Abstract

The development objective in this study is to produce a teaching material that is in accordance with the POGIL model on the subject of particle kinematics which can improve the learning achievement of mathematics education students in the Basic Physics lecture. Classes that use the POGIL model will run optimally when using appropriate learning materials. Suitable teaching materials are teaching materials that can present the concept of science in a systematic manner in accordance with the POGIL syntax. The output of this research can be published in his Likithaprad journal. Additional output targets for this development research can be published in nationally-accredited journals namely Education and Learning journals. The research method used for this research development refers to the Thiagarajan 4-D model. The 4-D model development procedure is used as a reference in this study with several reasons, including this development model is simpler, systematic, coherent, more specific and easy to follow the steps of development. In addition, the 4-D model specifically emphasizes the process of developing instructional materials and not on the learning design. The instructional material produced is expected to improve understanding and in accordance with the characteristics of students. In addition, the use of this teaching material can also increase the test scores of mathematics education students at Wisnuwardhana University Malang.Keywords: teaching materials, POGIL, student characteristics

Abstract

The success of the school in implementing a full day school system is inseparable from the actualization of the headmaster leadership. One of the excellent programs initiated in Indonesia is a full day school system. This program is an alternative model of education which is a learning process with a full day system. The full day school system is a way to develop the talents and creativity of students. The purpose of this study is to determine the actualization of the headmaster leadership in the implementation of a full day school system at the Islamic Education Institution in Malang City at the elementary school level. This type of research is using a descriptive qualitative approach whose data is obtained from observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the actualization of the headmaster leadership in the implementation of a full day school system at the Malang City Islamic Education Institute at the Elementary School level plays a role as the designer of a full day school system program; implementing a full day school system program; and supervisor of the full day school system program.Keywords: leadership, headmaster, full day school

Abstract

Guidance on the implementation of contextual supervision in the professionalism of the pesantren-based teacher professionalism that must be carried out by the chairman of the foundation and administrators in the pesantren related to the teaching profession based on interesting and unique pesantren culture is discussed with various issues of teacher professional development. This article aims to find out the phenomenology associated with the implementation of contextual supervision in teacher professional development based on the pesantren culture. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach. This study found about (1) the interaction patterns used in coaching namely imtikhan, prayer in congregation, silaturrahmi, regular meetings once a month. (2) approaches in coaching namely groups, individuals, seniority, pesantren bureaucracy. (3) supervision and evaluation, the supervisors and evaluators are the heads of foundations, principals, vice principals, school supervisors, 5 senior teachers and school committees. Follow-up supervision and evaluation of motivation, reinforcement and praise, guidance. Awarding for successful people is in the form of a 100% attendance certificate, additional hours of teaching in Babur Rohmah Middle School and High School, being a homeroom teacher, additional honorariums. Teachers who have not succeeded in getting a book related to teacher professionalism, reduced teaching hours, not being a homeroom teacher, are given a one-month salary.Keywords: coaching, teachers, a boarding school

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the construction of student thinking in solving contextual mathematical problems with a framework of patterns. The importance of constructing student thinking in learning contextual mathematics is so that mathematics learning does not lose meaning and is expected to improve mathematics teaching in schools. This study uses qualitative methods and the subjects in this study are selected based on the results of the solution, namely: students with the results of completion and answers correctly referred to as M1, students with incorrect results but answers are correct as M2, and students with correct completion and wrong answers as M3. The three subjects were asked to solve the problem of contextual mathematical fraction operations with a framework of patterns. Construction of thinking in solving fractions in contextual mathematics experienced by the subject is a construct based on mental structure. This is indicated by the existence of several activities, namely (i) solving questions based on prior knowledge (Action); (ii) reflect on the results of the settlement (Process); (iii) explain the outcome of the settlement and at the same time be able to give an example (Object); and (iv) design and complete mathematical models that have been formed by using actions, processes, objects, and other schemes of a problem related to fractions (Scheme).Keywords:  construction thinking, problem solving, fractional operations, contextual mathematics

