Abstract

This study aims to improve understanding of the concept of students in respect of material diversity of tribes and cultures in Indonesia in class V SDN Cijati by applying Role Playing. Based on the lack of understanding of students during the learning takes place so that the study of students is less satisfactory. This study uses a Class Action Research (PTK) with system cycle of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This research was conducted in two cycles of the techniques used in this study is a technique tests, questionnaires and observations. Assessment Rubric RPP RPP using the first cycle has a percentage of 95% and cycle II has pesentase 100% results. Observation sheet IPS implementation of learning by using role playing in the first cycle has pesentase 96.3% and cycle II has pesentase 100% results. The results of post-test students who complete the first cycle has a percentage of 70%, while incomplete 30%, while the post-test results of students in the second cycle is finished to have a percentage of 100%. The result of understanding the concept of learners who complete the first cycle has pesentase 87%, while the result of understanding the concept of the second cycle which has pesentase 100% complete. Application of the method Role Playing very supportive towards the understanding of the concept of cherishing diversity of tribes and cultures in Indonesia, especially in primary schools Cijati. This is due to the application of methods Role Playing educators must be more active in learning, can accept ethnic and cultural diversity, as well as to develop social skills.

Abstract

Referring to the standard social studies curriculum content subjects, 2006, one of the competencies that would be developed is to give students with a useful social knowledge, social skills, and intellectual, in fostering social attention as well as human resources who care as good Indonesian citizen and responsible realize national goals. To be able to successfully learn social studies, students should be equipped not only knowledge, but also the need to be explored and developed dimension of the skills and attitude value. Therefore, the focus of discussion in this paper is the urgency to develop social skills that are integrated into social studies teaching in elementary school. Processes and learning outcomes with social skills and building value is needed to equip learners to anticipate the future challenges that certainly will be more severe and complex. Teachers as curriculum developers are demanded to be skillful to bring atmosphere and learning activities which has purpose on developing basic skills and the cultivation and development of personality, temperament and character.. Implementation of educational based on social skills and coaching will is believed have valuable graduates outcome that have personality, temperament and good character. Therefore, the main task of basic education is to build students' character and have purpose build students from an early age in order to not fail be a perfect human.

Abstract

One of the things implied by the education decentralization policy is to run independent school education management in different perspectives according to the conditions of each region. Decentralization is no longer seen as a concept but should be implemented at all levels of management, not least on the institutional arrangements, systems and educational units, both in the formal and non-formal education channels. New patterns of management education in the form of School Based Management, is actually giving ample space for the community that any decision made by the local government is more "grounded" and provide quality education to the younger generation. In this context, education decentralization implies an effort to bring the community to the decision making on local needs, so that the development of education in accordance with the peculiarities of the region, on the other hand the potential can be utilized. In the end, the real implementation of the School Based Management is on the order of the institution is expected to improve the quality of basic education and excellence in the area of human resources.

Abstract

Technological achievements of the 21th century has affected all aspects of social, political, cultural, Educational, and religious. In the field of education, education reform must be done in order to remain relevant to contemporary circumstances. Therefore, vigorous research activities carried out by the government, namely the Ministry of Education and Culture, education practitioners, students and professors of the universities, and teachers at the school. But unfortunately, most of the results of these studies are still struggling in the micro range. Within the framework of basic education in the Graduate School of Education University of Indonesia. Since 2006 until 2013, virtually no research has "dared" the theme in the context of the macro, such as education policy, problems of primary education access and mother tongue. Tens and even hundreds thesis carefully made by students just become dusty piles of paper in the library. Process research and policy education is still being on their own. The involvement of each party that conducts research and policy makers have not resulted in a synergy that can contribute to the quality of national education. In the era of education based on science, research results can be used as an important basis in education policy.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to develop the learning model based on scientific approach in the elementary school. The stages of scientific approach are in these models. Based on the nature of character itself, the character learning models can be divided into two kinds, namely reflective model and rational construction model. The development of education in elementary school has been orientating not only in cognitive aspect but also the value aspect that presents the character education in elementary school. The development of character education have to appropriate with the identity of that character education. Having the comprehension of character learning model, the teachers will reach the purpose as well as to solve the problems especially in education nowadays.

