Abstract

Fertilization Residual Effect Growth on Organic and Inorganic for Lettuce Plant (Lactuca sativa L.) With Used in Tsunami SoilABSTRACT. Remediation of former tsunamis can be made with organic and inorganic fertilizer. Efforts to improve tsunami land using organic ingredients, to create a land that is good for plant growth is by maintaining a balanced plant nutrient availability. This can be done by the way of inorganic fertilizer. Most needed nutrients plants in large numbers and balanced is the elements nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) how far the effect of organic and inorganic fertilizers on the growth of lettuce and elemental content of NPK in soil and plant remains problems that need to be tested. The experimental design used in this research is completely randomized design (CRD) 4 x 2 factorial with three replications. There were two factors studied, namely manure doses (K) and NPK fertilizer doses Pearl (M). Increased plant growth and nutrient content of lettuce N, P, and K in soil and plants due to organic and inorganic fertilizer application is highly dependent on the those administered. Fertilizer combinations that produce the best growth of lettuce plant was obtained in combination with organic fertilizer 30 ton ha-1 with the addition of inorganic NPK fertilizer 1000 kg ha-1, particularly in the first planting, and has decreased in the second planting. Residues of organic and inorganic fertilizer application also affected growth and nutrient uptake, but the effect is lower than the effect at the beginning of giving fertilizer.

Abstract

 The Efficacy of Pendimethalin Herbicide Mixtures and its Effects on Weed and Yield of SoybeanABSTRACT. Field research has been conducted in Experimental Farm of Agriculture Faculty University of Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh from March to July 2006 for evaluation efficacy of pendimethalin herbicide mixtures and its effect on weed and yield of soybean. Pendimethalin+imazetaphyr herbicide at dosage of 1.0 kg+70 g.a.i. ha-1 could decrease dry weight weed and increase percentage of weed control. Dried seed yield were higher when pendimethalin+imazetaphyr herbicide was applied at dosage 1.0 kg + 70 g.a.i. ha-1.

Abstract

Resistency of Tomatoes Varieties on Fusarium wilt Disease (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici)ABSTRACT. Tomato plants are herbaceous annual plant, having hermaphrodite  flowers and are suitable to be planted in a cold area. Wilt disease is one of the important disease of tomato plants which is caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici (fol). This disease can cause a great loss to the tomato producing in many regions in the world 20%-30%. A study has been conducted the resistance of several varieties of tomato plants against Fusarium wilt disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici. The tomato varieties observed were Local Aceh, Jelita, Permata, Sakata and Lentana. The results showed that Local Aceh variety and Jelita variety were highly  resistant to Fusarium wilt disease. The other 3 varieties showed a lower level of resistance to the wilt disease compared to those of Local Aceh and Lentana variety.

