Abstract

The purpose of this evaluation research is to determine the achievement of the implementation of Industrial Practices in the Informatics and Computer Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University in 2016 in terms of Context Evaluation, Input Evaluation, Process Evaluation, Product Evaluation. This research is an evaluation research with the object of research of the implementation of Industrial Practices conducted in the Study Program of PTIK FT UNM. Sources of data in this study were supervisors of Industrial Practice students, Industrial Practice advisers in the field and students in the PTIK FT UNM Study Program who carried out Industrial Practices in 2016. Students who were respondents were sampled with simple random sampling technique, the evaluation model used was evaluation models (Context, Input, Process, Product) with quantitative evaluation methods. Data collection was taken through questionnaires, observations, interviews and documentation. Data analysis using quantitative descriptive and presented in the form of tables and histograms. The results of the study stated that: (1) The suitability of the implementation of Industrial Practices based on the Industrial Practices manual in the Study Program of PTIK FT UNM in 2016 in terms of Context Evaluation was included in the category according to the average value of 80. (2) The suitability of the implementation of Industrial Practices based on the book Industrial Practice guidelines in the Study Program of PTIK FT UNM in 2016 in terms of Input Evaluation included in the category in accordance with an average value of 82.7. (3) The appropriateness of the implementation of Industrial Practices based on the manual in the Study Program of PTIK FT UNM in 2016 in terms of Process Evaluation is included in the category according to the average value of 81.25. (4) The appropriateness of the implementation of Industrial Practices based on the guidebook in the Study Program of PTIK FT UNM in 2016 in terms of Product Evaluation is included in the category very in accordance with the average value of 90.5.

Abstract

This research will compare two algorithms in the process of scheduling large-scale data that runs on VPS (Virtual Private Server) by utilizing an open source platform, Hadoop and Proxmox as a container for creating VPS. For the research method, it will use the FIFO algorithm and the delay scheduling algorithm, each of which will run on infrastructure that has been built previously. Of the three types of scenarios that are done by using two different types of jobs in job submission, it is obtained that the delay scheduling algorithm produces a smaller fail rate than the FIFO algorithm. This can occur because of the characteristics of the delay scheduling algorithm which is to improve job locality data but the more number of jobs the job fail rate performance will increase with the appearance of failures.

Abstract

Family Financial Planning Application is very petrified in managing and maintaining financial stability, this application was developed by utilizing a wallet inspection simulation, budget and financial goal simulation embedded in an android-based application program. BlackBox test results by testing the features and actions stating that the account maker was successfully done, selecting the account successfully selected, input cash flow out and enter successfully, using the financial calculator according to the equation, use the calculation results as the account was successfully worked.

Abstract

The aims of the study were to design and implement a motorcycle safety system based on Arduino Mega 2560 R3 by using Smartphone Android.The data was obtained through 1) Field Research, 2) Library Research. 3) Interview which was conducted at the Makassar City Police (Polrestabes) Makassar. The result of the study indicated that This security system was working based on the input commands from the android smartphone and then was processed through Arduino Mega 2560. The test results of the system designed and based on the results of the questionnaire, obtained 94.7% system eligibility. So this system can be said to be feasible to use.

Abstract

This study aims to create a system that is able to report on the daily attendance of employees. The model chosen was in the form of attendance reporting and attendance home via smartphone.This system can automatically record and record attendance for a month which includes attendance, permission, illness or negligence. This method also makes it easy for companies to find information about cleaning service workers with detailed attendance and return and can make reports easily. The research method used is the use of the concept of geotagging by attaching coordinates to the details of an object image. The database used in this application is MySQL.In this study, a web-based employee attendance application is designed using a geographic information system to display the coordinates of the presence of employees who attend attendance and return attendance. In this way it is not possible for employees to attend but not in the workplace location because there is a supervisior in every company that controls attendance.

Abstract

This study was conducted to reduce the losses are always experienced by farmers because of the behavior of the middlemen who are not responsible for always playing the market price of agricultural and plantation. Implementation of this research using smart devices, and create a marketing information system application named crops crop prices. Implementation of the application price of the plant is also used to provide marketing information to farmers crops to reduce losses due to price games conducted by the middlemen who are not responsible. From the results of this study indicate that the information the application provides convenience for farmers to obtain agricultural produce marketing information and applications are already well underway.

Abstract

The purpose of the device developed in this study is to control the lights by implementing the Android system. This data is obtained through field observations and literature reviews related to android-based light control and literature review on design and application of the android system. The results of the design and analysis of this study show that the system being developed can work as expected in accordance with the research objectives. The control light application program that has been made has met and is running on the system or android application, besides that it can make the lights turn on and off the lamp hardware, which uses 8 lights. The communication known as data communication between the light path and the Android smartphone can run as desired because it runs well and the range of the system developed for control applications that can control the light device according to the specifications of the wireless device used both from the receiving and sending sides.
