Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research prove of difference between the limited critical thinking ability and the general critical thinking ability of learners using the methods of debate and discussion with learners who have different learning styles. Using a quasi-experimental design with testing and rating scales, the results showed: (1) there is no difference between the limited critical thinking ability of learners between students who use the method of debate and discussion. There is a difference between the general critical thinking ability of learners between students using the method of debate and those who are using discussion method (2) there is a difference in limited critical thinking ability and the general critical thinking ability between converging learning styles and divergent learning styles; (3) there is an interaction between instructional methods and learning styles on the limited critical thinking ability. The effect of learning methods to the general critical thinking ability is not influenced by the style of learning.Key Words: debate methods, discussion methods, learning styles, critical thinkingAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan perbedaan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis terbatas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis umum peserta didik menggunakan metode debat dan diskusi dengan gaya belajar yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimental dengan skala pengujian dan penilaian. Hasil menunjukkan: (1) tidak ada perbedaan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis terbatas peserta didik di antara siswa yang menggunakan metode debat dan diskusi. Ada perbedaan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis umum peserta didik di antara siswa yang menggunakan metode debat dan diskusi; (2) ada perbedaan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis terbatas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis umum antara siswa dengan gaya belajar konvergen dan divergen; (3) ada interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan gaya belajar pada kemampuan berpikir kritis terbatas. Pengaruh metode pembelajaran terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis umum tidak dipengaruhi oleh gaya belajar.Kata kunci: metode debat, metode diskusi, gaya belajar, berpikir kritis

Abstract

In this study, the authors used a descriptive qualitative approach which departed from two questions, namely; 1.) "What is Amaliyah doing at the Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School in Kediri?", 2.) How is the relationship between Amaliyah at the Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School and spiritual education? " With these several questions, the results of the research conducted found that spiritual education in the amaliyah tradition at the Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School includes: grave pilgrimages, prayer beads, and recitation of 1000 sholawat. With this amaliyah tradition, we are able to; 1.) overcoming anxiety, fear, and uneasiness of the hearts of the students, 2.) calming the soul, because in it there are things that bring calm, such as dzikrullah in reading tahlil, tahmid, tasbih, and sholawat., 3.) giving direction, motivation and finally grow full awareness to obey, submit to carry out orders and know the prohibitions.

Abstract

This article reviews the infiltration of Salafi-Wahabi’s teaching to madrasas through textbooks distributed to several areas, including Kediri. The textbook teaches purification of Islam from various local traditions. It also tells readers about struggles to political Islam either through parliament or the preparation of government regulations. Moreover, it invites readers to acts of violence. The presence of this textbook becomes interesting to be viewed from the politics of education perspective, as it becomes media to foster the ideology of religious movements which slowly goes through the learning process. The process has taken places in Islamic Junior High schools (Madrasa Tsanawiya) and Islamic Senior High Schools (Madrasa Aliya), by inserting an ideology of a certain religious movement through Aqeedah-Akhlaq subject. Responding the presence of the textbook, activists of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) in Kediri have published counter madrasa textbooks. They have also published Student Worksheets (LKS) Rahmatan lil ‘Alamin which contents try to strengthen the teaching of NU in madrasas.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the quality of learning and learning achievement of grade IV students in my Heroes' Theme using PowerPoint slide media. This research was conducted in two cycles. Where in each cycle has stages that start from doing planning, action, observation and reflection. The results of the study: (1) through the application of PowerPoint slide media can improve the quality of learning; (2) the use of PowerPoint slide media can improve learning achievement 'pahlawanku' Theme in grade IV of SDN Sanan 1. The average value of the class before being subjected to action is 62, in cycle 1 it increases to 71 and in cycle II to 80. The number of students completing study at pre-action as many as 5 students or equal to 35.7%, in the first cycle increased to 9 students or equal to 64.3%, and in the second cycle to 12 students or by 85.7%. The advice given is that the teacher should use innovative models and varied media in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of lecturers in minimizing plagiarism behavior of students. This study uses a qualitative method with interview and documentation data collection techniques. The results of the study found that : (1) socialization to students related to plagiarism, providing understanding of writing scientific papers and understanding of plagiarism, (2) students are required to revise their writing indicated plagiarism, (3) students who do plagiarism do not get assignments, (4) improve students reading culture; (5) teaches students about sentences paraphrasing, encourages indirect qoutations, provides journal references for students; (6) requires students to actively participate in discussion forums; (7) calls for retention from print books; (8) requires students to take online classes; (9) check plagiarism online; (10) giving assignments by hand; (11) determine the limit of plagiarism tolerance in accordance with the guidelines for writing scientific papers.

