Abstract

The dance studio in societal life is very expected because young generation have less interested intradition arts especially dancing and local arts like karawitan. Our people very expect the dance studio and other similar studio in their life to give necessary skill in dancing, either to build field ofen deavor or enter work force. Method which used is lecture, drill, and creative. The dance studio results in more advantages for society.Key words : dance studio, Javanese tradition.

Abstract

The aim of the Community Services Group Program is to increase the number of visitspenginformasian through Sisa Hartaku and marketing globally Museum. Forms of developmentactivities carried out in the form of media publicity in the form of websites. Training provided tosupport these activities in the form of workshops pengoperasiaan camera, online article writingworkshops, workshop development and maintenance of websites. Subject training on this programare the members of the group manager of the museum and gift shop. The method used in thetraining is through discussion and practice. Through this training is expected to provide a solutionto the problem petrified low levels of traffic in Sisa Hartaku Museum. The training lasted for eightsessions, with training materials through the planning, preparation, manufacture, testing andmaintenance. Form of training starts from the discussion of the expected material relatedpublications by program partners. Mount Merapi and Wedhus Gembel (Cloud Heat) selected asmanifested in the form of brand and logo. Brand is an important guide in this publication mediadevelopment program. Partners are expected to recognize the special characteristics of businessand then used as an attraction for the public. So that potential visitors would come to the rest of mypossessions Museum directly after getting information via the website www.sisahartaku.com. Trainingresults indicate that the importance of website ownership for driving the business at this time.Website created quite informative and was able to increase the number of visitors to the Museum.Approximately thirty percent increase in the number of visits made media than pre- publicationcan be achieved. This has an impact on increasing the number manually souvenir product salesamounted to one hundred percent, but it has not happened yet online transactions during theexecution of programs.Key words : website, museum, Merapi, Wedus Gembel.

Abstract

Wreda Laras Art Studio needs for guidance urgently based on taking care of others as consideration that its elder members have different social status. Its members consist of PWRI member surroundings District of Karanganyar, approximately 40-45 people, between 65-75 years old, femalesor males. Wreda Laras Art Studio joined with tradition art like musicians, singers, narrators, and puppeteers. The aim of this activity is making the tradition culture still alive and developing atalent as singers, musicians, or puppeteers. Learning system at Wreda Laras Art Studio—especially puppetry—runs without trainer, then the practice is based on personal experience of its members when they are be PNS (civil servant) actively. This condition is very apprehensive but proud of. The members of Wreda Laras Art Studio have spirit for learning although in elder year. There are some problems with in this learning system: What about the technique for making learning balance basedon the experience of each member? How to get learning system atically? The main aim of this activity is describe and get a proper technique to make learning among members with various experiences harmoniously and have a proper technique about puppetry. The learning result tha tachieved during learning is balancing the relevant concept of puppetry tradition which adapted tocondition of each member and making mental character building as a recovery effort in daily life.The methods which used in puppetry learning at Wreda Laras Art Studio are theory method (cacakansable) and puppetry practice. The materials that performed are: jejer Astino, bedhol jejer, kedhatonan,imbuk and cangik scenes, paseban jaba scene included budalan and kapalan, budalan kreta. However,all members are expected master material such as dhodhogan and keprakan, kombangan LadrangSekar Lesah, dhodhogan and keprakan in jaranan scene, dhodhogan suwuk gendhing Ketawan and Ladrang, and Sabrangan scene.Key words : Wreda Laras, Elder, puppetry

Abstract

Nowadays, Students of Elementary school are less interested in Larasan Gamelan (melody of music).It caused by limited time for them to knowing and studying music melody. PKM activities conductedby Indonesian Art Institute of Surakarta especially at Al-Islam Surakarta Elementary School haveprovided a chance for knowing and studying music melody. Although there are many challengesand inhibitors, music melody conservation must to do. Method for introducing larasan (melody)among student at elementary school needs for improvement to stimulate their interest. Abstract

