Abstract

The goal of this study was determine the influence of honey harvesting age in the area of the calliandra plant to diastase enzyme activity, hidroxymetilfurfural (HMF) and acidity. The method of this study was experiments (RAL) with 3 treatments and five replication. The observations of this study were P1 (honey harvested in 11 days), P2 (honey harvested in 14 days), and P3 (honey harvested in 17 days). The variable in this study is the activity of diastase enzyme, hidroxymetilfurfural (HMF) and acidity. Data of this study were analyzed with the Range Analysis (ANOVA), if there is a significant difference between treatments, analysis of data was continued with the Smallest Real Difference Test (BNT). The results of this study showed that the honey harvesting age gave significant effect (p<0.01) on diastase enzymes activities, hidroxymetilfurfural and acidity. As a conclusion, honey harvesting age influences the quality of the activity of the diastase enzyme, hidroxymetilfurfural and acidity. The best content of diastase enzyme, was found in P3 treatment that is generated in 17th day of harvesting with the value 11.12 DN due to it was longer in the nest before harvested. The best content of hidroximetilfurfural was found in P3 with the value 4.48 mg/kg and the best content of acidity honey was found in P3 with the value 28.42 NaOH/kg.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to reveal the effect of PMR approach with discovery learning method, PMR approach, and directed instruction approach to the mathematics achievement in Algebra Expression viewed from mathematics communication ability. The type of this research was a quasi experimental by 3x3 factorial design. The population in this research was the seventh grade students of junior high school in Pontianak in the academic year 2012/2013. The total of sample was 9 classes and it was taken using stratified cluster random sampling technique. The instrument of research using mathematics achievement test and mathematics communication ability test. The data was analyzed using unbalanced two-way analysis of variance. The conclusion of this research shows that PMR approach with discovery learning method, PMR approach and directed instruction approach give the same mathematics achievement and it shows the same result in each level of mathematics communication ability. Other conclusion also shows that the students who have high mathematics communication ability have better mathematics achievement than the students who have middle or low mathematics communication ability, the students who have middle mathematics communication ability have better mathematics achievement than the students who have low mathematics communication ability, and it shows the same result in each learning approach categories.Key words: PMR Approach, Discovery Learning Method, Directed Instruction Approach, Mathematics Communication Ability, Mathematics Achievement.

Abstract

(Title: Role and Function of Self-Access Learning Center in UNY). This study aims to develop self-access reading materials for learning English independently. This research was conducted with the Research and Development model by following the steps: needs assessment, design and development, evaluation and revision, and a try out field. Data collected through questionnaires. There are three questionnaires used, namely for needs assessment, for expert judgment, and for field trials. Sample for needs assessment was taken by proportional quota sampling representing all faculties at UNY, while samples for the trial were taken purposively. The collected data was analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results of the study showed that SAC UNY had not been widely known by students. Even after the introduction of online tutorials since 2015, the SAC is no longer visited by students. Thus the teaching materials developed should also be in the form of online. SAC socialization was also deemed necessary so that students were more familiar with the existence, function, and role of SAC in developing the English language skills of UNY students.Keyword: SAC, teaching materials, language skills, English

