Abstract

Gunung Rinjani National Park (TNGR) is nature conservation area located in West Nusa Tenggara. Kembang Kuning Resort is one of the TNGR‘s resorts under Territory Management Section (SPW) II East Lombok which has high potential for biological diversity which one of them is aromatic plants. Aromatic plants are plants that produce essential oils. dentify the diversity of aromatic plant species, and ethnobotany aromatic plants in communities around the area. The methods used are the vegetation analysis, terpenoid phytochemicals test and interviews. The results of the vegetation analysis found 47 species from 28 families of aromatic plants including six widely known species and 41 potential species. The widely known species which are the species that used by the community, have economic value, and there have been many studies related to these species, while potential aromatic plants are plants that have been tested phytochemical and positively have terpenoids but have not had the market value and not widely known by the community. Aromatic plants are used as medicine for both external diseases and internal diseases, religious rituals and beliefs, pesticides, cooking spices, and fragrances. Keywords: aromatic, diversity, ethnobotany, plants, species

Abstract

The study aimed to study the effect of protein and total digestible nutrients on performance of female Garut lambs. A total of 20 female Garut lambs aged 7-8 months at averaged body weight 15.72 ± 1.33 kg were allocated randomly into four treatment diets with different crude protein and total digestible nutrients ratios. The treatments were: T1 = 11.53%:63.13%; T2 = 10.78%:70.06%; T3 = 13.54%:63.18%; and T4 = 13.67%:69.18%. Each treatment was replicated five times. The research was conducted experimentally for 12 weeks and the collected data were analyzed by Duncan’s multiple range test. The dry matter intake was significantly (p<0.05) higher in the treatments of T1 (707.70 g/d), T2 (677.71 g/d) and T4 (687.91 g/d) compared to T3 (587.01 g/d). The highest (p<0.05) average daily gain and the smallest (p<0.05) feed conversion ratio were significantly obtained by T4 (89.88 g/d and 7.75). Dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility was significantly (p<0.05) greater for T2 (63.93% and 64.10%) and T4 (59.73% and 65.14%) compared to T1 (49.98% and 55.34%) and T3 (44.68% and 50.60%) treatments. Based on the results, it can be concluded that T4 or the diet containing 13.67% crude protein and 69.18% total digestible nutrients yielded the best performance.

Abstract

Introduction: Fatigue that felt by diabetes melitus patient will be a barrier when doing self-management. An ineffectiveness of self-management will affect many complications, either macrovascular and microvascular. Objective: The goal of this research is determine the relation of fatigue and self-management of diabetes melitus type 2. Method: The design of this research is using observative correlative with cross – sectional way. There are 102 research samples obtained from the calculation G*Power. The methode of taking the data doing with way to gather use with Multidemensional Fatigue Inventory (MFI20) questionnaire and Diabetes Self-Management (DSMQ) that has tested validity and realibility for analyze the fatigue and self-management. The data from analyzed using spearman rank (α = 0,05). Results: Research’s result average of respondent showed that general fatigue (15,66), physical fatigue (13,8), reduced activity (12,44), reduced motivation (11,01), mental fatigue (11,37). Patient self-management showed if from 102 respondent in majority has good self-management 86 (84.3%) dan 15 (14,7%) the rest of respondent has enough – good. The second analyzed test showed that no relation that significant between fatigue and self-management. Abstract

Glaucoma is a neuro-optic disease characterized by an increase of IOP and progressive and incurable. Most cases of glaucoma do not show initial symptoms until there is a decrease in vision to blindness. This visual impairment can have an impact on the individual's ability to doing daily activities and will affect the quality of life-related to the visual function. This study aims to analyze the quality of life (vision function) in glaucoma patients at dr. Soebandi hospital, Baladhika Husada hospital, and Bina Sehat hospital in Jember Regency. The type of research is descriptive quantitative. 73 respondents were obtained by purposive sampling technique. Data collection using the Glaucoma Quality of Life 15 questionnaire. Data analysis using univariate. The results of the study were 47 respondents (64.4%) had a good quality of life and 26 respondents (35.6%) had a poor quality of life. In conclusion, the quality of life (vision function) of glaucoma patients is in a good category. This means that respondents can still do their daily activities independently with the help of glasses or not. The implication of this research is that nurses act as educators and counselors to provide all information about glaucoma and determine further planning to help improve patients' quality of life.

Abstract

This study developed a teacher book guide for photoelectric effects instructional using the Predict Observe Explain strategy with PhET interactive simulation. This study used the ADDIE Model consisting of Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation and Evaluation. The results of the validation component of the graphics feasibility were 91.1 (very feasible), the validation of the content feasibility component was 97.5 (very feasible), and the validation of the instructional feasibility component was 81.7 (very feasible). While the test component of instructional feasibility by the teacher obtained results of 85.9 (very feasible). The results concluded that the teacher book guide for photoelectric effects instructional using the Predict Observe Explain strategy with PhET interactive simulation was declared very feasible to be used as a teacher guidebook.