Indonesian Art Institute (ISI) Surakarta is one of the state educational institution of traditional art which have a mission in arts. The mission include both in art research and art producing/artworkthat is dedicated to human benefit. This art is always exist because it stands in an environment that support its existence. The community continually gives its contribution by giving a feed back. The development of art can be realized by the existence of arts creation intensly and supported by creative workers such as teachers, artists, critics, and art performers who have the ability to produce arts openly. There fore Indonesian Art Institute Surakarta as a barometer of art research and studies have an active role in holding a public service program for example in art studies. Art studies become supporting pillars of Javanese cultural art power this informal institution have big contribution in conservation, progress and the development of the Javanese arts. One of them isNgesthi Budaya studio. Ngesthi Budaya studio is located in Tegal Asri RT 04/07 Bejen, Karanganyar.This art studio is a target of training and constructing with the goal to make the pedalangan traditional art in progress and will not be extracted from its cultural root as a result of the influenceof global culture. The moral responsibility force the academics teachers of department pedalanganISI Surakarta to give more attention to this art studio. It is hoped that by the public service program can make Ngesthi Budaya art studio more exist, and transfers pedalangan art science academicly to the students. The form can be realized by training and constructing program about pedalangan elements to increase the students concept and skill in pedalangan field. This program may increasethe “Ngesthi Budaya” art studio existence in the society that may have attention from the young generation to respect, and love, and have some interest to conserve the traditional art heritaged from uor ancestors which contain high values.Key words :sanggar Ngesti Budhaya, art, shadow play.

Abstract

PKM activity is one of University Three Services (Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi) that lecturer has todo. PKM is an activity conducted by lecturer as university interest toward society. This activity expected has direct effect for people. For this reason, it is adjusted with people needs. The assistance for batik Ponorogo is activity conducted by lecturer from Indonesian Art Institute of Surakarta (ISI Surakarta) at High School 1 Ponorogo (SMAN 1 Ponorogo). ISI Surakarta chooses this place as its interest toward batik especially Ponorogo and it represented by assist young generation to carry oncultural heritage. The headmaster and officials accept this activity with planning batik uniform fortheir students, of course, batik creation by them selves. Batik training aimed to give necessary skill like design skill and make handmade batik. After training, students are expected can make handmade batik fabric, make batik design and batik creation as the beginning step to realize batik uniform of SMAN 1 Ponorogo East Java. Expectation of PKM activity is students motivated to have creationin batik motif and then new motif of batik will emerge at Ponorogo (especially) and this nation (generally).Key words : batik, Ponorogo, uniform.

Abstract

Making souvenir by resin technique is chosen within PKM (social service) program because it isunknown at Selo, and easily to do in busy time of youths. Furthermore, it is expected will developand be income source of local society. For this reason, PKM team selects two art groups which willreceive meaningful training and assistance to improve their economic income and revive localtourism object. This PKM aimed to: 1) give a discourse about making souvenir by resin technique,2) introduce and give training about alternative souvenir design, 3) give assistance about makingof model, silicon mold and foundry by resin technique. The method which used is training andassistance. The sequence of activities are preparing module, make coordination with trainees,preparing material and equipment, design souvenir, making model, training and assistance formaking souvenir by resin technique. Training and assistance of PKM conducted in three meetingswith youth organization called Gebyok and three meetings with youth organization called Samiran.Both of them have good participation, enthusiastic and orderly when join the program frombeginning to end. The results of program are: 1) trainees know about souvenir, 2) trainees knowabout material and equipment for making souvenir by resin technique, 3) trainees know aboutfundamental process for making souvenir by resin technique, 4) trainees can make and producesouvenir by resin technique such as: a) key hook with “kuda kepang dance” relief, “topeng” reliefand transparent resin with puppet photograph; b) “Jarang Kepang 1 and 2” relief for wall ornament;c) trainees can mold by resin technique with three small sculptures in “cat”, “girl”, and “bride”model.Key words : resin, souvenir, silicon, and training.