Abstract

The development of science, technology and information (science and technology) is very fast and globalization nowadays occur positive and negative impacts on people's lives, both individual and social life. The positive impact of the development of science and technology and the globalization of the labor market is opening opportunities in accordance with the needs of society and the state. While the negative impact is the changing values and norms of life that is often in contradiction with the norms and values of life that has existed in the community. In this context, education, especially primary education, plays a very important to preserve and protect the norms and positive life values that already exist in the society of a country from the negative effects of science and technology development and globalization. The education process is right and quality provided supplies and power to maintain the "identity" of the negative effects of globalization, not only for the interests of individual learners, but also for the benefit of society and the state. National policy development of the noble character education into the national education system is a strategic effort to equip future generations with the noble character of the nation as the identity of Indonesia in global competition. With the character education that is applied systematically and sustainably, a child will be emotionally intelligent. Emotional intelligence is important provision in preparing children to meet the future, because someone will be more easily and successfully face all kinds of life challenges, including the challenge to succeed academically.

Abstract

Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan profesionalitas guru sekolah dasar dalam menyelesaikan problematika pendidikan sekolah dasar (SD) saat ini menuju ke arah paradigma pendidikan baru sesuai dengan yang dicita-citakan pendidikan pancasila. Era globalisasi menuntut kesiapan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang memiliki keunggulan kompetitif dan komparatif. Upaya menyiapkan sumber daya manusia yang unggul salah satunya dapat dicapai melalui pendidikan. Penulisan ini juga dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan yang terkait dengan masih rendahnya mutu pendidikan dalam skala nasional, yang salah satunya diakibatkan lemahnya kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan tugas-tugas profesionalnya. Tantangan dan tuntutan terhadap profesionalitas guru di masa mendatang akan semakin berat dengan pesatnya perkembangan masyarakat, ilmu pengetahuan, dan teknologi serta adanya persaingan di era globalisasi. Untuk menjamin adanya peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di masa mendatang, diperlukan upaya-upaya dalam mengoptimalkan proses pembinaan dan pengembangan profesi guru sekolah dasar melalui pendidikan dan pelatihan yang berkesinambungan dan komprehensif dengan akses yang lebih luas dan menjangkau seluruh guru secara nasional.

Abstract

This research is motivated by not maximal enhancement of the ability of learning outcomes concept understanding and solving problems in material recycling water using problem based learning model. Through this research studied solutions to solve these problems, by performing learning using a blended model of Problem Based Learning. The shape Blended conducted among which are: the provision of stimulus in the form of audiovisual media before and when learning, students are given assignments in connection with the matter further, so that students read many books about the matter further and ready to learn, provide encouragement and approaches for learning, and improve the effectiveness of learning time. The purpose of this study is to provide solutions to improve understanding of concepts and problem solving in science subjects in grade V. The experiment was conducted in SDN Tanjung III Subang using a quasy-experimental methods. For the experimental group performed several Blended allegedly able to complete lack of problem based learning model, while for the control class performed the usual problem based learning model. The instrument used to conduct research that is: test the ability of understanding the concept and problem solving as well as observation sheets teacher activity and student responses. The results showed differences in the ability of understanding the concept and problem solving significant between experimental class and control class, n-gain Blended problem based learning model is better than usual, and there is increased activity of teachers and students' responses to learning.

Abstract

Indonesia is strongly built by the nation's next generation of powerfull and robust which is in the hands of early childhood. So to create the next generation a strong responsibility to be educated not only on formal institutional agencies. But the "home" is then termed "family" as an institution and the first main roles and functions that are crucial in the process of planting and establishment of the national character. Through character building in a family that includes aspects of maternal bonding, security compliance and fulfillment of physical and mental stimulation, as well as the implementation of appropriate parenting on children will build the next generation of Indonesian nation strong and resilient in facing the challenges of globalization in the future.

Abstract

Problems faced by children are usually associated with a disruption in the child's development. If not addressed, it will continue in the disruption next development phase is the development phase of school children. (Sri Maryati Deliana, et al, p. 1). One of them is a developmental disorder of language. Language serves as a communication tool and an important tool in the child's life. Through language, the child can interact, share experiences, and can improve the intellectual, namely in order to develop the knowledge and language skills. For children it is a period of development that must be nurtured and developed so that they can take advantage of language skills to the fullest. Without the guidance and direction feared their language development is not as expected by the parents at home and by teachers at school. (Dr. Enny Zubaidah, M. Pd., P. 1). Language delays are common disorders in early childhood or in the lower grade elementary school children. Language disorders such as this will hinder the social development of children. In this paper the child language disorders focused on the problem of type receptive language disorder. Examples of receptive language disorders in this case is the delay reading, children recognize letters but when united in one word the child can not memaknainya.Seperti other examples. As another example, a child who just saw the house, can not say that it is a home for disturbed memory warehouse. Also the ability to deliver the order (the ability to recognize or reproduce symbols in a sequence as presented) disturbed. For example, after introduced the symbol numbers 1 to 10 in a row, the child can not be mentioned in the order.
