Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the amount of litter production in the traditional Forest District of Jake Village, Kuantan Singingi Regency and produce a learning handout design on ecosystem material in class X high school. The research took place in April-May 2019. The study consisted of two stages, namely the analysis stage of average forest litter production and the handout design stage. The stage of field data collection was carried out with descriptive research, data collection by survey methods, determination of sampling points by purposive random sampling. The parameters in this research are the composition of Jake Indigenous Forest Littering Forest and the supporting parameters in the form of environmental factors that affect litter production. The results of the study were obtained by calculating the production of Jake Indigenous Forest Prohibition Litter to meet the needs of organic materials needed in the forest ecosystem. Based on an analysis of the potential results of the research, a handout of biogeneemical cycle material was designed for Biology learning in high school grade XKey Words: Litter fall, Forest, Handout

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop the Student Worksheet (LKPD) based onscience literacy for seniorhigh school gradeX of the topic of biodiversityin April-December 2019. The research was conducted in twoplaces, namely to Strudent Worksheetvalidation was conducted at the FKIP UNRI Biology Education Campus and Student Worksheetlimited trials were conducted at SMAN 1 Pekanbaru. This type of research refers to the R&D research approach using the ADDIE model developed by Dick and Carry. The subject of this research is the subject matter of Biology inseniorhigh school gradeX KD 3.2. The developed LKPD consisted of3meetings with a time allocation of 1 meetingfor 45 minutes. The parameters of this study include the results of the validation of the development of student worksheetby the validatorand respon assesment by student. The assessment is doing withvalidation sheet and a questionnaire. Data analysis is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of this study indicate that student worksheetthat have been developed are in the very valid category with an average score of all aspects of 3.53. The value of the answers to all aspects the valueof the results of a limited trial phase I and stage II in all aspects obtained an average score of 3.39 with a very good category. Based on the results of the validation, the results of the first trial, the results of the second trial and the revisions that have been made,student worksheet is good and feasible to be used as a reference at school learning to increase students knowledge and understanding for the topic of biodiversity.KeyWords: Student Worksheets, Science Literacy, Biodiversity

Abstract

Abstract:This study aims to be used as a source of information about the composition and structure of the palnton community as a bio-indicator of water quality in the Indragiri River. The study was conducted in the Indragiri River, Kuantan Singingi Regency from May to June 2019. The parameters measured were biological parameters and physical chemical parameters of the waters. This research is a descriptive study consisting of research stagein the field and poster design stage. The study was conducted in 5 stations with a purpose random sampling technique, while data collection was carried out using a survey method. The method in this study consists of 2 stages, In the study of Media Poster design using the Addie model which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results of this study indicate that the composition of phytoplankton in theIndragiri River was found in 5 classes, 23 species and 333 individuals. While the zooplankton composition in the Indragiri River found 5 classes, 8 species and 35 individuals. The highest phytoplankton composition was Closterium kuetzingii with a proportion of 8.11% and the highest zooplankton composition was Nebelia cartosi at 28.57%. The highest abundance of plankton was found at station I, the highest index of plankton species richness was found in stations I and III, the highest plankton evenness indexwas found in stations I and V, the highest plankton diversity index was found at station I. While the plankton dominance index at all stations was low or close zero.Key Words: Fitoplankton, Zooplankton, Kualitas Perairan

Abstract

Oil palm plantations at peatland are faced with problems of land degraded, low productivity and produced to green house gas (GRG) emission.The objectives of this study were to land clearing effect of peatlands and to identified factors that affect the peatlands in the biophysicalcharacteristics. This study was conducted on District Bengkalis-Riau at marine and brakish peat. The data was collected using field survey anddocumentation. The descriptive analysis was used to determine biophysical characteristics and linier regresion was used to corelation performimportant factors. The research results showed that the biophysical characteristics of peatland experienced changes in the horizon profile,peat thickness, decomposition level, moisture content, ash content, pH, C-organic and biomass. The secondary peat swamp forest ofbiophysical characteristics have to different in the horizon profile, peat thickness, decomposition level, moisture content, ash content, pH,C-organic and biomass compared with marine and brackish peat.

