Abstract

The study was conducted to find out the significance effect of Argument-Driven Inquiry learning model, student’s academic level, and the interaction between learning model and student’s academic level towards student’s argumentation skills. This study was quasi-experimental with Pretest Post-test Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research were 253eighth grade students of Al- Azhar 3 Junior High School Bandar Lampung devided into 8 classes. The research sample were students of VIII E and VIII G class selected by cluster random sampling technique. Data were analyzed statistically by Ancova test and Least Significant Difference test. The findings of this research showed that ADI learning model and interaction between learning model and student’s academic level significantly influenced student’s argumentation skills with each significant value 0,000 and 0,005. Meanwhile, student’s academic level did not sginificantly influence (p=0,135).the student’s argumentation skills.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui signifikansi pengaruh dari  model pembelajaran Argument-Driven Inquiry, kemampuan akademik siswa, dan interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan kemampuan akademik terhadap keterampilan argumentasi siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan Pretest Post-test Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandar Lampung yang berjumlah 253 orang dan terbagi ke dalam 8 kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII E dan VIII G yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data dianalisis secara statistik dengan uji Ankova dan uji LSD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran ADI dan interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan kemampuan akademik berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan argumentasi dengan masing-masing nilai signifikansi 0,000 dan 0,005. Sedangkan kemampuan akademik tidak berpengaruh signifikan (p = 0,135) terhadap keterampilan argumentasi.Kata kunci: argument-driven inquiry, kemampuan akademik, keterampilan argumentasi.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of U type, chevron and theater seating formation on student learning outcomes. Sample by using purposive sampling that were class XI MIA 1 (experimental I, formation U), XI MIA 2 (experimental II, chevron formation), and XI MIA 3 (control, theater formation). The design of this study was a non-equivalent pretest-posttest. Measurement of effectiveness on cognitive aspects based on differences in N-gain, while the calculation of affective and psychomotor aspects based on the interpretation of qualitative achievement indices. The results showed that the average N-gain value, affective and psychomotoric aspects of the experimental class I was higher than the experimental class II and control class. Therefore, there were differences in the effectiveness of the three seating formations that are determined against learning ouatcomes and the U was the most effective then chevron and theater formations.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas formasi tempat duduk U, chevron dan teater terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yaitu kelas XI MIA 1 (eksperimen I, formasi U), XI MIA 2 (eksperimen II, formasi chevron), dan XI MIA 3 (kontrol, formasi teater). Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes-postes non ekuivalen. Pengukuran efektivitas pada aspek kognitif berdasarkan perbedaan N-gain, sedangkan perhitungan aspek afektif dan psikomotorik berdasarkan tafsir indeks prestasi kualitatif. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata N-gain, aspek afektif dan psikomotik kelas eksperimen I lebih tinggi dari pada kelas eksperimen II dan kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, terdapat perbedaan efektivitas dari ketiga formasi tempat duduk dengan formasi U yang paling efektif daripada formasi chevron dan teater.Kata kunci: efektivitas, formasi tempat duduk, hasil belajar

Abstract

This study aims were to determine the significance, closeness, direction, and contribution of knowledge about environmental change with the attitudes of students in 3R waste management in high school. The design used in this study was an ex post facto design. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling. The research data were obtained from tests and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using simple linear regression analysis. Hypothesis test results indicate that there was a significant relationship between knowledge about environmental change with attitudes in waste management 3R method, there was a closeness of the relationship with the medium category, and positive relationship between the two variables, thus knowledge of environmental change give low contributes to attitudes in 3R waste management.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui signifikansi, keeratan, arah, dan kontribusi dari pengetahuan tentang perubahan lingkungan dengan sikap peserta didik dalam pengelolaan sampah 3R di SMA. Desain yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah desain ex post facto. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh menggunakan diperoleh menggunakan tes dan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara  pengetahuan tentang perubahan lingkungan dengan sikap dalam pengelolaan sampah metode 3R, terdapat keeratan hubungan dengan kategori sedang, selanjutnya adanya hubungan yang positif antara kedua variabel, dengan demikian pengetahuan tentang perubahan lingkungan memberikan kontribusi yang rendah terhadap sikap dalam pengelolaan sampah 3R.                                                                                 Kata kunci: hubungan, metode 3R , pengelolaan sampah, pengetahuan, sikap

