Abstract

Aflatoxins are carcinogenic mycotoxins that commonly contaminate foods and feed. There are many different forms of aflatoxin and its metabolites. Of these, aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) is the most prevalent and toxic. Lactobacillus acidophilus SNP-2 has previously been shown to remove AFB1 from liquid solution of phosphate saline buffer. However, the ability of lactic acid bacteria to reduce AFB1 content in soymilk has not been studied yet. The objective of this study was to investigate the ability of viable and heat-killed cells of L. acidophilus SNP-2 to reduce AFB1 in soymilk and fermented soymilk. Soymilk contaminated with Aspergillus flavus was inoculated with culture of L. acidophilus SNP-2, and incubated at 37°C for 12 hours. Fermented soymilk, then, was heat sterilized and stored at cool room (4°C). Heat-killed cells were introduced to soy milk and then kept at cool room for 3 days. During soymilk fermentation, there was reduction of AFB1 content in soymilk related to the growth of lactic acid bacteria and the reduction of pH. The initial concentration of AFB1 in the soymilk was 4.9 ppb. Lactobacillus acidophilus SNP-2 reduced 67.58% of AFB1 in the soymilk after 12 hoursof fermentation. In cool environment, the binding of AFB1 to heat-killed cell after soymilk fermentation was relatively more stable than that of soymilk without fermentation.

Abstract

Gringsing wayang kebo woven cloth is one of specialty cloths owned by Tenganan Pegringsingan Village, Manggis Sub-district, Karangasem Regency, Bali. This research aims to interpreting the Tri Mandala concept on the motif of gringsing wayang kebo woven cloth. The approach of this research is descriptive qualitative. Techniques for collecting data are observation, interview, and documentation, data analysis is using interactive analysis model and the validity of the data will be confirmed with triangulation technique. The result of this research shows that the motif of gringsing wayang kebo follows the of Tri Mandala concept that consists of 3 parts, Main pattern, Center pattern, and edge pattern. The motifs consisted of each pattern are 1). The motif on the main pattern consists of the plus, swastika, building, and scorpion motif; 2). The motif on the center pattern consists of an animal motif, floral, mountain, wayang; and; 3). The motif on the edge pattern consists of plus sign (+) and sun.

Abstract

AbstractLearning difficulties are a disturbance in one or more of the basic psychological processes that include understanding and use of speech or writing language." In this respect, there is a learning difficulty experienced by kindergarten-age children, which will affect their ability in later classes. This study aims to describe the learning difficulties experienced by children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten Lab. Muhammadiyah Model. Specifically this study describes the difficulty of learning to read children aged 5-6 years, describe the difficulty of learning to write children aged 5-6 years, describe the difficulty of learning to count children aged 5-6 years. The method used is qualitative research method with case study approach. The data source consists of 2 teachers in groups of children aged 5-6 years, 3 parent case subjects, and 3 children who are guilty of learning difficulties which is the subject of the case in this study. After the data is collected, the data is presented for conclusion. Difficulty learning to read on troubled child in 5-6 years age group that is different, class writing process have difficulties, which influence in learning activity class, like inconsistent in the form of letter, when writing have bad writing. The class counting process has difficulties, which affect it in classroom learning activities, such as being able to arrange numbers, and difficulty with almost identical numbers. Based on the results of the study there are several suggestions that can be considered by the parties concerned in an effort to overcome the learning difficulties of children. The suggested suggestions are for teachers to be more familiar with the child's parents, for the kindergarten to be able to carry out joint evaluations on a regular basis, and for parents to be expected to pay attention to the child while at home. Kata kunci: kesulitan belajar, kesulitan membaca, kesulitan menulis, kesulitan berhitung

