Abstract

At Mts NU Nahdlatul Atfhal Kudus, many students feel that statistical material is one of difficults subject. It looks at their statistical test results. This research aims to assess the implementation of double loop problemsolving learning model on statistical material at MTS NU Nahdlatul Atfhal Kudus in improving students’ mathematical problem solving abilities. The study was conducted in class VIII A (double loop problem solving learning model class) dan VIII B (expository learning class). The method that used in this research is quasi experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The research instrument used is mathematical problem solving test. Data analysis used a N-gain normalized test to see an improvement in students' mathematical problem solving abilities in both research classes, descriptive statistic, normality test and parametric and non parametric test. The findings of this research is based on Mann-Whitney U, students 'mathematical problem solving abilities on statistical materials by applying double loop problem solving learning model are higher than the students' mathematical problem solving abilities that applied the expository learning.This shows that double loop problem solving learning model can improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities. Abstract

Revolusi Industri 4.0 dimana era yang semuanya diwarnai dengan kecerdasan buatan (artificial intelligence), atau yang dapat disebut dengan era super komputer, rekayasa genetika, inovasi, dan perubahan serba cepat yang mempunyai pengaruh disegala aspek bidang khususnya pendidikan. Gejala ini dapat dilihat dengan ditandai banyaknya sumber-sumber informasi melalui media sosial, seperti youtube, instagram, dan sebagainya. Dengan zaman yang super canggih ini mempunyai Dampak negatif  yang ditimbulkan di dunia pendidikan seperti terkikisnya karakter nasionalisme siswa di era saat ini. Untuk menumbuhkan karakter nasionalisme siswa pada generasi Z 4.0. untuk menanggulangi hal tersebut untuk itu diperlukanya pembelajaran matematika yang inovatif yang berbasis etnomatematika dengan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Pembelajaran matematika berbasis etnomatematika merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan unsur-unsur budaya. Selain itu masalah yang sering dialami siswa generasi Z 4.0 adalah tidak tertariknya siswa untuk mempelajari matematika disebabkan pendekatan pembelajaran yang digunakan guru bersifat konvensional dan cenderung membosankan. sehingga, pemilihan model pembelajaran merupakan salah satu hal yang paling utama yang harus difikirkan oleh guru dalam mengajar matematika.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji: (1) perbedaan rata-rata antara hasil tes kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dengan Kriteria Kentutasan Maksimum (KKM) pada siswa yang belajar melalui circuit learning; (2) kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang belajar melalui circuit learning mencapai ketuntasan klasikal 75%; (3) circuit learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa; dan (4) respon siswa tehadap pembelajaran matematika melalui circuit learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre experimental design, dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi kelas IV pada salah satu SD di Kabpuaten Kudus dengan banyaknya siswa adalah 20 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan koneksi matematis, perangkat pembelajaran, skala sikap siswa dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menyatakan: (1) terdapat perbedaan rata-rata antara hasil tes kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dengan Kriteria Kentutasan Maksimum (KKM) pada siswa yang belajar melalui circuit learning; (2) kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang belajar melalui circuit learning mencapai ketuntasan klasikal 75%; (3) circuit learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa; dan (4) siswa merespon positif tehadap pembelajaran matematika melalui circuit learning.  Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis, Circuit Learning Abstract. The method of the research used is pre experimental design, with one group pretest-posttest design. Subjects in this study are students of grade IV at one of the primary school in the Kudus Regency with the number of students is 20 students. The research instrument used is the mathematic connection ability test, learning tools, students attitudes scale and observation sheet. The study states: (1) there is a difference between the average the results of students mathematic connection ability test with the Kriteria Kentutasan Maksimum (KKM) on students who learn through the learning circuit; (2) the ability of students mathematic connections who learn through circuit learning reaches classical completeness 75%; (3) circuit learning can improve students mathematic connections ability; and (4) students respond positively on mathematic learning through circuit learning. Keywords: Mathematic Connection Ability, Circuit Learning

Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking ability is one of the capabilities that need to be owned anddeveloped in students who study mathematics from primary to university level. This is due to thoseabilities in accordance with the vision of mathematics, national education goals and learningobjectives of the school mathematics. This paper is a contribution of new ideas for implementingthe curriculum in education so as to develop mathematical creative thinking ability in school.Information about mathematical creative thinking ability derived based on a literature review. Thestudy results are expected that mathematical creative thinking ability can progress throughdiscovery learning based scientific approach.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the enhancement of the students’ mathematical creative thinking ability in two classes whereby in one class, the students learning through problem-basedlearning “what’s another way” and in another class, the students learning through discovery learning. The population of the study were all seven grade students in a junior high schools in Pekalongan regency. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and involved two classes as samples. The data were gathered by employing three research instruments such as mathematics creative thinking ability test, teaching materials, and observation sheet. The results of the study indicated that there was no significance difference in the enchancement between student who recieved WAW and student who recieve discovery learing.Keywords: Problem-Based Learning “What’s Another Way”, Discovery Learning, and Mathematics Creative Thinking Ability

Abstract

21st century mathematical learning emphasizes the importance of developing creativity, critical thinking, cooperation and communication skills. The aims of Mathematics are to trained students to think critically, systematically, logically, analytically, and creatively and have an effective willingness to work which is a Higher Order Thinking Skills. The development of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in learning is one manifestation of the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, so that learning and evaluation activities carried out should be oriented to HOTS. HOTS especially in mathematics was born from a continuous process and not only results oriented. A continuous and consistent process is needed to train and familiarize students. This should start from the beginning of the learning activities to take place until the completion of even the process of reflection and evaluation. Teachers must be able to facilitate students to become good thinkers and problem solvers

Abstract

Teacher at SDN 4 Puyoh Kudus District rarely make the learning process through learning discoveries aided props on the material Volume beams and cubes. This is due, they are accustomed to using expository teaching methods which place more emphasis on the process of delivering the material verbally from teacher to student. Thus, the response of the students in the learning of the discovery needs to be examined. This study aims to investigate the response of primary school students towards learning mathematics through learning discoveries aided props. This research uses descriptive qualitative research design in which the subject of the study was nineteen students. Data collection techniques are by using questionnaires, observation sheets, documentation and interviews. The results showed that the students showed a positive response tehadap mathematics learning using discovery learning props aided by the average percentage of students who responded positively to 82.11%. In addition, the activity of students during the learning process using the learning-aided invention nice props with an average percentage of 83% of student activity. Abstract

One of the goals of learning mathematics is that students have the ability to solve mathematical problems. The objectives of this research are to: (1) Analyze students errors in categories of low basic mathematical ability in completing tests of mathematical problem solving skills; and (2) to know the cause of the mistakes made by the students on the category of low basic mathematical ability. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were 9 students of grade 5th SD N 4 Puyoh, Kabupaten Kudus selected from the category of early mathematical ability of low level students. Subjects are selected by considering the teachers explanation in the research class about the students ability to express opinions or the oral way of thinking. The determination of research subjects is based on the results of students problem solving skills tests and students maths early test. Methods of data collection in this study are early mathematical ability test, problem solving test, and interview. Data analysis in this research is done with stages that include data reduction, data presentation, and draw conclusion and verification. The results showed that the cause of the mistakes made by students in completing the test of mathematical problem solving ability in the low student group are: (1) Students do not read the problem carefully so that there is information that is missed; and (2) Students can not mention what is known completely, do not identify what is known exactly so that it causes incorrect interpretation.  Keywords:  Mathematic, Problem Solving Test, Student’s Error

Abstract

Hasil dari pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas industri mainan anak-anak di Desa Karanganyar Kecamatan Welahan Kabupaten Demak. Metode yang dipergunakan dari pelaporan pengabdian adalah dengan menggunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara atau teknik observasi dan pendokumentasian. Analisis dilakukan dengan mereduksi data, disajikan datanya dengan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil kegiatan dari pengabdian ini adalah industri kerajinan mainan anak-anak di Desa Karanganyar Kecamatan Welahan Kabupaten Jepara mampu meningkat. Hal ini disebabkan adanya variasi produk dengan variasi warna sehingga anak-anak mempunyai ketertarikan kepada mainan dengan warna yang mencolok.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan seberapa besar penerapan model CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) berbantuan media batik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika, serta seberapa besar keterampilan mengajar guru dan aktivitas siswa dapat meningkat melalui model CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) berbantuan media batik. Teknik pengumpulam data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tes dan non tes. Hasil penelitian terdapat peningkatan yang meliputi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa siklus I (46,67%) meningkat menjadi (86,67%) siklus II, kemudian terjadi peningkatan pada keterampilan mengajar guru siklus I (78,84%) meningkat menjadi (89,06%) siklus II, dan aktivitas siswa juga terjadi peningkatan pada siklus I (69,47%) menjadi (79,28%) siklus II. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) berbantuan media batik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, keterampilan mengajar guru, dan aktivitas siswa.