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian urea, arang aktif dan zeolit terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman padi sawah. Perlakuan penelitian disusun dalam rancangan acak kelompok pola faktorial dengan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan urea terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu perlakuan tanpa urea, urea 150 kg ha-1 dan urea 200 kg ha-1. Perlakuan Arang aktif  terdiri dari 2 taraf yaitu perlakuan tanpa arang aktif dan arang aktif 40 kg ha-1, serta perlakuan zeolit terdiri dari 2 taraf yaitu perlakuan tanpa zeolit dan zeolit 200 kg ha-1. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, perlakuan urea memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 30 HST dan 45 HST,  gabah per plot,  dan memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah anakan umur 30 HST. Perlakuan arang aktif memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah anakan padi umur 30 HST dan berat gabah per plot sedangkan zeolit berpengaruh terhadap jumlah anakan padi umur 30 HST. Terjadi Interaksi yang nyata antara ; urea dan arang aktif terhadap jumlah anakan umur 15 HST ; urea, arang aktif dan zeolit terhadap jumlah anakan umur 30 HST ; arang aktif dan zeolit terhadap jumlah anakan produktif.Effect of Urea, Active Charcoal, and Zeolite on Growth and Yield of Rice(Oryza sativa L.)ABSTRACT. The objectives of the research were to study effects of urea, active charcoal and zeolite on growth and yield of rice. The experiment was arranged in a factorial randomized block design with three replications. Factor of urea consisted of three levels, i.e. treatment without urea, urea 150 kg ha-1 and urea 200 kg ha-1. Factor of active charcoal consisted of two levels i.e. treatment without active charcoal and active charcoal 40 kg ha-1. Factor of zeolite consisted of two levels i.e. without zeolite and zeolite 200 kg ha-1. Results showed that urea exerted  highly significant effects on plant height at age 30 days after transplanting (DAT) and 45 DAT, grain per plot, and exerted a significant effect on tiller numbers at 30 DAT. Active charcoal exerted  significant effects on tiller numbers at 30 DAT and grain weight per plot, while zeolite exerted significant effect on tiller numbers at age 30 DAT. Significant interaction occurred between urea and active charcoal on tiller numbers at age 15 DAT; urea, activated carbon, and zeolite on tiller number at age 30 DAT; active charcoal and zeolite on productive tiller numbers.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyiangan gulma dengan sistim tanam SRI dan sistim tanam konvensional terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil padi sawah. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terpisah (Split Plot Design) dalam pola RAK faktorial, yang terdiri dari 2 faktor yang di teliti: petak utama yaitu sistem tanam terdiri dari: SRI dan konvensional, dan anak petak yaitu pengaruh penyiangan gulma terdiri dari 3 taraf: penyiangan 20 HST, penyiangan 40 HST, penyiangan 60 HST. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyiangan gulma berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil padi yang dibudidayakan secara sistim SRI dan konvensional. Pertumbuhan yang terbaik dan hasil tertinggi pada penelitian ini diperoleh pada sistim SRI yang disiangi pada umur 20 HST. Sedangkan hasil terendah dijumpai pada penyiangan 60 HST menggunakan sistem konvensional. Effect of Weed Mowing and Planting System on Growth and Yield of Rice (Oryza sativa L.).ABSTRACT. The objectives of the research were to study effects of weed mowing using System Rice Intensification (SRI) and conventional transplanting system on growth and yield of rice. The experiment was arranged in a split plot design using factorial randomized block design which consists of 2 checked factors i.e main plot that is transplanting system consists of: SRI and conventional and sub plot that is effect of weed mowing consists of three levels: 20 DAT mowing, 40 DAT mowing, and 60 DAT mowing. Result showed that the mowing of weed affect the growth and yield of rice which conducted using SRI and conventional transplanting system. The best growth and yield in this experiment was obtained by using SRI transplanting system and 20 DAT. While the worst was obtained by using conventional transplanting system and 60 DAT.

Abstract

This study was aimed to examine the effect of a remedial-integrated activity on dynamic fluids materials using generative learning to reduce student misconception in Senior High Schools (SMA). Pre-experimental method with the design of pretest-posttest control group was used in this study. This study was held in SMAN 7 Pontianak, West Kalimantan, involving the total number of 36 students from which were selected randomly at XI MIPA Class (Eleventh grade of Natural Science Class) using the random sampling with intact group technique. The instrument of this study used was the total question of a diagnostic test with 18 multiple-choice questionnaires. Then, the collected data was analysed using a descriptive statistic and t-test. The result of this study revealed that the remedial integration on Physics misconceptions positively decreased the levels of student misconceptions in Senior High Schools against dynamic fluids materials.

Abstract

Perkawinan merupakan suatu ikatan yang mengandung nilai ibadah dan suatu tahap kehidupan penting bagi seseorang dengan berbagai tujuan hidup. Oleh karena itulah,segala aspek yang terkait dengan  perkawinan haruslah didasari dengan keputusan yang disadari secara penuh bagi yang melakukan,  yaitu suami atau istri. Dalam konteks ini, kadangkala kemandirian dan hak perempuan seperti penentuan usia perkawinan dan pemilihan pasangan terabaikan terutama pada masyarakat desa atau daerah-daerah dimana masih terdapat bias gender terhadap status dan perempuan yang dikonstruk sebagai suatu kearifan dan norma lokal yang seringkali berdampak negatif bagi semua pihak. Dengan demikian, kemandirian perempuan dalam perkawinan semestinya dikembalikan pada pada perempuan agar tujuan mulia  perkawinan dapat terwujud.

