Abstract

Muslim scholars’ interests on hermeneutic have led to the development of the Al-Quran interpretation into various models. Hermeneutic has become the icon in modernization of Al-Quran values in which interpretation revolves around transnational and multidimensional perspectives which are sometimes political to advocate humanism, feminism, and pluralism. Based on the literature review, the interpretation of Al-Quran tends to lead to some typologies namely constructive, pro-constructive, reconstructive and deconstructive typologies. The hermeneutic in the constructive typology was introduced by a'immah al-‘arba’ah scholars such as Hanafi, Syafi’i, Hambali and Maliki. Meanwhile, the pro-constructive typology was led by Ghazali, Ibnu Qayyim al-Jauzi, lmam Shatibi, Muhammad ‘Abid al-Jabiri and At-thabari. The hermeneutic in the reconstructive typology was introduced by Ibnu Taimiyah, Muhammad 'Abduh, Hasan Hanafi, Fazlur Rahman, Sayyed Hossein Nasr, Khaled M. Abou al-Fadl and Yusuf Qaradhawi. The hermeneutic in the deconstructive typology refers to the hermeneutic introduced by Arkoun, Muhammad Shahrour, Nasr Hamid Abu Zaid, Abdullah An-Na’im, Amina Wadud, Fatema Memissi, and Asma Barlas.

Abstract

Asceticism in Islam is perceived as an ascetic (zuhd), the alienation of self and soul  to be more focus in practicing pure worship (ibadah mahdhah). It is not logical if asceticism in  Islam is synonymous with faqir (the poor) or ju'i (hungry) or distancing oneself from the  crowd and togetherness. The concentration of asceticism attempts to create goodness and  virtue, physical strength, emotion and mood. Thus, the introduction of Islamic asceticism to  zuhd is included in the historical iron cage, whereas contemporary Islamic asceticism should be  included in iron cage of modernity. Islamic asceticism is motivated by ethos and ethics that are  socio-centric, not egocentric who only wants perfection and self righteousness. The pattern of  Islamic asceticism is not stagnant zuhd but moderate zuhd as the attitude that promotes  excellence and achieves all lawful things by performing various contributions to social  salvation. Therefore, moderate zuhd equals to productive and participatory zuhd.

Abstract

Mulla Sadra name the Islamic philosophy the al-Hikmah al-Muta'aliah. According to him, al-hikmah al-muta'aliah is the knowledge which is based on an intellectual intuition (irfani or isyraq dzawq), rational proof ('aql or istidlal), and the shari'ah (burhany). Al-Hikmah al Muta'āliyyah is a synthesis of three mode of thinking, namely: theology with character polemical dialectical (Jaddaly), philosophy with the character of demonstrative (burhany), theosofy with the illuminastic and gnostic character (dhawq). This all elements are derived from the Koran, and Hadith. Human‟s knowledge is divided into two: husuly science and hudhury science. Husuly science (acquired), knowledge gained through ilham (inspiration), al-kasyf (unveiling) and al-hads (intuition). Science hudlury (innate) covers about perception which, according to Mulla Sadra it was identified as an act which refers to the sensation, thus the perception is the designation for the deeds done by any soul to know the object of knowledge, both physical and non physical. He divides perception into four levels; sensory perception (al-Hiss), imajinal (al-khayal), intuition senses (wahm), intelegency (ta'aqqul). Intelegency as the highest level is based upon the degree achievement (tajarud) with the cosmos, while the sensory perception is the lowest level. The term tajarud is actually ascribed to Allah as a Being Payers (wajib al-wujud) who do not have an attachment to anything else but Himself. God‟s knowledge is objective existence (al-wujud al-'ainy). Human‟s knowledge is mental existence (al-wujud alDzihny).

