Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of market orientation on product innovation in the Palm Sugar industry in Tontonunu District and Poleang uatara Regency, Bombana Regency. The sample in this study were 38 respondents in the coconut sugar industry. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis as an analysis tool.The results of this study found that Market Orientation simultaneously had a significant effect on product innovation in the Palm Sugar industry in Tontonunu District and Poleang uatara District in Bombana Regency. Partially, market orientation and customer orientation variables have a positive and significant effect on product innovation.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Learn how the processing of cashew products in the home industry (2) Learn what strategies are implemented to increase sales of cashew products in the home industry. This research has been conducted since January 2019. The population in this study is the whole cashew home industry. Sampling is done by "Proportional Random Sampling". The samples in this study were 4 cashew home industries from 8 respondents. Primary data collection is done through direct interviews using questionnaires. The variables to be examined are the condition of the company including the condition of the company's external and internal environment which includes strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, as well as marketing variables such as products, prices, places promotion and distribution. Data is processed using SWOT analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) The processing process of cashew products has 7 stages of management, while the stages are the raw material for cashew spindles, drying, skin cleavage, pruning cashew seeds, removal of the epidermis, drying (drying), packaging; (2) The home industry implements a strategy to support the diversification strategy, which means that the home industry in the contingent district is in a very good position to further develop the business, but does not demand the possibility of being alert to the existing threats. Marketing strategies that need to be applied to home industries in the Kontunaga District are to improve product quality, strengthen cooperation with the government, maintain good relations with consumers, improve the quality of human resources at the operational level, increase product promotion and distribution, market segmentation to be able to maintain and expand existing markets, creating new designs so that consumers have many choices and increasing production and marketing cooperation between similar business actors.

Abstract

This study aimed was to analyze the application levels of critical control points of HACCP in Frozen loin tuna processing in identifying hazards and preventing the dangers found in loin at PT. Arta Mina Jaya. This research was descriptive with the method used as the survey method using a questionnaire of the selected respondents. The survey method was carried out by following the entire flow process of handling frozen tuna loin from receiving raw materials, washing, head cutting, skin removal, tidying up, CO injection, loin cooling, final control and size determination, vacuuming, freezing, second weighing, packaging and labeling, metal inspection, cold storage up to transportation. The survey method was carried out by following the entire flow process of handling frozen tuna loin from receiving raw materials to transportation. This study also used the decision tree method to identify critical control points. Next was the identification of critical control points by looking at the critical temperature limit <200C, the temperature limit of the production room <350C, the danger, 100 ppm metal and identify CCP. The results of the study indicated that the process of implementing HACCP levels at PT. Arta Mina Jaya was better in the application of HACCP.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the added value of the patchouli oil refining business; (2) find out the added value of the patchouli oil refining business. Data were processed using qualitative analysis to determine the pattern of marketing channels while determining the amount of added value obtained by patchouli oil processing businesses using the Hayami method. The population in this study are all businesses of patchouli oil refining owners. The added value obtained by the essential oil refining business in Kabangka District of Muna Regency is Rp.4,607/kg meaning that every 1 kg of patchouli raw material will produce output in the form of essential oil of Rp. 4,607 per production process and the ratio of value-added to the output value is 41,73 with the understanding that every kg of patchouli which is processed into essential oils will get an added value of 39,16 %. The pattern of marketing channels, namely patchouli oil refining business-patchouli oil traders in large-traders village.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the efficiency of the work efficiency of the tool by using a modification kacip, to determine the results of the quality of the cashew seeds produced with modified modifications determining the location of the study carried out intentionally (purposive) with respondents totaling 10 respondents. Data collection is done by interview and observation methods. Analysis of the data used design analysis with drawing rocks or skecap. The results of the analysis study were designed with two blades with 3 replications each time, large cashew fruit with an average of 0,3 kg /time, medium-size cashew with an average of 0,4 kg /time and small cashew fruit with an average of 0,31 kg /time, can be seen the working capacity of the equipment in tables 3, 4 and 5 with a total of 1,01 kg / time and an overall average of 0,33 kg /time. Whereas with one blade that has not been modified, with the working capacity of the tool in table 6. Large cashew fruit with an average of 0,25 kg /time, Medium cashew fruit with an average of 0,25 kg /time, and small cashew fruit with an average of 0,22 kg /time with an amount of 0,72 kg /time and an overall average of 0,24kg /time. To determine what percentage increase in working tools used by two blades and it turns out there is an increase in working tools with results 27.27%.

