Abstract

The problem of this research is does the approach of realistic mathematics education with drill method is effective against mathematics learning outcomes third grade students of SDN Peterongan Semarang in the academic year 2016/ 2017? Based on the problems posed hypotheses as follows: realistic approach to mathematics education with drill method is effective against mathematics learning outcomes third grade students of SDN Peterongan Semarang academic year 2016/ 2017. The goals to be achieved in this study was to determine the effectiveness of the approach is realistic mathematics education methods drill on learning outcomes third grade students of elementary mathematics N Peterongan Semarang in the school year 2016/ 2017. this type of research is quantitative. The population in this study were students of class III Elementary School Peterongan Semarang. The sample class III A control group of 32 students and class III B as an experimental group of 32 students. Experimental research design using a true experimental design, shape chosen is posttest only control group desaign. Data collection tool used is multiple choice test. The results of the t test analyzes is one side (right side) obtained t arithmetic t table is 5.461 1.670, then Ho is rejected. Thus, the realistic approach to mathematics education with drill methods have the significant difference to student learning outcomes experimental class control class. Acquisition of individual mastery learning in the experimental group that is 100% and the average value of 84.218. A control group with a percentage of 87.5% and the average value of 73.718. So it can be concluded that the approach of realistic mathematics education with drill method is effective against mathematics learning outcomes third grade students of SDN Peterongan Semarang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the development strategy of the skill in writing a narrative text with theURW technique in the early Elementary School class. The research employed a descriptive-qualitativeapproach. It describes and analyzes the learning strategies of writing a narrative text with the URWtechniques. The data in this study included the actions and documents concerning the planning,implementation, and evaluation of learning. The data collection techniques used observation, interview,documentation, and questionnaires. The validity of the data employed a triangulation of data orsource. The data analysis applied an interactive model: data reduction, data display, and conclusion/ veri􀂿 cation. The analysis of quantitative data was used to determine the assessment of a narrativewriting skill with the URW techniques in the early primary school class. The results of this study showthat the URW techniques can be developed with a wide range, for example, the development of the Uraitechniques, the development of Time and Space techniques. The assessment of learning a narrativewriting skill with the URW techniques in class III of Primary Schools showed signi􀂿 cant improvement.This can be seen in the analysis of the data from three locations showing an increase. The highestincrease was in SD Muhammadiyah Pajangan at 92%, Muhammadiyah Senggotan at 88% and SDMuhammadiyah 3 Ambarketawang at 77%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of the Active Knowledge Sharing model with the scientific approach to the self-confidence of fourth grade elementary school students. This research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design design. This study used two experimental groups (Active Knowledge Sharing Model) and two control groups (ordinary learning). The population in this study consisted of an experimental group consisting of SDN Balangan 1 and SDN Sendangharjo, and the control group consisted of SDN Balangan 2 and SDN Kebonagung. Instruments used in collecting data in the form of non-test instruments in the form of a questionnaire to measure students' confidence level. Test data normality using Kolmogrov_Smirnov and homogeneity test using Box's M. Data test was analyzed using independent sample t-test. Result of Independent Sample t-test above, obtained by significance value of dependent variable of confidence sig. 0.05, ie 0.008 0.05. This means that H0 is rejected and Ha accepted, the conclusion is that there is a difference of influence between the experimental class and the control class on the student's self-confidence

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Cooperative Script (CS), Artikulasi, and Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model on understanding the concepts of elementary school students. This study used a quasi-experimental research method with Counterbalance design. This study used sample of 5th grade students in three elementary schools with  total 75 students. The schools are SDN Pakembangan, SDN Kutakembaran 1, and SDN Kutakembaran 2. The instruments used included a concept understanding test, observation sheets, and documentation. Data analysis used was statistical testing with independent t-test which was previously tested for normality, homogeneity, and two mean difference at a significant level of 0.05. The results showed that the understanding of the concept of students who took learning with CS was better than students who took Artikulasi and CIRC. It was reviewed based on the student average score in the study I was 75.0, study II was 75.2 and 76.8 in the study III. The results of the two-difference test mean in study I, II, and III of the CS model obtained a significant value (2-tailed) 0.000 0.05. It means that there is a significant difference between the use of CS, Artikulasi, and CIRC models. Most of the students showed a positive attitude towards learning with CS  model. Based on the findings, social studies learning with CS model can be used as an alternative learning model to improve the concept understanding of elementary students .

Abstract

The background of this research is fact in the field regarding low knowledge of the community about disaster mitigation. Besides, there is no knowledge material presentation about volcano eruption disaster mitigation that routinely scheduled at schools in disaster prone areas. A media is needed to deliver knowledge material about mitigation and can be integrated in learning. This research aims to develop and determine the feasibility of picture story books about volcano eruption disaster mitigation for elementary school students in disaster prone areas. This is a Research and Development which carried out eight stages. The result of the assessments from the media expert is 85.33 (very good), material expert is 89.6 (very good), language expert is 76 (good), product test is 95.08 (very good), and application test is 88.66 (very good). All assessments average score is 86.93 converted into qualitative data is in the category of "Very Good".

