Abstract

One of the learning innovations developed by Padjadjaran University is a community-based learning method and local potential applied to arts and entrepreneurship courses (OKK). In order to improve the quality of academic services in the learning process it is necessary to analyze student satisfaction. The research design used in this study was a cross sectional study with a total sample of 133 first-degree students selected using the convenience sampling method. Data on satisfaction and expectations were collected through questionnaires and processed using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and Custumer Satisfaction Index (CSI) which were then analyzed descriptively. Based on the results of the IPA analysis, the attributes that enter into quadrant I (top priority) are improvement in creativity and thinking patterns (c2) and understanding of culture, art, and local sports (c6), quadrant II (maintaining achievement), that is caring (c4 ) and the increase in soft skills (c7), quadrant III (low priority), namely the effectiveness of implementation (c1) and the spirit of entrepreneurship (c5), quadrant IV (excessive), namely teamwork (c3). Overall student satisfaction with the seven attributes that affected the implementation of OKK lectures was 74.20%.

Abstract

Many cases that ensnare teachers are related to the punishment of students. Reward and punishment are repressive educational tools. A reward is a motivational tool, a tool that can lead to extrinsic motivation. Rewards can also encourage students to learn better, more actively. Whereas punishment is an unpleasant educational tool, a negative educational tool, but punishment can also be a motivational tool, a tool to encourage student learning. Basically, reward and punishment are two fun educational tools and become drivers of learning for students. But many teachers are trapped inside. Abstract

Abstract: This research has aims to: (1) develop MOOCs based e-marketing; (2) testing theattractiveness of MOOCs based e-marketing; and (3) knowing the level of effectiveness ofMOOCs based e-marketing. The method in this study is research and development. The resultsof this study include: (1) the results of the e-marketing expert test and website marketing designexpert test have a percentage: 81.50% (ease of accessing consumers), 84.10% (presentation ofgoods/services sold), 79.10 % variation of website content), 86.00% (compatibility with websitegoals), 83.70% (harmony of each page of views), 83.70% (complete description of products sold),83.70% (attractiveness of e-website marketing), 85.00% (ease of order process for consumers),81.50% (responsible admin e-marketing), 81.50% (trouble shooting website problems); (2)MOOCs based e-marketing proved effective in improving the management of studententrepreneurship administration in the vocational sector in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era,indicated by the results of the final ability test which showed significant differences betweencontrol classes without using e-marketing based MOOCs and experimental classes using MOOCsbased e-marketing; and (3) E-marketing based MOOCs needs to be further developed because itcan improve the management of entrepreneurial administration in vocational students in theIndustrial Revolution era 4.0.

Abstract

Abstracts: Many studies conducted by prominent scholars found that Islamic boarding school in Indonesia have been playing its roles not only in religious and education matter but also in the other areas, such as social, economic and environment. This study sought to analyze the impact of the presence of Islamic boarding school on the religiosity of surrounding Muslim communities the object of the study is households who live in seven villages surrounding the Islamic boarding school Amanatul Ummah, Mojokerto regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. To measure the level of Muslim religiosity, the study used the value of the Five Pillars of Islam dimensions based on the 5-point Likert Scale. By comparing the average value of religiosity of each dimension, it can be drawn a conclusion whether there is a significant positive impact or not. The study found that the average value of Muslim religiosity after the presence of an Islamic boarding school is greater than that before. These findings show that the presence of an Islamic boarding school has a significant positive impact on the surrounding Muslim religiosity. Moreover, the study observes that Islamic boarding school has been practicing a moderate way in Islamic religious proselytizing that makes surrounding communities feel comfortable to adapt and change.Keywords: the Five Pillars of Islam, Islamic boarding school, moderate teaching, religiosityAbstrak: Beberapa penelitian yang dilakukan para ahli menemukan bahwa pondok-pondok pesantren di Indonesia telah memainkan perannya tidak hanya dalam persoalan agama dan pendidikan, tetapi juga bidang lain, seperti masalah sosial, ekonomi, dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak keberadaan pondok pesantren tingkat religiusitas masyarakat Muslim di sekitarnya. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah rumah-tangga yang berada di 7 desa di sekitar pondok pesantren Amanatul Ummah, Kabupaten Mojokerto, Provinsi Jawa Timur. Untuk mengukur tingkat religiusitas kaum Muslim, penelitian ini menggunakan the Value of the Five Pillars of Islam Dimensions berdasarkan pada Skala Likert dengan rentang 5 poin (the 5-point Likert Scale). Dengan membandingkan rata-rata nilai tingkat religiusitas setiap dimensi (the average value of each dimension) sebelum dan sesudah keberadaan pondok pesantren, kita dapat menarik sebuah konklusi apakah ada dampak positif atau tidak. Penelitian ini menghasilkan temuan bahwa rata-rata nilai dari religiusitas Muslim sesudah keberadaan pondok pesantren adalah lebih besar dibandingkan dengan sebelumnya. Dengan demikian, temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan pondok pesantren mempunyai dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap religiusitas masyarakat Muslim di sekitarnya. Penelitian ini lebih lanjut telah mengamati dan mendapatkan kenyataan bahwa pondok pesantren telah mempraktikkan dakwah agama Islam dengan cara moderat yang membuat masyarakat di sekitarnya merasa nyaman untuk beradaptasi, mengadopsi dan berubah.Kata kunci: the Five Pillars of Islam, moderate way, pondok pesantren, religiosity

