Penyelenggaraan program Inovasi Keaksaraan untuk Pemberdayaan dan Pemberantasan Buta Aksara dilaksanakan untuk: a. Mencapai target percepatan penuntasan buta aksara sesuai target Inpres Nomor 5 tahun 2006, sehingga proporsi penduduk buta aksara berusia 15 tahun ke atas adalah paling banyak 5 persen. b. Meningkatkan perluasan akses pendidikan keaksaraan (tingkat dasar) bagi penduduk buta aksara usia 15 tahun ke atas melalui peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan, sehingga memiliki kemampuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraannya. c. Memberikan penguatan keaksaraan bagi sasaran program pendidikan keaksaraan. d. Meningkatkan indeks pembangunan  manusia Indonesia secara nasional, melalui peningkatan angka melek aksara penduduk di setiap kabupaten/kota. e. Meningkatkan motivasi dan komitmen pemerintah daerah untuk mendukung program pendidikan keaksaraan dengan mengembangkan inovasi keaksaraan sesuai potensi dan karakteristik daerah setempat. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam pelaksanaan program ini adalah: (1) Tercapainya target percepatan penuntasan buta aksara sesuai dengan  target Inpres Nomor 5 tahun 2006 melalui dukungan perguruan tinggi dan lembaga/organisasi mitra; (2) Meningkatnya akses pelayanan program pendidikan keaksaraan bagi penduduk buta aksara usia 15 tahun ke atas khususnya bagi perempuan, sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan, sekaligus untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraannya; (3) Menguatnya keberaksaraan penduduk melalui penyelenggaraan program pendidikan keaksaraan; (4) Meningkatnya angka melek aksara penduduk di Kabupaten Enrekang, sehingga menyumbang peningkatan indeks pembangunan manusia Indonesia; dan (5) Meningkatnya motivasi dan komitmen lembaga/organisasi penyelenggara di Kabupaten Enrekang untuk mendukung program pendidikan keaksaraan, dan berkembangnya layanan program berupa inovasi keaksaraan sesuai potensi dan karakteristik daerah.

This research was classroom action research, which aims at improving students motivation of their poor performance through learning model Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) on VII.3 grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Parepare. Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) can serve individual student differences by adjusting treatment or learning method with students abilities. The use of this model was emphasizing to create small groups of students that have achievement alike. Students with have low academic achievement based on test results and teacher interview will be grouped into one group and will be given preferential treatment by tutoring intensity rather than the group of high academic achievement. Subjects of this research were students of class VII.3 SMP Negeri 6 Parepare which is consist of 25 students. This research was conducted in two cycles. The procedure of this research involved four phases: (1) planning, (2) Implementation of action, (3) observation, (4) Reflection. The data collection was done by observation, tests, and questionnaires for each cycle after giving treatment through learning model Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI). Data collected were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of this research indicate that the Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) can be an alternative method to improve learning motivation of low achievement students. The results of this research also showed that the Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) can be an alternative to problem-solving in the classroom, especially for low achievement students.

Nowadays internet becomes the most popular information’s source that people use to find information needed. However, it is very crucial that it serves advantages and disadvantages as well.  In this study, the researcher focused on verifying internet disadvantages regarding to its negative effect on leraners’ behaviour. This study was conducted at the Department of English Education, Faculty of Teachers Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Parepare utilizing questionnaire, involving the second and fourth semester Learners as the population.  The  samples  were  determined  based  on  simple  random  sampling  in  which  every individual in the population had an equal chance to be chosen as a sample. Findings indicated that most of the learners less creativity, internet addict, violation and plagiarism. Most of the Learners revealed that they prefer to copy data from internet than paste it to fulfill their assignment without editing. However, internet also becomes their alternative learning source better than other learning media. On the contrary, they thought library is not effective to overcome their obstacles in learning.  Lack of idea, attention and brainstorming are considered as some of the causes. Role of lecturer and the used of plagiarism checker software are recommended, as well as the use of citation and reference software.

Community Empowerment Program of Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (LAPAS) Class II.B Parepare isa program which aims to improve the skills, talents and professionalism of the prisoner inaccordance with their talents, interests, physical and mental development, and the potential of theirenvironment as a means to work in improving the peoples economy and alleviating poverty aswell as improving the quality of prisoners’ life. Our empowerment program which wasimplemented in the LAPAS class II.B Parepare includes; processing of patchwork, Sewing courseand screen printing. The objectives of the three programs are; 1). As a skill that can provide asource of income as long as they are in LAPAS, 2) To provide additional skills for the prisoners asa provision for entrepreneurship later when they are free from LAPAS. The Implementation ofCommunity Empowerment Program of LAPAS Class II. B Parepare begins with anentrepreneurial Seminar then followed by a patchwork processing training that includes themanufacturing of a doormat and pin point storage, sewing and screen printing courses.
