Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model with Simeli media on cognitive learning outcomes and inter-intrapersonal skills of Grade VI students on science subjects electrical energy materials. The research design used is quantitative quasi-experiment. The population of the research was Grade VI Elementary School students in Jumo District. Sampling technique by purposive sampling, obtained from students as many as 22 from Public Elementary School 1 Jombor, 25 from Public Elementary School Giyono, and 23 from Public Elementary School 1 Kertosari. Research data on cognitive learning outcomes and inter-intrapersonal skills were obtained from tests and observations. Data analysis using Anova test with the help of SPSS 25. The results obtained by an average of cognitive learning outcomes of experimental class I was 92.50, experimental class II was 92.72, and control class was 70.13. The average inter-intrapersonal skills of experimental class I was 82.41, experimental class II was 81.48, and control class was 73.13. These data indicate that the average cognitive learning outcomes and inter-intrapersonal skills of the experimental class are higher than that of the control class. Anova test on cognitive learning outcomes showed Fvalue = 116.210 with a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05, while the Anova test results on inter-intrapersonal skills showed Fvalue = 13.088 with a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05. The conclusion of the CTL model with simile media affects improving cognitive learning outcomes, and inter-intrapersonal skills of Grade VI students on science subjects electric energy material.

Abstract

The implementation of character education in Indonesia show that students have not received proper and maximum character education services because the unavailabilities of integrated character mapped in a tiered and focused manner. This research conducts the integration of character values into the curriculum that is stated in the mathematics syllabus and learning devices for Junior High School grade VII, VIII, and IX that is based on ATONG (Amati Tanya Olah Nalar dan Gagas) in a tiered and focused manner. This research aims to design syllabus and learning devices based on the ATONG approach that integrated character education; produce a valid syllabus and learning devices; and test the effectiveness of the coordinate system learning based on the ATONG approach with Eliciting Activities model that integrated hard work character. This research refers to the Borg & Gall model (2003) which is modified into 5 steps. The learning devices test was conducted in sampling method in grade VIII SMP Kartika XII. The result of expert validation shows that the syllabus and learning devices are valid with a score of 3.60 which is considered as very good; the learning devices test results in an effective learning. This research is success to map characters in a focused and tiered manner on innovative mathematics learning. The mapping of specific cognitive and psychomotor abilities is indispensable because the mapping in the syllabus is still general.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the influence of discovery learning model, ARIAS model, and the collaboration of the discovery learning and ARIAS model on the critical thinking ability of the fifth-grade elementary school students. This study applied a quantitative method in the form of quasi-experimental design using pre-test and post-test scores. The samples in this study were taken by using purposive sampling technique. There were three elementary schools participated in this study, and they were the fifth-grade students at Public Elementary School Kebonagung 2, the fifth-grade students at Public Elementary School Kebonagung 3 and the fifth-grade students at Public Elementary School Prigi 2. The data collection techniques used were descriptive test questions. The results showed that there was an influence of discovery learning model, ARIAS, and the collaboration of the discovery learning and ARIAS model on the critical thinking ability of students. The average value of students' critical thinking skills tests using discovery learning models = 79.38 (good category). The average value of the students' critical thinking skills test on the implementation of the ARIAS model = 85.12 (good category). The average value of the application of the collaboration of discovery learning and ARIAS model = 89.03, included in the excellent category.