Abstract

Compatibility of Spodoptera Litura Nuclear Polyhedrosis ViruS (SlNPV) With Tropical Yam (Dioscorea hispida Denst) Ekstract on Larvae Mortality Spodoptera litura Fab.ABSTRACT. Spodoptera litura is a polyphagus and primery pest on many plants. This insect can be infected by nuclear polyhedrosis virus (NPV) and tropical yam was knowingly capable of controlling the insect. The research was aimed at finding an effective concentration of combination of SlNPV and tropical yam extract on mortality of S. litura larva. The research was conducted in Plant Pest Laboratory of Plant Pest and Disease Departemen, Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University. The experiment applied a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of six treatments and four replications. The treatment were in SlNPV concentrations of 0, 3x105, 3x106, 3x107, 3x108, and 3x109 polyhedra inclusion body/ml respectively, combined with poisonous for gadung extract in concentration of 120 ml L-1. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance and followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at level of 0,05. The result showed that application of combination of SlNPV and tropical yam extract was effective and compatible in controlling S. litura. In general, mortality of S. litura was significantly different than control. Mortality of S. litura at all treatments of concentration except S1 and S0 were 100 per cent at 9,8,8, and 7 day after application (DAA). Average of the fastest larvae mortality was 5,46 days given by 3x109 polyhedra inclusion body ml L-1 and the longest was 7,38 days given by control. Treatments of combination of SlNPV and tropical yam extract at concentration of 3x107, 3x108, and 3x109 was compatible and effective in controlling S. litura larvae with mortality level of 85,95, and 100 per cent at 7 DAA, respectively.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membandingkan kualitas susu sapi perah dengan pakan hijauan klobot jagung, pakan hijauan rumput lapangan dan kombinasi pakan hijauan klobot jagung dan hijauan rumput lapangan dengan standar kualitas susu sesuai Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI 01-3141-1998) di lokasi peternakan Kebon Pedes Bogor, serta untuk mebgetahui kandungan residu pestisida pada susu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sejak Juli sampai September 2008. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan Sembilan sampel susu, 3 sampel susu dari pakan hijauan klobot jagung, 3 sampel susu dari pakan hijauan lapangan dan 3 sampel gabungan. Peubah yang diamati adalah densitas susu, kandungan lemak bukan padat, kandungan protein susu, kandungan lemak susu, dan kandungan bahan kering dalam susu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas kimia susu dari pakan hijauan klobot jagung, pakan hijauan rumput lapangan, dan kombinasi keduanya masih sesuai dengan Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI 01-3141-1998).Physical and Chemical Quality Analysis of Milk from Dairy Cows Fed by Corn Husks from Organic Waste of Traditional MarketABSTRACT. The objective of this research was to compare the quality of milk taken from dairy cows fed by corn husks, grass and mix of corn husks and grass with standard of milk quality according Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI 01-3141-1998) at Kebon Pedes dairy farm Bogor, and to examine the content of pesticide residue in milk. This research was conducted from July until September 2008. Nine sample of milk, with three sample from dairy farm that use corn husks as roughages, three sample from dairy farm that use grass and three other from dairy farm that use mix of corn husks and grass were used in this research. Density of milk, solid non fat content, milk protein content, milk fat content, and dry matters content in milk were observed as research variable. Descriptive statistical analysis was used in this research. The results showed that chemical quality of milk from dairy cows fed by corn husks, grass and mix of corn husks and grass still met with the quality of milk according to Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI 01-3141-1998).

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan tingkat kemasakan buah kakao dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair Super ACI yang tepat, serta interaksi antara keduanya, untuk menghasilkan bibit kakao yang terbaik. Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala sejak Agustus hingga Desember 2011. Unit-unit penelitian disusun berdasarkan rancangan acak kelompok faktorial 3 kali 4 dengan 3 ulangan. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan analisis ragam, dan terhadap data yang menunjukkan beda nyata, analisis dilanjutkan dengan uji beda nyata jujur pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terjadi interaksi yang nyata antara tingkat kemasakan buah kakao dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair super ACI pada semua peubah yang diamati. Konsentrasi pupuk organik cair super ACI juga tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kakao. Tingkat kemasakan buah kakao yang tepat untuk menghasilkan benih masak fisiologis dengan tingkat vigor tertinggi adalah yang berwarna hijau kekuningan. The Effect of Fruit Maturity Level and Concentration of Liquid Organic Fertilizer Super ACI to Cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) Seedling GrowthABSTRACT. The purposes of this research are to determine the best cacao fruit maturity level and liquid organic fertilizer Super ACI concentration and also their interaction to achieve the best cacao seedlings. The research conducted at Experimental Station of Agriculture Faculty of Syiah Kuala University, from August to December 2011. Units of treatments arranged according to completely randomized block design, 3 by 4 with 3 replications. Data from observation analyzed with analysis of variance and to them showing significant influenced, continued with honestly significant different test at the level of 5%. The result showed that no significant interaction between treatments to all parameters observed. The concentration of liquid organic fertilizer super ACI also don’t has significant influence to cacao seedlings growth. The appropriate cacao fruit maturity level to produce physiologically matured seed with the highest vigor is those with yellowish green in color.

