Abstract

ABSTRACT The main task of the Indonesia Navy is to enforce the law and maintain security in the territorial sea of national jurisdiction, so that the Indonesian Navy is required to have the main tool of weapons systems (Alutsista) are always ready to carry out the task. The frequent occurrence of accidents experienced by the Indonesian Warship (KRI). This reduces the ability of Warship in performing the task. The purpose of this research is to investigate the causes and effects of accidents, and seek risk mitigation that is considered appropriate. Formal Safety Assessment (FSA) is a structured and systematic methodology used for maritime safety analysis. The fault tree analysis is used to investigate the cause of marine accidents and the event tree analysis is used to determine the impact of an accident. The results of this study are FSA can be effectively applied in accident investigations, although the calculation of cost benefit analysis for warships can be ignored because the Warship task cannot be compared to the value of money.  Keywords: Task Operation, Warship, FSA, fault tree analysis, event tree analysis

Abstract

ABSTRACT This paper is about designing motion control system with 2-DOF motion equation to be applied to an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) system. The 2-DOF motion equation which consists of surge and roll motion in the form of equations of nonlinear motion. The control system design applied to the ITSUNUSA AUV system uses the Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) method. The simulation results of the PID control system with the motion equation with 2-DOF on the ITSUNUSA AUV system show that the system proves to be stable at a predetermined set-point with an error of 0.01% for surge motion and that with an error of 4.2% for roll motion.  Keywords: AUV, motion control, PID

Abstract

The scheduling of production floor is a sophisticated problem which seeks the optimal task allocation to certain resources under a number of constraints. The use of optimization techniques facilitates the determination of acceptable solutions that considered optimized for a specific problem. This paper proposes production scheduling solution based on job priority in a Non-Deterministic Polynomial-time hard (NP-hard) problem. The case study was taken from the Spirit Aerosystem Project, particularly in the Inboard Outer Fixed Leading Egde - Drive Rib 1 component production process. The problem consists of finding the machine operations schedule, taking into account the precedence constraints. The main objective is to minimize total delays or tardiness. The genetic algorithm was employed to determine the optimized production scheduling solution. The parameter for genetic operators in this study consists of a roulette wheel selection, 1 elitist chromosome, partially-mapped crossover mutation and 1 point mutation. The termination condition was achieved when there has been no improvement in the population for 30 iterations.The results show that the algorithm is capable to generate optimum production schedule with minimum tardiness for the given problem.

Abstract

Image processing shooter-based Information System is very useful for STTAL, which has a visionto become a center for the development of defense science and technology in the field of military,maritime and reliable seas at the regional level in realizing the independence of the main weaponssystem.STTAL has the mission of organizing higher education programs to produce human resourceswith Indonesian character and personality, based on science and technology that are of high quality andrelevant to the defense needs of the military, maritime and marine departures. In carrying out its duties asan educational institution, STTAL also carries out its obligations as the Indonesian National Army. So withthat STTAL often hold short barrel or pistol shooting exercises. In a series of short barrel or pistolshooting activities, each process of recording values is still carried out visually, that is by looking directlyat the target and counting manually, so that it takes a lot of members of the shooting committee and takesa long time in recording values. We design a application of image processing information system basedshots which can be used in shooting exercises to facilitate all members in carrying out shooting exercisesat STTAL. In this application the shooter can see firsthand the value of the shot obtained so that it canconcentrate fully in carrying out a shooting exercise. In this application also makes it easy for the head ofthe shooting committee to make a report to the commander quickly and accurately, for the commander tosee first hand the results of the shooting practice and it's easy to take a decision on shooting practice.Keywords: Value Marker, Shooting, Image Process.

Abstract

Information systems and technology are currently developing rapidly, so computers can beused as security tools automatically with the addition of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)technology. Sattahti security personnel in the detention room are required to always be ready to carryout security, supervision within the scope of the detention room. So far, Sattahti personnel inconducting surveillance and guarding detainees in and out of the room still use padlock locks so thatsecurity is less than the maximum, meeting SOP standards so that some detainees have a chance toescape, so that Sattahti personnel cannot properly monitor prisoners because there is no regulatingsystem detention rooms are better IT-based. Based on the above problems, it is necessary to designand build a detention room security information system using RFID technology. So that every sattahtipersonnel can be accessed in the security system information system database of the detention room.This is very helpful for sattahti personnel in the process of guarding detainees. This system can do anautomatic lock along with the time for each personnel who bring prisoners in and out of the detentionroom, by using serial communication from a personal computer (PC) to a microcontroller (reader RFIDstater kit ID-12 LA) so that it will read the identity card (tag) RFID) every person. This detention roomsecurity information system is useful to accelerate and facilitate personnel in changing duty pickets tothe next personnel regarding the whereabouts of all the strength of the prison guard personnel atSATTAHTI.Keywords: Information on detention room security, RFID.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Sonic Layer Depth is the vertical distance from surface to the depth where the speed of sound reach it?s local maximum. Global Navy as well as Indonesan Navy operates in this kind of layers on a daily basis, wether it be in an anti submarine warfare operation through its ships and aircrafts or in an anti-surface warfare operation waged by its submarines. For the navy, the importance of knowing the exact value of the SLD is because it determines the minimum cut off frequency and sound wave propagation above which sound tends to be trapped and below which a shadow zone exist. This has a direct impact on where the navy operates its sensors and places its platforms in the water column. The best way to estimate SLD is by performing own measurement on the ocean using instrument such as expendable bathytermographs, which can be relatively expensive and time consuming for an operational navy ships, furthermore such measurement may be impractical in the case of mission planning or emergencies. Dedicated oceanography survey for the purpose of science and defense is relatively scarce due to prioritization concerning to the budget available resulting lack of time series in situ CTD observation which cover full annual cycle variation in Indonesia waters. Banda Indonesia Through Flow Dynamic Experiment (BIDE) is multi institution and bilateral oceanography experiment led by Indonesian scientist which utilizes argo float to perform in situ CTD measurement in Banda Sea to get an adequate time series data that cover full annual cycle variation. The dataset is publicly available so defense community as well may utilize the data for defense interest such as sonic layer depth variation analysis in Banda Sea.   Keyword : sonic layer depth, BIDE, argo float, undersea warfare, tactical environment

