JURNAL COMMUNITY PENGAWAS DINAMIKA SOSIAL (JCPDS) merupakan jurnal elektronik online yang diterbitkan oleh lembaga penerbitan Jurusan SOSIOLOGI, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Universitas Teuku Umar. JCPDS memuat kajian seperti MASALAH-MASALAH SOSIAL, Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Pembangunan Sosial, dan Perubahan Sosial & Budaya. Kesemuanya difokuskan pada masyarakat pedesaan dan pesisir sebagaimana visi misi prodi dan Universitas yang mengarah pada agro and marine industry. Tujuan penerbitan jurnal ini adalah salah satu sarana untuk mewadahi kebutuhan peningkatkan kuantitas dan kualitas karya ilmiah. Abstract

The environment is a place where people live while providing various possibilities to meet their needs. Humans are connected to nature through culture by a system of symbols, meanings, and values. The problematic relation between humans and the environment currently known as ?hybrid complexity? involves another analytical tradition such as political economy, symbolic anthropology, and historical anthropology. Political ecology as a study with a transdisciplinary perspective try to gain an explanation about the relationship between humans and the environment not in a static and harmonious fabricate, but in chaotic (noisy and complicated) interconnections. The basic assumption of the study of political ecology is the issue of inequality: the existence of asymmetric forces that produce socio-economic inequality, and these problems are present in the relation between human life and the environment. Humans relate to the environment through a diverse network of interests at various levels and multi-capacities. The scale is one of the important concepts that deserve scrutiny in order to understand the workings of the political ecology approach. The scale is the ?heuristic terminology? of culture. Humans are the main element of the scale that connects culture to its reality and as a feature of culture itself. Thus, the scale can be understood as a cultural attribution of the unit of explanation which includes the size, level, and relations of events and actions that mediate human relations and the environment of natural phenomena and socio-cultural phenomena. Abstract

Masyarakat pesisir Aceh merupakan masyarakat yang hidup di dalam kawasan Provinsi Aceh. Mereka mendiami daerah pantai sebagai salah satu tempat tinggal yang diyakini cocok untuk mereka bersosialisasi. Sebagian besar bermata pencaharian sebagai nelayan, kebutuhuan hidup masyarakat didaerah ini diperoleh dari sumber daya alam di wilayah pesisir yang di dominasi oleh usaha perikanan pada umumnya.Situasi ini terjadi karena masyarakat setempat memiliki tingkat pendidikan yang masih rendah dan masih berada pada garis kemiskinan. Pada setiap sosial ?Cultur Masyarakat tentunya memiliki sistem nilai yang melekat pada budaya masyarakat, terutama yang memiliki budaya Agama tertentu, seperti di Aceh yang menganut Syariat Islam dengan mempertahankan nilai-nilai religius dalam tatanan Pancasila. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Gampong Padang Seurahet Kabupaten Aceh Barat guna untuk mengetahui kajian secara mendalam tentang bagaimana kearifan lokal dan identitas yang masih dipertahankan oleh masyarakat pesisir Padang Seurahet yang bertempat tinggal di daerah tersebut, juga untuk mengetahui mata pencaharian masyarakat pesisir Padang Seurahet setelah mereka tinggal di wilayah relokasi dengan jarak yang  jauh dengan laut dan untuk mengetahui secara keseluruhan potret sosial kehidupan masyarakat Padang Seurahet secara  alami. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan Pemilihan informan dilakukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang lebih menitikberatkan atas pertimbangan-pertimbangan tertentu agar dapat tercapai data yang diharapkan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa karakteristik masyarakat pesisir dan perdesaan khususnya masyarakat Padang Seurahet mampu berperan aktif dalam mengelola alam dan potensinya seperti kualitas hidup, kualitas lingkungan meskipun memiliki ragam profesi yang berbeda. Perlunya adanya kerja keras dari aparatur desa gampong dalam bidang pendidikan untuk merubah pola fikir masyarakat setempat terutama para generasi muda untuk lebih mengenal perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan tekhnologi. Peningkatan Keagamaan perlu ada pemikiran yang lebih maju dan Perlunya peningkatan Model pembangunan ekonomi, lingkungan, serta penguatan kapasitas masyarakat dan management dalam mengelola sumber daya alam  sesuai dengan potensi dan pengalaman yang  dimilikinya menuju kehidupan yang lebih mandiri.

