Abstract

Rain that happened in one catchment area is a very important value of that catchment area system. In arranging a water utilizing plan and flood controlling plan usually used cathment rainfall in all those catch area. In this study, to obtaining reduction coefficient (β) measurement, the regression analysys was done to coefficientt and constant from each parameters in reduction coefficient (β), likes catchment area width (A), number of rainfall gauges (N), and rainfall gauges elevation (E) using SPSS program. From the analysis, phase of calibration was used cathment rainfall and point rainfall bigger than 40 mm in 10 yaer, the average of error between reference- cathment rainfall with resulted cathment rainfall from multiplying with it’s reduction coefficient in the study (estimated- cathment rainfall) that is 15,0099 mm, or approximately 28,0718%. While, cathment rainfall result with its reduction coefficient was used for estimated design rainfall. For low return period (2 and 5 year) the smallest relative error was reached from this cathment rainfall product from reduction coefficient by the study. Meanwhile, for high return period (higher than 5 year), the smallest relative error was resulted from cathment rainfall Haspers’s reduction coefficient.

Abstract

The Petapahan River is one of the rivers in Petapahan village which is prone to flooding that has an area of ​​89.23 km2 of watershed with a length of 16 km. Every flood incident due to overflow of the river has caused a significant risk flood such as almost 60 ha every year the fields are flooded, 143 houses are flooded, 56 km of national roads and roads are submerged in water. Planning flood control in the petapahan river can be done if the planned flood discharge in this river is known, so that the flood discharge can be designed to control the flood building in this study is the embankment. The embankment serves to hold flood discharge so that the overflow due to the petapahan river is expected to be the embankment, the embankment was designed using a flood discharge analysis plan using the HSS Gama I method using one rainfall post record, to calculate the hydraulic analysis using the Hec-Ras software in determining the river water profile, in calculating the embankment slope stability using the bishop method. The planned flood discharge analysis using the HSS Gama I method will produce a 25-year return flood discharge which is the basis for calculating the embankment dimensions, to calculate the overflowing water level on the river bank, then the 100 th re-flow of water is simulated into the hec-ras software. Based on the results of the calculation of the Hec-Ras application it is known that the water level that crosses a cliff is 150 cm. So for the construction of the flood retaining dike, the dimensions can be known as follows: Embankment height: 350 cm, Mercury width: 300 cm, Slope: 1: 2, Embankment Width: 500 cm From the calculation of Geo-Slope above for numerical Bishop Method Safety Factor > 1 which is 0.770 for granular soils which have a sliding angle of 33

Abstract

Congestion occurs due to increased vehicle and very rapid population growth in the city of Padang. The problem of congestion is generally caused by the physical limitations of urban land, economic and social aspects and culture of the community, these very aspects determining the moral, discipline and human behavior as users of transportation. The purpose of this study is to identify the causes of congestion, knowing the volume of vehicle traffic, knowing the average daily and to find out the capacity at the junction of the black stump road up to the front of the basko grand mall. The highway is a road transport infrastructure play a role very important in the transport sector, especially in the continuity of the distribution of goods and services. To get effective data on traffic volume and road junction up to the front of the black stump basko grand mall to do the survey. Calculation on the road junction of the black stump up front with basko grand mall is done according to the Direktorat Jendral Bina Marga. The peak hours for a motorcycle happened at 17.00-18.00 Gmt bypassed 3795 vehicles. Private car at 17.00-18.00 Gmt with the amount of 1257 vehicles. For Pick up and the Minibus occurred at 07.00-08.00 am passed 380 vehicles. For micro trucks and cars by the groom at 17.00-18.00 Gmt with a population of 75 vehicles. Mini bus or minibus at 17.00-18.00 Gmt with a population of 91 vehicles. For large buses at 17.00-18.00 Gmt with the number of 66 vehicles.