Abstract

Character education is very important to prevent child delinquency, especially teenagers. In the era of globalization and gadget addiction, infinite information flow can have a negative influence on children so they do delinquency. Unfortunately, character education in schools is limited to the level of knowing and not at the level of habituation so that character values have not been fully internalized. Society is one of the educational environment, so that people have a moral burden to participate in internalizing character values. Some efforts that can be done by the society to internalize character values in adolescents include optimizing the role of society leaders as motivators and mentors, maximizing the role of youth organizations and functioning mosques not only as places of worship but also as centers for character education with various activities to be carried out. Thus, internalization of character values will occur continuously between the school, family and society environment. Hopefully, delinquency in children can be prevented.Keywords: society?s role, character education, values internalization

Abstract

In general, reading and writing Latin letters or Indonesian spelling as well as empirical teaching practices in formal and non-formal educational institutions, such as elementary and kindergarten, reading and writing for beginner not expressive categories are subjects that cannot be separated or have become compulsory for children to accept. The study used 2 cycles. The stages in each cycle are planning, action, observation and reflection. The results showed that (1) there was an increase in the ability to read and write students when using flashcard media. In prasiklus there are 8 students or 42% who experience an increase, in cycle I which is 12 students or 63% and in cycle II it becomes 17 students or 89% who complete. Likewise in writing skills, students experience an increase in each cycle, namely in the completeness cycle reaches 9 students or 47%. In other words, there was an increase in the first cycle of 13 students or 69%, and in the second cycle there was an increase of 17 students or 90%.Keywod: media of learning, flash card, reading and writing

Abstract

Based on observations made in the first class of SDN Coban Blimbing 2, the majority of students cannot read. Namely, of the 34 students who were able to recognize letters only 40% of the remaining students were 60% who were able to recognize letters but could not yet read. This condition is caused when in learning teachers rarely use teaching aids that can help students to make it easier to recognize letters, words and sentences. This study uses a class action research design (CAR). The average value of students always increases every cycle, which is from 50.00% in the first cycle, up to 70.60% in the second cycle and in the third cycle to 88.23%. This shows that learning through letter card games can improve learning outcomes of class I students of SDN Coban Blimbing 2.Keywords: reading skills, media of learning, letter card games

Abstract

Mathematics subjects are generally seen as difficult for students because they are difficult to understand, full of symbols and approaches to mathematics learning that are less attractive. This makes students bored and reluctant to learn mathematics. The design of this study is classroom action research (CAR). In the first cycle the percentage achieved from all aspects observed resulted in data 46.7% aspects fulfilled. After continuing in the second cycle the percentage of aspect fulfillment became 86.7% or in the high category.Keywords: learning outcomes, mathematics, mind map

Abstract

An understanding of the competencies of each individual varies, especially if correlated with improving the quality of human resources in developing education that has high quality. Therefore, researchers want to carry out research related to how the speed of students of language study programs and Indonesian literature can understand meaning by mapping contemporary literature. This research is a qualitative descriptive research that is to describe the ability of students to understand meaning in using contemporary literary mapping. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this study were students. Abstract

The benefit of this research is the implementation of varied learning in national character education using digital media in storytelling. This research is an experimental study, whose purpose is to determine the effectiveness of fairytale digital-based learning models to shape the character of early childhood with measurable indicators on children's emotional intelligence and behavior. Stages of research include three stages, namely the preparation stage, data collection and data processing or data analysis. The preparation stage is done by determining the research object, the number of samples and indicators used. The indicators used to determine the success of the study include: a) the child begins learning by reading prayer; b) children share food/sharing with their friends; c) children lend stationery to their friends. The sample used is TK Akademika Students Malang. In the previous data collection phase the sample was divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental group and the control group that was subjected to treatment. Each group carried out a pre-test and post-test. Pre-test was given to test the similarity of the sample, while the post-test was used to determine the significance of a treatment. From the research results, it can be seen that there is an increase in the average value of the pre-test and post-test. The conclusion is that learning models with conventional methods such as fairy tales must be actualized in today's digital era. With this research, it can be seen that fairytale digital animation based learning can improve the superior character of students in the TK Akademika of Malang.Keywords: fairytale media, animation, character building, toodler
