Abstract

Searching for a route to take donation in terms of time and the shortest route is a must for the management because it can save time and effort. In order to make donations more efficient, a system is needed to provide recommendations for taking donation routes, one of which is using a Genetic Algorithm (GA) method. The GA can be applied in optimizing schedules, routes, and spaces. The results show that after testing two different routes with different maximum generation values of 50, 100, 500 and 1000, a maximum generation value of 50 can give optimal results.

Abstract

There are several problems that can interfere with the performance of large-scale PV. One that enhances PV performance is shading on a PV module, that make interferes PV performance. This research studied about the effect of shading on the performance of large-scale PV systems through testing a 9 × 10 Wp miniature PV array and simulation using Matlab software. The use of diodes on a PV module can be done to prevent damage to the PV module due to shading. Through the power-voltage (P-V) and current-voltage (I-V) characteristic curves the effect of shading and the use of bypass and blocking diodes can be determined. Shading effect gave in a decrease in power in the PV module. From the results of this study note that the bypass diode and blocking diode output power generated by the PV module can be optimal.

Abstract

Power quality is closely related to electrical energy which is directly related to voltage and current interference. Electrical equipment used daily requires good power quality. The thing that affects the quality of the power is the voltage dip. Based on the IEEE 1159-1995 standard, voltage sag is a decrease in RMS voltage with duration of 0.5 cycle to 1 minute. Sag voltage that occurs can have an effect on electronic equipment and other problems that often arise in the industrial environment. Therefore, a short circuit fault analysis was conducted to determine the voltage sag based on the type of fault in the sub system in Central Sumatera. Short circuit fault analysis is done using Powerworld Simulator 7.0 Students Edition. This study is intended to determine the sag voltage when there is a short circuit fault. The biggest voltage sag occurs when a short circuit fault of single phase to ground at 75% fault location and the smallest voltage sag when the three-phase short circuit of 0.7 fault location.

Abstract

The influence of connected electrical load will cause significant problems on Solar Electric Power Generator (SEPG). The problems are extremely important to be identification in order to provide electrical energy optimally. The objective of this paper is tantamount to investigate the impact of household electrical load on SEPG with variation and continuous electrical load. The identification of power quality was made by marking several test point on each output of SEPG unit. The level quality of voltage and frequency system needed to be measured and observed its performance indicator level. Furthermore, it compared by existing standard. To variation electrical load test, the results showed that the frequency of the system changed from 52 Hz to 262 Hz. In other hands, the frequency rose about five times against normal frequency. The continuous load test, that frequency of system fluctuated around 52 Hz to 156 Hz that also showed abnormal operation of SEPG.

Abstract

This study aims to design a feeding and drinking tool for pet cats automatically based on SIM900A GSM Module. Design using GSM SIM900A, Arduino, RTC, load cell and Direct Current (DC) pump. This tool can be controlled to feed and drink the cat automatically at a distance. The working system of the tool consists of load cell 1, load cell 2 and water limit sensor which is an input result of measurement object which will be processed by arduino. Load cell 1 is used for measuring cat body weight, load cell 2 serves to measure cat feed weight and water limit function to enable and disable direct current pump. The pump will pump water to fill the cat drinking container if the container is empty. Data received by Arduino will be processed when the Real Time Clock (RTC) indicates the schedule of the cat?s feeder that has been set. Then the SIM900A GSM module will work sending short messages (SMS) to the mobile phone to inform the system has been working automatically feed the cat.

Abstract

Due to the advancement of telecommunication platform, users are now demanding high performance application. Propagation models play a vital role in the characterization and design of wireless and mobile communications networks. However, if they are utilized in a different environment than the one they were formulated for, propagation path-loss models may produce unacceptable deviation in predictions. Nowadays every mobile service provider continues to build a telecommunications tower with little regard for its impact on the area function. This paper presents the cellular network planning in the district of Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru. From the field survey, there are found sixty-two (62) cell sites. This number is extremely large compared to the calculated one. From the theory, only twenty-five (25) cell sites are required. Thus, it was found inappropriate deployment cell sites.

Abstract

Increased demand for information and telecommunications at the University of Riau demanding reliable carrier network availability. Copper cable network that now exists less support for multimedia network performance. Therefore, it is necessary to design a new access networks. One alternative is to implement fiber optic technology Fiber to the Home (FttH). This research design a FttH network for information access needs on the campus site, located in Panam, Pekanbaru. The results show the needs of Optical Network Terminal (ONT) as many as 209 units and 34 units of Optical Distribution Point (ODP), using passive splitter 1: 8 type of wall. Optical Distribution Cabinet (ODC) 1 unit to serve all the region in UR with a capacity of 24 core, using ODC 144 type. Calculation of the sample data taken, showing the speed of each customer in the Engineering Faculty using FttH is approximately 3 Mbps. Link Budget Calculations indicate that power received by each faculty on average -23.17 dB, it can be concluded FttH network design is feasible and appropriate ethical standards that have been determined shall not exceed -28 dB. Attenuation of each faculty obtained the average value of -21.17 dB.

Abstract

With the progress of industry, power electronic equipment is widely used in power system, it has produced serious harmonic distortion. It goes without saying that harmonic analysis is a very important subject in power system. The influence of harmonics dominant because it is permanent. This harmonic influence spread to energy systems, energy devices, and influential to the energy source. For that, it is necessary a tool that is able to overcome these problems so that the electric energy services are not compromised and the reliability was not reduced. This study how to harmonic analysis, total harmonic distortion, and identifying the inverter at a solar power plant 320WP in accordance with the IEEE 519-2014.

Abstract

This paper presents a fault diagnosis for long transmission lines using Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). The electric power transmission system is a link power generation and distribution. If a failure occurs as long the transmission line could be estimation caused of undesired fault power delivery to consumer come not go well. Therefore, it would need to provide an alternative solution to solve this problem. The objectives of this paper are classification and estimate of a fault into the transmission line by using application of ANFIS. The systems have been put forward and tested on simulated data transmission lines into different faults. The results test given to contribute to an alternate technique where it has good performance for fault diagnosis in the transmission lines.

Abstract

Tourism service is a field that aims to introduce and promote marine and other tourism in a certain location especially in marketing field to attract tourists to visit that tourist destination. Culture and Tourism Service of Pekanbaru is one of the technical services which handles government business which is compulsory affairs in culture field and choice affairs in tourism field. The total of tourist visits must be reported to tourism office in each destination. To facilitate the reporting of the total of tourists then, a website and an android-based system are built. The system is developed using the CodeIgniter web framework with PHP and HTML programming language. The application is developed using Android Studio and Java Development Kit. Research result on Progress and recapitulation reports system of the revenue and total Tourists in Pekanbaru City based on web and android which ease to conduct report on total of tourist visits. Usability Testing of this system using the USE Questionnaire and Likert Scale.
