Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of human resource management practices to organization performance and talent management as a mediating factor in the relationship. This research uses methodology with an explanatory study by testing three hypotheses. A hundred managers from several coal companies in East Kalimantan Province are collected as a sample in this research. SEM (Structural Equation Model) is used to analyze the data which is collected by questionnaire. The result of this study found that: (1) Human resource management practices affect talent management positively and significantly; (2) Human resource management practices doesn?t affect organization performance significantly; (3) Talent management affects organization performance positively and significant. This research has a managerial implication to guide the decision maker in the company or manager in the human resource management to implement talent management to improve organization performance.

Abstract

The performance of high school teachers (SMA) is very important in education, several factors that influence emotional intelligence from the teacher itself. On this occasion the independent variable was emotional self-awareness, self-confidence, emotional self control, while the dependent variable was teacher performance. Research data retrieve using a questionnaire, to measure how much influence emotional intelligence has on teacher performance. Data is processed using the SPPS program. The results of the analysis show that two variables of emotional intelligence have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance while self-confidence has a positive and not significant effect on teacher performance. Furthermore, the adjusted R square is obtained at 65.0%, influenced by these three factors, 35% is the contribution of other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

The research conducted to discuss the factors that affecting the implementation of employee engagement. Employee engagement contributes to companies where low turnover, high profitability and high productivity. The results of the study explained the direct effect that leadership, teamwork, management support had a significant effect to employee motivation and employee development / training, environment / workplace, teamwork, management support, employee motivation directly influencing to employee engagement but performance management, compensation / remuneration leadership does not have a significant effect to employee engagement. Indirect influence explains that leadership and team work have a significant effect to employee engagement through employee motivation but management support does not significantly influence employee engagement through employee motivation.

Abstract

Awareness of financial knowledge in this era, especially college students, is still scarce. College students are one part of society which increasing each year in numbers and would have strong impact on the economy of a country. College student is one levelbefore get into the working level, which means they have to be more able to depend on their own self in managing their own finances. This study?s purpose is to analyze factors which affect financial literacy of college students in Indonesia. The independent variables used are money management, financial behavior, influence, attitude, and investment. This study survey usedgoogle form which has 28 questions. The sample of this study is 350 college students taken randomly. The data tested by using SPSS program. This study results proved that all of the independent variables affect significantly positive on the financial literacy.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of the work environment, leadership, compensation and work training variables on employee involvement variables in star hotels in Batam. This research was conducted using a survey method through a questionnaire to 380 respondents, namely employees of five-star hotels in Batam. After being distributed directly to respondents, the questionnaire was collected and managed to get 340 questionnaires filled out completely and then the authors tested the regression data using the SPSS program. From the results of data processing with SPSS it is known that there is a relationship in all variables studied. Based on the results of this study, the relationship between work environment variables, leadership, compensation and work training in employee attachment variables is known, so it is expected that star hotel management can pay attention to the variables studied earlier and manage employee attachments as one of the added values ??and advantages of the hotel.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of risk profile, asset familiarity, investment objectives, investment awareness, and portfolio management on investment behavior. The method of collecting data using a questionnaire aimed at the people of Batam. A total of 100 questionnaires were collected and then processed using SPSS. The study continued with testing the validity and reliability. For testing the hypothesis the author uses multiple linear regression analysis. From this study it can be concluded that risk profile, asset familiarity, investment objectives, investment awareness, portfolio management have a significant positive effect on investment behavior. Overall the independent variable can explain the dependent variable by 51.8% while the rest is influenced by other variables outside the study.

Abstract

The main purposes of this  study is  to analyze the relationship of cost leadership, differentiation strategy, market orientation and organization performance.  The research sample are souvenirs shop in Batam City. Multiple regression analysis to test the hypothesis. The results of this study are information about cost leadership, differentiation strategies, market orientation towards company performance. The results showed that cost leadership, differentiation strategy, market orientation has significant efect on organization performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of behavioral factors which consisting of regret aversion, overconfidence, loss aversion, heuristics and availability bias on gold investment decisions in Batam City investor. To conduct the study, a total of 250 questionnaires were issued and distributed to the investors of gold in Batam city. To test the hypothesis, multiple linear reggression analysis is used. The results of the research showed that regret aversion has a significant and positive effect and loss aversion has a negative significant influence on gold investment decisions. While there are no significant influence of overconfidence, heuristic and availability bias to investment decisions.

Abstract

Objek penelitian berada di PT Enseval Putera Megatrading Tbk Cabang Batam. Yang berlaku sebagai variabel independen yaitu gaya kepemimpinan, motivasi dan stres kerja dan untuk variabel dependen yaitu kinerja karyawan. Penelitian yang di lakukan pada PT Enseval memiki tujuan yaitu untuk mengetahui atau menganalisis gaya kepemimpinan sebagai (X1), motivasi sebagai (X2) dan stres kerja sebagai (X3) terhadap kinerja karyawan (Y). Jumlah sampel yang di pakai dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 45 orang atau keseluruhan dari populasi karena jumlah populasi yang berada di PT Enseval ini adalah 45 orang. Tujuan dari analisis yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui dari variabel yang di teliti, peneitian ini mencakup uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, uji T, uji F dan analisis koefisien determinasi (R²). Nilai uji T gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, motivasi berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan, dan stres kerja juga berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT Enseval Putera Megarading Tbk Cabang Batam. Nilai yang didapat dari uji F menunjukan bahwa keseluruhan dari variabel independen yaitu gaya kepemimpinan, motivasi dan stress kerja mempunyai pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan dan nilai dari penelitian mengenai analisis koefisien determinasi (R²) di dapat kesimpulan variabel (X1), (X2), dan (X3) dalam mempengaruhi variabel Y dengan nilai 62,8% lalu untuk 37,2% lainnya adalah merupakan variabel yang tidak di teliti di penelitian ini. Untuk menjelaskan 37,2% menggunakan variabel lain untuk menelitinya

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the factors that influence intention to invest in stocks of an individual. This research are using quantitative data with 395 questionnaires collected from Batam residents who as sample. Questionnaire consists indicators for independent variable that included attitude, perceived behavioural control, subjective norms, past behavioral biases and intention to invest. Multiple regression used as the analysis method and result showed that all independent variable have a positive significant effect on intention to invest. It means those factors can motivated an individual to invest in stocks market.