Abstract

Abstrtak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan dan memetakan model pendidikan keluarga  sebagai upaya mencegah perceraian  pada masyarakat Suku Sasak. Pendekatan yang digunakan  adalah  penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa model program pendidikan keluarga pada masyarakat dilakukan dengan tahapan sebagai berikut;  (1) Orientasi Program Pendidikan, meliputi; menyiapkan lembaga masyarakat, Orientasi Nara Sumber, Orientasi Obyek Sasaran. (2). Penetapan Program Pendidikan keluarga. Ada 3 tiga program yang dipilih masyarakat sebagai program pendidikan yang dapat mencegah  terjadinya perceraian : a) Program Pendidikan Gender dan Seksualitas. b) Program Pendidikan Hukum Keluarga. c) Program Pendidikan Konseling Sebelum Nikah. (3) Pelaksanaan Program. Untuk merealisasikan program pendidikan keluarga guna mencegah terjadinya perceraian dilaksanakan dengan pola pendidikan dan latihan keterampilan berkeluarga, workshop, dan klinik konsultasi pernikahan. Kata Kunci. Abstract

Cultural systems that play an important role in people's lives, especially those related to local wisdom in the livelihoods of the people. This study aims to determine the culture of the livelihood system of Tutup Ngisor?s Village. The method in this research is qualitative with purposive sampling technique. As for conducting data validity using triangulation of sources with in-depth interviews as data collection techniques. This research was examined using structural theory and agents from Margaret S. Archer. In this theory, the morphogenetic approach can be seen in two forms, namely morphogenesis and morphostasis. There is the influence of agents and structures in interactions and actions so as to bring up structures that also react and change with the actions and interactions of the agents. Based on the findings of the field, the people of Tutup Ngisor?s Village have a number of livelihood elements that have experienced technical changes (morphogenesis) and there are some elements that have morphostatic (unchanged). Thus there is a cultural change in the livelihood systems of Tutup Ngisor?s Village community.

Abstract

This paper is based on a preliminary study of the survival of Pala?o ethnic group living in Banggi Island located in the northern part of Sabah, Malaysia. Banggi Island is inhabited by various ethnic groups and dominated by Bajau Ubian, Dusun Bonggi, Suluk, Kegayan, Bajau Sama? and Molbog ethnic groups. Today, Banggi Island is also inhabited by the ethnic of Pala?o, also known as Bajau Laut or sea gypsies, and Palauh/Sama Dilaut, which originate in the Semporna waters of the Sulu and Celebes Sea. Based on the qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, the Sea Gypsies off the coast of Karakit town, Banggi Island was found to be able to adapt to changes in the environment and adapt it to their suitability. The need to continue living is seen as an essential part of this ethnic 'migration'. The study found that for survival, the Pala'o tribe in the context of this study adopted four survival strategies namely sea migration to land, physical strategy, social strategy and economic strategy. However, the fate of Pala'o's ethnic group remained largely unchanged. They are still subject to poverty and they have always been, and still remain, ethnic 'without citizenship'. The success of a survival strategy is seen to be closely related to the economic sector and the work it does, knowledge, skills and education but it does not apply to this Pala'o tribe. Their lives are still being faced by the hardships of the poor but their insistence on life has given them a chance to continue living even though their lives on the land are different from their life's experiences in the great sea.

Abstract

This paper aims to understand the practice of using leisure time in the Jalan Roda (Jarod) area of the city of Manado. This research is focused on coffee shops located in the culinary area of jalan roda in the city of Manado. The determination of this area by considering several aspects, namely the representation of coffee shops located in the city centers and the jalan roda area (Jarod) is a gathering point for all people in the city of Manado. Researchers used a qualitative descriptive analysis aimed at describing in depth the phenomenon of the existence of a culinary jalan roda in the city of Manado as a means or space for leisure expression for the people of Manado. Based on this research, jalan roda area (Jarod) the Manado City is a place where people can relax. This area is a gathering point for people from various backgrounds, ranging from students, brokers, artists, cultural figures, journalists, business people, and even public officials. Different from the concept of coffee, or modern coffee shops in general. Coffee shops in jalan roda (Jarod) is somewhat simpler. Far from modern impression. If in general the concept of modern coffee or coffee maker puts forward an attractive and instagramable interior design for the visitors. Jalan roda region (Jarod) actually retains it?s classic style. The table model is made lengthwise so that everyone who visits can sit at the table with other people who have not been known before.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how Untirta Sociology Education students present themselves on Instagram, why Untirta Sociology Education students choose Instagram social media to present themselves compared to other social media. This study uses qualitative research with descriptive research methods, and data collection techniques through interviews in depth with interviewees. The theory used in this study is the Dramaturgy Theory by Erving Goffman. Informants in this study were two active users of Instagram in Untirta's Sociology Education. The results of this study are Untirta Sociology Education students using filters, feeds, uploading photos or videos, and uploading Instastory to present themselves well on Instagram.