Abstract

The assumptions of the intelligent category of students in society are still based on the assessment of knowledge despite authentic assessment. This study aims to describe the science literacy ability of grade VII students of SMPN 2 Bua Ponrang in the knowledge domain consisting of procedural knowledge, epistemic knowledge, and content knowledge. The research method used descriptive quantitative. The sample is determined by using simple random sampling with the number of sample counted 31person. The results showed procedural knowledge of 37, 34%, epistemic knowledge of 34,91% and content knowledge of 27,94%. Maximum score obtained is 55, an average value of 39.77 and a minimum score of 20. It can be concluded improve the ability of science literacy, especially in the domain of knowledge. This research is hoped to give thought contribution in solving science literacy problem so that it can inspire to design activities and factors that can improve science literacy ability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pembelajaran sains dengan media fotonovela untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 24 peserta didik.Metode penelitian menggunakan Mixed Methods desain sequential explanatory. Tahap pertama metode kuantitatif,One-group Pretest-posttest design untuk memperoleh data keefektifan media fotonovela, motivasi belajar, dan pemahaman konsep. Tahap kedua metode kualitatif untuk memperdalam data kuantitatif. Data motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner dan pretest-posttest. Uji validitas kuesioner dan tes dianalisis menggunakan validitas isi yang dikonsultasikan dengan ahli. Uji reliabilitas kuesioner dan tes dilakukan dengan menggunakan Alpha Cronbach dan KR-20. Uji hipotesis menggunakan one sample t-test dan uji gain ternormalisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatanmotivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Hasil uji hipotesis keefektifan media fotonovela diperoleh &nbsp;= 0.9105. Hasil uji gain motivasi belajar diperoleh &nbsp;= 0.05. Hasil uji gain pemahaman konsep diperoleh &nbsp;= 0.3. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran sains dengan media fotonovela efektif dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan pemahaman konsep peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan kognitif, kreativitas, dan memecahkan masalah terhadap sikap ilmiah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, metode kausal dan teknik analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: 1) kemampuan kognitif berpengaruh secara langsung sebesar 10,43% terhadap kemampuan kreativitas, 4,49% terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah, dan 1,96% terhadap sikap ilmiah; 2) kemampuan kreativitas berpengaruh langsung sebesar 6% terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan 5,06% terhadap sikap ilmiah; 3) kemampuan kognitif berpengaruh secara tak langsung sebesar 12,4% terhadap kemampuan memecahkan masalah melalui kemampuan kreativitas, serta berpengaruh tak langsung sebesar 9,23% terhadap sikap ilmiah melalui kemampuan kreativitas. Kemampuan memecahkan masalah tidak berpengaruh terhadap sikap ilmiah siswa dikarenakan siswa SD belum mencapai tahap memecahkan masalah yang sesungguhnya. Mereka masih harus dibantu guru sehingga pencapaian kemampuan memecahkan masalahnya dapat optimal. Kemampuan kognitif sangat penting bagi kemampuan lainnya. Kemampuan kognitif yang diperkuat dengan kreativitas dapat meningkatkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan sikap ilmiah. Tercapainya sikap ilmiah menunjukkan salah satu indikator keefektifan pembelajaran sains.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikanimplementasi pendekatan saintifik, keterampilan berpikir kritis dan sikap disiplin terhadap penyelesaian masalah matematika di SD. Hasil penelitianada pengaruh positif dan signifikan: 1) implementasi pendekatan saintifik terhadap penyelesaian masalah matematika sebesar 51,1%, 2) sikap disiplin terhadap penyelesaian masalah matematika sebesar 25,8 %, 3) implementasi pendekatan saintifik terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis sebesar 47,4%, 4) sikap disiplin terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis sebesar 19,1%, 5) keterampilan berpikir kritis terhadap penyelesaian masalah matematika sebesar 60,7%, 6) implementasi pendekatan saintifik terhadap penyelesaian masalah matematika&nbsp; dimediasi keterampilan berpikir kritis sebesar 71,8%, dan 7) sikap disiplin terhadappenyelesaian masalah matematika dimediasi keterampilan berpikir&nbsp; kritis sebesar 63,6%.Disarankan agar menerapkan pendekatan saintifik dan sikap disiplin dengan konsep berpikir kritis pada kurikulum pendidikan dewasa ini agar siswa dapat memperoleh kemampuan penyelesaian masalah matematika yang baik sehingga dapat digunakan pada kehidupan sehari-hari mereka.

Abstract

Guna membuktikan keefektifan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition(CIRC)dan Latihan Penelitian pada pembelajaran&nbsp; meringkas isi buku terhadap peserta didik yang berkreativitas&nbsp; Verbal berbeda serta menjelaskan adanya interaksi antara kedua perlakuan tersebut. Disain penelitian termasuk jenis quasi experiment dengan desain pemasangan subjek melalui tes awal-tes akhir pada kelas eksperimen.&nbsp; Sampel penelitian ini adalah kemampuan meringkas isi buku peserta didik&nbsp; kelas VB SD Negeri Pakis 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dan kelas VA SD Negeri Bawang1 sebagai kelas eksperimen 2. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes hasil belajar,&nbsp; observasi, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah &nbsp;ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) 2x2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa&nbsp; dalam pembelajaran meringkas isi buku (1) model CIRC efektif bagi peserta didik berkreativitas verbal rendah dan tinggi, dengan nilai 72,38 dan 87,42; (2) model Latihan Penelitian lebih efektif digunakan bagi peserta didik yang berkreativitas verbal tinggi, dengan nilai 79,24; (3) nilai rata-rata peserta didik pada pembelajaran dengan model CIRC lebih tinggi daripada Latihan Penelitian, yaitu 79,00&gt;74,79. Kesimpulannya, dalam pembelajaran meringkas isi buku, CIRC lebih efektif daripada Latihan Penelitian dalam interaksinya dengan perbedaan kreativitas verbal peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar cetak IPA bervisi SETS yang memenuhi kriteria valid. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini Research and Development (R&amp;D) dari empat tahap yang disederhanakan menjadi tiga tahap, yaitu; (1) pendefinisian (define), (2) perancangan (design), dan (3) pengembangan (development). Subyek penelitian ini siswa kelas IV SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 03. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, tes, observasi, angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif.&nbsp; Hasil pengembangan bahan ajar cetak valid. Skor validasi dalam kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan dalam penelitian pengembangan bahan ajar cetak IPA SD bervisi SETS, disarankan; bahan ajar cetak IPA bervisi SETS dalam kompetensi sumber daya alam telah dikembangkan dengan hasil valid, maka perlu dilakukan uji coba dalam skala lebih luas dan guru dapat menggunakan bahan ajar cetak IPA bervisi SETS sebagai suplemen untuk proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian1) menganalisis hasil belajar kemampuan matematika antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol; 2) menganalisis keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif melalui media dadu dalam pengembangan kemampuan matematika bagi anak usia dini; dan 3) memaparkan respons anak-anak terhadap model pembelajaran kooperatif melalui media dadu dalam pengembangan kemampuan matematika bagi anak usia dini.Desain peneitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimental designtipe nonequivalent control group design. Hasil Penelitian penelitian: 1) hasil belajar kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding kelompok kontrol; 2) model pembelajaran kooperatif lebih efektif daripada model konvensional; dan 3) anak-anak lebih banyak memberikan respons positif terhadap pembelajaran kooperatif melalui media dadu. Disarankan dilakukan penelitian lanjutan terkait pengembangan kemampuan menyebut bentuk geometri dan membedakan kemampuan matematika antara anak-anak yang menggunakan model berkelompok dengan model individual.
