Abstract

This research aims (1) to explain the process of mixed learning model application using google google classroom to increase student achievement in class XI IPS 1 di SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta and (2) to improve learning achievement of students in class XI IPS 1 di SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta by employing mixed learning model with google classroom. The research is a class action research in which research subjects are 24 students in class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta. Students achievement is collected through observation process and learning result test. Data is analyzed qualitatively to portrait the improvement of student performance in each cycle. The data on the completeness of learning resul is analyzed based on Minimal score (KKM). The total percentage of completeness is also calculated. The research findings demonstrate that (1) the application process of mixed learning model employing google classroom consists of three phases, namely designing the research, the implementation of class action research and evaluation of the whole process. The last phase is also called reflection in which teacher thinks about all steps of research and formulate some actions to improve shortcomings of the research. (2) The impact of mixed learning method using google class room on student achievement is positive. Student achievement has been improved as demonstrated by learning result test in each cycle. The total percentage of completeness of student is 83 %.

Abstract

This study aims to, 1) increase interest in learning history through the method of learning Mind Mapping in class X science 1 students of SMA Negeri 1 Sewon 2016/2017 school year. 2) improve the history of learning achievement through the Mind Mapping learning method in class X science 1 students of SMA Negeri 1 Sewon 2016/2017 academic year. This research was conducted in class X Science 1 of SMA Negeri 1 Sewon in 2016/2017 school year. The study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, with two cycles. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, questionnaires, and historical learning outcomes tests. The instruments used in this study were observation guidelines, questionnaires, and historical learning achievement tests. The data analysis technique used in this research is comparative descriptive by comparing pre-action data, cycle I and cycle II. The results showed that 1) the application of the Mind Mapping method was able to increase learning interest. Student interest in learning categories is good and very good, in pre-cycle as many as 13 students (54.17%), in the first cycle increased from 17 students (70.83%) at the first meeting, to 19 students (79.17%) at the meeting second. In cycle II, it increased from 21 students (87.50%) at the first meeting, to 22 students (91.67%) at the second meeting. 2) The application of the Mind Mapping method can improve historical learning achievement in students of class X Science 1 of SMA Negeri 1 Sewon in the 2016/2017 school year. Historical learning achievement increased from the classical average of 69.38 and mastery learning by 15 students (62.50%) in the pre-cycle, increased to an average of 79.25 and mastery learning by 19 students (79.17%) in the first cycle, and an average of 86.67 and completeness of learning as many as 22 students (91.67%) in the second cycle.

Abstract

This class action research aims to improve students' motivation and learning outcomes through the SETS (Science, Environment, Technology and Society) approach to Environmental Pollution VII VII E material, SMP Negeri 1 Wonosari in semester 2 academic year 2017/2018. This research lasted for 2 (two) cycles, the first cycle was held 3 (three) meetings and the second cycle was held 2 (two) meetings. Things to be improved through this classroom action research are learning motivation and student learning outcomes through the SETS approach. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires and tests. Motivation questionnaire data is in the form of student acquisition scores during cycle I and cycle II while the learning outcome data is the value of student test results after the learning process of cycle I and cycle II. The results of the questionnaire are tabulated and processed and then compared with indicators of success that have been determined to measure the improvement and achievement. The test result data is processed by calculating the percentage of students who reach the KKM then compared with indicators of success to find out the improvement and achievement. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion it can be concluded that the SETS approach can increase student motivation and student learning outcomes. The final recapitulation of student learning motivation increased from 65.83% (enough) in the first cycle to 76.28% (good) in the second cycle while the student learning outcomes increased from 58.33% in the first cycle to 83.33% in the second cycle.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to improve students' creativities in statistics through the PjBL-STEM class XII MIPA 6 SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta. This research is a classroom action research conducted during two cycles, where each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results showed that to increase the creativity of students in statistics through the PjBL-STEM learning model can be done by: (a) reflection, namely students learn statistics as part of mathematics about the the measures of central tendency and measures of variability using technology such as calculator or computer to process the measures of central tendency and measures of variability of data about height and weight; (b) research, namely students conducting research searching for information from various relevant sources in developing understanding that is relevant to the project being carried out related to science about BMI (Body Mass Index); (c) discovery, namely students use information obtained when conducting research to develop projects. Students are trained to build cooperation in groups and collaborate to present alternative problem solutions that make it easy for them to process data using technology in BMI calculator designs and posters; (d) application, namely students learn to connect various discipline in STEM, test products or solutions that have been previously determined, and then make improvements to the BMI calculator and poster; (e) presentation, namely students communicate products or solutions between students in classroom or the wider community using technology in poster that equipped with QR-Code.

Abstract

The purposes of this school action research are: 1)To improvethe ability of teachers in the use of learning methods through clinical supervision. 2) To find out the steps of improvementof the ability of teachers in the use of learning methods through clinical supervision at SD SindetJetis Sub-District Semester 2 in 2017/2018 school year. A teacher is required to have several abilities and skills as part of the teacher's professional competence.The school action research method consists of two cycles. Each cycle carried out in two meetings. Where in the procedure each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study using observation, discussion, and interview. The research subjects consists of 7 (seven) teachers. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in the ability of teachers in the of learning method through clinical supervision in the second semester of the school year 2017/2018 at SD Sindet UPT PPK Jetis. In the first cycle, the results of the teacher's ability to prepare Lesson Plans (RPP) reached an average of 65%, the assessment of Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM) reached 62%, and the use of learning methods reached 69%. In the second cycle, the preparation of Lesson Plans reached 74%, the implementation of teaching and learning activities reached 77%, and the use of learning methods reached 82%. Based on the results of the school action research the ability of teachers in the use of learning methods through clinical supervision has increased.

