Abstract

AbstractThe article describes the doctrine of the Holy Trinity according to the views of the Church Fathers formulated in a Nicene and Constantinople Creed (Nicene Creed). There are many errors and debates about this doctrine throughout the ages including today. This article is important because it puts the right theological foundation, which is orthodox understanding (straight teaching) about the Trinity. The author will describe the 8 points of the Nicene Creed and interact with the Scriptures and the writings of the Church Fathers. The Holy Trinity is essentially One God in Three Persons or Three Persons in One Essence or the Essence of God, namely the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God so the Trinity God does not speak about the number of God but the existence of God . It is called the Father because He is the source of everything including the Son who is His Word begotten or comes out from the Father and the Holy Spirit which is the breath or source of life from the Father himself. The Word and the Holy Spirit are a necessity in the FatherKey words: Trinity, Father, Son, Holy Spirit, Nicea, Constantinople, Father of Church, Essence

Abstract

AbstractThis paper is an attempt to critically interpret the text of Romans 9: 6-8 and 11:23-24 which was born because of Paul's struggle with what happened in the Christian community of Rome. Israel is God's covenant people, but on the other hand they have also expressed rejection of the salvation brought by Jesus Christ. The status of the covenant people is being questioned by non-Jews, is it still valid? Paul explained that "God's Word cannot fail," meaning that Israel's status as a chosen people does not fade away. But Israel's refusal at the same time gave space to other nations to be part of that publicity. God who chooses a nation, God also allows the transplanting of other nations to be part of His people.Key Words: Israel, New Israel, Christianity, Romans 9: 6-8 and 11: 23-24

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract[Title: Understanding Jeremiah’s Prophecy and His Book] Jeremiah is a prophet in the Old Testament, whose book is thick with a maximum biography. To understand the message of the prophet of Jeremiah, the readers must recognize two important things. First, the prophet Jeremiah himself, and the second, the book of Jeremiah. On one hand, there are frictions between Old Testament scholars about the historicity of Jeremiah's own figure. Is the figure of Jeremiah real or not real? On the other hand, there are many problems regarding the book of Jeremiah, related to the author of the book of Jeremiah. Who was the author of this book? Was it Jeremiah himself, or his secretary Barukh, orsomeone else, or later editors?Other problems related to the text about large differences in Jeremiah's text in the Hebrew and Greek versions of the Bible are very striking. In this study the author intends to provide an alternative solution to the complexity of Jeremiah's figure and his book. Keywords: Prophet Jeremiah, Book of Jeremiah

Abstract

AbstractGenerally, missiology can be understood as the study of the Gospel messagespreading or what is better known as Sending. Thus, this Gospel spreading isconsidered as one of the main task or function of churchestht is to share the good news about Jesus Christ worldwide. Therefore, this comprehension cannot be taken wrong, however in the Old Testament, missiology has to be seen from the standpoint on “how God the Father called and sent his servants to carry out all the tasks assigned to them in order to turn the people of Israel from their stubborness so that they could be saved and not be perished in the punishment that were bounded to them’’ In the old Testament there is an obvious assignment to do the outreach mission to all nations all around the world. The main focus in the Old Testament is the choosing of Israel and its relations to the other nations.Key words: Mission, Old Testament

Abstract

AbstractOur understanding of “Love and Power” at a glance seems to be the opposite of one another. Generally, the term “Love” is related to understanding or elements that are always modest, succumbing, helpfull, gentle, doing good or in other words always related to conscience “Love” is done not with the intention of being rewarded, but sincerely done and selflessly. Likewise about the term “Power”, it seems like the opposite of “Love”, as if “Power is something that relies on authoritarianism, governing, regulating without compromise, and found in a system of royal government that has the right or authoritarian to regulate the one under it based on the power that is in it. In this paper, the writer tries to describe the meaning and reciprocity of the two words which are viewed in term of Christianity in terms of Christianity, “Love and Power” is not two words that have conflicting meanings, but are interconnected and influence each other in realizing a complete system or link. So in Christianity, the understanding of “Love and Power” is not acontradiction. Keywords: “Love and Power”