Abstract

Pernikahan pada umumnya dipandang sebagai sebuah persoalan yang bersifat personal dimana hanya individu terbatas dan memiliki  relasi kekeluargaan yang dapat melakukan intervensi pada fase tertentu. Dengan kata lain, individu diluar relasi kekeluargaan tidak dipandang memiliki hak misalnya pemilihan bentuk pernikahan yang akan dijalani (monogamy ataupun poligami). Pada kelompok masyarakat tertentu, masyarakat memilki peluang untuk melakukan intervensi dan kontrol seperti yang terjadi pada daerah tertentu di masyarakat Madura. Pada masyarakat ini,  pernikahan poligami di Mayarakat tertentu di MAdura berlangsung dibawah kontrol sosial yang ketat dimana persoalan poligami juga menjadi bagian kontrol sosial dan penjagaan terhadap hak-hak perempuan.

Abstract

Konsepsi tentang perempuan adalah salah satu isu yang paling sering dibicarakan  khususnya diantara berbagai konsepsi sosial yang ada. Salah satu isu yang berkaitan dengan perempuan yang sering dibahas adalah poligami yang menimbulkan berbagai respon yang berbeda dari berbagai pihak dalam menyikapi isu tersebut. Perdebatan panjang tentang praktek poligami di masyarakat berdasar pada legalitas poligami dan dampaknya terhadap perempuan. Praktek poligami juga menarik perhatian banyak kalangan terutama ketika terjadi pro dan kontra. Bagi kelompok yang berpihak pada praktek poligami selalu berusaha mengemas alasan klise untuk mendukung argumen mereka. Sebaliknya, bagi kelompok yang menyuarakan isu-isu gender dan perempuan terus membangun argumen yang berusaha membuktikan bahwa poligami berpeluang untuk memberikan dampak yang negatif bagi perempuan. Terlepas dari kedua kutub tersebut, poligami merupakan suatu isu yang terus mengabadi sebagai wacana yang bersifat polemis yang nampaknya tidak mudah untuk berujung pada suatu kesepakatan dalam tataran konsep dan realitas.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan studi ini untuk mengetahui secara teoritik peranan senam otak dalam meningkatkan fungsi memori jangka pendek (short term memory) pada anak. Penelitian kualitatif jenis studi kepustakaan ini dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan berbagai sumber dari jurnal dan buku terkait dengan fokus kajian. Analisis data yang digunakan berupa analisis naratif deskriptif. Hasil penelusuran menunjukkan gerakan yang dilakukan dalam senam otak dapat meningkatkan fungsi memori jangka pendek yang terbukti dengan kemajuan kemampuan anak dalam membaca. Gerakan senam otak melatih daerah sensorik otak sehingga daya tahan informasi yang didapat bertahan lebih lama membuat memori lebih kuat sehingga membuat proses belajar lebih mudah dan menghilangkan hambatan belajar. Senam otak sangat dianjurkan untuk anak-anak yang kemampuan matematikanya belum optimal. Hasil penelitian ini mengimplikasikan pada guru, orang tua atau pengasuh anak untuk senantiasa memberikan stimulus berupa senam otak pada anak agar dapat meningkatkan fungsi otak dan membuat tubuh rileks sehingga semangat dalam belajar sehingga dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar. AbstractThe purpose of this study is to know how the brain gym improves short term memory function to children. This qualitative research with a literature study was conducted by collecting various sources from journals and books related to the focus of the study. The data analysis used was descriptive narrative analysis. The results showed that the movements in the brain gym can improve short-term memory function that is the progress of children's ability to read. Brain gym movements train the sensory areas of the brain so that the resistance of the information lasts longer, makes memory stronger, making the learning process easier and eliminating learning obstacles. Based on the study, a brain gym is highly recommended for children whose mathematical abilities are not yet optimal. It implies that teachers, parents, or caregivers should provide a stimulus in the form of brain gym to children. With that stimulus, it can improve brain function and relax the body. The children become more enthusiastic and improve their learning achievement.