Abstract

This purpose of the research was to determine the effectiveness of learning start with a questionmethods on geometry learning. The effectiveness of these methods would be compared withpresentation method. The method of this research was quasi experimental method with 2x1factorial design. The population in this study was the third semester students at PGSD IKIPPGRI MADIUN while the sample was 3G as an experimental class and 3C as the control class.The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Methods of data collection in thisstudy was test method and divided into two: pre-test and post-test. Data analysis techniquesused in this study is a t-test with two independent samples. The results of this study were learningstarts with a question method was more effective than presentation method.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of PPL (Professional and Teaching Practiceat School) for PGSD FKIP UMS students; PGSD students’ perception towards PPL.This research is descriptive with qualitative approach. Sources of data in this study arestudents, mentor teachers coordinator, and lecturers as PPL supervisor. Data collectiontechniques used were questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The questionnairewere obtained from 60 students to determine VII semester PGSD FKIP UMS students’perceptions about PPL 2013. Interviews were conducted to students who had attendedthe PPL, coordinator of mentor teachers, and lecturers.. Data analysis techniques performedinteractively. The validity of the data used triangulation technique. Based on theresults of research conducted by researchers at the school with good quality, medium, andregular shows that the number of 35 or 58.33 % of the students expressed that one poin tobe improved is in terms of the time of registration. A number of 50 or 83.33 % of thestudents stated that in the partner schools do not have science labs and learning of mathematicsas a suggestion. A total of 60 or 100 % of students stated that the performance ofmentor teachers’ coordinator in carrying out the task was quite good. Some 21 or 31 % ofstudents stated that some mentor teachers were still using conventional learning strategiesor unable to model an active and innovative teachers for the student-teachers. Atotal of 40 or 66.67 % of the students stated that the performance of the supervisors needsto be improved, especially to guide students in preparing and developing student-teachers’learning program at school and in assisting them writing final report of PPL. A number of41 or 68.33 % of the students stated that it is mandatory to give a memento to the partnerschool. Some 57 or 95 % of students stated that students are required to have teachingpractice exams at partner school. It was concluded that the good cooperation betweenthe organizers of the PPL, students, supervisors, teacher and mentor teacher coordinatorto facilitate the implementation of the PPL .

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model with ethnoscience to the improvement of creative thinking skills in the process of making tempe. The subjects in this study were 40 students in one school in Banyumas district. This type of research is quantitative research. The research method used one group pre-test and post-test design. Based on the results of the analysis obtained data pre-test and post-test creative thinking skills with a n-gain score of 0.7 with a high category. The results of the questionnaire for creative thinking skills were 14 students in the high category, 23 students in enough categories, and 3 students in the low category. It can be concluded that learning using the ethnics-charged Project Based Learning (PjBL) model can improve student's creative thinking skills in elementary schools.

Abstract

Abstrak: This research aimed to describe the child-friendly school policy in two child-friendly pilot primary schools. This research concern: “How does the implementation of child-friendly school policy based child rights at primary school?” The method that used in this research was a qualitative type of phenomenology. The data were collected by observation method, interview, and documentation. The data analysis technique that used was phenomenology research data analysis of Burke Johnson and Larry Christensen. The results showed that there were 3 discoveries related to child-friendly school policies in primary schools. First, the child-friendly school policies were designed and implemented to ensure children's rights were fulfilled. Second, the child-friendly school policies were implemented in learning area, the school social environments, the school’s physical environment, and infrastructure facilities. Third, the child-friendly school policies were applied to create condition conducive and fun in school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of child-friendly education in shapingthe character of low-grade elementary school students at Muhammadiyah SpecialProgramme in the academic year 2013/2014. This research is qualitative research. Thesubjects of the study were low-grade teachers and students. Research procedure includesseveral phases: pre-fi eld, phase fi eld activities, and post-fi eld.The data collection used areinterviews, observation, fi eld notes and documentation. Data is analized through descriptivequalitative: data reduction, data display and verifi cation to draw conclusions. The fi ndingsinform that the child-friendly education is done through routinity, exemplary teachers, thelearning process and the advice given to students. Constraints in the character formationare parenting, environment and the increasing of sophisticated technology. Solutionsare done through home visit, through books liaison and communication with parents. Theconclusion from this study is the implementation of child-friendly education in shapingthe character of low grade students performed in a variety of activities both inside andoutside the learning process of the learning process. Child-friendly education is done inSD Muhammadiyah Special Program Kotta West can shape the character of students.