Abstract

Tulisan ini menjelaskan tlatah tradisi mataraman, proses dialogis antara budaya dan Islam dan tradisi keagamaan Islam Mataraman. Kesimpulan tulisan ini, pertama tradisi tlatah dan Mataraman pertama terkait dengan kerajaan Mataram. Dalam hal wilayah Mataraman, terletak di bagian barat Jawa Timur yang berbatasan dengan Jawa Tengah. Dari aspek sosial-politik wilayah ini memiliki pengaruh dari pekerjaan pra-Islam Mataram hingga zaman Islam. Kedua, proses pencerahan budaya terjadi melalui proses dialogis. Perjalanan menganeksasi tradisi dan budaya dengan Islam mengalami pasang surut, terkadang damai dan kadang konflik. Ketiga, tradisi keagamaan Mataraman dalam aspek-aspek tertentu memiliki persamaan. Tradisi seperti sekaten, gerebek, tahlilan, surowan dan nyadranan. Tradisi-tradisi ini dijalankan dan dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat yang dulunya berada di bawah kekuasaan kerajaan Mataram. Tradisi ini telah dimodifikasi oleh Walisongo sehingga nuansa agama Hindu-Budha yang dianggap syirik telah diubah menjadi konten Islam. Proses akulturasi melewati periode panjang berabad-abad yang melahirkan karakter masyarakat yang unik di wilayah mataraman.

Abstract

Abstrak Pendidikan agama menjadi kebutuhan dasar bagi siswa. Sekolah berkewajiban memberikan pendidikan agama pada setiap siswa pada semua satuan pendidikan. Tulisan ini mengangkat (1) urgensi pendidikan agama bagi siswa, (2) landasan dan aspek yang mendungkung pelaksanaan pendidikan agama, dan (3) implementasi pendidikan agama pada siswa muslim dan non-muslim. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan; (1) pendidikan agama sangat penting bagi siswa muslin atau pun non-muslim. Agama menjadi petunjuk bagi para penganutnya, dengan belajar agama kehidupan siswa lebih terarah, (2) keberdaan undang-undang menjadi landasan yuridis bagi pelaksanaan kebijakan pendidikan agama. Aspek yang mendukung pelaksanaan pendidikan agama yakni: guru yang professional; sarana dan prasarana; buku di perpustakaan; kegiatan salat berjamaah dan salat Jumat; dan peringatan hari besar Islam, (3) implementasi pendidikan Agama berjalan dengan baik. Siswa muslim belajar agama pada jam yang sudah terjadwalkan, sedangkan siswa non muslim belajar agama pada hari Jumat, di saat siswa muslim melaksanakan salat Jumat. Dari 11 siswa mereka belajar dalam satu ruangan yang sama, sehingga dalam prakteknya hampir sama dengan pembelajaran kelas rangkap. Dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan agama semua guru agama mempersiapkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan baik. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Agama, Siswa Muslim dan Non-Muslim, Undang-undang Sisdiknas Abstract Religious education is a basic need for students. Schools are obliged to provide religious education to each student in all educational units. This paper raises (1) the urgency of religious education for students, (2) the foundation and aspects that support the implementation of religious education, and (3) the implementation of religious education for Muslim and non-Muslim students. This study uses a qualitative approach. The results of this study can be concluded; (1) religious education is very important for muslin students or non-Muslims. Religion is a guide for its adherents, by learning religion the life of students is more directed, (2) the existence of the law becomes a juridical basis for the implementation of religious education policies. Aspects that support the implementation of religious education are: professional teachers; facilities and infrastructure; book in the library; congregational prayers and Friday prayers; and the commemoration of Islamic holidays, (3) the implementation of religious education went well. Muslim students study religion during the scheduled hours, while non-Muslim students study religion on Friday, when Muslim students perform Friday prayers. Of the 11 students they studied in the same room, so in practice it was almost the same as multigrade learning. In the implementation of religious education all religious teachers prepare the learning tools well. Keywords: Religious Education, Muslim and Non-Muslim Students, National Education System Law

