Abstract

Abstrak Seiring perkembangandunia pengetahuan dan teknologi, media dalamdunia pendidikanjuga berkembang dengan pesatnya. Sekarang beraneka macam media yang berbasis teknologi informasi banyak kita jumpai dengan mudahnya dalam dunia pembelajaran. Fungsi media dalam pembelajaran itu sendiri antara lain dapat memperjelas dalam penyajian materi dan informasi kepada siswa. Salah satu media yang sangat menarik bagi siswa adalah film. Manfaat media film dalammeningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi proses pembelajaran diantaranya adalah: mengatasi keterbatasan waktu dan jarak, mampu menggambarkan peristiwa-peristiwa masa lalu secara realistis dalamwaktu singkat. Kegiatan pelatihan produksi karya seni yang berbasis audiovisual ini kiranya dirasa sangat dibutuhkan oleh siswa. Apalagi pada realitasnya, penguasaan teknologi videografi di kalangan civitas sekolah masih jauh dari harapan. Lebih jauh, skill di bidang seni audio visual ini dapat menjadiwadah bagi penyaluran talenta dan kreativitas siswa. Program Studi Televisidan Film FSRD ISI Surakarta menyelenggarakansebuahpelatihandanpembimbingan teknis tentang dasar-dasar produksi karya seni audiovisualberupa filmpendek berbasis heritagebagisiswa Sekolah Menengah Atas Nahdatul Ulama 1 Gresik. Sejak lama kota Gresik terkenal dengan banyak bangunan peninggalan sejarah masa lampau yang sampaisaat inimasih kokoh berdiri dandirawat kelestariannyadan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai objek dalam program PPM ini. Sekolah Menengah Atas Nahdatul Ulama 1 Gresik dipilih sebagai lokasi pelaksanaan program pengabdian karena memang di sejak tahun 2011 mahasiswa Prodi Televisi dan Film ISI Surakarta telah menjalin kerjasama. Kata kunci: pelatihan, dasar, filmpendek.  Abstract Along with science and technology progress, medias that was used in education area was also going through rapid development. Right now, we could easily find information technology based medias used in learning process. The medias were used for making the learning materials and information easier to learn. One of the medias was film. The advantage of film as a media in enhancing learning process effectivity and efficiency was: overcoming the limitations of time and distance, hence it would able to describe events in the past realistically in a short time. This audiovisual based art production training activities was considered very important for students. Moreover in fact, mastering in videography technology among school faculties was still beneath the expectation. Furthermore, skill in audiovisual could accomodate students’talent and creativity. Television and Film Programme FSRD ISI Surakarta held a technical coaching and training about the basics of audiovisual art productinthat would resulting heritage based short film, for Nahdatul Ulama I High School, Gresik. Gresik had long been known for its historic buildings.the buildings was still standinng strong, and had been well-mainained. they could be uused as PPM objects. Meanwhile, Nahdatul Ulama I High School was chosen as the location of this service program, because collaboration between Television and Film Program ISI Surakarta and the high school had been established since 2011.Keywords: training, basic, short film.

Abstract

Film is a collaborative work that combines multiple art forms. Every form of art donatesrespective roles and supports each other. Film is created as a means of communicationvia meaningful visual language and affirmed-narrative. A film raises aesthetic values andmeaning by offering interpretation from its audience. The story telling throughchoreography on the step of post-production (editing) will bring new meaning, it makesa dance film more superior than the performances of casual dance. Dance has becomea means of creating a depth of meaning on purpose to be conveyed. By using a semiotictheory, a “Socerres From Dirah” dance film which has rural setting can be perceivedthrough culture and religion of rural communities. Of the signs systems (signifier/expression and signified/contents), it has obtained connotative meaning of the effort,praying and expression of excitement for all the work done by rural communities inmaking a living for his family.

