Abstract

The purposes of this research was to describe the creativity and learning achievement of mathematics in Class VII A SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta using Quantum Teaching. This research is Class Action Research (CAR). The technique of data done by observation, questionnaire, and tests. The results of research that the creativity average in pre-cycle 64,75%, in cycle I 71,97% and in cycle II 81%. Then The results of research that learning achievement of mathematics in pre-cycle 20,69%, in cycle I 55,17% and in cycle II 72,41%. The creativity and learning achievement of the KKM showed also increased. Based the results of the research, Quantum Teaching can increase creativity and learning achievement of mathematics. So, teachers can implement Quantum Teaching as a variation of learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the correlation between numerical ability and students perception on mathematics with the results of mathematics learning. This research method applied descriptive of correlation. The population in this research is grade VIII SMPN 2 Jogonalan totaling 171 students, with a sample of 86 students taken by cluster random sampling. Analytical techniques multiple regression analysis with requirment of normality and linierity. Based on the results of the research, R = 0,491, meaning that there was a positive correlation between numerical ability and students perception on mathematics with the results of mathematics learning. 0,533, meaning that there was a positive correlation between numerical ability with the results of mathematics learning. 0,307, meaning that there was a positive correlation between students perception on mathematics with the results of mathematics learning.

Abstract

The objectives of this research is to discribe learning process by using constructivism learning model in order to improve the activity and achivement of Mathematics Learning in VIII G class of SMP Negreri 6 Kebumen Academic Year 2013/2014.This kind of research is classroom action which is done collaboratively between  the researcher and Math’s teacher. The result of research shows that after applying the constructivism learning model, students activity and learning achievement of mathematics is increase. Learning activity is increase from pre cycle 24, 60%, in cycle I becomes 45,31%, and in cycle II becomes 66, 59%. Learning achievement is also increase seen from average value in pre cycle amount to 61,65, in the last of test of cycle I becomes 68,91,  and becomes 76,72 in the last of cycle II test. Students percentage which obtain value (73) is increase from 43,75%  in pre cycle, in the last of cycle I test becomes 53,12%  and becomes 62,5%  in the last of cycle II. So, it’s suggested to teacher to be able to choose and apply the suitable learning model in order to create the atmosphere of exciting, condusive, effective in the classroom so they are able to increase activity and mathematics learning achievement and one of them is by using constructivism learning model.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the positive and significant relation  between students perception of mathematics , interest in learning mathematics and autonomy  in learning mathematics individually or grups with the students’ achievement in learnig mathematics of the X grade students even semester at SMA N 1 Kretek academic year 2013/2014.The type of the study is quantitatif  with ex-post-fakco method which means after the occurance with the subjects of study were the student of grade X even semester of SMA N 1 Kretek in academic year 2013/2014. The number of the student was 75. The research instrument testing used simple regression analysis and partial correlation testing. The result of the study showed that there was significant and positive relation between students’ perseption mathematics learning, students’ interest in learning mathematics and autonomy in learning mathematics with the student’ mathematics achievement, seen from the value of tobs ≥ ttable, whilein geup it was show by the partial correlation R=0,4797 with the Fobs=7,075 ≥ Ftable=2,734

Abstract

The research purposes to increases interest and mathematics achievement with Joyful Learning method in class VII G SMP Negeri 2 Sanden. The research subjects were students of class VII G SMP Negeri 2 Sanden and object of this research were interests and mathematics achievement. The results showed that interest and mathematics achievement increase. The results can be seen from questionnaire data pre-term by 62.88% with moderate category, increased to 69.16% with the moderate category in first term. Then increased again to 78.01% in second term with the high category. The results of mathematics achievement obtained from test, with percentage completeness obtained pre-term 16.67% with an average of 56.07. In first term increased to 63.33% with an average of 69.02 and in second term increased to 80% with average value of 80.67.

Abstract

This research aims to know the information abaut the  tendency of self efficacy, motivation, procrastination academic, and mathematics learning  achievement of student VIII grade SMP in subdistrict Kraton Yogyakarta and to determine the relationship of self efficacy, motivation, procrastination academic with mathematics learning achievement of student VIII grade SMP in subdistrict Kraton Yogyakarta either partially or simultaneously. This research was ex post facto. The population of this research were students VIII grade SMP in subdistrict Kraton Yogyakarta of 360 students.  The research sample of 90 students was taken by proportional random sampling. Analysis using descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. The result of the data analysis in this research are : 1) self efficacy was medium; 2) motivation was high; 3) procrastination academic was medium; 4) mathematics learning achievement was medium; 5) simultaneously there was positive relationship between self efficacy and motivation also negative relationship between procrastination academic with mathematics learning achievement ( ; 6) there was positive relationship between self efficacy with mathematics learning achievement ; 7) there was positive relationship between motivation with mathematics learning achievement ; 8) there was negative between procrastination academic with mathematics learning achievement .