Abstract

Abstrak Pendidikan dan pelatihan dari PPM ini, memiliki tujuan untuk mengenalkan batik dan keris di Yayasan Pendidikan Uwais Al Qorni KB dan TKAlam Terpadu Uwais Al Qorni : Sumber Nayu Rt 7/12 Kadipiro Surakarta. Target yang ingin dicapai adalahmampu memberi pengetahuan dan ketrampilan tingkat dasar tentang batik dankeris kepada guru-guru TK, untuk dikembangkan menjadimodel pendidikanberkarakter pada pendidikan anak usia dini ( PAUD ), harapan kedepan model pembelajaran pendidikan berkarakter, dapat diteruskandandiaplikasikan di sekolahlainnya melalui Ikatan Guru RadiatulAnfal Surakarta.Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai target tersebut adalah : ( 1 ) Kegiatan pengenalan dan pelatihan yang mengedepankan kebersamaan tanpa membedakan antara peserta dan fasilitator serta penggunaan media dan modelpelatihan yang efektif dan efisien, serta dapat diterima oleh peserta pelatihan yaitu para guru. ( 2 ) Pendampingan aplikasinya pada anak-anak usia dini dengan pemilihan dan penggunaan media yang sesuai bagi anak-anak melalui media ajar tentang batik dan keris yang berbasis IT. Strategi lain adalah menggunakanpendekatanpersonal, agar peserta dapat menerima dan mampu menerapkanmateripelatihan dengan baik. Peranserta dari lembaga Yayasan Pendidikan Uwais Al Qorni dan Sekolah KB-TKAlam Terpadu Surakarta adalah menyeleksidan memberimotivasi peserta untuk dapat mengikutipelatihan dari awal hingga selesai agar dapat mengerti sekaligus menerapkan semua materi yang diajarkan kepada PAUD.Tindak lanjut dari pelatihan ini, adalah adanya model pembelajaran pendidikan berkarakter yang dapat diteruskan dan diaplikasikan di sekolah lainnya melalui Ikatan Guru RadiatulAnfal Surakarta. Kata kunci: batik, keris, pendidikan berkarakter , PAUD Al Qorni. Abstract The purpose of education and training from Community Service Program was to introduce batik and keris at Yayasan Pendidikan Uwais Al Qorni, Alam Terpadu Playgroup and Kindergarten Al Qorni: Sumber, Nayu Rt 7/12 Kadipiro Surakarta. The aim was to provide basic knowledge and skill about batik and keris to kindergarten teachers, to be developed into model of character building   in early childhood education (PAUD). Hopefully, this character building learning model could be forwarded and be applied in other schools through Radhlatul Athfal Teachers Association Surakarta. The methods used to achieve these targets were: (1) Introducing and training activities that promoted togetherness without separating the participants and facilitators using effective and efficient medias and training models, which were considered acceptable to teacher trainees. (2) Gave assistance in applying to children of early age by selecting and using appropriate media for children through teaching media about batik and keris based on information technology. Another strategy was to use personal approach, so participants could receive and be able to apply the training materials well. The participation of Yayasan Pendidikan Al Qorni and Alam Terpadu Playgroup & Kindergarten Surakarta was to select and motivate the participants to join the complete training in order to understand and apply all the materials taught to PAUD. The follow up of this training was educational model of character building that could be forwarded and be applied in other schools through of Radhlatul Athfal Teachers Association Surakarta. Keywords: batik, keris, character building, PAUD Al Qomi.

Abstract

Batik is one of the Indonesian’s prides. The government, batik craftsman, and people have tried many efforts to preserve batik. We have to be proud of for based on the decision of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) it is decided that batik Indonesia is considered to be an intangible cultural Heritage of Humanity. Batik as a uniform of a community or an institution is actually able, psychologically, to bring it to the sense of kinship, togetherness, and solidarity. Batik as a uniform is also able to form people’s brand image toward the community or institution. It means that, indirectly, imaging of a certain community or institution can be built up by the uniform adjusted to its vision and mission. One of the efforts is through “Penciptaan Motif Batik Untuk Seragam (Uniform) Civitas Akademika ISI Surakarta Sebagai Upaya Pencitraan Institusi Yang Berkarakter” (Creating A Batik Motive for Uniform of All Staffs in ISI Surakarta as An Effort to the Imaging of A Characteristic Institution). The motives that can be created have some elements that are motives of logo ISI Surakarta, the gate of ISI Surakarta, Pendapa (grand hall), book and lotus flower as well as plants “lung”. The motive elements are held together to be the symbol of ISI Surakarta as a home for togetherness in reaching the highest ideals in the field of science, art and culture including education, research, and workmanships, as well as community services by upheld the sustainable honesty and integrity. Abstract

Lifestyle is one of the popular term in global and modern world. Their appearance does not necessarily exist, but is supported by the habitus and image of that shaped it. Any individual or group has always wanted to show his identity through their chosen lifestyle. One of them is by using a particular clothing. Since the first in the Java culture, batik is used by the kingdom as a marker of status, and are realized or not the kingdom was applied a certain lifestyle. As age advances, now lifestyle wear clothing with a particular motif widely followed by the community. There are some ideological contradictions associated with the development of lifestyle by using the batik in Indonesia. On the one side, batik as a lifestyle is the result of capitalist production which have a conflict within it, and the other side, batik as a lifestyle is a form of creativity necessary for social and cultural progress.

