Abstract

This research aims to know the effect of using virtual laboratorial towards concept mastery and creative thinking ability of students on the material of vibrations and waves. This research is an experimental research that uses pretest-postest control group design. The population of this research is all grade VIII students of SMPN 1 Alas Barat in the academic year 2013/2014 and the sample of this research is grade VIII3 as experimental group and VIII4 as control group that determined by cluster random sampling technique. The instrument thet used to collect the data is test that made in terms of multiple choices and essay test. The data is analysed by statistical formula of N-Gain and t-test. The result of N-Gain of experimental group concepts mastery is 0,5% and control group is 0,2%. Meanwhile, the result of N-Gain of experimental group creative thinking ability is 0,3% and control group is 0,1%. The resultof t-test shows that tobtined of concepts mastery is 1,877 ≥ ttable is 1,671. Whereas, for creative thinking ability shows that tobtined is 1,998 ≥ ttable is 1,671. It means that there is a difference of concept mastery and creative thinking ability of students on the material of vibrations and waves. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of virtual laboratorial has an effect towards concept mastery and creative thinking ability of students on the material of vibrations and waves.

Abstract

Kota Mataram merupakan ibu kota Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat, memiliki letak yang sangat strategis sebagai pusat pemerintahan, pendidikan, perdagangan, industri, dan jasa. Saat ini, Mataram sedang dikembangkan oleh Pemerintah Daerah setempat untuk menjadi kota pariwisata. Keadaan topografi dan curah hujan yang cukup baik di wilayah ini memberikan potensi ketersediaan air resapan tanah yang memadai untuk dikembangkannya budidaya perikanan darat dan pembenihan beberapa varietas tanaman untuk memperindah tampilan kota. Sembalun merupakan salah satu lingkungan yang berada di Kota Mataram. Salah satu potensi lingkungan yang dapat dimanfaatkan adalah ketersediaan air tanah dan curah matahari untuk pengembangan kebun perikanan dan tumbuhan atau botanical garden fishery. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi sistem solar cell atau sel surya sangat dimungkinkan untuk dilakukan instalasi hibrid antara perikanan dan pertanian secara berkesinambungan dalam area model. Alur pekerjaan dibagi kedalam tiga bagian besar, yaitu persiapan, pembekalan, dan pelaksanaan. Pada tahap persiapan meliputi: verifikasi mahasiswa peserta KKN-PPM sebanyak 30 orang sesuai prosedur di LPPM IKIP Mataram, sosialisasi program kepada masyarakat, dan survei lokasi instalasi solar cell garden fishery. Pada tahap pembekalan mahasiswa diberikan pemahaman tentang teknik identifikasi potensi lokal, etika komunikasi dan manajemen konflik, wiring diagram atau diagram pengkawatan, ilmu konstruksi dasar, serta strategi penyusunan program dan evaluasi mengacu standar JKEM yaitu 144 jam/mahasiswa. Pembekalan mahasiswa dilaksanakan oleh LPPM IKIP Mataram bermitra dengan pakar dalam bidang terkait. Sedangkan tahap pelaksanaan meliputi: (1) analisa titik lokasi instalasi dengan mengamati potensi air tanah, lintasan curah matahari, dan faktor keamanan atau safety; (2) analisa dan pemilihan biota air dan tanaman yang cocok dengan lingkungan; (3) survei spesifikasi material penunjang konstruksi melalui studi literatur, observasi, dan eksperimen; (4) instalasi solar cell garden fishery, meliputi instalasi sumur bor, instalasi kolam, dan instalasi solar cell; (5) menyusun laporan kegiatan serta publikasi melalui jurnal pengabdian masyarakat Lumbung Inovasi IKIP Mataram. Kegiatan KKN-PPM ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan, sejak tanggal 1 Juni hingga 31 Agustus 2016. Hingga artikel ini ditulis, program KKN-PPM telah tuntas 85%. Tahapan lanjutan yang belum diselesaikan adalah pelepasan ikan dan agenda wisata kuliner produk ikan oleh ibu-ibu PKK di lokasi instalasi solar cell garden fishery.