Abstract

Every year, films adapted from novels have developed significantly. However,there are many differences from their novels when the films screened, such as thereduction and addition of the storyline and characters, and also some variations.Thecreativity of the films toward their novels is because of the audio-visual medium,whilenovel caused by linguistic medium.Thus,there are certain plots that can be raised well inthe novel, but cannot appear in the film, or vice versa. This research examines theelement of narrative changes that covers the story, plot, characters, andcharacterizations in the movie entitled Life of Pi using ecranisation approach.Ecranisationtheory is an adapting novel to film that causes three changes; shrinking, adding, andvaried changes. This research adopts qualitative research method. The data wascollected by observation and literature study.The results showed that there were a lotof changes in this film include shrinking, that is the reduction and elimination of someplots,as well as the removal of the several characters.Also,there were some additionsand some changes.The function of the varied changes in this film is to create the processof causality consistently and also as a teaser.Keywords : Novel,film,ecranisation,and Life of Pi

Abstract

Javanese family is smallest scope of Javanese society. Social conditions of thefamily can be represented in various ways through various media, such as through themedium of movie. Movie entitled Jokowi is a biopic film with Javanese background.The film tells the struggle of life in chronological order. The film depicts a life conditionsof character with the Javanese family, set in the period of 1960 through 2012. TheJavanese family concept from literature books that according with time frames or yearsof the story, is used as references for a family reading of social interaction that appearsfrom the primary data, they are pieces of movie scenes. This study aims to determinehow the Javanese family represented through the Jokowi film. The method used in thisresearch is descriptive qualitative method, with approach a representation theory ofStuart Hall as the reading method. Representation approach is used to posit the film asa medium that can construct the meaning through language (constructionist). So, it canappears 6 selected sequences, contains scenes which may represent a social life ofJavanese family inside the film. The results of this study showed a nearly balanced,which appears three equations, two shifts, and one difference. Equations that appearare: (1) social relations childhood in a family through the closeness between father andson was a toddler; (2) the status of teenage boys who attend school; and (3) a patternof domestic cooperation through the division of labor. Then, a shift that appears are: (1)the social status of the family through a way of having a baby; (2) the role of parentsthrough of punishing the child after a fight. In addition, one significant difference thatappear is the closeness of father and son through the way of greeting each other.Keywords: family, Jawa, representation, and Jokowi

Abstract

The main issues in the study that how the visualization of women in the movie  Wanita Tetap Wanita. This research used approach of qualitative descriptive especially the analysis study. The result that can be drawn in this study that the leadership spirit visualised by Medium Close-Up shots, meaning of the personal relationships showed by Medium Shot, the social relationships visualised in Full Shot, and the eye level camera indicates the level of fairness, equality or equal. Visualization of women who demonstrate leadership at a time when women are grappling with maintaining a job with patience and able to lead a family or can be called the backbone of the family. Visualization courage by taking close up pictures that have meaning or intimacy with the expression of someone’s reaction when they face the problem of women still smile and strong, brave women at the time of visualization to show her feelings to a man who already has a wife and children with movement of the Pan Right and Leftcamera show meaning of curiosity in atmosphere around. The results of the study showed that the movie  Wanita Tetap Wanita seeks to visualize the slick condition of women in fighting for their rights at each story according man’s perspective. Abstract

The geographical form of Pacitan Regency in the form of a bowl, with karst mountains that surround the city center and its outer limits directly opposite the Indian Ocean, as if it were a double-edged blade. The geographic location of Pacitan regency provides advantages such as the abundance of natural beauty that is potential to be managed as a place of tourism, but on the other hand, face to face with ocean in oceanic plate meeting with continental plate, making Pacitan regency gets threat of natural disaster in the form of earthquake and tsunami waves. The dissemination of adequate knowledge and information on the potential tsunami hazard faced by communities around Teluk Teleng as well as actions to be taken to reduce the risk of the tsunami disaster need to get serious attention and be done continuously. Production training and film campaigns with participatory methods on tsunami disaster risk reduction to communities around Teleng Bay, Sidoharjo Village, Pacitan District need to be undertaken to maintain awareness and collective awareness of the community, against tsunami hazard and as a manifestation of efforts to reduce impacts of the natural disaster.Keywords: tsunami, disaster risk reduction, film produsction, participatory.