Abstract

Teachers are professional educators. To carry out their duties in educating students, teachers must have sufficient competence. Teachers who have good competence are certainly also better able to carry out learning well, especially in pedagogical competence in implementing learning. There are still problems related to teacher teaching achievement. Teachers still have low pedagogical learning competencies. The objectives of this study are (1) to determine the implementation of clinical supervision as an effort to improve the pedagogical competence of teachers at SD Nogosari UPT PPK Imogiri Bantul, and (2) to improve the implementation of clinical supervision as an effort to improve teacher pedagogical competence at SD Nogosari PPT Imogiri Bantul. This research is a school action research. The subjects in this study were elementary school teachers from Nogosari UPT PPK Imogiri Bantul in the academic year 2017/2018. Data collection is done through observation. Data analysis was performed through descriptive analysis. Clinical supervision is carried out through 3 stages, namely the initial meeting, observation, and final meeting stages. After the implementation of the two cycle of action research there was an increase in pedagogical competence in implementing teacher learning. The results of assessing pedagogical competence in implementing teacher learning before implementing action have not yet reached the minimum grade limit on the majority of teachers. After the first cycle, completeness obtained was 62.5% with an average value of 72.38. In the first cycle, the lowest value was 64.29 and the highest value was 82.38. This is not as expected because the expected results are at least the expected completeness> 80%, with teacher scores> 68.75. In cycle II, the completeness obtained was 100% with an average value of 81.13. The lowest value is 77.62 and the highest value is 89.52. This is in accordance with the expected because the expected results after achieving the expected completeness> 80%, with teacher grades> 68.75.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research aims to improve the performance and achievement of Physics learning outcomes of XKR1 students at SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta with the application of the Problem Based Learning model in learning Physics of Competence in Heat Temperature and Mechanical Properties of Materials. This research is two cycles, each cycle includes four steps, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The results showed an increase in cycle performance 1: 22.50%, cycle 2: 38.75%, an increase of 16.25%. Increased Physics learning achievement pre-cycle average of 30.75, cycle 1 averaged 65.08, in cycle 2 the average was 72.50. This study was 2 cycles, because in cycle 2, achievement of student learning outcomes reached an average on average 70, the application of the PBL model needs to be applied because of the increase in performance and achievement of learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to improve the writing ability of students of Class XI MIPA-1 Yogyakarta 7 Public High School in 2018/2019 through the application of the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) learning model. This research was conducted collaboratively and participatively which was carried out in two cycles. Data collection in this study was carried out using participant observation and written tests. Based on the results of the study concluded that the application of the STAD learning model can improve motivation and writing ability. This is supported by research data that shows an increase in the percentage of completeness of the written tests conducted at the second meeting in each cycle. At the time of pre-cycle, students completeness was only 36%, after the first cycle was implemented with the STAD learning model the percentage of students' writing ability was 61% then in the cycle II action reached 91%. The application of the STAD learning model can also improve the indicators of students' ability to write grade XI MIPA-1 SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta in 2018/2019 Academic Year. Indicators of students' writing ability consist of cohesion, coherence and language style. In the first cycle, the students' writing ability indicator obtained a final score of 64%, meaning that the ability to write was within the sufficient criteria. In the second cycle the final score of the indicator of students' writing ability reached 90% so that it is in good criteria.

Abstract

STEM learning in Australia has been well implemented and inspires Indonesian teachers to have great experiences. In Australia, STEM is considered as an learning approach and development that integrates the interrelated of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The aim of the paper is to give a brief description of the implementation of STEM in Australia, the condition of transportation, the characteristic of people, as the result of observation during a short course in Australia. The result of the observation shows that STEM has been well implemented. The school has implemented STEM for their frame work. The school collaborate with the universities and industries to support their students in doing research. STEM can use 5E (Engage, Explore, Elaborate, Explain, Evaluate). The transportation system and the social relationship provide the Indonesian teachers to get good ones. The way of thinking , the education system, and the development of technology in schools can be valuable and great possibilities to implement in Indonesia. Other advance countries has implemented STEM. Indonesia should implement STEM to support the success of the students among the 21th century and the revolution 4.0 era.

Abstract

This study aims to increase learning motivation and chemistry learning outcomes of students of class XI IPA 1 of SMAN 1 Banguntapan 2018/2019 academic year on Salt Hydrolysis material through the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model (Student Teams Achievement Divisions). The learning motivation observed consisted of aspects of choice, confidence for success, and tenacity in trying. This type of research is Class Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles with the subjects of the XI IPA 1 class students of SMAN 1 Banguntapan 2018/2019 academic year as many as 34 students. Data collection was carried out by observation, filling in learning motivation questionnaires, giving quiz questions, and document studies. The instruments used to collect data in this study were observation sheets for the implementation of learning, Student Worksheets, learning motivation questionnaires, quiz questions, and documents. Analysis of data from observation of learning activities, questionnaires, quiz questions, and documents carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the application of STAD type cooperative learning correctly through five stages of TGT cooperative learning consisting of stages of class presentations, group learning, group presentations, quizzes, and group awards, can increase learning motivation and chemistry learning outcomes. Based on the results of the questionnaire, the percentage of students who had high learning motivation in the first cycle was 64.71%, while in the second cycle there were 82.35%. Based on the implementation of the quiz the learning outcomes of students also increased, in the first cycle the percentage of students reached KKM was 29.41%, while in the second cycle it was 61.75%.
