Abstract

Payakumbuh a small town with a self government is the capital of Kabupaten Limapuluh Kota - WestSumatera. About 60 % of the land area is being used for agriculture and consequently water demand is veryhigh. With the growth of population and its social and economic condition, the reguirement for water has alsoincreased.In anticipating the problem, concern is be given to the development and management of water resources.Particulary to the two water sources passing the region, i.e. the Batang Agam and Batang Lampasi. A weircan be developed in the Batang Agam at Padang Ambacang, whereas river storage structures can bedeveloped, such as dams, long storages and water wheels, in the Batang Lampasi. In addition to developingthe water system, paddy production can be inereased by applying the System of Rice Intensification (SRI).

Abstract

Kawasan Gayungsari, daerah banjir di Surabaya Selatan, adalah salah satu kawasan permukiman hasil alih fungsi lahan bekas daerah irigasi. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya pemanfaatan saluran irigasi sebagai saluran drainase, elevasi lahan lebih rendah dari elevasi muka air di saluran, bahkan masih ada sawah di kawasan itu. Untuk menanggulangi masalah banjir ini, dilakukan evaluasi dan perencanaan ulang sistem drainase. Solusi yang diusulkan adalah menggunakan sistem polder, dengan menerapkan prinsip kebijakan keseimbangan aliran masuk dan keluar, sehingga delta Q nol. Model analitis rasional, membuktikan bahwa tanpa mengisolir atau meminimalisir kawasan permukiman terhadap kiriman air dari luar, luapan banjir tidak dapat dieliminasi, karena tidak mampu menampung debit kiriman air dari luar yang sifatnya tidak terkontrol. Hasil studi menyatakan bahwa saluran irigasi tidak dapat dikonversikan langsung menjadi saluran drainase kota, karena pola distribusi dimensi dan beda tinggi dasar saluran serta beda tinggi muka air, menjadikan disfungsinya saluran drainase. Untuk mengeliminasi dampak banjir, diusulkan agar dilakukan penataan daerah layanan pada skala makro kota untuk menghasilkan kompartemen polder yang terisolasi. Sistem ini membutuhkan upaya penyesuaian dimensi dan elevasi saluran drainase yang dinormalisasi, pemompaan, penataan ulang lansekap dan kolam retensi.

Abstract

The Jatiluhur Reservoir is the largest and multipurpose. Indonesia, currently faced with problems regarding the quality and quantity of water resource especially pollution problems. Inthis research has been conducted an analysis of the status of water quality and analysis of their impact on the threat to vital business process, especially with regard to management of water resources. The location research carried out at PerumJasaTirta II as the authority of Jatiluhur Reservoir. The data used in this research is primary data from the obtained field research activities throughthe sampling conducted at Jatiluhur reservoir water and the waters of river basin (DAS) after the Jatiluhur Reservoir outlet with reference to size the parameters of water quality using laboratory quality standard. The Analytical tools used are the method Business Impact Analysis and Storet. Chemical parameters above the quality standard limits are: dissolved oxygen, ferro (Fe), manganese (Mn), zinc (Zn), nitrite (NO2-N), nitrate (NO3-N), sulphate (SO4), chloride (Cl), sulfide(H2S), BOD5, and COD.Condition of water quality can be said to have been classified as heavily polluted (categoryD) byanthropogenic activities that are in the upper reaches of the riverCitarum and around JatiluhurReservoir waters. These conditions can threat and negatively impact vital business of the infrastructure, reservoirs, the availability of drinking water and irrigation water and other water biota.

Abstract

Citarum River is the largest river in West Java province, which due to high functionality and benefit of this river has been constructed three large cascade reservoirs: Saguling-Cirata-Jatiluhur that produce arround 1,900 MW electricity and irrigate the paddy fields with technical irrigation for DKI Jakarta over 240,000 ha and water supply through the West Tarum Canal, East Tarum Canal and North Tarum Canal.However, Citarum river is very polluted. Various efforts starting from laws and regulations as well as structuring of institution,and has been done several government programs establishing to control water pollution control. However, Citarum river can not be restorated properly due to disposal of wastewater still permits regardless of the factual condition. This study aimed at analysing the sustainability status of water pollution control in Citarum riverby applyingMulti Dimensional Scaling method covering the dimensions: Policy, Technical, Economic, Socio-Cultural, Law Enforcement and StakeholdersSupport, in order to define a proposal for him solution.The results of the study for the existing condition in 2015 that in all dimensions less sustainable.However, foryear 2030 and 2050 the so technical dimension increased significantly as a highly sustainable status followed by other dimensions achieving sustainable status. The analysis results indicated that a technical dimension can be more implemented than others, and the most difficult one is the economic dimension.

Abstract

In order to find out the level of acid deposition especially in West Java's inland water aquatic, and inline with the active participation of the Research Center for Water Resources in the Network for AcidDeposition Monitoring in East Asia, a study was conducted on the degree of inland water aquatic acidity inLake Patengan from 1999 to 2007. This study was based on descriptive method, observations, includingthe collection of secondary data and field sampling and sample analysis in the laboratory of theExperimental Station for Water Resources Environment according to the 1996 compendium of IndonesianNational Standard (SNI), SNI 2004 and the Acid Deposition Monitoring Network in East Asia (EANET)2001. Results of study show that from 1999 until 2007, average pH value of each year had increased from 7.7to 8.3, but from 2002 up to 2007, average pH of water in Lake Patengan had decreased each year from 8.3 to7.8. In general, the ion balance is still good. From 1999 to 2007, pH in Patengan lake increased from 7.1to 8.4 with average 7.8 and standard deviation 0.3865. However, acid deposition was not identified by theinland water aquatic conditions at Situ Patengan, West Java , Indonesia.