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the tendency of students’ discipline and  the tendency of students perception about the ways teacher teach with the tendency of students’  mathematic learning achievement, (2) the correlation between students’ discipline and students perception about the ways teacher teach with students’ mathematic learning achievement collectively together or independently. The population of  this study was the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri at Wonosari district in Gunungkidul, with the  sample  was 60 students of SMP Negeri 2 Wonosari and 64 students of SMP Negeri 3 Wonosari, with  total sample was 124 students. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling technique. The Data Analysis is using multiple correlation and multiple regression of two variables. Based on the research results, the students’ discipline, students’ perception on the way teacher teach, and students mathematic learning achievement tend to in a high category. From the calculation of multiple correlation test, = 0,517 with the significance 0.000 < 0.05 and= 0.505 with the significance level  0.000 < 0.05 it means that there was a positive and significant correlation between the students’ discipline and perceptions on the ways teacher  to students’ learning mathematics achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to increase motivation and mathematics achievement of students in class X-AK SMK Bhumi Phala Parakan Temanggung with cooperative learning model type Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS). Type Classroom Action Research. The subject class X-AK and object motivation and mathematics learning achievement. Techniques of data collection is using observation, tests, questionnair and documentation. The results after application of TSTS models, motivation and mathematics learning achievement has increased. This is indicated by the average percentage of angket result of student learning motivation by 59,20% pre-cycle, the first cycle of 63.50%, and 69.51% in the second cycle. Results of students mathematics learning achievement test, the average value of mathematics learning achievement at 58,23 pre cycle, the first cycle increased to 66,00 and the second cycle increased to 77,17.

Abstract

This research intent to know relationship: (1) adversity quotient with learned achievement, (2) self efficacy with learned achievement, (3) study habits with learned achievement, (4) are jointly between adversity quotient, self efficacy and study habits with math learned achievement in tenth grade students of beauty skill program Vocational Middle School at Umbulharjo District. This study was expost facto.  This study population was all student in tenth grade of beauty skill program Vocational Middle School at Umbulharjo District totaling 209 students. The sampling technique used was a cluster random is sampling than sample was 62 students. Technique of data collecting used the technique to measure adversity quotient, self efficacy and study habits, and documentation technique to measure student achievement. The data analysis technique used is the descriptive statistical analysis and correlation analysis. The result showed that: (1) There is a positive and significant relationship between adversity quotient with math learned achievement student with a correlation of 0,352. (2)There is a positive and significant relationship between self efficacy with math learned achievement student with a correlation of 0,466. (3) There is a positive and significant relationship between study habits with math learned achievement student with a correlation of 0,442. (4) Taken together there is a positive relationship between adversity quotient, self efficacy and study habits with math learned achievement student with a correlation of 0,609. Based on these results, it was concluded that students learned achievement is influenced by adversity quotients factor, self efficacy and study habits.

Abstract

An application of cooperative learning model type Students Teams Achievement Division (STAD) to increase the effectiveness and achievement in learning mathematics of students grade VII A SMP Negeri 1 Kalibawang, Kulon Progo in year 2013/ 2014. The type of this research is classroom action research collaboratively. The subject of the reasearch are students grade VII A SMP Negeri Kalibawang, Kulonprogo. It consist 35 students. The object of the research is  the effectiveness and students’ achivement in learning mathematics through cooperative learning model type Students Teams Achievement Division (STAD). The result shows the increase by using this model. It is shown by the increase of the subjection mean in observation sheet in each cycle. Pre-cycle of the effectivenes shows 62,86% become 72,14% in cycle I, then it has an increase in cycle II become 83,81%. Beside that, the subjection mean of students achievement has an increase. In pre-cycle shows 54,14 with Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM) is 31,43% consist of 8 students, in cycle I has an increase become 65,51 with KKM is 48,57% consist of 17 students, whereas in cycle II shows the increse become 75,13 with KKM is 77,14%.