Abstract

This paper is to find out learning that uses fairy tale methods and increase students' literacy skills in rewriting the contents of fairy tales. Researchers use classroom action research. Data collection techniques with observation and writing ability tests, with skinative and quantitative analysis techniques. Research findings: there is an increase in the ability to rewrite fairy tales read from cycle I to cycle II. There are variations in storytelling techniques by utilizing various learning media in the form of images, audio visuals and the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Abstrak: Setiap warga negara dituntut memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam menjalankan kehidupan. Kemampuan berpikir kritis menjadi kebutuhan yang mendasar di masa mendatang dalam memutuskan berbagai permasalahan yang muncul dengan cepat dan komplek, keputusan yang diambil juga harus cermat. Warga negara tidak mungkin memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis jika tidak dibelajarkan sejak awal, dimana kemampuan berpikir kritis akan berkembang dalam proses belajar yang mendorong keterlibatan pebelajar secara aktif, baik secara fisik dan psikis, sehingga tidak akan muncul dalam kegiatan belajar yang pasif, pebelajar tidak memiliki banyak peran. Belajar aktif, mendorong pebelajar untuk mendengar, berbicara, membaca dan menulis. Mereka mengevaluasi, menganalisi, merefleksi, mensitesis, dan kesimpulan. Pembelajaran aktif dapat ditemukan dalam kegiatan belajar yang memposisikan pebelajar pada peran strategisnya. Metode yang menekankan pembelajaran aktif dapat ditemukan dalam metode debat. Metode ini membahas tema yang baru dan kontoversi, pengembangan kemampuan lisan, dan tertulis; membedakan fakta dari penilaian dan pengetahuan dari keyakinan, dan mewujudkan standar intelektual seperti akurasi, dukungan pembuktian, kejelasan dan logika. Metode ini, merupakan bentuk kontroversi lisan yang terdiri dari presentasi sistematis menentang argumen tentang topik yang dipahami pihak lain. Untuk setiap isu, pasti terdapat berbagai sudut pandang terhadap isu tersebut: alasan-alasan mengapa seseorang dapat mendukung atau tidak mendukung suatu isu. Tujuan dari debat adalah untuk mengeksplorasi alasan-alasan di belakang setiap sudut pandang. Agar alasan tersebut dapat dimengerti secara persuasif.Abstract: Every citizen is required to have the ability to think critically in carrying out life. Critical thinking ability is a fundamental need in the future in deciding various problems that arise quickly and complex, decisions taken must also be careful. Citizens may not have the ability to think critically if they are not taught from the beginning, where critical thinking skills will develop in the learning process that encourages active student involvement, both physically and psychologically, so that they will not appear in passive learning activities, students do not have much role. Active learning encourages students to hear, speak, read and write. They evaluate, analyze, reflect, sensitizes, and conclusions. Active learning can be found in learning activities that position students in their strategic roles. Methods that emphasize active learning can be found in the debate method. This method addresses new themes and controversies, the development of oral and written abilities; distinguish facts from judgment and knowledge of beliefs, and realize intellectual standards such as accuracy, evidence support, clarity, and logic. This method is a form of oral controversy that consists of systematic presentations against arguments on topics understood by others. For each issue, there must be various perspectives on the issue: reasons why someone can support or not support an issue. The purpose of the debate is to explore the reasons behind each point of view. So that these reasons can be understood persuasively.