Abstract

This study aims to compare the knowledge of the interaction between living things with their environment and environmental concern. Sampling used purpose sampling. The research design was ex post facto. The results of the t-test showed that the students' knowledge and environmental concern in the school area of the TNWK are higher than the schools in the city. The results of a simple linear regression test showed that there was a relationship between the knowledge of interaction between living things and their environment and environmental concern of students in the school area of the TNWK and schools in the city. The conclusion of this study was there was a difference between the knowledge of interaction between living things and their environment and the attitude of caring for the students in the school of the TNWK area and in the City. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan pengetahuan tentang interaksi antara makhluk hidup dengan lingkungannya dan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purpose sampling. Desain penelitian adalah ex post facto. Hasil uji t menunjukkan pengetahuan dan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik di sekolah area kawasan TNWK lebih tinggi dibanding sekolah di kota. Hasil uji regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungannya dan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik di sekolah area kawasan TNWK maupun sekolah di Kota. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan antara pengetahuan interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungannya dan sikap peduli lingkungan peserta didik di sekolah area kawasan TNWK dan di Kota. Kata kunci : perbandingan, pengetahuan, sikap peduli lingkungan

Abstract

This study was aimed to know the influence of using remedial modules learning material on the minimum completeness criteria (MCC) student achievement. The research design was equivalent control group. Samples were all of the VIII class who have remedial and was selected by purposive sampling. The research data were quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative data were the average of pretest, posttest and gain were analyzed by U-test. The qualitative data was the student responses questionnaire were analyzed decriptively. The results showed that student achievement was increase with value average of pretest (35.38); posttest (73.42); and gain (0.59). The most of students (90.44%) gived positive respond to the using of remedial modules learning material. Thus, learning use remedial modules learning material influence to increas the MCC in the Human Circulatory System subject matter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bahan ajar modul remedial terhadap pencapaian kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) siswa. Desain penelitian adalah kelompok kontrol ekivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh kelas VIII yang mengalami remedial dan dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretest, postest dan gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata nilai pretest (35,38); posttest (73,42); dan gain (0,59). Sebagian besar siswa (90,44%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan bahan ajar modul remedial. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran dengan menggunakan bahan ajar modul remedial berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan KKM siswa pada materi pokok Sistem Peredaran Darah Manusia.  Kata kunci : hasil belajar kognitif siswa, modul remedial, sistem peredaran darah manusia

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) for improving students learning activities and students learning outcomes on environment subject matter. Samples were X5 and X6 from SMA N 1 Trimurjo 2013/2014 academic year that was choosen by purposive sampling. The research design was pretest-postest non equivalent. The quantitative data were students learning outcomes from pretest, postest score which analyzed using t-test and U-test. The qualitative data were students learning activities data, questionnaire responses that were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the average of learning activities increased in every aspect with adequate criteria (68,18). Most of students (77,27%-95,45%) gave positive responds and involved in PBL. PBL model improved students learning outcomes with N-gain average on medium criteria (67,98%). N-gain average of C4 indicator cognitif on experiment class was significantly different but was not significantly different on N-gain average of C2 indicator cognitif.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada meteri pokok lingkungan. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X5 dan X6 SMA N 1 Trimurjo tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Desain penelitian adalah pretes postes tak ekuivalen. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai pretes-postes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas, angket tanggapan dan keterlibatan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar meningkat di setiap aspek dengan kriteria cukup (68,18). Sebagian besar siswa (77,27%-95,45%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap model PBL dan terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran PBL. Penggunaan model PBL meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata N-gain berkriteria sedang (67,98%). Rata-rata N-gain pada indikator kognitif C4 kelas eksperimen berbeda signifikan, sedangkan rata-rata N-gain pada indikator kognitif C2 tidak berbeda signifikan.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, lingkungan, model PBL

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the effect of  student work sheet (SWS) based science process skill (SPS) towards student SPS. This research design was pretest-post test non-equivalent group. Samples were VIIC and VIIF that was chosen by purposive sampling. Quantitative data was obtained from the average value of test and analyzed by using t-test and U-test. Qualitative data was description of  student SPS, learning activities data and questionnaire responses were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the students SPS was still low, it was proofed by pretest average 13.07; post test average 25.75; and N-gain average 0.15. N-gain average on observation skils 0.17; interpretation skill 0.08; and communication skill 0.33. Whereas students average of learning activities was 60.25% with middle criteria. Beside that, the most of students (92.5%) gave postive responsed towards SWS based SPS. Thus, learning used SWS based SPS was influenced not significantly to improve students SPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lembar kerja siswa (LKS) berbasis  keterampilan proses sains (KPS) terhadap KPS siswa. Desain penelitian adalah  pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel yaitu kelas VIIC dan VIIF yang dipilih secara  purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan U. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi KPS, data aktivitas belajar, dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KPS siswa masih rendah yang dibuktikan dengan rata-rata pretes 13,07; rata-rata postes 25,75; dan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,15. Rata-rata N-gain pada keterampilan observasi 0,17; keterampilan interpretasi 0,08; dan keterampilan komunikasi sebesar 0,33. Sedangkan rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 60,25%  yang berkriteria sedang. Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa (92,5%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap LKS berbasis KPS. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis KPS berpengaruh tidak signifikan dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa. Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, KPS, LKS berbasis KPS