Abstract

ABSTRACT Indonesian Navy has a strategic project of building three units of submarines in collaboration with DSME South Korea. In the development cooperation submarine contract DSME also include the implementation of Technology Transfer (TT) between South Korea DSME with PT.PAL Indonesia. Therefore necessary strategies to get success TT process submarines. The task force Navy submarine construction that has always worked between DSME and PT.PAL has helped realize the moral burden for the technology transfer program. How Submarine Task Force strategy to ensure the success of PT.PAL accept TT of DSME? SWOT analysis tries to analyze the variables that influence the strategy and product that work discipline, facilities and infrastructure, the relationship between team performance and PT.PAL DSME is a variable that must be maintained and improved. Abstract

ABSTRACT Maintaining stability of the National jurisdiction security, particularly in the Indonesian eastern waters is one of the roles of Indonesian Navy which is implemented in the Maritime Security Opeation (MSO) by assigning Navy Patrol Ships (PC). In terms of capabilities and the number of Indonesian PC compared to the extensive area of the MSO sector, it still considered to be not optimal, so the Navy need to think and perform right calculations in the assignment of PC and choose Navy Bases as the initial position of MSO by PC. This study aims to create a set covering model in calculating the assignment of patrol ships to create a set covering model to calculate the assignment of patrol ships optimally by minimizing assigned patrol ships number however can still cover all patrol sectors. This model also used the Analytic Network Process (ANP) approach to select the Naval base as the initial base for patrol ships in implementing MSO. Optimization results were to assign 12 patrol ships which could cover 18 patrol ships and 3 Naval bases from 9 bases that can be used as an initial base for PC in the implementation MSO.  Keywords: Naval Maritime Security Operations (MSO), Set Covering, Analytic Network Process (ANP)

Abstract

ABSTRACT Scheduling is an assignment activity related to a number of constraints, a number of events that can occur in a period of time and place or location so that the objective function as closely as possible can be fulfilled. In the hierarchy of decision making, scheduling is the last step before the start of an operation. Scheduling the assignment of KRI in Koarmatim is an interesting topic to be discussed and resolved using a mathematical method. The scheduling process of KRI assignments at Koarmatim is done to produce annual JOP / JOG. This process requires not only rapid follow-up, but also requires systematic steps. The scheduling of assignments applied by Koarmatim is currently carried out by personnel by not using mathematical calculations. The ship assignment scheduling process in this research was carried out using the Binary Integer Programming (BIP) method approach with the aim of minimizing costs and maximizing the purpose of the ship assignment. The scheduling observed was 25 ships carrying out operations for 52 weeks (1 year). The mathematical formulation of the BIP model is made up of one objective function and Three constraint functions. Then the development of the BIP model is then completed, the computer uses Excel Solver. The results obtained that the BIP model applied to scheduling KRI Koarmatim assignments is the maximum coverage area reached is 93,651,234 NM2, with an area safeguard level of 76,11 from the entire area of operating sector I to IX (1,230,442 NM2). BIP is an appropriate method to be used as a method in scheduling the assignment of KRI in Koarmatim.  Keywords: Scheduling, Ship assignments, Binary Integer Programming

Abstract

ABSTRACT The production activities of a company are influenced by sufficient availability of raw materials. The availability of raw materials will be fulfilled if the supplier regularly sends raw materials in accordance with the planned delivery time. However, each supplier has different capabilities in terms of supply capacity, price, product quality, and delivery time. Determining the right supplier will help the company maintain its production process. This study aims to identify which suppliers are selected to fulfill the demand for each production period and determine allocation of raw material orders to each selected supplier. The model developed to determine selected suppliers have been an integer linear programming. The model has the objective function of minimizing the total cost which consists of purchasing, ordering and holding costs. The constraints include supplier capacity, order quantity allocation, demand, inventory balance, safety stock, timely delivery, non negative and binary. Calculation results in giving a numerical example shows that the developed model is able to select suppliers per period. The model is also able to determine the allocation of raw material orders to selected suppliers. Sensitivity analysis is done to find out which parameters are sensitive. The results of the sensitivity analysis indicate that the parameters of supplier capacity and demand are sensitive parameters.  Keywords: Supplier selection, order quantity allocation, integer linear programming
