is 65,00%, 75,00% second meeting. While the second cycle the first meeting with the percentage of 85,00%, and the second meeting increased 90,00%. While the student activity also increased that the first meeting of the first cycle of the percentage of student activity is 60,00%, 70,00% second meeting, the first meeting of the second cycle of 75,00% and a second meeting fixed with an average 85,00%. Results of the study in class IV SDN 2 Muda District of Siak Kecil Lubuk Bengkalis prove that the application of the model Application of Problem Based Learning Model to improve learning outcomes Maths grade IV SDN 2 Lubuk Young Bengkalis District of Siak Kecil.Keywords: Problem Based Learning Application, Mathematics and PTK Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

One of the issues of food today has spread throughout society is the issue ofhalal. In general, indicating the label of halal in the food products is on the package orthe label of the product that was officially published by Majelis Ulama Indonesia, MUI(The Indonesia Ulema Council). The role of the mother in child food product purchasingdecision is huge, especially for mothers who have children ages 1-12 years. At the age ofthe child, mother tends to be protective in buying children's meals because of securityconcerns from religious or health aspects for a Muslim. It is one of district in Maduraisland with a majority Muslim population, is Sumenep. This research aims to know themother's understanding on halal label on the food product packaging and theidentification of its influence on the purchase of food products, with the dependentvariables consists of understanding the mother against halal label, price and productquality in children's meals and independent variables in the form of purchase decisions.Instrument research using enclosed questionnaires. The indicators used in determiningthe level of understanding of mothers towards halal labels refer to the halal definitionbased on LPPOM-MUI, the official halal logo issued by MUI. The data were analyzedusing descriptive analysis of the characteristics of respondents and multiple linearregression analysis. The results showed that mother enough understand about children'sfood products labeled halal, considered the understanding is already good. Variablesthat have a significant influence on the selection of a child's food product are halal labelvariables. The halal label, price and product quality are the main factors that influencemothers in deciding to buy children's food products in Sumenep.