Abstract

Artikel ini membincangkan hubungan antara penglibatan peserta oleh Yayasan Sejahtera (YS) dalam tiga peringkat iaitu pembuatan keputusan, pelaksanaan dan penerimaan faedah ke atas pendayaupayaan sosial peserta.  Dalam pembangunan komuniti, penglibatan dilihat sebagai satu matlamat apabila penglibatan secara langsung ahli komuniti dalam proses pembuatan keputusan, merancang dan melaksanakan aktiviti bagi memenuhi keperluan dan/atau mengatasi masalah yang dihadapi mereka. Penglibatan menyediakan ruang mempengaruhi dan berkongsi kuasa secara kolektif iaitu kuasa untuk menentukan dan memperoleh kawalan ke atas kehidupan mereka. Melalui penglibatan, banyak faedah diperoleh oleh komuniti sama ada bersifat kebendaan dan bukan kebendaan yang mampu meningkatkan keupayaan, kemampuan dan kebolehan mereka (Asnarulkhadi, 2005).  Kajian ini merupakan kajian survei dengan pengumpulan data   menggunakan borang soal selidik.  Kajian ini menggunakan teknik persampelan rawak berstrata untuk memilih responden daripada 13 projek di ketiga-tiga negeri iaitu Kelantan, Sabah dan Sarawak.  Sebanyak 305 responden terlibat dalam kajian ini. Umumnya, kajian ini mendapati bahawa peramal penerimaan faedah (varians 43.8%) dalam penglibatan merupakan peramal tunggal ke atas pendayaupayaan sosial berbanding peramal lain iaitu pembuatan keputusan dan pelaksanaan dalam kalangan peserta projek.  Rasionalnya apabila ahli komuniti terlibat dengan projek faedah yang diterima bersama menjalin hubungkan ikatan antara mereka.  Mereka terdiri daripada satu kelompok yang sama daripada aspek penerimaan faedah yang diterima dan secara tidak langsung membentuk satu komuniti yang berdasarkan keperluan dan minat.  Ini boleh mengizinkan pendayaupayaan sosial berlaku bila mana wujudnya interaksi dan perkongsian masalah antara mereka sehingga mewujudkan satu ikatan perhubungan yang mampu membentuk keupayaan dalam proses sosial mereka.  Penglibatan peserta dalam projek YS dilihat mampu dijadikan sebagai medium untuk memperbaiki tahap kehidupan mereka ke arah yang lebih baik dengan kekuatan ikatan kebersamaan antara ahli komuniti memberi impak yang kuat antara mereka untuk saling mengambil tahu sekaligus membentuk daya upaya dalam menangani masalah secara bersama.Kata Kunci: Penglibatan komuniti, pendayaupayaan sosial, projek komuniti, pembangunan komuniti.

Abstract

Indonesia as a country that is considered to have a wealth of disasters requires everyone to understand the potential for disasters in their respective regions. Not just understanding but also knowing how to deal with and even tame. The tsunami in Aceh which shocked the world forced international institutions to play an active role in disaster management. But mistakes in disaster management can have fatal consequences because in general disaster management is also accompanied by the restoration of social and cultural values there is a shift in social values in society. In this article, it is revealed how the Keub Gampoeng community performs the survey and reveals how disaster management can cause changes in the values of society. The study was conducted qualitatively with in-depth interviews and observation data collection techniques. The results showed that the community since before the tsunami had been accustomed to doing meseuraya, namely cleaning the surrounding environment, mosques, and also the community as individuals, especially those who were carrying out khanduri or carrying out celebrations such as marriage, circumcision, or showering (birth procession). Meanwhile, the handling of natural disasters by several non-government organizations (NGOs) can also result in changes in attitudes towards business activities. Especially handling disasters that are considered inappropriate. It can be exemplified is the implementation of cash for a work program that is echoed as cooperation paid. The research data shows that the community is eventually accustomed to doing the payment for payment so that when village officials conduct the meeting without payment, the community is no longer eager to implement the meeting.
