Abstract

Cattle fattening in Indonesia use a dry lot fattening system, which is a fattening system in a cage, and the feed is rationed or served. The feed has a high contribution of around 75% in production costs. The purpose of this Final Project Report is to understand the feed management of beef cattle at PT Indo Prima Beef. Data was collected using interviews, observation, and library methods. Feed planning is done 2 times, in the morning ± 06.00 to see the consumption of the night and during the day ± 13.00 to see the morning consumption. Feed distribution at PT Indo Prima Beef is divided into 2, the distribution of forage feed and the distribution of concentrate feed. PT Indo Prima Beef made 2 types of concentrates which named F8 and F9. F8 is a concentrate that has 20% protein content and 63% of energy (TDN). F8 concentrate was made for the grower period while F9 concentrate made for the finisher period. F9 has a higher energy content (TDN) of 69% and a lower protein content of 18%.  Keywords: beef cattle, feed, management

Abstract

Broiler ducks are ducks that are able to grow fast and can efficiently convert feed into meat with high nutritional value. Broiler ducks have good flesh structure and structure. The good meat structure of broilers is now becoming more popular among the people, because the taste of the meat is tasty and tasty. Broiler ducks known by the public include hybrid ducks and Peking ducks. The ever-increasing need for duck meat is not matched by the availability of enough duck meat in the market, to meet the needs of the community. This could be the potential to cultivate broilers as evidence that poultry business and agribusiness, especially ducks are still wide open with promising profit prospects. The method used is: to maintain broilers totaling 50, each of which consists of 25 hybrid ducks and peking 25 tails, then feeding and drinking, taking data through recording weighing weight, and analyzing the profitability of broiler duck farming. Based on maintenance for 42 days, the data obtained was the consumption of 3.645 g / tail hybrid rations and the consumption of 3.727g pork duck / tail, United Nations hybrid duck 1.168,8 g and peking duck 1.171,04 g, FCR hybrid duck 3.11 and Peking duck 3.18 and hybrid duck mortality 4% and Peking 12%. Weight gain, mortality, and conversion of Peking duck feed were higher than hybrid ducks. Keywords: hybrid duck, Peking duck, Production Perform

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of the addition of probiotics, prebiotics and eubiotics in broilers on the appearance of broiler production. The material used was 100 broilers, which were kept from Day Old Chicks until the age of 4 weeks and distributed in 4 groups, namely probiotics, prebiotics and eubiotics. The research method was experimental compiled based on a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments tested were as follows: the control group (without any additions), probiotics, prebiotics and eubiotics. The variables observed in this study were feed consumption; weight gain (PBB); feed conversion; carcass weight and mortality. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance and if there were differences between treatments. The results showed that the addition of probiotics, prebiotics and eubiotics increased weight gain, increased consumption and was able to suppress the value of feed conversion. Keywords: Broiler, Appearanc, Growth Boosters

Abstract

Goats are livestock that is classified as small ruminants. One of the factors that influence goat productivity is health management. Health management is a disease control process so that livestock productivity can be maximized. One of the goat diseases in CV Mitra Tani Farm is an 'orf' disease. "Orf" is a scab that attacks the area around the goat's mouth. The ‘orf’ disease is caused by a zoonotic virus. Orf can cause goats to have difficulty in consuming food, so that the goats become thin, and increase morbidity. The purpose of this Final Project was to determine the occurrence of 'orf' disease in goats in CV Mitra Tani Farm. PE goats and pea goats were used as observation material. Observation, interviews, and secondary data collection were used to collect data in the CV. Mitra Tani Farm. Based on the observations of ‘orf’ disease in CV Mitra Tani Farm can be concluded that the clinical symptoms seen are blisters in the area around the mouth on the edge of the right lip. Orf disease management in the CV. Mitra Tani Farm was cleaning scabs around the mouth and administration of drugs in the form of gusanex® and vitamin B-complex. Keywords: Goat, orf disease, management

Abstract

This study aims to determine the growth of broiler chickens and analyze the feasibility of broiler farming with the addition of liquid organic supplements. Liquid organic supplements (SOC) or also called probiotics contain Lactobacillus sp, Azetobacter sp, Basiluss sp, vitamins, and minerals. SOC can increase antibodies, reduce stress levels, suppress the onset of disease, help stimulate appetite, and accelerate the growth of broiler chicken. Broilers are divided into 4 treatments female broilers without SOC, male broilers without SOC, female broilers with the addition of SOC, and treatment of male broilers with the addition of SOC. Based on the results and discussion the highest PBB is obtained by male chicken with SOC. Feasibility analysis shows that all treatments are feasible, B/C (3.11) and R/C (3.18) values of treatments added by SOC are higher than treatments without SOC.Keywords: Broiler, Feasibility Analysis, SOC

Abstract

Lampung Province is one of the provinces that has very good potential in developing animal husbandry businesses. This is evidenced by the fact that Lampung province is ranked second in the largest number of beef cattle population on the island of Sumatra. Handling of disease is one of the important factors in the sustainability of a business, especially in the field of animal husbandry. Health problems in pre-weaning calves apart from diarrhea are umbilical cord infections, worms and pneumonia. One of the most common treatments for the disease is the treatment of pneumonia in calves. The aim of this study was to understand the management of pneumonia in pre-weaning calves in Central Lampung. Data were collected from March to April 2020. The cause of pneumonia was influenced by several factors, namely: bacteria, viruses, and environmental factors. The symptoms that physically contracted pneumonia include; discharge from the nose, weak body condition, head that always looks down, heavy breathing followed by coughing. Handling of pneumonia calves in Central Lampung is early detection by routine health control at the susceptible calf age, namely 2-4 weeks of age so that calves identified with pneumonia can be handled quickly. Give antibiotics (enrofloxacin) and anti-inflammatory (tolfenamic acid) with repetitions every 3 days with a drug dose of 1ml / 40 kg body weight until the calf shows signs of recovery and then recovery is carried out.
