Abstract

PENGARUH APLIKASI BIOINSEKTISIDA VITURA (S/NPV) DAN INSEKTISIDA SINTESIS DELTAMETRIN TERHADAP SERANGAN HAMA PADA TANAMAN BUNCIS (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)The Application Effect of Vitura (S/NPV) Bioinsecticide and Synthetic Insecticide of Deltametrin on the Attack of Pests on Bean Crop (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)Sudarmi ThalibFakultas Pertanian Universitas MulawarmanSamarinda ABSTRACTPurposes of this research was to know the effect of Vitura (S/NPV) and Deltametrin on the attack intensity of pest and yield of bean. The experiment was conducted from March to June 2010 at Bukit Pinang Village, Samarinda. The research emploved the Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) wich consisted of six insecticide treatments, i.e. : Po = Control (ni Vitura and Deltametrin application), P1 = 0,75 g Vitura L -1 water, P2  = 1,5 g Vitura L-1 water, P3  = 5 g Deltametrin L-1 (no Vitura application), P4  = 0,75 g Vitura + 5 mg Deltametrin L-1 water and P5  =  1,5 g Vitura + 5 g Deltametrin L-1 water. All treatment were repeated 5 times. The result experiment showed that the treatment affected significantly to attack intensity of pest and yield of bean. The lowest intensity of pest attack and the highst bean yield was obtained on combination of Vitura and Deltametrin at concentration 1,5 g + 5 mg L-1 water.Key words : Bean, Pest, Vitura (S/NPV, Deltametrin.

TINJAUAN KEADAAN PADI SEBAGAI TANAMAN PANGAN UTAMA DI INDONESIA DAN DI KALIMANTAN TIMURState of The Art of Paddy as Staple Food in Indonesia and Situation in East KalimantanAbdul FatahSekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian (STIPER) Kutai TimurSamarinda ABSTRAKSwasembada beras pernah dicapai oleh Indonesia pada tahun 1984, namun sejak tahun tersebut produksi padi nasional tidak mampu lagi mencukupi kebutuhan penduduk akibat tidak seimbangnya jumlah produksi padi dengan jumlah penduduk yang terus bertambah. Secara nasional,  produksi padi selama kurun waktu 40 tahun telah meningkat empat kali lipat, sejak dari delapan juta ton hingga 32 juta ton  melalui revolusi hijau. Kencederungan produksi padi juga meningkat belakangan ini, pada tahun 2008 kembali swasembada beras dicapai. Terlebih lagi, Indonesia yang selama ini dikenal sebagai inportir terbesar, telah didekati oleh sejumlah Negara yang berminat untuk menginpor beras dari Indonesia. Situasi di Kalimantan Timur sedikit berbeda dimana swasembada  beras selama ini belum pernah dicapai. Target pencapaian yang seringkali dicanangkan masih belum mampu diwujudkan. Dengan melihat berbagai kendala di lapangan, ada beberapa aspek yang perlu dipertimbangkan manakala swasembada ingin segera dicapai, diantaranya adalah memaksimalkan fungsi irigasi drainase serta penanganan pasca panen; memaksimalkan percepatan ekstensifikasi lahan sawah baru, dan meminimalkan alih fungsi lahan sawah produktif dari penggunaan lahan lainnya.Key words : Swasembada beras, Tanaman pangan, Kalimantan Timur.

Abstract

STUDI TENTANG PENGARUH INTENSITAS HUJAN DAN KERAPATAN VEGETASI TERHADAP SEDIMENTASI DANAU BUATAN DAN JARINGAN SUNGAINYA DI KEBUN RAYA UNMUL SAMARINDA The effects of rainfall intensity and vegetation density on sedimentation of artificial lake and it’s up-stream channel in Kebun Raya  Unmul SamarindaMuhammad SyafrudinLaboratorium Klimatologi Hutan, Jurusan Manajemen Hutan,Fakultas Kehutanan Universitas MulawarmanSamarinda ABSTRACTThis research was conducted in Kebun Raya Unmul Samarinda, an educational forest of Mulawarman University, It aimed to figure out the effect of rainfall intensity and vegetation, as well as estimated the amount of accumulated sediment in the lake and its up-stream channel. Statistically, this study revealed that two parameters (rainfall and vegetation) has contribute to the discharge flow and discharge suspended load sediment  and respectively it represented by its correlation coefficient which are 0.89-0.97 and 0.86-0.94. The values tend to closed to 1 and it indicate a positive correlation between parameters and discharge flow, as well as discharge suspended load sediment. Discharge flow and discharge suspended load sediment also related each other. The increases of discharge flow will lead to the increases of discharge suspended load sediment. Discharge suspended load sediment will increase whenever a lot of sediment from erosion flow to the river body. Discharge suspended load sediment increase in the river number 2, 4 and 5 because landuse changing occurred in the upper of the rivers outside of the forest. Potential sediment volume in a year at the each sampling points are 895.38 ton at River 1,464.23 ton at river 2,889.04 ton at river 3,336.76 ton at river 4,173.68 ton at river 5 and 335.56 ton at the lake.Key words : rainfall intensity, discharge flow, suspended load sediment.