Abstract

This study aims to determine differences in cognitive knowledge of students who are taught with a problem based learning aided by blended learning on the material of the uv-vis spectroscopy. This study uses a cognitive knowledge test instrument that has content validation of 87,92% with very good criteria and a Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of 0.653 in the high category. The research was conducted at the Universitas Negeri Manado in two classes. The experimental class was taught by the problem based learning model assisted by blended learning and the control class that was taught with a problem based learning model. The results showed a statistically significant difference in students' cognitive knowledge in both study classes (α = 0.050).

Abstract

This study aims to develop the design of contextual inquiry learning model to improve students’ science process skills in microbiology lectures. The design of learning model developed in the form of contextual inquiry learning model. This Research and Development covers three stages of research that are: Needs analysis, Development of contextual inquiry learning model, and Trial of learning design. The research instruments used to collect data consisted of validation sheets by material experts, designers, and linguists, and a description test to measure the skills of the science process. It used descriptive statistics for data analysis. A preliminary study conducted on 40 students attending microbiology lesson indicated the need for microbiology teaching design which applies active learning process based on contextual inquiry. The results of a limited trial of 34 experimental class students and 35 control class students found that the research hypothesis was accepted, which means that contextual inquiry learning model of microbiology enhances students’ process skills higher than conventional method.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain model pembelajaran inkuiri kontekstual untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa dalam perkuliahan mikrobiologi. Desain model pembelajaran dikembangkan dalam bentuk model pembelajaran inkuiri kontekstual. Penelitian dan Pengembangan ini mencakup tiga tahap penelitian yaitu: Analisis kebutuhan, Pengembangan model pembelajaran inkuiri kontekstual, dan Ujicoba desain pembelajaran. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data terdiri dari kuesioner kepada ahli materi, ahli desain pembelajaran, dan ahli bahasa, serta tes objektif untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan pada 40 mahasiswa yang sedang mengikuti perkuliahan mikrobiologi menunjukkan perlunya desain pembelajaran mikrobiologi dengan menerapkan proses pembelajaran aktif berbasiskan inkuiri kontekstual. Hasil uji coba terbatas terhadap 34 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 35 siswa kelas kontrolditemukan bahwa hipotesis penelitian diterima, yang berarti bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri kontekstual pada perkuliahan mikrobiologi dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses mahasiswa lebih tinggi daripada model pembelajaran langsung.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research was to know how students completed their academic assignments, the reason why they completed the assignment the way they did, the effects from their choice of approach, and how to solve them. Data collection was done by using documentation, think aloud technique, and focus group discussion. The data analysis was done by using Glaser and Strauss model. The results showed that 91.1% of Civic and Pancasila Education students completed their academic assignments by copying from the Internet. Internal factors consisted of laziness, hedonistic attitude, the tendency to get everything instantly, and lack of awareness about the importance of developing positive mentality and noble character. Meanwhile, external factors consisted of the availability of information on the Internet and the type of task assigned. The effect of such tendency could be categorized into two kinds: short-term and long-term effect. The short-term effect was that the mastery of students’ knowledge was only on the level of “knowing” (C1) and slightly shifted to the level of “understanding” (C2), incomplete and undetailed information about the materials, the materials were not stored in the long term memory, and the students’ way of thinking was not systematic and linear. The long-term effect included the students’ cognitive structure as well as their character which would not be well developed. There were two solutions to address the issue, namely instrumental and mental solution. Instrumental solution included the provision of textbooks, reference books, and the courses’ list of reference books, while mental solution included developing students’ awareness about the importance of scientific way of thinking, building a good attitude and character in everyday’s life, including in the learning process.Keywords: character, cognitive structure, information technology, teaching and learningAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana mahasiswa menyelesaikan tugas akademiknya, alasan mengapa mereka menyelesaikan tugas akademiknya dengan cara-cara tersebut, dampak yang ditimbulkan, dan bagaimana cara mengatasinya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan dokumentasi, think aloud, dan focus group discussion (FGD). Analisis dilakukan dengan model analisis Glaser dan Strauss. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan ditemukan 91,1% mahasiswa Civic Education menyelesaikan tugas akademiknya dengan menyalin-rekat dari internet. Faktor yang menyebabkannya adalah: (1) faktor dari dalam berupa malas, hedonis, instan, dan kurangnya kesadaran tentang pentingnya membangun struktur mental dan karakter yang mulia. (2) faktor dari luar berupa tersedianya semua jenis informasi di internet dan jenis tugas yang diberikan. Dampak yang ditimbulkan adalah (1) dampak jangka pendek, yaitu penguasaan ilmu mahasiswa hanya pada level mengetahui (C1) dan sedikit bergerak ke level memahami (C2), pemahamannya tidak lengkap dan detail, materi tidak terdorong masuk dalam long terms memory, cara berpikir tidak linear dan sistematis dan (2) dampak jangka panjang, yaitu struktur mental mahasiswa tidak berkembang secara lengkap dan sikap mental berkembang kurang baik. Ada dua solusi yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, yaitu (1) solusi yang bersifat instrumental, yaitu; penyediaan buku ajar, buku-buku referensi, dan daftar referensi mata kuliah; dan (2) solusi yang bersifat psikis/mental, yaitu membangun kesadaran mahasiswa tentang pentingnya membangun cara berpikir ilmiah, sikap, dan karakter yang mulya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari termasuk dalam proses pembelajaran.Kata kunci: karakter, pembelajaran, struktur mental, teknologi informasi