Abstract

The development of the palm oil industry in Indonesia is growing rapidly, including the increasing number of palm oil processing factories and their liquid waste which has an impact on increasing the amount of greenhouse gases through methane gas. This research was conducted to determine the strategy in utilizing the effluent palm oil mill as a sustainable energy source in the palm oil mill of PT. MSSP of Siak Regency. Utilization of palm oil mill effluent as biogas fuel is carried out using covered lagoon reactor pond technology and serves to reduce the emission value of 1,365.90 tons of CH4 during 2019 and to function in economic efficiency from the use of sustainable energy or biogas for companies by Rp. 8,109,598,450 and socially functioning for employees and the community around PT. MSSP is a positive perception, both in lightening the work of employees and reducing the will in community settlements. The strategy carried out in the utilization of palm oil mill effluent as a sustainable energy source at PT. MSSP aims at good and proper management and application. The strategy was formulated in the SWOT analysis by compiling strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the application of the utilization of palm oil mill effluent as a sustainable energy source.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa pada standar kompetensi sistem starter dan pengisian di SMK Taman Karya Madya Teknik Kebumen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI TKR 12 B SMK Taman Karya Madya Teknik Kebumen, yang berjumlah 21 siswa terdiri dari 20 siswa laki?laki dan 1 siswa perempuan. Faktor yang diteliti yaitu keaktifan siswa dan hasil belajar siswa. Data yang diperoleh berupa data kuantitatif dalam bentuk persentase. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dapat meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini ditandai dengan meningkatnya persentase keaktifan siswa pada setiap siklusnya. Persentase keaktifan siswa pada observasi awal sebesar 80,42 % meningkat menjadi 86,67 % pada siklus I, dan menjadi 90,42 % pada siklus II.  Hasil belajar juga mengalami peningkatan dari nilai rerata pada data awal  sebesar  66,22 meningkat  menjadi 85,25  pada siklus I dan 88,45 pada siklus II. Dari hasil belajar juga diketahui persentase siswa yang lulus mencapai nilai kriteria ketuntasan minimal mencapai 100% dari jumlah siswa.     Kata Kunci : Keaktifan, Hasil belajar,  TGT

Abstract

Penelitian  ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas dan hasil belajar melalui pembelajaran kooperatif tipe time token. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas XE SMAN 3 Muaro Jambi. Instrument pengumpulan data  menggunakan lembar observasi siswa dan guru selama kegiatan proses serta tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitas siswa dari siklus I yaitu, 68,37% menjadi 71,75% pada siklus II dan 74,06% pada siklus III.  Hasil belajar siswa  pada siklus yaitu, 63,03 untuk siklus I menjadi 70,00 untuk siklus II dan 76,86  untuk siklus III.  Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Time Token dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi suhu dan kalor di Kelas XE SMA Negeri 3 Muaro Jambi.

Abstract

Application of Guided Inquiry Learning Model to Improve Student Competency in Biology Learning at SMAN 2 XIII Koto Kampar. The classroom action research was motivated by the low competence of students in aspects of attitudes, knowledge and skills. The purpose of this study was to determine improving student competence of grouping plant in class X IPA 2 SMAN 2 XIII Koto Kampar through the application of guided inquiry learning model. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This study begins with a pre cycle before the cycle I. Subjects were 26 students of SMAN 2 X IPA 2 class XIII Koto Kampar. Data obtained using the competency attitude instrument observation sheet of religious and social attitudes, including: faithful, honest, discipline, cooperation, tolerance and mutual cooperation. A knowledge data was collected with quiz and test questions at the end of the cycle.  The skills data was collected with observation sheets of practices and product. The results showed an increase in the competence of the students after the applied application of guided inquiry learning model. An increase in the average value of attitude competence of the first cycle of 3.15 and the second cycle of 3.49. The competence of knowledge showed an increase from the first cycle of students who pass as many as 22 people (84.62%) in the second cycle students who pass as many as 24 people (92.31%), while competence of skills to practice skills in the first cycle of 3.16, and the second cycle of 3.30. And then, product skills in the first cycle of 3.04 increased in the second cycle of 3.30.Keywords: Grouping Plants, Guided Inquiry, Student Competence

Abstract

Abstract : Changes in environment and human activities now is one of the causes of water pollution in various waters such as rivers, lakes, reservoirs and at sea. This study aims to determine the quality of Rangau River waters based on the plankton community indicator. The study was conducted in October 2017 - January 2018 along the Rangau River and was identified in the FKIP Biology laboratory of the University of Riau. The results of the study were integrated to design the handouts. Determination of research station purpose random sampling by setting 8 stations and 3 random sampling. Biological parameters observed were species composition, abundance, fairness index, species richness index, dominance index, and diversity index. Physical-chemical parameters measured are temperature, pH, brightness, current strength, DO, CO, BOD and COD. Data were analyzed descriptively. Based on soil analysis obtained composition type fitoplankton consists of 19 species and composition of type zooplankton consist of 4 species. The result of the analysis of phytoplankton abundance value is quite high compared to zooplankton. Based on the phytoplankton diversity index, the waters quality of Rangau River is classified as mild-moderate. While the index of zooplankton diversity shows the quality waters of the Rangau River classified as medium-heavy. And the result of measurement of physical chemistry factor of water exceeds quality standard with water quality criterion based on BOD, Rangau River classified as mild. Result of research of Rangau River water quality is used as material of material handout design of environmental change precisely water pollution.Keywords: Plankton, river water quality, physic-chemical water factor, handout.