Abstract

Road pavement damage within its service period has always been a problem of land transportation. The pavement failure to bear the load is one of the decreasing factors to the pavement durability. It is important to select the appropriate pavement to anticipate such problem. Commonly used pavement types (stiff and flexible pavement) have their strengths and weakness. Innovation and technology development are required to obtain better pavement. One of the efforts was developing the semi-flexible pavement by combining the current pavement strengths. Therefore, the researcher attempted to study the semi flexible pavement characteristics using the viscocrete-10 additive in mortar and Gilsonite in asphalt reviewed by flexural strength test. Research was carried out by composing the open graded asphalt (OGA) specimens in beam shape with asphalt concentration of 2.5%, 3.0%, and 3.5% and added with 0.3% Gilsonite additive. The OGA beam shaped was grouted with mortar cement using the additive viscocrate-10 concentrations of 0.8%, 0.9% and 1.0% to become the semi flexible pavement specimen. Next, the 28 days specimen was tested for its flexural strength using the method of 4 loading points. Analysis of the specimen strength and flexural test under the maximum load was taken to the specimen. Results of the research showed that the deflection and flexural strength varied in accordance to the increasing addition of asphalt as well as viscocrete-10 concentration. The highest value of the flexible strength, which was 3.32 MPa, was achieved by the specimen with asphalt and viscocrete additive concentration of 2.5% and 0.8%, respectively. The highest flexural strength value, which was 3.60mm, was obtained by the specimen with 3.5% asphalt content and 1.0% viscocrete-10 content. The test taken to the comparing specimen, which was the deflection pavement (SMA 0/11) showed 1.19MPa and 11.3 mm flexural strength. The stiffness test (normal concrete) indicated that the bending strength was 4.6 MPa with 1.53 mm flexural strength.

Abstract

Indraigiri Hilir has a very large peatland. Large peatland is constraint in the development of infrastructure of a region. The problems posed ini the field of contruction is the amount of land degradation and low soil carrying capacity. Therefore, an alternative to the soil reinforcement is required by using the cerucuk timber to increase the carrying capacity of the foundation and soil reinforcement. This research was conducted to determine Musculoskletal Disorders (MSDs) in instalation of piles (the cerucuk timber) using Nordic Body Map Questionnaire. NBM happers due to these 28 body parts are ini direct contact with the activities. The primary cause of MSDs is unnatural working attitude and exessive mucle tension began from design of a working system that is designed not ini accordance with the workers’ limitation

Abstract

Development of tourism object in Padang City contained in RPJMD 2014-2019 Padang City and Strategic Planning from Cultural and Tourism Department of Padang City. Purus Beach is a popular tourism object in Padang City. The existence of Purus Beach hopes can give positive contribution to the society. The objectives from this research are 1) describe the development of Purus Beach by Padang City Government; 2) describe role of the society in supporting development of Purus Beach in Padang. This research used combined method, case study and survey. The result from this research indicated Padang City government stated 3 (three) sectors of development Padang City tourism, those are : revamping integrated tourism destination in Padang City Government; cultural preservation with activating Minangkabau cultural art gallery; traditional games, and doing events based Minangkabau art; and increase partnership and cooperation with other stakeholders. Development program from Purus Beach refers to concept in RIPPDA 2008-2017 Cultural and Tourism Department of Padang City, that is Natural Beach Experience. Involvement or participation from the society in developing Purus Beach is in development planning at Purus subdistrict generally has done in Musrenbag Purus sub district. Then, roles of the society in developing Purus Beach are take care of tourism object, keep cleaning of Purus Beach and create sense of safe and comfort in form of service to the visitors or tourists and uses Purus Beach as a business opportunity. There are three aspects those become focus in society involvement in developing Purus Beach. Those aspects are economics, social and environment