Abstract

Blended learning is basically a combination or mixture found in learning practice. Blended learning is a further development of the e-learning method, namely learning methods that combine e-learning systems with conventional or face-to-face methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of the models and learning devices both in terms of content and model constructs, as well as to find out student responses to the model developed. The model developed was validated through a forum mechanism, namely, focus group discussion (FGD) which was followed by researchers and experts. The suggestions and improvements generated from the validation activities were then followed up to revise the Inquiry Collaborative Tutorial-based blended learning model. Inquiry Collaborative Tutorial-based blended learning model and learning devices developed in this study have met valid criteria in content and construct. Valid content because there are elements of need and novelty, as well as valid constructs because there is consistency between parts of the model and there is relevance between the models developed with learning theories that underlie it. In general, the average student responds positively to the blended learning model based on the Inquiry Collaborative Tutorial. The model applied is considered to provide opportunities for students to actively participate.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis moodle untuk perkuliahan Fisika Dasar. Penelitian dilakukan dengan model pengembangan 4D selama dua tahun. Tahun pertama, penelitian terfokus pada pengembangan platform moodle melalui fase define, design, dan develop. Tahun kedua dilakukan penyempurnaan dengan revalidasi produk dan diseminasi. Pengembangan desain platform moodle dilakukan secara offline dan online menggunakan software moodle versi 2.0. Pengembangan secara offline dilakukan untuk mengatur story board, page navigation, profile setting, administration settings, dan management course setting. Pengembangan secara online dilakukan agar pembelajaran fisika dasar dapat diakses di manapun sehingga mahasiswa dapat belajar lebih mudah dan fleksibel. Hasil pengembanga divalidasikan kepada pakar pembelajaran dan diujicobakan kepada mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data respon dilakukan lewat angket dan tes dan hasilnya dianalisis dengn statistik deskriptif. Hasil validasi pakar untuk silabus, SAP, dan kelayakan ketiganya masuk kategori sangat baik/layak sehingga dapat dinyatakan layak untuk digunakan untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran. mahasiswa juga memberikan respon yang positif terhadap media yang dikembangkan. Kata Kunci: media pembelajaran, moodle, fisika dasarDEVELOPING MOODLE-BASED LEARNING MEDIA FOR BASIC PHYSICS Abstract: This research developsa moodle-based learning media for Basic Physics lecture. It was conducted using 4D development model and took place for 2 years. The first year was focused on developing the moodle platform through defining, designing, and developing phases. The second year was focused on refinement, revalidation, and dissemination. Thedesign of the moodle platform was developed offline and online using moodle software version 2.0. The offline process comprised designing story boards, page navigation, profile settings, administration settings, and management course settings. The platform was then made online so that Basic Physics learning can be accessed anywhere by students easily and flexibly. The results of the development and field tests show that the developed product is feasible to support the learning process. Students respond positively to the moodle-based media. Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku ajar Fisika Dasar I yang berbasis self regulated learning yang dapat memotivasi mahasiswa di dalam belajar mandiri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Development and Research dengan mengadopsi tahapan model pengembangan 4D yaitu  Define (pendefinisian), Design (perancangan),  Develop (pengembangan) dan disseminate (penyebarluasan). Tahap Define dilakukan untuk menentukan karakteristik produk buku ajar yang dikembangkan melalui studi pendahuluan. Pemilihan format pembuatan buku ajar dilakukan pada tahap Design untuk menghasilkan draft I. Tahap Develop dilakukan untuk menghasilkan draft II, draft III, dan produk akhir dari buku ajar yang dikembangkan. Draft II diperoleh melalui hasil revisi validasi ahli yang direkomendasikan. Draft III merupakan hasil yang diperoleh dari uji kelompok kecil diambil secara random. Produk akhir pengembangan diperoleh dari hasil uji lapangan pada mahasiswa yang sedang menempuh mata kuliah Fisika Dasar I. Hasil validasi buku ajar serta perangkat pendukungnya menunjukkan kriteria “sangat layak” untuk digunakan serta dapat memotivasi belajar mahasiswa secara mandiri

Abstract

Science process skills are one of the indicators to know the level of achievement of physics teaching goals. This research examines the influence of guided inquiry models through virtual laboratories on students' science process skills. The research was a quasi-experiment conducted at the senior high school in Mataram, Lombok. The samples were class XI students, as many as 58 people divided into two sample groups: experimental and control groups. The guided inquiry model through the virtual laboratory was applied to the experimental group and the conventional model for the control group. The instrument used was a performance sheet. A t-test was used to analyze the effect of learning model on science process skill. The results of this study found that the achievement of science process skills for the experimental group was higher than the control group. The guided inquiry models through virtual laboratory have a significant effect on science process skills, especially on skills: hypothesizing, practicing, and communicating. These findings contribute significantly to the current knowledge about the effectiveness of guided inquiry models through virtual laboratories to improve students' science process skills in physics teaching.

Abstract

Problem-solving is a high-level ability to find solution to a problem. In the problem-solving process, students have to identify and understand the problems, plan the solutions, execute the plans and review the resolution process. This ability is needed by students to produce meaningful knowledge. This article discusses the effect of virtual labs in physics learning toward student’s problem-solving abilities. The improvement of problem-solving skills was analyzed in each step of the solution process. This quasi-experimental study was conducted at three different senior high schools. There were 165 students participating in this study, all of whom were divided into three experimental groups and three control groups. The research instrument used was five to eight questions of essay test. The results showed that the problem-solving ability of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group at each school. The analysis of each problem-solving step showed that, in each school, the students' ability to identify and define the problem and also to establish goals and objectives show a similar result. Students have an excellent ability in identifying problem up to plan for problem-solving, whereas for the step of analyzing the choice of ideas and step to follow up of problem-solving overall still need to be improved. Students who are unable to complete a particular problem-solving step will not be able to complete the next step well.