Abstract

The high prevalence of HIV-AIDS can lead to a decrease of productive age number in Indonesia. This problem can be attributed to the risk to high school adolescent, as one of the risk group for HIV-AIDS infection. This infection risk can be declined by health education. Quantum learning is the appropriate education method for adolescent. This study aims to identify the attitude of high school teenager in preventing HIV-AIDS before and after quantum learning intervention. The research method was pre-experimental research using one group pre and post test design. Sample was selected using probability sampling method and stratified random sampling technique. The sample were 39 students. The Data analyzed usedwilcoxon test with α< 0,05. The result showed were the attitude in preventing HIV-AIDS before intervention was 21 person (53,8%) positive attitude and 18 person (46,2%) negative attitude while the attitude in preventing HIV-AIDS after intervention was 31 person (79,5%) positive attitude and 8 person (20,5%) negative attitude. There was a significant attitude in preventing HIV-AIDS of adolescent at Miftahul Ulum Suren Islamic senior High School change (p=0,004, 95% CI) after quantum learning intervention. Based on the findings, it is imperative to improve attitude on HIV-AIDS prevention factors of senior high school teenager. It is also important to improve guided supervision and conseling ability from teacher. Keywords : to prevent HIV/AIDS, attitude, adolescent, quantum learning.

Abstract

Anxiety is a condition where individual or group has anxious feeling (estimate/opinion) and the act of nervous system to respond a vague threat,non-spesific.This research uses Pre-Experiment design with a frame of Pre-Post Test design without control,purpose to identify the influence of therapheutic communication toward the decrease of patient’s anxiety level for Pre-Operation patients cured in Surgery Room RSU in Jember Regency using Consecutive Sampling technigue. The intervention process uses introduction of analytical therapheutic communikative intraction process. A result of the process applies on regres test on which t calculation is much bigger than t table, that is 4,479 > 2,093. In conclusion, every Pre-operation patient has anxiety, and therapheutic communication give meaningful and significant influence to decrease Pre-operation of patient’s anxiety level. As remmendation, in this research, the therapheutic communication done well will be able to decrease patien’s anxiety level so it must be applied in nursing service especially Pre-operation. Abstract

Anxiety will appear on the family in caring family member who suffers from cataract. Family psychoeducation therapy can help reduce anxiety, so that families can find a solution for family members who suffer from cataracts appropriately. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of family psychoeducation therapy (FPE) on the anxiety level of family whose member suffers from cataract. This study was pre-experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique was total sampling. There were 16 families of cataract patients living in the area of public health center of Jelbuk Jember participated in this research. Data collection was conducted in March 2016. FPE was given four times a week with a total of 12 times in 3 weeks and the duration was 60 minutes for each session. Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (ZSAS) was applied to measure anxiety level. The result of data analysis using Kruskal Wallis test showed p value of 0.001 (α=0.05). There was a significant influence of family psychoeducation (FPE) therapy on the anxiety level of family whose member suffers from cataract. Psychoeducation therapy can increase knowledge and empowerment of families in caring for family members who suffer from cataracts. FPE consists of activities that can improve family adaptive functioning and skills of positive coping mechanisms. Psychoeducation therapy can be applied to families to lower the anxiety level from burden experienced in caring family members who suffer from cataracts.

Abstract

This research aimed to study the effect of protein and energy on nutrient digestibility of female Garut sheep’s diet. About 20 heads of female Garut sheep with average body weight 15.72 ± 1.33 kg, allocated into 4 different treatment diets of different protein to TDN (energy) ration i.e. R1=11.53%:63.13%; R2=10.78%:70.06%; R3=13.54%:63.18%; and R4=13.67:69.18%. A completely randomized design was used and the collected data was analyzed with Duncan’s test. The results showed that crude protein and fiber digestibilities of R2 and R4 were higher (P<0.05) than that of R1 and R3, whereas nitrogen free extract and extract ether digestibilities did not have any different among all of treatments. It is concluded that protein to energy ratio of 10.78%:70.06% and 13.67%:69.18% gave the higher diet nutrient digestibility than that of other diets.

Abstract

Glaucoma was an eye disorder characterized by increased pressure on the eyeball, optic nerve opticatrophy and diminution of the visual field. Clients' knowledge towards glaucoma was important tohave such an early detection. It was done to avoid the blindness causes of glaucoma. The objectivesof this research were to analyze the correlation between knowledge with prevention efforts glaucomadisease in the area of Jenggawah clinical. This research was used in observational analytic designwith cross sectional approach. A total of 39 respondents obtained by purposive sampling technique.The data analysis that used was Spearman correlation test with significance level 0,05. The resultswas showed that the average value of knowledge level was 17.49 and the average at preventioneffort of glaucoma disease was 75.03. There was a significant relationship between the level ofknowledge with prevention efforts glaucoma disease (p value = 0.001, r = 0.600). There were astrong and positive correlation which means the higher in the level of knowledge that made a goodprevention of glaucoma disease. This study showed that the importance of providing knowledgeabout glaucoma disease to increase prevention of glaucoma disease in risky clientsKeywords: client is at risk, knowledge level, prevention of glaucoma disease