Abstract

The bridge is a complementary road building whose existence is indispensable as an infrastructure for the movement of goods and services that connects road segments which are cut off by various conditions due to very crowded rivers, valleys, and land transportation. The location was done on the Sungai Tiu, Lubuk Jambi - Pucuk Rantau, Kuantan Singingi. The bridge of type C of Sungai Tiu previously was built firmly, but now was broken and collapsed, so that all components of the bridge will be dismantled. The collapse of this bridge is because the bridge is not able to support heavy of vehicles loaded with coal of loads exceed the maximum carrying capacity of 55 tons. The process of dismantling the bridge components is done manually, because mechanical disassembly using heavy equipment is not possible and too expensive. The Directors of bridge demolition activities are the Public Works and Public Housing Agency and its contractor, PT. Usaha Kita Abadi. The purpose of this study is to see how effective the Manual Method by using simple tools in dismantling building structures over the steel frame bridge. The components of the bridge to be demolished as follows: backrest / fence (Handrail), wind bond (Upper Bracing), portal, top edge rod (Top chord), diagonal rod, floor, elongated girder (Stringer), transverse girder (Cross Beam) ) and bottom edge rod (Bottom Chord). The equipments used are: Meters, welds, Hammers, Binding tools and pullers, Shock / Fitting Ring Keys, Drop Hammer, Pulley wheels, and Lier (Winch) Pulling Tools. Demolition of the Steel Frame Bridge (Upper Building) with the Manual Method include: Handrail demolition, Upper Bracing, Portal demolition work, Top chord demolition, Diagonal rod demolition work , Bridge floor demolition work, Elongated girder (Stringer) demolition work, Cross Beam demolition work, Bottom Chord demolition work. The demolition of the building on Sungai Tiu bridge which has collapsed by Manual Method on the form of simple equipment utilization has effectively managed to evacuate the upper parts of the bridge

Abstract

This study aims to study and analiyze about 1) condition of land characteristics (effective slope on land, slope, elevation, drainage rainfall, soil texture, permeability, soil ph, nitrogen (N), phospohorus (P), kalium (K), for dragon fruit in research area.(2) The level of land suitable of Naga dragon Fruit (3)Spatial distribution of lands suitability. Analysis of the data used desriptive with the sampling area. The land units in research area consisted of two processes from the fluvial and volcanic land forms be samples study,the are : 1)The land form process of fluvial oringin (F) was F1.I.Sw.Qal.Al, F1.Teg.Qal.Al, F1.I.Pm.Qal.Al, F.I.KB.QTt.Reg. 2) the process area of volcanic origin is V1.III.Ht.QTt.Reg, V2.III.KB.QTt.Gle d, V2.III.KB.Qtau.Gle d. The mapping unit used is land units, from overlays of several maps, namely maps of land froms, slopes, land uses, land and geology. This land unit maps used for basic drawing research samples. The results of this study show 2(two) levels of land suitability, very suitable and suitable. Very suitable land unit found in F1 land unit. I.Sw.Qal.Al. found in Nagari Ketaping, Nagari Buayan, Nagari Sungai Buluh, Nagari Kasang and land units.F3.I.Kb.QTt.Al in Nagari Sungai Buluh, suitable land unit found F1 land unit Teg.Qal. Abstract

Alinemen vertikal jalan adalah bagian yang penting karena jika kemriringan melebihi standar maka akan menyulitkan kendaraan untuk melewatinya. Alinemen vertikal/tanjakan di Jalan Proklamasi km 5 (depan polres Teluk Kuantan) memiliki kemiringan yang besar sehingga kendaraan berat banyak yang tidak sanggup mendaki dan menyebabkan terjadinya kecelakaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi alinemen vertikal tersebut apakah sudah sesuai dengan Tata Cara Perencanaan Jalan Antar Kota 1997. Kemiringan alinemen vertikal di hitung dengan mengambil data elevasi eksisting jalan dengan menggunakan theodolit dan membagi jalan menjadi 4 segmen. Dengan kecepatan 80 km/jam, kelandaian yang dizinkan adalah maksimal 5% maka terdapat 2 segmen yang melebihi standar yaitu segmen III (13,7%) dan IV( 6,8%), dan dengan kecepatan 60 km/jam maka kelandaian maksimal 8% terdapat 1 segmen yang melebihi standar yaitu segmen III (13,7). Dengan memperbaiki kelandaian menjadi 8% maka perlu dilakukan pemotongan paling tinggi 4,24m di STA 0+170 dan kelandaian 5% pemotongan 8,05m di STA 0+242. Alternatif lain adalah membuat lajur pendakian dengan lebar 3,75m dengan menggunakan lahan dikiri (3m) dan kanan (3,5m) jalan yang masih tersedia. Hasil perhitungan tebal perkerasan lentur untuk lajur pendakian adalah 5cm ATB, 20 cm agregat kelas A dan 22 cm agregat kelas B