Abstract

The research objective was to know the influence of project besed learning model toward student’s material mastery. The design of the research was pretest-posttest group design. The sample of the research were the students of grade VIIb and VIIc of MTs Nurul Iman Sekincau that were chosen by using cluster random sampling technique. The research data were qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data were the description of students questionair comments. The quantitative data acquired from the mean test score that were analyzed used T-test and U-test. The research result showed that there was influence of that learning model with the mean of pretest score (7.64); posttest (47); and N-Gain (39,35). The mean of N-Gain analysis out come of each cognitif indicatore on C1 was 27.67 and C2 was 42.27. Learning using project based learning influence not significant toward students material mastery.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran project based learning terhadap penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest group design. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIb dan VIIc yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling di MTs Nurul Iman Sekincau. Data penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi angket tanggapan siswa. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-T dan uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran tersebut dengan rata-rata nilai pretes (7,64); postes (47); dan N-gain (39,35). Hasil analisis rata-rata N-gain setiap indikator kognitif pada C1 rata-ratanya sebesar 27,67 dan C2 sebesar 42,27. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of long exposure of 0.1 mT magnetic field to root length of mung bean sprouts and the results of the research are used as material for making student’s worksheets. Research compiled in acompletely randomized design (CRD) with one factor that is a long exposure of 0.1mT magnetic field consisting of control (0 min), 7'48", 11'44" and 15'36". The mung beans used in the research were variety of Arta Ijo. The parameters measured were seedling root length. Data were analyzed variance followed by LSD test at level α = 5%. The results showed that 0.1 mT magnetic field exposure affects root length of mung bean sprouts. Treatment led to the highest root growth is 15'36". Experts test results on the student’s worksheet show that it  can be used as a source of learning material.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama pemaparan medan magnet 0,1 mT terhadap panjang akar kecambah kacang hijau dan hasilnya dijadikan bahan untuk membuat LKS. Penelitian disusun dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan satu faktor yaitu lama pemaparan medan magnet 0,1 mT yang terdiri atas kontrol (0 menit), 7'48", 11'44" dan 15'36". Kacang hijau yang digunakan adalah varietas Arta Ijo. Parameter yang diukur adalah panjang akar kecambah. Data dianalisis ragam dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT pada taraf α=5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemaparan medan magnet 0,1 mT memengaruhi panjang akar kecambah kacang hijau.  Perlakuan yang menyebabkan pertumbuhan akar tertinggi adalah 15'36". Hasil uji ahli terhadap LKS yang disusun menunjukkan bahwa LKS tersebut layak dijadikan sumber belajar. Kata kunci :  kacang hijau, LKS, medan magnet, panjang akar kecambah

Abstract

Critical thinking skills should be owned by everyone. Observations indicate that the students’ thinking skills of class IX SMP N 8 Bandar Lampung had been developed. Therefore, it is necessary to act as a solution to improve the students’ thinking skills. One way to use multimedia animation through cooperative learning model STAD type. This research aimed to find out the effect of the use of multimedia animation with cooperative learning model STAD type to the students' thinking skills on the subject matter of the Human Reproductive System.The research design was pretest-posttest design are not equivalent. The research sample is class IX A and IX B are selected from the population at random cluster sampling. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of the pretest, posttest, and N-gain satistik analyzed. Qualitative data in the form of student activity data taken using the rubric student activity data and student responses to learning using multimedia animation with type STAD cooperative learning model that analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the use of multimedia animation with cooperative learning model STAD type significantly affect toward students' thinking skills. In addition, an increase of students critical thinking in the experimental class with an average N-gain 63.95%  is medium criteria, on average N-gain of all the indicators of students in the experimental class students' thinking skills also increased the amount of 65.88% with criteria being. The average percentage of student learning activities in all aspects of that observed in the experimental class has medium criteria 71.75%. In addition, most students responded positively to the use of multimedia animation through cooperative learning model STAD type.  Keywords: Multimedia Animation, STAD, critical thinking skills, The Human Reproductive System
