Abstract

Abstract: The study of Islamic law and various global challenges requires a solutive method of ijtihad to solve contemporary issues today. In addition, social dynamics relating to the development of information technology and the spread of culture are in need of ijitihad in Islamic law. Yusuf Al-Qardawi has done a lot of contemporary ijithad as stated in this paper and how it could be addressed by Muslims in any part of the world, including Indonesia. The double movement theory of Fazlul Rahman has also taken part in giving an offer as a renewal of Islamic law over contextual legal issues without denying the basis of the primary sources of Islamic law, namely the Qur'an and Sunnah. The ijtihad method takes place through the historical criticism of norms at primary sources based on space and time and socio-cultural background. All this aims to capture the universality of the holy message contained in the primary sources. The value of universality is in the form of humanity, freedom (al-hurriyah), justice (al-adalah), and equality (al-musawah). This is relevant in the context of contemporary space and time especially in keeping up with the information industry era. This paper asserts the flexibility of the law based on sharia to provide solutions to the any emerging problems. Therefore, the teaching of legal methodology not only teaches the so-called ushul al-fiqh but also teaches the concepts that are relevant to the current social political situation and conditions. Keywords: Ijtihad, current issues, Islamic law

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to answer the questions of what is the potential of prayer as a medium for mindfulness training and how is its implementation to face the age of complexity. The results of the study concludes that prayer has aspects that are complete enough to fulfill the components of mindfulness with an Islamic mindset, in which the object of focus is God. Based on the Quran and al Hadith it was found that solemn or mindful prayer has a great influence on the quality of life of a Muslim. This is in line with the results of research on mindfulness which shows that the increased mindfulness will improve mental quality and body health and well-being. To get quality prayer, one needs to do five things. (1) Starting with the so-called taawudz (2) Strengthening the intention of prayer to achieve the ridha of Allah. (3) Performing every prayer move with tuma'ninah. (4) grasping every prayer reading and presenting muraqabah. (5) Making prayers as needed. Transforming the mindful prayer into all aspects of life requires three keys, namely deep breathing, positive feelings, and involving mindful prayer to the areas of life by forming the mindset of a "bridge" between prayer and work.Keyword: Prayer, mindfulness training, Islamic education, age of complexity

Abstract

Abstract: Multicultural sufistical education not only discusses the positive character, but also the negative one and how to handle it. This can provide a new perspective of the character education in Indonesia. A student needs to be aware of what he must avoid and how to avoid it in addition to staying away from it as early as possible. What is important to note is that,  first, like worship, knowledge must also be with sincerity when studying it. Sincerity is a motive that makes knowledge meaningful. Second, knowledge is such an affiliation of worship. Third, learning dualism. Learning - in Sufistical education - is not only a process of finding knowledge. Character is only an attribute, and is not embedded in the soul. This kind of character education is unfilled with the spirit and goodness in the heart. So sufistical education - through the concept of psychology - provides a bridge to it. Character education should be littered with the process of penance in order to liven up the soul with awarenessKeywords: Multicultural sufistical education, character education in Indonesia

Abstract

Abstract: The study is about Maudhui's interpretation of the Qur'anic verses relating to the so-called qolb. In various references, qolb means heart and in various languages: heart (English), herz (Germ), Coeur (Franc), Corazon (Spanish), Cuore (Italian), hart (Dutch), serce (Polish) , inima (Rome), dil (Urdu), hreday (Indian), xin (Chinese), maeum (Korean), ?????? (Arabic). Imam Al-Ghazali believes that the heart is from two aspects, namely the physical and spiritual aspect. The physical heart is the one that is shaped like a banana blossom which is located in the left side of the chest. While the spiritual one is subtle (latif), rabbani, and spiritual that is related to the physical heart. Sufis often call the heart with the following names: (1) baitul-hikmah, which is the heart that wins and produces sincerity; (2) baitul-muqaddas, i.e. outwardly heart that is to do with other people; (3) baitul-muharram, which is a perfect human heart specifically intended to know and love God; (4) baitul-izzah, the heart that arrives at in a mortal condition' (eliminating bad qualities and the effects of cruelty) for solely the sake of Allah; and (5) al-falaq al-mubin, which is the peak level consisting of the human heart. M. Quraish Shihab argues that the heart is part of the nafs, a kind of contact within the nafs, while the nafs itself is the inner side of man. It can also be emphasized that what the scholars agreed is that the heart is not a liver because the organ is known in Arabic with a 'kabid'.Keywords: Qur'anic exegesis, qolb

Abstract

Abstract: Literature is a work that describes the problems of life. Literature in describing human life is inseparable from human and humanitarian problems. The problems in human life are inseparable from the lives of its author and readers, so literature is an effective means of translating the inner world of human beings. Literary works are basically the embodiment of the lives of writers' observations of their surrounding lives. Aside from being entertainment, literary works are also a means conveying the ideas and thoughts in terms of culture, social, and even religion. In literature there are constituent elements, namely themes, mandates, figures, characrers, and languages which are all packaged in aesthetic and imaginative forms. These elements contain ideas related to, among others, religious values. Religious values that are able to color the author's creativity, aesthetics, and imagination include the values of faith, scientific, moral, and social values. These values are the basic ones that form the main foothold in the world of Islamic religious education. This proves that literary works can be a means of transforming written and implied values of life in addition to contributing to the readers and the connoisseurs of literature. Keywords: Educational values, literary values, character