Abstract

Assessment is an essential part of learning. The success of a lesson can be known from the results of the assessment carried out both in aspects of the process and product. Some problems related to conventional assessments have to find the right solution. One of them is through the use of computer technology in assessment, which can be used both online and offline in a model better known as e-assessment. The final goal of this research is to produce an e-assessment model that is oriented to the thinking ability of the physics teacher candidates. This research includes development research, using the DDD-E model, namely: decide, design, develop, and evaluate. This article discusses the responses of students and lecturers to the models that have been developed. Respondents gave a positive response to the development of this model. Student responses are at intervals of 86% to 94%, with excellent categories. This model has the opportunity to continue to be developed for evaluation effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to develop learning media based on Moodle to determine the effect on the ability to think creatively prospective physics teachers in the IKIP Mataram. This research includes the development of research that is carried out through four stages to Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The subject of the study focused on students in the Department of Physics Education in FPMIPA IKIP Mataram who are following the lecture Physics II, Academic Year 2015/2016. The instrument used in the research is test the ability of creative thinking, observation sheets, questionnaires and interview guidelines. This study was conducted over two years in 2015 and 2016. In the first year of development, has been completed by the design development phase with the final result of the product development media of Moodle that has been validated. The tests showed that the media deserves to be tested. Outcomes achieved in the first year it generates Moodle-based software modifications, publication of scientific articles about the national ISSN Moodle-based learning media, resulting draft teaching materials, and the latter resulting guidebook use of Moodle for faculty and students. In the second year the tests on a wide scale to the results moodle media products that have been developed in the first year on material Basic Physics II. The last stage in this research is the evaluation stage to see the response of students to the media developed. The results of the analysis we concluded that students give positive response to the design, roles, and ease of use Moodle-based learning media in teaching Physics II. Key Word: Media Based onMoodle, Creative Thingking Skills. Abstrak. Tujuan dari penelitian yaitu untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis moodle untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif calon guru fisika di IKIP Mataram. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian pengembangan yang dilakukan melalui empat tahapan yaitu, Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Subyek penelitian difokuskan pada mahasiswa pada Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika di FPMIPA IKIP Mataram yang sedang mengikuti perkuliahan Fisika Dasar II pada Semester Genap Tahun Akademik 2015/2016. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif, lembar observasi, angket, dan pedoman wawancara. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 2 tahun, yaitu pada tahun 2015 dan tahun 2016. Pada tahun pertama pengembangan, telah diselesaikan hingga tahap pengembangan desain dengan hasil akhir berupa produk pengembangan media moodle yang telah divalidasi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media layak untuk diujikan. Luaran yang dicapai pada tahun pertama dihasilkannya modifikasi software berbasis moodle, dipublikasikannya artikel ilmiah nasional ber-ISSN tentang media pembelajaran berbasis moodle, dihasilkannya draft bahan ajar, dan terakhir dihasilkannya buku pedoman penggunaan moodle bagi dosen dan mahasiswa.  Pada tahun kedua dilakukan ujicoba pada skala luas terhadap hasil produk media moodle yang telah dikembangkan pada tahun pertama pada materi Fisika Dasar II. Tahap terakhir pada penelitian ini yaitu tahap evaluasi untuk melihat respon mahasiswa terhadap media yang dikembangkan. Hasil analisis diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa mahasiswa memberikan tanggapan yang positif terhadap desain, peran, dan kemudahan penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis moodle dalam pembelajaran Fisika Dasar II. Kata kunci: Media Berbasis Moodle, BerpikirKreatif.

Abstract

This research aims to know the effect of using interactive multimedia towards concepts mastery and critical thinking skill of students on the material of temperature ang heat. This research is an experimental research that uses pretest-posttest control design. The sample of this research is grade XA and XB students of SMAN 1 Alas in the academic year 2013/2014 that determined by cluster random sampling technique. The instruments that used to collect the data are test sheets of mastering concepts is developed based on indicator of temperature and heat learning material on the sub topic of expansion, heat transfer and black principle. Meanwhile, the test of critical thinking skill is developed based on the indicator of argument analysis shows that mean score of concepts mastery of experimental group is 61% and control group is 54%. The result of t-test of concepts mastery and critical thinking skill shows that experimental group is significantly higher that control group. It means that the use of interactive multimedia has an effect towards concepts mastery and critical thinking skill of students on the material of temperature and heat.