Abstract

 This study aims to determine the response of farmers to the sugarcane agroindustry development plan and to determine the factors that influence the response of farmers to the sugarcane agroindustry development plan in West Muna Regency. The method of data analysis uses proportion test and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that (1) the level of community response to the sugarcane agroindustry development plan was in the medium category. (2) Age and expected benefits have a significant positive effect on agro-industry development plans. Factors that did not significantly affect the community's response to the sugar cane agroindustry development plan were the level of education, farming experience, land area, and the number of family dependents.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of integrated cassava agroindustry in Watondo Village, South Tongkuno District, Muna Regency. The population in this study is integrated cassava agroindustry, the selection of samples using the sense method with 23 respondents classified in 3 categories namely having cassava plantations without agroindustry business with 7 respondents, having cassava plantations and owning an agroindustry business with 11 respondents, having an agro-industry business without cassava plantation with 5 respondents. Data collection is done by interview method, questionnaire, documentation. Data analysis uses income analysis and Comparative performance index analysis. The results showed the highest average income results in the three types of businesses, having an agro-industry business without cassava plantation with income in 2017 of Rp 18,366,850, in 2018 amounting to Rp 23,081,883, CPI analysis with a value of 232,434, owning garden cassava, and having an agro-industry business with income in 2017 amounting to Rp 10,130,894, in 2018 amounting to Rp 12,036,159 CPI analysis with a value of 130,403, and for business types, having cassava plantations without agro-industry businesses with income in 2017 of Rp. 6,984,905, in 2018 amounting to 9,477,679, CPI analysis with a value of 100.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) to determine the cost structure of palm sugar business in Ponre Waru Village, Wolo District, Kolaka Regency, and (2) to determine the income of palm sugar business in Ponre Waru Village, Wolo District, Kolaka Regency. The population taken in this study were all owners of the palm sugar industry in Ponre Waru Village, Wolo District, Kolaka Regency, as many as 20 people. The research method used is the census method. The research analysis uses cost structure analysis, revenue, and income. The results showed that: (1) the structure of the palm sugar business costs with the highest value was the tapping cost of Rp.151,500. and the lowest cost is transportation cost, namely Rp. 105,000, and (2) the average palm sugar business income in Ponre Waru Village, Wolo District, Kolaka Regency is Rp. 1,947,850.

Abstract

The study aims to determine factors that influence the preference of consumers to coffee locally in Regency Muna, to determine the priority choice of consumers to coffee locally in Regency Muna, and to determine a shift in the balance of consumers to coffee Local in Regency Muna.The population in this study are consumers who buy and consume coffee at the study site, the determination of the sample is done by random sampling to obtain 75 respondents. Data collection is done through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis using multivariate regression analysis with the help of SPSS 16 for windows, analysis of exponential comparison methods and markov analysis. The results of this study indicate that consumer preferences for local coffee on taste variables have a significant effect with a significant value of n 0,000 <0.05, aroma variables have a significant effect 0,000 <0.05, and color variables have a significant effect 0,000 <0.05, MPE analysis shows that local kahawai coffee still has a great opportunity as a priority for consumers in the consumption of coffee in the Maabholu Village, and Markov analysis shows the equilibrium point in the 16th period namely local kahawai coffee 0.243, instant ABC Mocca coffee 0.387, instant coffee boat fire 0.230, and instant coffee Tora Bika 0.054.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial feasibility of cashew agro-industry in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province. To select key informants carried out deliberately (purposive), namely the criteria of people or other parties who know about the cashew industry, experienced, know in detail about this business, and know the surrounding conditions. The informants chosen in this study are the owners of the cashew industry and related government agencies. Data analysis techniques used are (1) Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) analysis; (2) Net Present Value (NPV) analysis; and (3) Internal Rate of Return (IRR) analysis. The results obtained by the BCR value of 1.315, the NPV value obtained by 373.253.360, and the IRR value of 30%. Based on the value of the three criteria used, it shows that cashew agroindustry in Kendari City is financially feasible to be developed