Abstract

Co-Inoculation Rhizobium and Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria on Acid Mineral Soil to Enhance Seedling Growth of SengonABSTRACT. Study of coinoculation between rhizobium and solubilizing phosphate bacteria was done in greenhouse. The aim of the study to find their effect to seedling growth of sengon in Ultisol and Inceptisol. The study used factorial split plot design and three replication. As a treatment were kind of soil and inoculation of rhizobium and phosphate solubilizing bacteria. As a control was not inoculation, with nitrogen fertilizer and phosphate fertilizer. The result showed that co-inoculation between rhizobium and phosphate solubilizing bacteria could enhance seedling growth of sengon in Ultisol and Inceptisol. As compared between co-inoculation and inoculation with rhizobium or phosphate solubilizing alone, showed that the similar result in Ultisol. While Inceptisol, inoculation with Rhizobium and phosphate solubilizing bacteria better than co-inoculation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan efektivitas jarak tanam dan konsentrasi pupuk hayati terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tumpang sari tomat dan bawang merah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jarak tanam berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman pada 10 dan 55 HST, jumlah buah dan bobot total tanaman tomat. Terdapat interaksi antara jarak tanam dan konsentrasi pupuk hayati terdapat tinggi tanaman pada 55 HST, rata-rata bobot buah per tanaman tomat. Tanaman tomat tertinggi pada 55 HST dijumpai pada perlakuan jarak tanam 60cmx60cm tanpa pemberian pupuk hayati memberikan dan jarak tanam 70cmx60cm dengan pemberian pupuk hayati sebanyak 2% memberikan rata-rata bobot buah tomat tertinggi.Growth and Yield of Intercropping Tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.) and Onion (Allium esculentum L.) due to Different Spacing and Concentration of BiofertilizerABSTRACT. The objective of study were to determine the effective row-spacing and concentration of biofertilizer on growth and yield of intercropping tomato and onion. The result showed that the row spacing have significant effect on height of tomato tree at 10 and 55 DAP, amount of fruit and total weight of per tomato plant. Their were significant interaction between row spacing and concentration of biofertilizer on height at 55 DAP and average weight of fruit per plant of tomato. The row spacing 60 cm x 60 cm and 0% of biofertilizer gave the highest height of tomato tree at 55DAP and row spacing 70 cm x 60 cm with 2% biofertilizer gave heaviest average of weight of tomato fruit per plant.

Abstract

Abstrak.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi jamur endofit pada akar dan bonggol pisang dan menguji potensinya sebagai agens antagonis terhadap patogen F. oxysporum. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Jurong Anoe Kecamatan Padang Tiji Kabupaten Pidie dan Laboratorium Penyakit Tumbuhan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala mulai dari bulan April sampai September 2015. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan 4 tahap yaitu, tahap survei dan pengambilan sampel, tahap isolasi jamur endofit dari akar dan bonggol pisang, tahap uji patogenesitas pada benih padi, dan tahap uji antagonis terhadap patogen F. oxysporum. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan eksperimen, data hasil uji antagonis terhadap jamur patogen F. oxysporum dianalisis menggunakan RAL nonfaktorial dengan 10 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Hasil isolasi diperoleh 23 isolat murni jamur dengan karakteristik morfologi yang berbeda, 10 diantaranya merupakan jamur endofit yang berpotensi sebagai agens antagonis terhadap jamur patogen F. Oxysporum, sedangkan 13 isolat lainnya merupakan jamur non endofit. Berdasarkan hasil uji antagonis secara in vitro diketahui bahwa jamur endofit yang berpotensi dalam menghambat pertumbuhan patogen F. oxysporum adalah isolat SKA3 (1) dengan rata-rata daya hambat 33.70%, diikuti oleh isolat jamur SKB1 (2) 23.21%, SHB1 (1) 19.62%, dan isolat jamur SKA1 (3) 17.90%.

Abstract

Microfungal Community on Litter Horizon Layer of Acacia mangiumABSTRACT. Fungal diversity on litter horizon layer of Acacia mangium were investigated to examined fungal species and fungal community on each litter horizon layer, and also to examined relationship between organic content of litter and fungal community. Twenty two species were isolated from three litter horizon layer with dilution method. Total fungal population on five years old A. mangium standing was higher than two years old, whereas on logging former area was low. Total fungal population on standing two and five years old were highest on L layer follow by F and H layer, but on logging former area were highest F layer followed by L and H layer. Aspergillus was dominate on H layer in almost of sampling collection area, beside that Aspergillus and Penicillium were found also on L and F layer. Generally L and F layer dominated by Sp7, Sp5, Sp20, and Sp22. The highest diversity indice on two years old standing was found at different layer.; L and H on health and Genoderma attacked standing, whereas on standing five years old, highest diversity indices was found at L layer, but on logging former area highest diversity indices was found at H layer.