Abstract

Indonesia is a rich country with tradition cultural which heritaged from ancestral. As relics of the reliefs in some temples in Indonesia. We have the different character from other nations and the most important is the Indonesia human has features works of art that has existed since prehistoric times and the characteristic can still be found in the present. There is a continuity of the Indonesian art with the art of first ancestor. The characteristics include the Flat Time Space system (in Indonesian called Ruang Waktu Datar) that is different directions, different place, and different time. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the students? error in using past continues tense. The specific objectives were to analyze kinds of error made by the students, to analyze the dominant kind of the students? error and further more to found out their probably causes. In analyzing data, the writer were giving test to the students to measure the students? results of their ability and analyze their cases in their study on using past continues tense. The writer took points in every student works, counted it and analyzed. This study were using quantitative descriptive research, in which include counted on analyzed and present the result of study by described on concluding it. The data took from the population of the second grade of SMP Muhammadiyah Aimas were include two class and the writer took the sample from12 (twelve) students from one class. The students of this study had been studied the theory of past continues tense before it. First step in collecting data the writer gave explanation related the theory of past continues tense to follow up the students? memories in understanding, share the worksheet then explaining the instruction of the test before gave the test. By the observation to the students? result test, she found four kinds of the students? error with the frequency: error in addition= 53 (25, 24%), error in omission= 60 (28, 57%), error in miss-formation = 57(27, 14%), and error in miss-ordering = 40 (19, 05%) and the most dominant error was error in omission = 60 (28, 57%). The causes of error were classified based on the theory by John Norris (carelessness, first language interference, and translation), analyzed on the students? results test.

Abstract

Baby bed is one type of furniture which the existence is very necessary to meet the needs of the community, especially in family groups who have children / babies. The idea of creating the work is divided into two problem formulations, namely, how to design a baby bed in the form of a truck with decorative elements of Punakawan and how to visualize the design into works of art. The approach used is Dewitt H. Parker's aesthetic theory. The method of creation includes 3 stages, namely: the exploration stage, the design stage, and the embodiment stage. The baby bed produced in this artistic research is a work that has functional and aesthetic values with reference to the character of Punakawan. The symbolic value contains the exemplary teachings of Punakawan become a substance in this baby bed artwork. These baby beds are created creatively and innovatively for the renewal of baby bed shapes.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The beauty of batik as one form of visual culture in Indonesia is one of the priceless inheritance which has a philosophical symbolic meaning that regulates the social relationship between human and the human relationships with the God. The history of batik never revealed when batik began to exist and who created it. Batik in Indonesia has been known since the era of the Majapahit Kingdom and continues to grow until the emergence of the next kingdoms. Exploration of visual culture in Indonesia becomes a challenge in its learning and its realization. The reason is that every culture has its own social norm / custom that is very strong and influences the people's lives.The diverse application of batik motifs on various products greatly influences the strength of the existence of batik as one form of art in Indonesia which, of course, can also move the economic side of the creation of creativity that always emerges and develops in society. This artistic research of batik motifs richness that is applied into a wood carving motif is proposed to support the development of batik. This research uses a method of motifs exploration by bringing up traditional batik motifs that are packaged in a semi relief wood carving by applying a new motif patterned in accordance to the wood carving techniques. This method conveys traditional batik motifs with a three-dimensional style and in different  size in order to bring up the three-dimensional style. Keywords: Exploration, Batik Motifs, Wood Carving. ABSTRAK Keindahan batik sebagai salah satu wujud budaya rupa di Indonesia adalah merupakan salah satu warisan tak ternilai harganya, yang mempunyai kandungan makna simbolis filsafati yang mengatur hubungan sosial antar manusia serta hubungan manusia dengan Dzat Yang Maha Agung. Dalam kesejarahan tentang keberadaan batik tidak pernah diungkap kapan kali pertama muncul dan siapa yang menciptakannya. Namun batik di Indonesia telah dikenal sejak zaman Kerajaan Majapahit dan terus berkembang hingga munculnya kerajaan-kerajaan berikutnya. Ekplorasi sebuah kekayaan budaya rupa di Indonesia merupakan sebuah tantangan dalam hal pembelajaran dan perwujudannya. Hal tersebut dikarenakan setiap kekayaan budaya diiringi sebuah norma/adat sosial yang sangat kuat dan berpengaruh dalam sendi kehidupan masyarakat. Aplikasi motif batik yang beragam pada berbagai produk ini sangat mempengaruhi kekuatan keberadaan batik sebagai salah satu wujud seni rupa di Indonesia, yang tentunya juga dapat mengerakkan sisi ekonomi dari terciptanya kreativitas yang selalu muncul dan berkembang di masyarakat. Sebagai salah satu dukungan dalam perkembangan wujud seni batik ini, maka diusulkan sebuah penelitian kekaryaan (artistik) tentang kekayaan motif batik yang mengaplikasikan ke dalam sebuah motif ukir kayu yang selama ini belum pernah dilakukan. Sajian penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksplorasi motif, yaitu memunculkan motif-motif batik tradisi yang dikemas dalam tampilan ukir kayu semi relief dengan mengaplikasikan pola motif garapan baru sesuai dengan ranah teknik ukir kayu. Metode ini menuangkan motif batik tradisi namun dengan gaya tiga dimensi yang terdapat sedikit gubahan ukuran sebagai upaya memunculkan kekuatan tiga dimensionalnya. Kata Kunci : Ekplorasi, Motif Batik, Ukir Kayu.