Abstract

PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PUPUK BOKASHI JERAMI PADI DAN JARAK TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN PADI SAWAH (Oryza sativa L.) Effect of Paddy Straw Bokashi and Spacing on the Growth and Yield of Lowland Rice IR 64 Cultivare (Oryza sativa L.)HamidahFakultas Kehutanan, Universitas Widyagama Mahakam (UWGM) SamarindaSamarinda ABSTRACTThe research aimed at determining the effect of rate of paddy straw bokashi and plant spacing on the growth and yield of lowland rice. The research was conducted at Loh Sumber Village, Loa Kulu district, Kutai Kartanegara regency, from may to august 2008.The research design was split plot design arranged in Randomized Blok Design with 3 replications. The main plot was plant spacing consisted of 2 levels: J1 = 30 cm x 30 cm and J2 = 50 cm x 50 cm. The sub plot was paddy straw bokashi consisted of 5 levels: bo = no fertilizer application (control), b1 = 1,05 Kg bokashi square-1, b2 = 2,11 Kg bokashi square-1, b3 = 3,16 Kg bokashi square-1, b4 = 4,22 Kg bokashi square-1. Result of the research indicated that plant spacing treatment was significantly different on yield and highly significant different on plant height at 30 DAP, number of tiller per hill, number of filled grains, but it was not significantly different on plant height at 15 DAP, 45 DAP, time of harvest and weight of 1000 grains. The paddy straw bokashi treatment was significantly different on plant height at 30 DAP. The heighest yield was observed on the plant spacing treatment at 30 cm x 30 cm (j1) with 3.70 mgha-1. Key words : Paddy straw bokashi, Spacing, Lowland rice.

ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN AIR UNTUK TANAMAN DAN PENYIAPAN LAHANDAERAH IRIGASI DESA MUKTI LESTARI KABUPATEN KUTAI TIMURWater Requirement Analysis for Crops and Land Cultivation in the Village Irrigation Unitof Mukti Lestari Village, East Kutai DustrictYayuk Sri SundariFakultas Teknik, Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 SamarindaSamarinda ABSTRACTWater requirement for paddy and secondary food crops (palawija) was mostly required for land preparation and its requirement was measured by estimating the water debit capacity and determining the proper irrigation flow dimension, both technically and water effiency. The highest evapotranspiration (ETo) occurred in August with 3.95 mm/hr and the lowest one was in june with only 2.91 mm/hr. Effective rainfall of paddy crop refered to Table 1 whereas for palawija was Table 2. Soil tillage that lasted for 35 days, requirement of water ranged 2.29-2.67 mm/hr (refer to Table 3). To gain Total irrigation efficiency (e) of 65%, water required for cropping patterm paddy-paddy palawija that planted in August is 2.67 mm/hr (NFR), 0.3090 lt/ha (DR). Whereas, the water debit planned for main channel is 0.50 lt/dt/ha, 0.40 lt/dt/ha for secondary channel,and 0.35 lt/dt/ha for tertiary channel. Furthemore, the dimension (H) for main channel was 1.00 m, subsequently 0.55 m for secondary channel and 0.45 m for tertiary channel.Key words : Crop water requirement, Land preparation.

Mean while, karst area owns wider protective function, such as water conservation, state revenue from tourism, mining, bird nest, even it closely relates to the national security issue and state intelligence. Pay an attention on karst ecosystem that covers biotic potency and mineral energy exploration is tought to be far from seriousness meanwhile its tension on this ecosystem tends to be larger, even already comes to the stage of ecology endanger. In relation to the global temperature rise that leads to the climate change, natural karst ecosystem seems pay a big role in reducing carbondioxide through karstifikasi process. PENGARUH  PERUBAHAN  IKLIM TERHADAP POPULASI PESUT(Orcaela brevirostris) Di KALIMANTAN TIMUREffect  of Climate Change on the Fresh-Water Dolphin (Pesut) Population(Orcaela brevirostris) In East KalimantanJohansyahFakultas Pertanian, Jurusan Kehutanan, Universitas PalangkarayaPalangkaraya ABSTRACTGlobal climate change is the dynamics agent of environmental degradation, such as habitat of Mahakam Dolphin (Pesut). The degradation is very dangerous for the continuity of Pesut population life and Pesut is highly sensitive toward changes of such factor. Based on several studies conducted, today is found that population of Pesut until the year 2010 is estimated only 50 individuals, while according to Rasi (2011), it ranged 70-80 individuals. The more reduced number of Pesut population from year to year may fear, thus the extinction of this wildlife species could occurred. Some factor influencing the declining of Pesut population are the destruction of forests, changes of Pesut distribution, decreased water oxygen levels and chemical pollution of rivers.Key words : Pesut, Mahakam, Populasi, Perubahan iklim.

Abstract

ANALISIS PERMINTAAN IKAN SEGAR DI DAERAH ISTIMEWA YOGYAKARTADemand Analysis of fresh fish in Daerah Istimewa YogyakartaRr. Tri GunartiningrumSekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian (STIPER) Kutai TimurSangatta ABSTRACTFish are the source of animal protein which are needed by human beings for their intellectual growth and development, especially for who are still in the growth period. The demand of fish is more increasing within society’s awareness to consume food with hight nutritious and protein. This research was aimed to identity: 1) factor influencing the demand of fresh fish 2) commodities which have substitution and complementary relation toward demand of fresh fish and 3) trend of fish’s demand in 2003-2007 inDaerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. The research employed basic descriptive analysis. The secondary data of time series were collected from many sources. The multiple regression was used to analyse factor that influenced demand of fresh and trend analysis was used to know trend of demand. Research results showed factors influencing demand fresh-water fish are: socienty’s income, number of household’s head, price of fresh-water fish, price of salt-water fish, price of chiken, and price of rice. Factors influencing the demand of salt-water fish were number of household’s head price of fresh-water fish, price of salt-water fish and price of chiken. Based on the trend analysis, it was found that for the next five years, the demand of fish in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta will get more increasing.Key words : Demand, Substitution, Complementary.
