Abstract

There are many students of Mathematic Education Department in Tarbiyah Faculty of IAIN Ar-Raniry got difficulties to learn Calculus I. It is proven by many students fail the Calculus class. One of the causes is they did not really master the concept of trigonometric as one of the prerequisite of calculus I. Therefore, we need to know and analyze the type of mistaken they made and the tendency to produce the mistakes in answering the trigonometric’s question. In this research, data were collected through interview and questionnaire. Then, they were analyzed by using descriptive statistic. The result shows that the mistaken done by students in answering the trigonometric questions as the prerequisite of Calculus 1covers the mistake of facts, skills, concept and principles. Meanwhile, the tendency of doing the mistaken coming from principle misconception due to lack of understanding of trigonometric concept.

Abstract

School head master is one of factors in encouraging the school to reach its vision, mission, aim and target through the planned implemented program. The aim of the study is to know the leadership of the head master of the school in improving the teachers’ commitment, work motivation and obstacles experiencing by the school head master in improving the teachers’ performance at MAN Model Banda Aceh. The study used descriptive method. The data collection techniques were observations, interviews, and documentations. The subjects of this research were the head master of the school and the teachers of MAN Model Banda Aceh. The data analysis of this qualitative analysis shows that: (1) the leadership of the head master of the school in improving working commitment is through empowerment of the training teacher in accordance with their field, class supervision evaluation and interns routinely madrasah supervision, and give reward to outstanding teacher; ( 2 ) the school head master leadership in improving work motivation is through professionalism work guiding, evaluate the teacher learning program, consensus agreement in time discipline, and intern cooperation with the school head master and guiding teachers; (3) the head master leadership in improving discipline is through applying self discipline of school head master in order to be followed by teachers as the discipline being conducted by the school head master in fully self awareness without any coercion; (4) the obstacles faced by the school head master in improving the teacher performance is because of time restriction in carrying out classroom supervision, guiding professional teachers and evaluate the teachers teaching-learning process, as well as restricted fund allocation in MAN Model Banda Aceh.

Abstract

The demand of equal rights of women in different spheres of life is one of the important agenda which voiced loudly today. Women’s achievements and skills in various aspects of life indicates that there is no difference between women and men. The results of this study show that women's participation in education at the University of Muhammadiyah is very good. It can be seen from the active participation of women in various educational programs in order to succeed teaching and learning process. While the impact of political existence in the university environment Aceh still shows a very little impact. It can be seen from the role of two women in the field of politics at the University of Muhammadiyah Aceh. Basically, Islam never distinguish between women and men. Islam permits women’s role in politics.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the content of Ayu Utami's Simple Miracles novel in terms of literary sociology and character education. Besides this research also see its relevance to the learning of literature in high school grade 12. This research uses qualitative descriptive method with the subject of Simple Miracles novel. Ayu Utami's novel tells about the life of one family and about the deaths of several family members. The results of this study indicate a social relationship between the characters both in one family member and outside family members. In addition, the results of this study can be deduced from 18 things that are characterized by the characters in this novel, religious, honest, tolerant, independent, democratic, curiosity, friendly, reading, social, and responsibility. This novel also has local cultural features known, religious, and social so that it can be a teaching material in high school grade 12 in accordance with KD 4.1.

Abstract

This writing tries to compare between the concept of education brought by Dewey, as a modern western educator and asy-Syaibani as an Islamic educator. Both have different background and basic foundation when they formulate the basic concept of education. Therefore, there are some substantial differents and similarity between them. In general, both thoughts can be used to develop the education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Setiap anak membutuhkan pendidikan untuk peningkatan  peranya di lingkungan  masyarakat. Melalui proses pendidikan formal, nonformal, dan/atau informal pendidikan anak  telah diselenggarakan untuk peningkatan kualitas keterampilannya, mengingat besarnya dan pentingnya proses pendidikan pola asuh anak tersebut maka tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui besarnya pengaruh pola asuh orang tua terhadap social skills anak. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Malang. Proses menetapkan sampel menggunakan  metode Nomograf Harry King. Jumlah sampel adalah 157, analisis menggunakan program Statistical Program Social Sciences (SPSS). Hasil penelitian ditemukan enam pola asuh orang tua untuk meningkatkan social skills yaitu menerima pendapat anak ketika melakukan Communication, Menanyakan kesalahan anak tanpa memarahi, Memberikan nasehat ketika anak berbuat salah, Memberi pujian pada anak jika melakukan tindakan yang positif, Memberi hadiah ketika anak pintar di sekolah, Memfasilitasi hobi yang disukai anak. Interpretasi analisisnya terjadi pengaruh asuhan orang tua kepada social skills anak pada usia dini. Dengan kata lain semakin tinggi kualitas social skills anak usia dini dipengaruhi oleh kualitas dan kuantitas pola asuh orang tua.  Hasil pengujian statistik  menunjukkan bahwa terjadi pengaruh yang signifikan antara pola asuh orang tua terhadap peningkatan social skills  anak, formulasinya sebagai berikut  Social skills = 1.2 + 0,712 Pola Asuh,  yang bermakna apabila terjadi peningkatan  kualitas asuahan  orang tua, maka kualitas social skills  akan bertambah menjadi  71.2%.

Abstract

Arabic writing is the most difficult of language skills. There are many problems that will be faced by Arabic language learners in terms of writing special words form from right to the left. They must understand nahw and á¹£arf. A reader can not get a true information from the text if there is wrong writing. Hence there are grammars, steps and rules that must be known by Arabic language learners. In this article, the author also suggests some goals of learning Arabic. In the end, he writes some sorts of teaching writing skill, grammatical and application, vocabularies and application, and some Arabic writing styles. Abstract

One important concept in Islamic education is the concept of Fitrah. The concept of Fitrah is not identical with the Empirism Theory (tabularasa theory). Therefore, the Empirism theory - propounded by John Locke - view that people is white, like the paper has not been crossed out. Environment and education is that gives color to the paper. In contrast, the view that human nature (Fitrah) is more than just a white paper and clean, but in nature there is the potential that is carried by humans. That potential is the power or strength to accept religion or Tauhid. Therefore, the environment and education has a strategic role in developing human nature.Finally, well-educated nature make him as a generation of people who love peace, inclusive and continuous improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the achievements of the Integrated Education Program implemented by the Department of Education in Aceh Besar. The implementation of this program is motivated by various conditions that occur in Aceh Besar, such as there are still many cases related to community morals, both at the level of children and adults, so that shaping the character of the community through schools is crucial. Among the efforts made by the Department of Education in Aceh Besar is to implement Integrated Education at schools. The results of the research found that the implementation of the Integrated Education Program had taken place in accordance with the stages and standards that had been set. Furthermore, it is hoped that an integrated education system process will be carried out in each target school and there will be an increase in the quality of education to create the students with Islamic characteristics. This program is expected to be a model that can be adopted by other local governments, in order to achieve national education goals, both local and national levels.

Abstract

Learning sources play important roles in solving the learning problem. They are commonly identified as messages, people, material, tool, technique, and setting. To achieve a maximum output, it is needed to develop learning sources which are managed systematically, certifiably, and functionally. The use of various learning sources in many educational institution is indeed always influenced by some factors such as internal factor which dominantly influences the teaching learning process. It can be in the form of awareness, motivation, attitude, aptitude, metacognition, ability, skill, and the user comfortness. Another factor is called external one which influences the availability of various learning sources, its quantity, accessibility, the teaching learning process, room, human resources, also tradition and the school system. Teacher and students at schools admitted that the learning sources in their school are still limited, therefore it is needed a serious efforts to provide them.