Abstract

Thomas Kuhn describes that the science truth will be discovered many times  from one object, although the method used changed. Formulation of paradigm theory  sparks that the science truth (legitimated truth) is identical to teleology object, which is  based on detection that is known as final cause. The truth science is not continuous,  improvised, evolutioned, or cumulative. There is paradigm shift actually, which is known  as revolution. Shifting paradigm is equally understood as gestalt switch, which discovers  verification on all at once or not at all. Paradigm shift helps unfolding consciousness that  scientists as unable to discover truth in objectively established manners. Paradigm  designs the worldview’s frame or perspective to be more important, legitimate and  reasonable. This led the detection to revolution or be eliminated due to its experimental  ability in accommodating a new winnowing, which is discovered. Sustained paradigm  will influence normal science as long as anomaly does not exist. The criteria of new  paradigm are neater, more suitable, simpler, and more elegant.

Abstract

The universal truth which is elaborated with liberalism, pluralism, rationalism, modernism, secularism, westernization, hedonism, and et cetera have become physiological striking forces against Muslim community in this modern era. Secular-liberalism has misconceived knowledge, religion, revelation, god and other keywords that define worldview on a civilization. Worldview is a value concept, motor of social change, foundation for understanding reality and scholarly activity, these all are found in Islam. The emergence of dichotomy thought in perceiving Islam in two ways; Islam-history, Islam normative, Islam liberal and Islam literal, objective and subjective truths, textual and contextual thinkings are worldview originated from West tradition. These approaches in turn will render difficulty to conceptualize epistemology of and authority in Islam. Ziauddin Sardar and Ali Syari’ati are two muslim scholars tying to develop the idea ofbuilding an islamic civilization, which is known as islamization of civilization. both reject the advance of west technology to help  progress of muslim society. Ismail Raji al-Faruqi even argues that the islamization of islamic civilization must be taken through islamizing the knowledge

Abstract

Thomas Kuhn memberikan gambaran bahwa kebenaran sains akan ditemukan berkali-kali ataupun berganti-ganti bentuk ilmiahnya walaupun dari satu objek yang sama. Formulasi teori paradigma yang mencetuskan bahwa sebuah kebenaran sains (legatimed truth) identik dalam target teleologis yang didasari pada detection dikenal sebagai final cause (end). Kebenaran sains bukan continuous (lanjutan), improvisasi, evolusi atau kumulatif, melainkan terjadi paradigm shift (pergeseran paradigma) atau disebut juga dengan revolusi. Paradigma melalui shift moving (pergerakan pergeseran) dipahami sama dengan gestalt switch (perpindahan secara keseluruhan atau tidak sama sekali). Di dalam gestalt switch yang diungkapkan adalah verifikasi terjadi sekaligus atau tidak sama sekali (all at once or not at all). Konsep paradigm shifts membuka kesadaran bersama bahwa para pengkaji sains tidak akan mungkin bekerja dalam suatu suasana objektivitas yang mapan. Paradigma men-design kerangka world view (pandangan dunia) atau perspective (cara pandang) untuk lebih important, legitimate, and reasonable. Hal ini membuat sebuah detection (target teleologis) tidak akan terevolusi atau tereleminir karena kemampuan eksperimentalnya mengakomodir counterinstances (ketahanan berkompetisi teori). Paradigma yang bertahan merupakan winnowing (keunggulan) baru dari sebuah discovery, supertitian (temuan besar) atau novelty (terbaharukan). Paradigma bertahan akan tumbuh menguasai normal science selama belum eksisnya anomaly (ketimpangan). Paradigma baru memiliki kriteria neater (rapi), more suitable (lebih cocok), simpler (sederhana), or more elegant (lebih elegan). Paradigma akan terusbertransformatif dengan paradigma baru karena sistem bekerja paradigma mengalihkan padigma menuju revolusi ilmiah di mana revolusi ilmiah dengan perubahan fundamental akan meresap dalam metode dan pemahaman.