Abstract

This study examines the effect of learning motivation of high achieving students at Universitas Negeri Malang. Learning motivation has an important role in the lecture process. Learning motivation is an impetus in a conscious effort to make changes in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. So it takes students who are able to increase their motivation for achievement in order to be an example for other students. Therefore researchers are interested in studying research related to learning motivation and ways of learning from outstanding students. The object of research studied was outstanding students at Universitas Negeri Malang. The research method used is quantitative data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires in the Google form. The results of this study reveal the motivation to learn and how to learn from each respondent who is an outstanding student at Universitas Negeri Malang. The results of the research are expected to be a reference in increasing learning motivation for other students.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims at improving processing skills and learning outcome of students on stoichiometry concept. First stage was instructional instrument development, the second stage was trials on X graders of Senior High School using One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. The results of this research showed that (1) the developed instructional instrument is good and reliable, (2) the lesson plan was well-accomplished, (3) students activity were positive during the learning, (4) students response were positive, (5) the cognitive learning iutcomes of product and process have met minimum criteria of mastery learning, (6) the improvement of processing skill is in the category of high gain. To sum up, the developed instructional instrument could improve students processing skill and learning outcomes.Keyword: guided inquiry, learning outcomes, process skill, pure cartoonAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan proses dan hasil belajar siswa pada konsep stoikiometri. Tahap pertama adalah pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran, tahap kedua adalah ujicoba pada siswa kelas X SMA menggunakan One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan : 1. perangkat pembelajaran berkategori baik dan reliabel, 2. RPP dapat terlaksana dengan baik, 3. aktivitas siswa sangat positif dalam pembelajaran, 4. respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran sangat positif, 5. hasil belajar kognitif produk dan proses menunjukkan ketuntasan KKM; 6. peningkatan keterampilan proses berada pada kategori high gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: hasil belajar, inkuiri terbimbing, keterampilan proses, pure cartoon

Abstract

This research aimed to analyzing the relationship between learning motivation and physics learning achievement, emotional intelligence and physics learning achievement, and learning motivation and emotional intelligence with physics learning achievement at SMA Negeri in Singaraja city. The type of this research was ex-post facto with correlation quantitative method. The result of this research was the students’ physics learning achievement which is low and it shows that there are the positive relationship between learning motivation and emotional intelligence with physics learning achievement. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan motivasi belajar dan prestasi belajar fisika, kecerdasan emosional dan prestasi belajar fisika serta motivasi belajar dan kecerdasana emosional dengan prestasi belajar fisika di SMA Negeri di kota Singaraja. Jenis penelitian ini adalah ex-post facto dengan metode kuantitatif korelasional. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa prestasi belajar fisika siswa berada pada kategori rendah dan menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara motivasi belajar dan kecerdasan emosional terhadap prestasi belajar fisika
