Abstract

The river is the most important thing for human life, one component of the environment especially for who lives in the city. Changes in the function of some or all of the land area of its original function is a problem that develops today, one of which land transfer function in the river border. The river border is the left and right crosses of the riverbed defined as a protection boundary. The existence of regulations that regulate the river banks, making the river bank area martapura Sungai Kelurahan Jingah a place of research. This study aims to identify and analyze the suitability of land use along the river banks Martapura Sungai Jingah River with the applicable regulations.

Abstract

As the thousand city river, Banjarmasin has so many stream corridor settlement with specific character. Some new development brought new plans for those settlement which aim to make a greener neighborhood through some greening projects. This paper reviewed the green space impacts in stream corridor settlement as an effort to form a greener neighborhood. Field survey, observation and in depth interview also has been done with local residents to get clearer picture regarding how the greening project has given effect to their stream corridor neighborhood. The result shows that the green space impacts in stream corridor settlement in Banjarmasin still need to be improved in the future to achieve a greener neighborhood.

Abstract

Current development is increasingly prevalent in areas especially in urban areas, such buildings can be either residential buildings or trade and services that can improve the economy, be it for the government or for the surrounding community but also often development can have an impact on the environment so that causing problems of such development as in some commercial buildings on Jalan Sutoyo S Kelurahan Teluk Dalam Banjarmasin Tengah grew in tandem with increasing settlements. These developments trigger socio-cultural and economic activities, so the settlements on the outskirts (access) prefer to open businesses to improve their economy. Known by the influence of such commercial development on the surrounding settlements, there has been changes to the environment, and comfort. With this concluded that the influence of commercial pembagunan both positive or negative impact. For that we need an effort for commercial development, so as not to harm all aspects of social, economic and environmental.

Abstract

Biomass is an organic material produced through a process of photosynthesis and can be used as an energy source. In general, biomass used as alternative fuel is considered because it has economic value which is relatively cheap because it comes from waste around the community. In addition, biomass is one way to reduce the waste problem in the community. Such as agricultural, livestock and other wastes where the waste is not properly managed and can have adverse effects on the environment. Energy conversion is a change of energy from one to another, so conversion of this biomass energy converts a biomass energy into another energy in which the raw material used comes from waste. The conversion of biomass energy is very beneficial for many sectors. Such as coconut husk that can be converted into thermal energy and beneficial to the crafters of anchovy and like animal feces, especially cattle that can be converted into thermal energy or biogas and can be beneficial to the surrounding community. Therefore, the conversion of this biomass energy while providing a positive impact in addition to the community also has a positive impact on the environment for now as well as years to come.

Abstract

Private Green Spaces have become a necessity for residential areas. However, it requires initiative from the community itself to provide it, while the initiative comes from understanding the community. This study needs to be done in order to analyze the vegetation patterns of private green spaces formed based on the level of education and peoples understanding of the green space. The data needed in this study is divided into two, namely the understanding of the community and the vegetation patterns of private green spaces. Understanding the community is obtained from the level of education and community preferences regarding private green spaces. The vegetation pattern is the actual condition in the private green space of the community. The results obtained show that the level of education influences peoples understanding and the actual conditions of the private green space of the community. But in general, it turns out that most people have a good understanding of the existence of a private green space. The pattern of vegetation in the private green spaces are in accordance with the requirements for the existence of the private green spaces.

Abstract

Local wisdom in some local communities in Indonesia is used as the basis to manage their environment. Their traditional judgments even in line with sustainable development goals rather than current modern policy. In this paper, we focused on a literature study about the ecological aspect of the local wisdom of South Borneo society, such as their agriculture system, irrigation system, river society, traditional house, and philosophical values. Despite slower productivity compared with using modern technology, we conclude South Borneo?s local wisdom in ecological aspect showed harmonious relationship between humans and their natural environment. The advancement of modern technology, consumerism, and socio-economic competition in accessing natural resources becomes a big challenge for policymakers to achieve sustainable development.

Abstract

Tanah Bumbu Regency is one of the coastal areas that is one of the attractions of local or foreign tourists, but in line with the development of community activities, many settlements around the coastline and continue to increase every year. The coastal area is generally very attractive for fishermen to establish their housing because it is close to the place where they work as a fisherman in the sea. However, the existing settlements are often not concerned with the environment or applying regulations on development and management in coastal areas that have been set in government regulations such as Presidential Regulation No. 5 of 2016 concerning Beach Boundary Limits To discuss this, the research used is the method of reviewing papers or journals, regional government regulations and ministerial regulations, and will be compared and taken several things related to the field. Coastal Areas in Tanah Bumbu Regency are still not suitable. This is because there are no rules regarding the application of coastal boundaries in the coastal suburbs of Tanah Bumbu Regency.

Abstract

The road network matching is very important in the comfort of pedestrian users, with guidelines or regulations that apply to the selection of trees on the road network system as a reference in choosing a park that is suitable for road boundaries. Barabai city which has a lot of mahogany trees on the side of the road, it can be said that Barabai Urban has followed the applicable regulations and the benefits for the tree also provide O2 oxygen which makes the surrounding air fresh so that the air reduces problems with air pollution. large trees are quite dangerous for pedestrians when strong winds and roots that cause damage to road borders with that need a good snack so that these problems are resolved for Barabai Urban.

Abstract

Green Space is a real problem at urban wetland area. Furthermore, adding it without economic value makes people not interested because it is considered to only consume land, time, energy and of course costs. Therefore, it is necessary to study related to the use of wetlands as private green spaces that are economically valuable. On the other hand, agriculture in wetlands has technology derived from local wisdom, namely floating agriculture. Therefore, it is necessary to study the adaptation of floating agriculture on a smaller scale at the level of urban settlements. This research was conducted by creating a miniature model of floating agriculture that can be applied on a private green space scale. the plant used is Celery (Apium graveolens), because This plant was chosen because celery is a wetland vegetable so it is assumed celery can represent the growth of an effective type of vegetable farming in a wetland. Growth measurements were carried out on average growth quality. The test results show that the Urban Floating Farming model can potentially be used as an alternative to green open space for urban communities.