Abstract

Western human rights based on the dimensions of humanity tha the Islamic Human Rights form fascinating mix between the rights and obligations to each other. There are concrete boundaries between human rights (ẖuqûq al-‘ibâd) and divine rights (ẖuqûq Allâh). Islam encompasses freedom rights that are free value (neutral) does not  violate the devine law and human law that acts between the permissible and the forbidden deeds to be classified in laghâ (in vain) including lâ‘ibun (fun), lahwun (filling time),  tala‘ub amr (command abandoned), and tathawu‘ (motivation goodness). The different- ces between Islam and Western human rights which its is anthropocentric and egocentric, and Islam is theocentric and laghâsentric. Laghâsentric can be defined as an act or behavior in which individuals have the freedom to choose an action object that does not carry a penalty

Abstract

History records since 1789 which lasted throughout the 19th century - were confronted by an important event full of chaos, the French Revolution - became the forerunner of human social distortions in dunua at that time. One side of the revolution demonstrate positive change and social order on the other side is going through a critical phase to be part concerns some scientists. However, who would have thought excessive attention and seriousness of the leading scientists cultivated by August Comte and Emile Durkheim. Ultimately leading trigger of Sociology and the validity of the methodology laid Sociology as a science. Who would have thought from then until now, to contribute to the presence of study Sociology partnership as; Political Sociology, Economic Sociology, Sociology of Law, Sociology of Religion, Sociology of Communication and so on. Not without reason that partnership Sociology is a solution of the situation and condition of polemics, discrimination, marginalized, alienation had stripped many aspects of life. Even for a man as the main mission of peace and compassion presenters also increasingly disoriented. It would need to design an alternative social science that is Sociology Propagation, scientific consists of scientific foundation; Sociology itself, the science of Communications and Propagation Studies.

Abstract

Several types of space were introduced Henri Lefebvres, among them, the absolute space which is created by God, covering its environment), the abstract space as a tool of power, the practice of power), the natural space which is green space that has a positive effect on the welfare and prosperity of the people. Finally, the differential space which is the more diffuse space (merging of space) in order to restore the unity of people in it. From some space concepts according to Lefebvre, it appears that the construction of the mega project of Simpang Surabaya Fly Over cost up to Rp 250 billion from the Central Goverment (Jakarta) -has 850 meters in length and divided into 8 stretches targeted to be done by December 2017 -as the reproduction of space which belongs to abstract space. It is proven that after several months of construction starting in August 2016, a number of shops and micro businesses (such as tollers, sandal and shoes traders, snack vendors on the sidewalks) began to close. Responding to these conditions, it is deserved to be called urban demolition. The term urban demolition is the situation or condition of the destruction of the poor (micro entrepreneurs). Ultimately, spatial practice (space) of development is supposedly served as the abstract space fosters the system of capitalism, the recognition of the status of the elite class, the widespread commodities consumed, the supernatural economic base and politically important. This article raises one important issue,, what is the actual practice of spatial arrangement formed in the case of the construction of the mega project of Simpang Surabaya Fly Over Banda Aceh. Secondly, the construction of Simpang Surabaya Fly Over and Simpang Beurawe Underpass make the local government more aligned to the public (the people of Aceh) or precisely to the capitalist / industrial investors. The two problems are analyzed using socio-spatial approach where the research uses qualitative approach descriptively. In short, this study tries to trace the usefulness of the reduced space into a quandary space in its construction between constructive and deconstructive. Keywords: Construction, Spatial, City, Urban

Abstract

Kehadiran tempat tinggal baru disebabkan faktor bencana alam, dengan orang menempatinya berasal dari beragam suku dan profesi, pada dasarnya interaksi sosial rentan mengalami kesulitanmenimbulkan perselisihan, persengketaan dan bahkan berujung pada konflik. Adapun artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apa saja proses penyesuaian diri di perumahan jacky chan. Metode dalam penelitian ini kualitatif dengan pemilihan beberapa informan di dalamnya menggunakan teknik Snow Ball dan teori menggunakan teori konstruksi sosial dari Peter Berger dan Thomas Luckmann. Maka hasil penelitiannya diperoleh bahwa Interaksi; Praktik Keagamaan  (Wirid, Tahlilan, Dzikir), kegiatan sosial (gotong royong, menjenguk orang sakit dan ibu melahirkan), dan toleransi sosial beragama.Kata Kunci: Adaptasi, Interaksi, Konstruksi Sosial, Toleransi
