Abstract

Geography is one of the lessons that support character education and integrate it into textbooks. An assessment instrument is needed to determine the value of PPK (Strengthening Character Education) in the textbook. This study aims to design an instrument for evaluating PPK values in textbooks with indicators of nationalism and mutual cooperation. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method in the form of a questionnaire and is integrated with natural disaster mitigation materials. The results showed 1 indicator with no PPK values, 11 indicators with no PPK values, and 7 indicators with PPK values. The trials of this instrument need to be broadly developed to obtain perfect instrument validity.

Abstract

This study aims at determining the differences in student learning outcomes by involving two classes,i.e. the experimental  classes taugtt by TGT learning model integrated with the STAD learning model as well as the control class taught by the STAD learning model. This experimental research involved all students of grade XI social sciences, namely the experimental class ( XI Social Sciences 2 ) and the control class ( XI Scocial Sciences 4 ).The hypothesis testing results show that the average learnig valuye of the students in the experimental class is 77,43  and the average learning value in the control class is 71,95. Considering the hypothesis testing results in α = 0,05, it is found that tcount = 2,447 ttabel =1.679. This signifies that H0 is rejected ,and the scoes of student who lerning with the TGT cooperative learning model integration with the STAD learning model are higher that students who used the STAD cooperative learning model in Geograhy learning.

Abstract

Presentation of maps in paper form is still often done. The advancement of mobile devices and the support of augmented reality technology are alternatives in making map media presentations more interesting and interactive. This research aims to develop media prototypes in the form of educational games based on mobile augmented reality. Media development is carried out using a prototype approach. The developed media is able to display 3D map objects properly based on the results of black box testing and beta testing. Black box testing shows that the media functions as needed. Beta testing states that this application can be accepted with the percentage of survey results is 89.7%.

Development of Learning Media based on Sparkol VideoScribe Integrated with Wondershare Filmora on Geography Subject with Material of Natural Disaster Mitigation. This research aims to know the development of learning media based on Sparkol VideoScribe integrated with Wondershare Filmora on geography subject with material of natural disaster mitigation. This research applies Research and Development (R D) method  developed by Borg Gall and adapted to the needs of the researcher. Data collection was conducted using observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation in which the instrument used in the form of assessment criteria to know the feasibility of the media from the material expert, media expert, and geography teachers as well as students' responses on the learning media by using questionnaires. The collected data is research finding regarding the quality of learning media and suggestions for product revisions. The results of the validation of the material expert, media expert and the geography teacher obtained an average rating of 94.90% which is classified into "extremely valid " category. While the students’ responses based on the  results of a limited scale trial obtained a value of 89,88%, which is classified into the “extremely good” category. Then the students’ responses based on the results of the general scale trial obtained a value of 84,59%, which is classified into the “extremely good” category. Thus, it can be concluded that learning media based on Sparkol VideoScribe integrated with Wondershare Filmora on geography subject with the material of natural disaster mitigation can be used as learning media in school and obtained good responses by students.

Abstract

The Effect of Crossword Puzzle Game Media on Students’ Learning Outcomes in Geography Learning (A Case Study at Grade X IPS at Senior High School of  SMAN 1 Marisa). This experimental study is about learning outcomes which aimed to determine significant differences in students' learning outcomes using crossword media and Powerpoint media. This employed a quantitative approach where the design forms use a posttest-only control group design. In this method, we will see how the cause and effect relationships of using treatments use crosswords and PowerPoint media. In collecting data, learning test results are used in the study sample. The sample is two classes of X IPS as an experimental class with a control class, namely class X IPS 1 consisting of 32 students as an experimental class and class X IPS 3 consisting of 31 students as a control class. To take samples, the researcher used a Clauster random sampling technique or random sampling group. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that there was a significant difference on the learning outcomes of students who were taught using media crosswords with learning outcomes of students who were taught using powerpoint media. This is indicated by the results of the t-test. Furthermore, the value of t is t count = 4,57 and t table = 1,99. The sample is stated to be significantly different if t count t table. Hypothesis test results show that t count t table is 4,57 1,99. Therefore, it can be concluded that from the t-test results H0 is rejected and HI is accepted. In other words, it has a significant difference
