Abstract

Integrated learning is a teaching and learning approach that takes into account and adjusts to the developmental level of the students (Developmentally Appropriate Practical). The approach that departs from the theory of learning that rejects the drill-system as the basis for the formation of knowledge and intellectual structure of the child. The principles in integrated learning include: 1) the principle of excavation of the theme, 2) the principle of implementation of integrated learning, 3) the principles of evaluation and 4) the principle of reaction. Integrated learning has characteristics: (a) Child-centered (b) Providing direct experience to the child (c) Segregation between fields of study is not clear (d) Presenting concepts from different fields of study in a learning process e) f) Learning outcomes can develop in accordance with the interests and needs of children. Abstract

Selama ini manajemen kurikulum pendidikan pesantren hanya dikenal sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang hanya mengandalkan manajemen kurikulum tradisional dan sangat menghindari terhadap kurikulum pendidikan modern. Namun faktanya, banyak lulusan pesantren yang mampu bersaing dengan lulusan pendidikan modern dalam segala bidang. Salah satu keberhasilan pesantren tidak terlepas dari peran kiai sebagai hidden curriculum (kurikulum tersembunyi) yang mengedepankan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter sekaligus menjadi reference personbagi para santri. Belakangan pesantren mulai menerapkan kurikulum baru tanpa meninggalkan kurikulum sebelumnya yang dikelola (manaj) secara berkesinambungan. Keterpaduan antara kurikulum lama dan baru memperkuat pendidikan pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang unik dan mempunyai kekhasan tersendiri. Secara rinci tujuan pendidikan pesantren meliputi meninggikan budi pekerti, melatih dan mempertinggi semangat, menghargai nilai-nilai spiritual dan kemanusiaan, mengajarkan tingkah-laku yang jujur dan bermoral, dan mempersiapkan para santri untuk hidup sederhana dan bersih hati

Abstract

This study attempts to describe the implementation of green school program and its effect on the students’ learning motivation in Junior High School 26 Surabaya. This school is chosen since it has carried the program long time ago, and always gets more advanced lavels now rather than other around schools. By using mix research method, the study results in a finding that green school program in SMPN 26 Surabaya is well organized and gets a correlation score, using linear regression analysis, average 0.529 and level of significance 0,000. It means that green school program has positive impact on students’ learning motivation in that school

Abstract

Indonesia's education world has never been separated from slashing humanitarian issues. In Madura, precisely in Sampang district, a student allegedly persecuted his teacher to death. This event is a sad story in our education world. Concept structures, teaching materials, and procedures in the organs of the world of education require reformation. Abstract

Group relation within any heterogeneous society in which people with their different characteristics and identities live together tends to run unequally due to the majorities’ domination toward minorities. Their spirit of domination is philosophically based on Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution “The Survival of the Fittest” which later incarnates itself in social domain and is used to justify that their domination upon minority groups is a kind of natural selection process. When this idea is perceived continuously from generation to generation, minorities will be the everlasting disadvantaged victims of the other group’s domination and suffer persistent annihilation and oppression, extending from the most moderate form like prejudice to the most extreme one such as discrimination. Besides being intended to discuss the complicated relation between majority and minority groups and explore the significance of the spirit of domination in determining the dynamics of group relation, this study is also aimed at offering some alternative ways to create egalitarian atmosphere in a heterogeneous society. Indeed, such new future is not impossible to be reached as far as reconciliation process is consistently carried out by both groups. Reconciliation, which might involve assimilation, accommodation, amalgamation, and pluralism, is the main key to realize equal and mutual relation between majority and minority groups

Abstract

Pesantren merupakan suatu lembaga yang memiliki prinsip dan karakter yang khas untuk terlibat atau melibatkan diri dalam membangun masyarakat. Dengan kata lain, keberadaan pesantren telah membuka ruang bagi masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi mengembangkan dan mengelola potensi-potensi yang dimiliki masyarakat. Sistem tradisionalistik pesantren yang selama ini kuat dipegang,  ternyata mampu membuat masyarakat tertarik untuk membantu kinerja pesantren. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa eksistensi pesantren sebagai sebuah lembaga pendidikan yang memegang kuat nilai-nilai budaya asli masyarakat Indonesia mempunyai pengaruh yang kuat terhadap masyarakat

Abstract

Pemimpin sebagai salah satu motor utama pengembangan lembaga pendidikan, dipengaruhi oleh model kepemimpinan yang dimiliki dan digunakan untuk memimpin lembaga pendidikan yang dipimpinnya. Dalam hal ini, salah satu model kepemimpinan yang dapat digunakan adalah model kepemimpinan Islami yang menekankan bukan sekedar pada kemampuan untuk mempengaruhi staff untuk melakukan suatu aktivitas, namun lebih dari itu, kemampuan tersebut diiringi dengan karakteristik individu yang dekat dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam. Kepemimpinan islami merupakan keseimbangan antara kepemimpinan dengan konsep duniawi maupun konsep ukhrawi, menggapai tujuan hakiki lebih dari sekedar tujuan organisasi yang bersifat sementara, menuntut komitmen tinggi kepada prinsip-prinsip Islam dan menempatkan tugas kepemimpinan tidak sekedar tugas kemanusiaan yang dipertanggungjawabkan hanya kepada anggota, tetapi juga di hadapan Allah SWT