Abstract

Water of the Riam Kanan reservoir is used for irrigation, the supply of raw water, fishery, and hydro-powered,and transportation, etc. Domestic activities of domestic , agriculture, livestock and gold mining gold in the catchment area of Riam Kanan and acitivity fishery activities in the reservoir could be may degrade its water quality .The objective of this research is to know find out more on the pollution potential from catchment area and fishery activity, the characteristics of water quality , the trophic status and stratification of Riam Kanan reservoir. The research was conducted in May, 2009 and August, 2009. The descriptive study method applied had collected secondary data and water samples for analysed analysis. Evaluation was done based on PP no 82/2001 (Government Regulation no 82/2001) and trophic status according to the criteria stated in KepMen LH No:28/2009. Research results on pollution emission potential in the Riam Kanan Reservoir comprised: total Nitrogen 488 kg/day, and total phosphate 158 kg /day, and BOD 3,394 kg/day respectively. The conclusion of It can be concluded that water quality in the Riam Kanan reservoir suitable is in conformity with the criteria of Class 1 (PP 82/2002). The trophic status throphic was identified in the range of mesotrophic - eutrophic or medium fertile. The Stratification of Riam Kanan reservoir is oligomictic.

Abstract

Dalam rangka mendukung pengelolaan sumber daya air, perlu disusun informasi hidrologi yang didukung oleh pengelolaan data yang baik. Penyusunan informasi hidrologi ini dilakukan pada 32 dari 48 pos jaringan nasional yang tersebar di Pulau Sumatera, Jawa, Kalimantan, dan Sulawesi. Informasi hidrologi yang disajikan terdiri dari karakteristik DAS, tren, banjir rencana, debit andalan, dan koefisien limpasan. Tingkat keandalan luas DAS menunjukkan 23 dari 32 pos masuk kategori baik (level 1), 6 pos masuk kategori meragukan (level 2), 2 pos perlu dikaji ulang (level 3), dan 1 pos perlu diperbaiki (level 4). Tingkat keandalan data untuk analisis banjir rencana menunjukkan 3 pos masuk kategori andal (level 1), 19 pos masuk kategori kurang andal (level 2), dan 10 pos tidak dapat dianalisis (level 3). Tingkat keandalan data untuk analisis debit andalan dan koefisien limpasan menunjukkan hampir seluruh pos masuk kategori andal (level 1). Karakteristik hidrologi di tiap pulau berbeda beda. Pulau Sumatera dan Kalimantan umumnya memiliki ketersediaan air yang cukup tinggi, sedangkan debit banjir rencana cukup rendah. Sebaliknya, Pulau Jawa dan Sulawesi umumnya memiliki ketersediaan air yang cukup rendah, sedangkan debit banjir rencana cukup tinggi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa analisis karakteristik hidrologi yang andal, seperti banjir rencana, debit andalan, koefisien limpasan, dan lain - lain dalam suatu DAS, sangat dipengaruhi oleh tingkat keandalan data hidrologi yang ditunjukkan dengan periode yang panjang dan menerus.

Abstract

Lokasi studi di Pantai Kedungu yang memiliki gumuk pasir yang lebar dan vegetasi yang rapat. Biasanya tempat ini digunakan untuk pariwisata oleh penduduk setempat. Erosi yang terjadi disebabkan gelombang datang yang membentuk sudut, sehingga menimbulkan arus menyusur pantai (longshore current), dan angkutan sedimen sekitar pantai (litoral drift). Kondisi tersebut sudah sangat mengkhawatirkan, karena sudah mengikis sejumlah lahan milik warga. Sampai saat ini belum ada penanganan dari pemerintah, hanya upaya dari masyarakat setempat dengan membangun tembok laut dan saat ini juga dalam kondisi sudah mulai hancur. Berdasarkan analisa data yang sudah diambil di lapangan dan pemodelan numerik yang dilakukan didapat konsep penanganan permasalahan erosi, yaitu dengan pembuatan struktur pelindung pantai berupa revetmen. Dimana struktur tersebut berfungsi sebagai peredam gelombang datang dan mempertahankan garis pantai. Tujuan dari tulisan ini adalah memberikan gambaran mengenai stabilitas struktur revetmen terhadap erosi pantai. Analisa stabilitas memperhitungkan stabilitas terhadap guling, geser, daya dukung tanah dan penurunan. Dimensi dan desain pelindung pantai revetment aman terhadap guling (SF = 7,669 >2), geser (SF = 4,082>1,5), daya dukung tanah (17,498>3). Hasil analisa stabilitas struktur revetment yang didisain, aman dan dapat diterapkan di lokasi studi. Analisa stabilitas struktur revetment ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi tingkat kerusakan struktur bangunan pantai dan bangunan sekitarnya.
