Abstract

Arabic writing is the most difficult of language skills. There are many problems that will be faced by Arabic language learners in terms of writing special words form from right to the left. They must understand nahw and á¹£arf. A reader can not get a true information from the text if there is wrong writing. Hence there are grammars, steps and rules that must be known by Arabic language learners. In this article, the author also suggests some goals of learning Arabic. In the end, he writes some sorts of teaching writing skill, grammatical and application, vocabularies and application, and some Arabic writing styles. Abstract

One of the obligations that must be undertaken by students of College of Islamic Studies (STAIN) Malikussaleh Lhokseumawe, is to study Arabic course. The problem encountered in teaching Arabic is the difference between curriculum applied from students’ abilities. The purpose of this study is: to find out about the curriculum used in teaching Arabic at STAIN Malikussaleh Lhokseumawe، knowing the school's efforts to progress in teaching Arabic at STAIN Malikussaleh Lhokseumawe and find out the problems faced by the teachers in promoting learning Arabic in STAIN Malikussaleh Lhokseumawe. The results of this study are: (1) Teaching Arabic at STAIN Malikussaleh Lhokseumawe is using “Al-‘Arabiyyah Lak 1” dan “Al-‘Arabiyyah Lak 2”. However, most teachers do not employ suitable methods and medias. Some students said that teachers do not use the media, but the board and textbooks. (2) The effort to improve learning Arabic at STAIN Malikussaleh Lhokseumawe requires teachers to use appropriate methods and media in teaching and learning. (3) The problems faced by teachers are quite related to teaching materials that do not match with students’ ability. Abstract

This study aims to know the correlation between the results of making mind mapping with the learning outcomes of students. The population used in this study were all students of the Department of Chemistry Education UIN Ar-Raniry angkatan 2010 as many as 49 students, while a sample is a student of Chemical Education UIN Ar-Raniry unit I 2010 as many as 28 students. The data was collected through observation sheets, tests, questionnaires and rubrics of mind mapping. The data obtained were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation formula that results of the data processed using SPSS 16. The results showed an increase in activity and the students seemed enthusiastic students participating in learning activities. The percentage of active students at the first meeting at 73.86% and 93.18% in the second meeting. Student learning outcomes with the used of mind mapping in the classical methods achieve mastery of 89.29%. Percentage of students who gave positive responses to the use of mind mapping method reaches 82.15%. The results showed that: (1) There is a positive relationship between the results of making mind mapping the learning outcomes of students in the material paper chromatography. Abstract

The material of composing lesson (insyā’) was important for fifth grade students at Al-Manar boarding school to study. However, most students were bored and less motivated to participate in the class. The main cause of this problem is due to the traditional methods used by teachers. They did not use various medias in instructional process, besides there is no handbook. Moreover, the problem faced by the teacher in this teaching learning process was the students’ motivation. They feel bored with traditional methods used by teachers, and some students do not understand the meaning of words taught. It caused by their lackness in mastering vocabularies and Arabic grammar skills (qawā’id). Based on the problem above, this research implements picture series to develop students’ abilities in instructional process of composing lesson. The method used in this study was experimental study. The result of the study shows that the development of students’ abilities in Arabic composition by using picture series was very effective. It also has positive impact in encouraging them to enjoy the teaching and learning process. Keywords: Composition; Picture Series; Instructional Media

Abstract

This study tries to explore the srategy of mapping the service of Islamic Education Department of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of IAIN Surakarta by using business canvas model. The aim of this study is to describe and find business canvas model to map the service of Islamic education department. The result showed that the service mapping of Islamic education department can be used as a media for quality assessment of Islamic education department. Based on the scope of business canvas model which has been designed, analyzed, and finalized, it was found the service mapping of students, lecturers, staffs, FITK leaders, and Islamic education teachers. Abstract

Mahārah kalām (speaking skills) is a part of skills that highly considered in learning Arabic at Pesantren Darul Ulum Banda Aceh. It encourages students to practice speaking Arabic on a daily basis both in the classroom and outside. Based on pre observations, there are many students who are unable to speak or communicate in Arabic. Most of them feel tired and bored to learn Arabic due to media being used that does not match with the learning process, while some of them do not practice using Arabic in daily conversation. Based on this situation, the author conducted research using animation media to improve learning speaking skills at the school using action research approach. The results of this study show that the continuity of the learning process with the media is very effective in improving the language proficiency particularly speaking skills. Furthermore, they are also delighted with the use of animation media in the learning process. Keywords: Learning Arabic; Speaking Skills; Animation Media

Abstract

The aims of the research are to identify the process of using picture and singing method in teaching vocabulary; to identify students’ responses toward the use of picture and singing method in teaching vocabulary; and to identify the effectiveness of using picture and singing method in teaching vocabulary at SDIK Nurul Quran. The process of using picture and singing methods was achieved by providing several songs and displaying pictures related to the material to be learned and the teacher avoided to give translation in the students’ native language (Bahasa Indonesia). Finally, the test result showed that t-score t= 5.037 was higher than t- table t= 1.684 (0.05) = 99.9% (0.001) which indicated that using picture and singing methods for the first grade “Al-Falaq” students of SDIK Nurul Quran was effective Keywords: Singing Method; Picture; Vocabulary

Abstract

National education management in Indonesia as a whole still remains to be centralized, so that less encouraging democratization and decentralization of education. Basically, education management issues concerning the efficiency in the utilization of existing resources. National education management is a neat strategy to overcome the negative effects of globalization. Hence strengthening it will steer globalization in a positive direction for the development of the nation. Centralized management system of education that has been proven to not bring significant progress to improve the quality of education in general.
