Abstract

Reliability of Electrical Power Distribution to consumer is strongly influenced by its distribution system. Therefore, electrical power distribution system with high reliability is needed. In distribution of electrical power, reliability level of distribution system is very necessary, because it is influential strongly factor towards continuity of electrical energy distribution to consumers. Parameters can be used to determine reliability level of Electrical Power Distribution System are SAIDI, SAIFI, and CAIDI. SCADA on Electrical Power Ditribution System is needed because it can monitor, control, configure and record working system real time. Besides it, SCADA also can handle interruption temporary or permanently in short time by using remote. Aim of this research is to compare distribution system reliability indexes such as SAIFI, SAIDI and CAIDI before and after integrated with SCADA in Bukittinggi Rayon of PT PLN (Persero), Western Sumatera, Indonesia. This research uses Distribution System Data from 2015 and 2016. Result of this  rresearch is Realibility Indexes before Integrated with SCADA(2015) are 15.40 hours/customer, 46.36 interruption/year, 0.33 hour/year, while after Integrated with SCADA(2016) are 2.14 hours/customer, 22.41 interruption/year, 0.10 hour/year. for SAIDI, SAIFI CAIDI Indexes respectivel y. It can be concluded that The increase of Reliability Index after integrated with SCADA are 86.1% for SAIDI, 51.66% for SAIFI, 69.7% for CAIDI.

Abstract

Android phone is one of the most widely used telecommunications devices today. The exchange of various forms of information ranging from text, sound, images and video through this media is inseparable from the threat of criminal crime through digital data theft. Data security aspects are very important to be considered, one of which is data in the form of text. Text data is commonly used in short message services (SMS), chat in various Android applications or in the use of logins and passwords. This research will create an application on Android for securing text data through cryptographic techniques with a layered algorithm using three types of algorithms namely Caesar, Blowfish and AES Algorithms (Advanced Standard Encryption). This application can run on Android 5.0 (lollipop) or above, which can be used to encrypt and decrypt text messages. The test results show that the results of the initial text that was encoded through the encryption process can be safely returned by the decryption process without the slightest mistake with the original text.  The encryption test for capital letters, numbers, and punctuation can be completely decrypted.

Abstract

The utilization of ozone is commonly applied in various fields, for instance, it is used as a disinfectant for water treatment, disinfecting, sterilizing medical devices and preserving foodstuffs. Ozone is a nearly colorless gas with a characteristic odor that can be detected by humans up to 0.01 ppm. It can be produced by the dielectric barrier discharge method,which is generally used as a method of generating ozone supplied by high voltage or also called high voltage plasma generators. High voltage plasma occurs in the dielectric barrier discharge air gap, as a result of the air failed in maintaining its insulator properties. The power supply used in this study is a parallel resonant pushpull inverter using a flyback transformer. Furthermore, this study did not use an additional magnetic loudspeaker and used ceramic dielectrics instead. 5 types of ceramics and 2 different types of granite and combined the range of air gap were used during examination and research. The research indicates that the best plasma was found in ceramics 3, 5, granite 1 and 2 with an air gap of 2mm. The current discharge in ceramic 1 with an air gap of 2 mm was higher than the others. The highest voltage discharge was on granite 2 with an air gap of 2 mm. Ceramics 3, 5, granite 1 and 2 with an air gap of 2mm had better ozone concentrations than ceramics 1, 2 and 4.

Abstract

Nowadays development of technology is growing fast, especially Android Operating System (OS). Android is a technology that can help human to improve their works both quality and quantity, e.g. making decisions. This study discusses the application of decision support systems to select university. Many students are still confused to select the best university for them. Hence, this application aims to assist students for making decisions using weighted product (WP) method. It exploits some criteria namely, distance, university accreditation and number of lecturers. The research methodology are used namely problem analysis, analysis both hardware and software requirements, design system, implementation and testing. Ultimately, application can be utilized. This application is built on Android Studio and Java Development Kit. It is implemented in Universities in Riau. This application can help students to choose the best university quickly and accurately.

Abstract

The Child Social Welfare Institution (LKSA) is an institution tasked with providing relief services to meet the standards of living, health, education, and the social needs of both individuals and groups. An LKSA Robbani is one of the institutions that help in handling family and child cases by National Standards for Child Care. In solving child problems, the institution must open the previous case data to determine the appropriate solution, such that the service process becomes long. Therefore, an application software is needed that can help the institution to be faster. The developed system is using the Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) Method. The advantage of this method is how to adapt the solutions of the previous case, as well as in seeking similarity in each case that the most significant similarity value is considered the most similar case. The method is very suitable for building the application. The system that was built had to do a trial before being used by the user. The trial result was carried out of the system with manual calculations using the case-based reasoning method. Furthermore, from the results of the trial, it was produced by 87.5%.
